Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Sorry don't have time to quote.

We were home from the hospital when I posted the 1st time TE. They actually had us in and out of the ER in less than 3 hours

Called and scheduled the nuerologist and the EEG. Neurologist is scheduled for May 26th. Waiting for a call back to schedule the EEG which needs to be doone before he see the neurologist.

Otherwise Jimmy is fine. He is playing, reading, watching Tv, playing on the computer, and right now I am posting from Burger King becasue he was hungry and he is playing in the playground:confused3

Thank you all so much got the hugs, good thoughts, and prayers. It means more than you will ever know:hug:

I'm so pleased Janet, I hope it was nothing :hug::hug:

I've spent the whole day cleaning, tidying, ironing etc so I can golf tomorrow :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Hey all. It's been a heckl of morning. We had Jimmy at the ER at 4:00am. He had a siezure. They don't know the cause. They ran all the tests, scans, etc and all came back normal. They want him to see a neurologist, so I have to call them at 9:00am. May be back later.

Sorry the carppy news first thing in the morning. Love you all:hug:

:hug::hug:

Not a good morning around here , huh?

I got a call at about 1130 from KC, his Uncle was brought to the hospital with pneumonia and isn't expected to last very long. He has been ill before and they think this is it. He is meeting up with his dad and brother at the hospital now.

On the better news front....I got a call from a place I applied to yesterday! I put the application in last night and got the call this morning. It's a comic book shop in the east village in NYC. It seems like it would be a fun job. They have a location in Brooklyn too.

Yesterday was much fun for KC's birthday. I took him to his fav pub for homemade ale and Irish food. We had the best cheese plate and corned beef hash! Then we went to trivia at another bar in the village that we used to a lot. We stayed for a bit (and a Guinness) and were home fairly early.

Today i am playing catch up online and at home, getting myself together again since I have been crazy for the last few days. I start training for the census next week too.

Hi gang!

Wow, I'm feeling like a stranger around here! :lmao:

It's been a crappy week. First our computer's power source took a crap, then our garage door opener broke and finally my mother backed into my new-ish car.

Hope you all are doing well! :goodvibes

I have to read more carefully I thought you said "I took a CARP!!!!":rotfl2:

Good news Judy has her vehicle back and I have a rental!!! Judy dropped me and 3 kids off at what we thought was Enterprise maninly cuz I was told next to Arby's and it wasn't so we had to HOOF it 3 very long blocks as Judy had left!!:rotfl2: Get there and girl says I don't think what we got for you will work....A silverado Truck .. Oh yes it will work , they pull it around and the 2 boys are in it before they finished parking it :rotfl2:

So I am sporting a HUGE Truck and loving it once I get in :worship:it :rotfl2:

Have to go do my annual med pour at 4 pm:scared1: Did I mention I am on vacation this week !!!:rolleyes1:lmao::lmao: I think I need to get back to work for a REST!!!!!
Will chat later after pour and a few hours at the HOUSE!!!!!

it's been a long, long, time. too long actually! i saw what janet was going through and just wanted to stop by and give some hugs. your child having a seizure is one of the scariest things in the world.

Hi, Rachel!

Sorry don't have time to quote.

I'm glad he's feeling fine now. As I said, my friend's daughter has had 2, maybe, but there's nothing actually wrong. Scary, but not too worrisome in the long run. I hope this is the case for you, too.

I've spent the whole day cleaning, tidying, ironing etc so I can golf tomorrow :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Nice! I spent the day dusting, vacuuming and mopping so my MIL can actually come in my house. :rotfl2: (Actually, from being home all week, it wasn't bad today.)

I got a call at about 1130 from KC, his Uncle was brought to the hospital with pneumonia and isn't expected to last very long. He has been ill before and they think this is it. He is meeting up with his dad and brother at the hospital now.

I think I need to get back to work for a REST!!!!!

I think so, too!

