What are you supposed to do if it is broken? Having to wait two weeks seems like a long time.

Oh no if there had been something obvious they'd have told me there but because they're looking for little things (arthritis) it takes longer!

Vanity, tile for the tub surround, faucets (and, well, a tub, but we're getting plain white basic, so there's not a lot of picking there...). We didn't buy anything, but have ideas now. He came home and took out the drop ceiling. The jerks who built this house put a PVC drain pipe across the whole ceiling, so we'll have to do that again, but it needs to be redone. We are trying not to do the floor over - the lady tiled it to try to sell the house - but D is thinking he may wind up having to do it anyway. He wants to demo the vanity/tub and see where we stand before he decides.

I need to call the peditrician as soon as they open. Jimmy said this morning that his mouth and neck hurt. What he means his throat hurts and when he says that it is usually strep

Jo - thought I quoted you but must have missed the button. Anyway, yeah, the pipe runs from one corner to the other, and it's kind of half-in, half out of the wall. There's also a hole in the ceiling that allows you to see up into the upstairs bathroom closet. And, just for kicks, some sort of electrical wire that comes out of a hole over the mirror, then goes back in. No idea what it is or why it comes in and out of the wall.

This is why D says he loves our neighborhood, but hates our house. Every time we go to do something, we find ridiculous crap to undo.

Afternoon !!! Got a couple of hour break between training and second job !!!!!!

My training went well!! Phil harassed me non stop and kept partnering with me on the SCIP moves !! After we have all been instructed on how to successfuly stop someone who is H**** on hurting someone !! We got to take a written test !!!! Drum roll please !!! I got 100% !!!

I will chat in the wee hours after work !! Have a good rest of the day!!!

Hi all.
Where did the warm weather go? It is only in the 40's today after 70 yesterday. That does explain my massive migraine yesterday. I had an easy day today. My daughter called out of work because she has a stomach virus. I was actually excited because that meant I got a day off. Does that make me a bad mom? I managed to get all of my weekend housework done this morning so now I am free.
My granddaughter has been acting up a LOT lately so her punishment is she gets to spend today and tomorrow at my house where she will be spoiled. We are planting seeds for our gardens today and dinner is her choice. Tomorrow we are going to Lancaster with my parents which includes a smorgasborg breakfast. I think she needs the extra attention every now and then. She also did really well on her report card. She is the youngest in her class and her teacher was surprised that she is doing so well. She is on target for reading and writing and proficient in all of her other subjects.

My grandson had his first practice with his new baseball team and they were very happy with his abilities. He's already the starting catcher for the team and he will also be pitching. He likes the coach and my son was happy with the way things worked out. He also has none of the players from our team last year, that means problem mommy won't be there. I am going to concentrate on taking pics of his games instead and rooting for him instead of worrying about the whole team. I will still have my little onesw so that will keep me hopping.

Has anyone read Eat, Pray, Love? About the woman who had a terrible divorce and went to Italy and Indonesia to find spirituality. I had no idea what to expect when I started it, and even though it took a lot for her to get there, she finally seems very content and at peace. I think everyone could benefit from that.

Work was the pits this last 3 nights. I am feeling much better. I’ve been able to sleep which is a huge accomplishment in itself.

UPDATE:

JO gave the cat her freedom and she went right up the tree again. She will be getting x-rays on her foot. The dr. thinks it may be arthritis. She played some golf anyways. She lost (barely) but the team won. She is good at justifying a Cadbury fix.
Sorry that you lost your match. I’