***********************************************************
Woody seems much better today, but since he went to bed with a fever, I decided to keep him home one more day. I'll stretch the 24 hour rule, but not even 12 seemed like a bit too much stretching, you know? :rotfl:

I think he'll definitely go tomorrow. Two days, then off for a week. Fantastic.

So, assuming he goes to school, I'll go to my fun tennis class, then pick up MIL. I thought her "regular" flight usually landed around 10:40, but either they changed it or I'm nuts, because it's 10:04. My class doesn't get out til 10:30, then it's about a 20 minute drive to the airport, but she says she doesn't mind waiting. :rolleyes1

We'll have to take the kids to karate both tomorrow and Friday, since they've not been yet this week. They're supposed to test for new belts on Saturday. :thumbsup2

D forgot to call the lawn guys, and they came today - which is only an issue because the sprinkler guys haven't come yet. So, I went out and tried to use the hose to at least wet the whole lawn down to help with the fertilizer, otherwise that was a waste. :headache:

We are going the last weekend in May/First week of June. I am making dd some outfits. I am going to embroider Chip & Dale (her request) on a shirt I bought from Old Navy. I am almost through with a Mickey outfit (been working on this one for a while now). She also wants me to make her a Darth Vader/Yoda outfit for SWW. Why can't my dd like Princesses more? I'm also going to make her a shirt out of some Tinkerbell/fairies fabric. I might make her a Snow White dress - not sure on that one.
She's going to look adorable! :goodvibes Sewing is also something I want to learn to do.

Can you go and visit him while he is in Germany?
For now that's the plan, but he's not sure if he'll get leave because there might not be anyone to relieve him.

The PTA called me the day after my "interview" and told me that they want me to be the fundraising chair
Good luck. :thumbsup2

Here is mine...

That is awesome, Kat! :cool1:

Does that mean you will have NO health insurance while he is deployed:confused3
I'll have Tricare, but I wanted to use my UHC because I know all of my doctors take it and I don't think they take Tricare.

Nope, didn't see that one and I am right there with you. Sports or the history channel. Have you ever seen Pawn Stars.
I do watch Pawn Stars. Old Man makes me laugh. I also like Deadliest Catch on Discovery. :thumbsup2

My poor kids. Woody was good last night, but woke up this morning with the highest fever he's had since it all started Saturday night, and he now has a stomach ache. :( Buzz (I can't believe I forgot this) got hit in the eye with a baseball at practice last night. By a coach. He's got a bit of swelling and bruising today - nothing big, but still... Sigh.
Oh my! I hope they are feeling better by now.

one of the lady members husband died in the early hours. He's been suffering with depression and also had Parkinsons and he took an over dose last night. He was about 70 and it's probably a huge relief for his wife but....... also because it's suicide it makes everything so complicated :sad2: Also David's best client (who D actually thinks of as a surrogate Dad) has just found out he has a tumour in his face :sad1: he has a biopsy and scans and stuff tomorrow to see how far it has spread :sad1: D is really upset!
Oh, Jo! How sad.

I got a new Netbook and my job is going well. :thumbsup2
I got a new Netbook too but haven't told Mitch yet. :rolleyes1

Is your job temporary?

The bday weekend was wonderful, but too short. :goodvibes
I'm glad you had such a good time. :yay:

Called and scheduled the nuerologist and the EEG. Neurologist is scheduled for May 26th. Waiting for a call back to schedule the EEG which needs to be doone before he see the neurologist.
It sounds like the doctor's aren't too concerned if they feel he can wait a month which is great news. How scary for you all however.

I have decided that my perfect job would be traffic Nazi at the airport. Riding on a Segway and whistling at people to move would be right up my alley. :rolleyes1

Mitch still doesn't have orders for this weekend, but we have to go, so we're going to drive. It's 7 hours which isn't too bad, but at least I can take loads more carp. ;) My friend's parents live in Chattanooga, and are going to meet them for dinner Saturday night. Her dad's retired Air Force, so her mother knows just what I"m going through although I don't think her dad was gone for this long at a time. (Did I already tell you this?!) Sorry if I did. Unfortunately the Braves :cheer2: won't be in town whist we're there, so we probably won't be doing much else.

Oh my! I hope they are feeling better by now.

Buzz is fine, but Woody was home again today. I think he's good now, though. :thumbsup2

Well I passed my med pour and am good for another year!! What is hard about it is you HAVE to do 3 reads on each med which doubles the time it takes !! But I did get complimented on how I got one of the consumers to totally do his own glucose read (other than reading the #) He always does it for me but apparently not for many others !!

I was too tired to go to my HOUSE so I am Home for the night !!!!

Janet - so sorry, please keep us up to date (BTW, did I see you post about him starting a new allergy med? could this be a reaction?)

Kat - were you at McSorley's by any chance, I have fond memories of that place;)

CE - hope your boy feels better

That's it, I'm tired and have 2 pugs on top of me snoring:)

V has a new trip report, just so y'all know. ;)

Kat - meant to say earlier that your cake looks great! I also checked out the cookie cupcake recipe. Looks yummy.

Went to the dr today and I have a sinus infection and bronchitis. They gave me a breathing treatment in their office and I spent $125 at the pharmacy. My inlaws are coming tomorrow and I really need to get the house clean, but can't. I called my mil and told her she's going to have to put sheets on the bed, unless she wants me contaminating them and the house is not so clean. She said she doesn't care.

I had 2 people ask me if I could embroider something for them and they need it by Saturday. Thankfully I don't have any more embroidery to do right now, so I can get them done tomorrow and to them Friday morning before Mr Diz & I head out to HHI.

Hello Everyone!!!
None of the buttons for font, color, size or smileys are working!!!!????

The PTA called me the day after my "interview" and told me that they want me to be the fundraising chair because I had some good fundraising ideas. I was thinking I should have kept my ideas to myself b/c that sounds like a lot of work, but I talked to one of my friends on the PTA and she said it isn't that bad and actually less work than the Secretary position. They decided they were going to give the Secretary a committee, along with secretary responsibilities, and in charge of the website and updating the website.

I posted on the community board looking for more ideas and got a couple more ideas from them.

Cool!

Well I still don't have any idea what I am doing on my trip. To add to my pressure is my final next week. I am now going to have to get that done before I leave. On the positive side I won't have to study on my down time.
I may treat my mom and aunt to dinner at the Rose and Crown partly because I can get an ADR there and partly because I have always wanted to try it but my family doesn't. Of course when I told my mom about the restaurant the 1st thing she asked is if they have steak and kidney pie.
Thankfully they don't or I would be eating at a separate table.

Oh well I better get some school work done. Have a good night all.

I'm sure it will all work out fine.

Man you are good at the updating!!!! Glad Doug's feeling better! You need to tell your brother to pay to take you to NYC and visit me! LOL we'd have a ball.

So about 5 hours later the cake is done. I can't believe how it came out.

Here is the original picture....

I am impressed with myself. He is finally on his way home now, and will be here in about an hour. I am going to video tape him seeing it, hopefully he doesn't use any bad words and then i can post it here
Thanks! I would but when he and his wife go away, they don't want to be bothered with anyone else. I'm so sure we could have a good time.

The cake came out great! I'm glad KC had a good B-day. Sorry about his uncle. Congrats on the job!

Hey all. Just a quick pop in to say . Took Jimmy to his OT appointment, cam home, had dinner, did homework, hung outside for a bit and then came in and got Jimmy into to bed. That is done now so I am going to go get ready for bed and watch Pawn Stars.

Have a good night

We like Pawn Stars too.

My poor kids. Woody was good last night, but woke up this morning with the highest fever he's had since it all started Saturday night, and he now has a stomach ache. Buzz (I can't believe I forgot this) got hit in the eye with a baseball at practice last night. By a coach. He's got a bit of swelling and bruising today - nothing big, but still... Sigh.

Hope you are all having a better start to your day!

CE I feel so bad for your kids. I hope Woody has a quick recovery. A shiner from a baseball is the pits.

Morning all.

I have the late shift with the kids today but it's now only about 2 hours. I don't know if I mentioned that my SIL got a promotion and raise at work. He is now a full-fledged supervisor and is salaried. That means no more OT so he is home early now. It's good for them all because he can spend some time with the kids.

I was up and showered, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and vacuumed the whole house, took out the trash and recycle stuff by 9 AM. It made me realize why I like babysitting. I would be bored without the little ones to keep me busy.

It's my DIL's birthday so I will have to get her something today. I tried buying a card yesterday but it's really tough. She is not always my favorite kid in law. There is a lot of history but suffice it to say she has done some very mean things to me over the years. My youngest wouldn't even go to my son's wedding reception because of his wife. I try but I just can't get a card that says how sweet and wonderful she is.

Oh well I have 2 chapters to read and my trip to get ready for so I will check back later. Have a good day all.

It's tough to express yourself in a card if you don't have that warm/fuzzy feeling about someone. I stuck scratch-off lottery tix in my Bros card.

Another beautiful sunny day here, I golfed in shorts today . We had some bad news though, one of the lady members husband died in the early hours. He's been suffering with depression and also had Parkinsons and he took an over dose last night. He was about 70 and it's probably a huge relief for his wife but....... also because it's suicide it makes everything so complicated Also David's best client (who D actually thinks of as a surrogate Dad) has just found out he has a tumour in his face he has a biopsy and scans and stuff tomorrow to see how far it has spread. D is really upset!

So there's my jolly news, sorry!

That's very sad on both counts.

Hi gang!

Wow, I'm feeling like a stranger around here!

It's been a crappy week. First our computer's power source took a crap, then our garage door opener broke and finally my mother backed into my new-ish car.

But on a happy note, I got a new Netbook and my job is going well.

Hope you all are doing well!

Dang! I'm glad that it doesn't seem to be gettin' you down too much.

Hi All!! Just a quick drive by.

Was online trying to upload pics on FB but of course it gives me a stupid error message. I'm trying to get some pics of AKV up for T and someone else (sorry forgot who ) who wanted to see it. It was sooo nice. It is far from the main Lodge, but still very nice. The only negative, I didn't like that the studio had a double bed and pull out. I guess the only studio that has 2 real beds for DVC villas is OKW. It's a shame really, you're spending so much $$ for this Deluxe resort and they can't even put in a 2 beds. Whatever, still very nice. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

The bday weekend was wonderful, but too short.

I'd love to see the pics.

Hey all. It's been a heckl of morning. We had Jimmy at the ER at 4:00am. He had a siezure. They don't know the cause. They ran all the tests, scans, etc and all came back normal. They want him to see a neurologist, so I have to call them at 9:00am. May be back later.

Janet I was stunned when I read this. I am so sorry that you and Jimmy had to go through it. I am glad that they found nothing on the scans. That is very good news. It sounds like he doesn't remember too much about it. That's also good. I will send a big prayer up for Jimmy.

Good news Judy has her vehicle back and I have a rental!!! Judy dropped me and 3 kids off at what we thought was Enterprise maninly cuz I was told next to Arby's and it wasn't so we had to HOOF it 3 very long blocks as Judy had left!! @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
I just got inside 45 minutes ago. I've got pizza upstairs waiting on me. It was a long day of work around the house and yard. I still need to give all 3 dogs a bath. JOY!

I'm back to work for 4 nights starting tomorrow if my back isn't hurting me too bad.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Just coming by to say hello and offer hugs for Janet! So sorry you and Jimmy had to go through that. I hope his tests don't turn up anything serious. In the meantime, hug him for us!

Nothing too exciting is happening here, so I haven't bothered to post. I've been reading along though. Sorry to hear that some of our peeps/peep-lets are sick. Kat, sorry to hear about KC's uncle. Great job on the cake! Angela: give Moochy a big hug from me! Enjoy your time! Mo: So glad that Rocky's feeling good enough to snuggle and snore! Poor Ce's kiddos! Hope they're on the mend.

I hope I'm not forgetting anyone.
Things are going along fine here. Other than a daily eyeball update, I don't have much to share so I haven't bothered posting. My surgery went fine. I'm healing.
Kids are good. Gus has a cold and has been home but he's feeling a little better.
NotBob's co-worker (and sometimes mentor) died of a massive coronary this morning, so that's not good. He's EXTREMELY stressed and upset about this as the guy was pretty much the only other person in their department and now it all falls squarely on NB. Sadly, the guy was SO young, 52! He seemed healthy enough though. :confused3 He has two older, college-age, teenagers and I just think they must be totally devastated. So sad.

Not too much else here. SD is having his first campus visit to a great business school north of us. I can't stop thinking about it and then I get all weepy and poor NB has to comfort me again. :sad2: I'm not going to handle him leaving home well.

Hope you are all well (Or as well as can be). Love you Fockers!

MEL:banana:

My poor kids. Ouch! Poor kiddos!

Oh my! That's so sad... sorry to hear about all that. I hope D's client is ok.
Oh, my. Is it bad Focker karma week, or what?
No kidding!

Hi All!! Just a quick drive by.

Was online trying to upload pics on FB but of course it gives me a stupid error message. I'm trying to get some pics of AKV up for T and someone else (sorry forgot who :flower3: ) who wanted to see it. It was sooo nice. It is far from the main Lodge, but still very nice. Oh Z! I didn't realize you didn't know a "studio" was technically half living room/half bedroom. You probably would have been better off non-villa, as those have 2 beds. Oh and they're queen sized, not doubles. Ahem. ;) Glad you had a great weekend, though. You're in Disney... no sleeping! :rotfl:

How much damage to the car?
Not worth the deductable, that's for sure.

I got the cheapest netbook I could find with Windows 7. It's an Asus Eee PC, and I love it! I haven't heard anything great about the iPad either...so I'm not really interested. I think a netbook out performs and iPad, though... I mean sure there are apps, but that's what an iPod is for. I dunno, I guess I'm not that into the iPads, KWIM?
Today i am playing catch up online and at home, getting myself together again since I have been crazy for the last few days. I start training for the census next week too.[/COLOR]
Good luck with that. My advice is to try to get look really interested and cozy up to the Crew Leader, as they'll be choosing a Crew Leader Asst., which entails less foot work and more admin duties.
I have to read more carefully I thought you said "I took a CARP!!!!":rotfl2:
:lmao:

I got a new Netbook too but haven't told Mitch yet. :rolleyes1
:lmao: Now you can Skype with him when he's overseas!
Is your job temporary?
Yes... it's only as long as it takes to complete the Census work. I'm contracted until right before we leave for WDW, around mid-late June. Perfect timing, IMO. ;)
Dang! I'm glad that it doesn't seem to be gettin' you down too much.
They're only "things", KWIM? :goodvibes

I see you're a busy lady again, Kristel...take care and glad to hear Doug is doing good.

I hope I'm not forgetting anyone.

Things are going along fine here. Other than a daily eyeball update, I don't have much to share so I haven't bothered posting. My surgery went fine. I'm healing.
Good to hear things are "looking" good with your eyes. ;)

Sorry to hear about NotBob's co-worker... how tragic!

**********************************************
Not much going on here. I worked in the office today... all I have to say is UGH! I don't like people... KWIM? I guess I'm just not a people person. Seriously though, I had to help people complete their new employee forms and seriously the worse things I encountered were 1. Stink *** breath - DUDES, brush your freakin' grill! and 2. Stink *** bodies! DUDES, take a bath! Covering your stink *** body with perfume just makes you smell like flowery farts. Sorry, that's my PSA for the day. :lmao:

Oh and change your dang clothes! Don't come in lookin' like you rolled outta bed. :teeth: That is all!

Evening All! :hippie:

Sorry I forgot you, T.

Omg! Personal hygeine is NOT optional!!!!!! Lol

Just coming by to say hello
I'm glad you're checking in. :goodvibes

NotBob's co-worker (and sometimes mentor) died of a massive coronary this morning
Give NB a hug from us. That is so terrible.

Not too much else here. SD is having his first campus visit to a great business school north of us.
How exciting for him, but I know it makes you sad. You have prepared him well though.

Now you can Skype with him when he's overseas!
That was part of my plan. ;)

Oh and change your dang clothes! Don't come in lookin' like you rolled outta bed. :teeth:
Ditto when flying! I can't believe what some people leave the house looking like.

I'm trying to get the house cleaned up for the house sitter, but Mitch has so much stuff everywhere, it's nearly impossible! At least the sheets and the bathrooms are clean. :thumbsup2 And she really won't care that the house is a little messy.

:hippie:

so, you had a good day at work? ;)

Morning all. I read through the posts but not really commenting on them.

Janet - I hope Jimmy is doing better today. My one brother had seizures a few times when he was little and it proved to be nothing. I'll keep you in my prayers but I have positive thoughts that it will prove to be nothing.

I'm am keeping up with my super hectic pace. I have the kids today, need to pick up the oldest grandson for baseball practice, try to get some more reading done for class and study for the final. AND the biggest thing is start getting my lists together to start packing. I leave in 8 days. :woohoo:
Doing the single digit dance. I am also beginning to fear the trip a little. I now have my mom and my aunt for several days. She is joining us on saturday and staying til monday. I am really hoping to get the CP to let us keep the ADR once I'm down there.
On the "good" side I have been ordered into a scooter by my orthopedist. I tore a ligament in my foot where it attaches to the bone 2 months ago. It is not healing as quickly as it should have so I am not allowed to do extensive walking. :worship: the dr. because now my mom cannot say anything.

Have a good day all.

Drive by while I eat lunch.

OMG - I got spring fever, it is gorgeous here, sooo not motivated to work and I have to leave at 3 today for the foot dr. Yes, I am still getting those lovely nerve flushes.:headache:

Anyone, hear from Janet, I checked facebook today before coming here.

Maybe I'll give her a call later.

T - OMG, at least you don't have to tell these folks they stink.

I had to (with HR present) once, OMG, it was horrible!!!!

Angela - I agree, I wish folks were forced to look in a mirror before they left the house and go through a stink - o -meter to let them know it was safe to go out in public.

Mel - so sorry about NB's coworker, that is young and his poor family.

MEL:banana:

So sorry to hear about NB's co worker !! I feel for the family and NB too!!!

I echo Mel's thoughts for Janet

Mel the empty nest syndrome is tough !!! But my baby came back :thumbsup2She said for 6 months .. at the time Kyle was 18months old ..he is now 8 !!! Dang long 6 months :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well First the good news I have my car back finally:banana::banana: This morning has been chaotic , first I took Kyle for fasting bloodwork to Quest and when I made the appointment I said PEDIATRIC!! The woman we got was Atilla the Huns sister !!:scared1: No patience at all kept telling him before she even started to stop tapping his fingers as it was annoying her .:scared1: Came at him with the FULL sized needle and was not at all pacifying when he pulled away, after 2 minutes she disposed of the needle and said "We're done ":sad2: I hate that the insurance dictates where he can go for labs !!! Anywho I had to have labs done for pre op and at the hospital so I let him watch and the 2 lab techs there were awesome , they showed him a baby needle and the other patient said to watch her too !! He now says he will do it but at a different Quest and he wants the liittle needle !:worship::worship:!
We then had aan EKG done on Kyle with NO trouble he went in all by himself :banana:Steph had to have a back Xray and of course went in alone !! She cracked me up afterwards . The Tech was a young man and Steph did not take off her underwear and when he told her to she saifd " You are kidding me for real I have to take them off !! She continued "Gram he was a man ":rotfl2::rotfl2:"That ain't right":lmao::lmao:

So I have had quite a day !!! Now it;s laundry cleaning and supper to be done !! Did I mention I am on semi vacation!!!:lmao::lmao:
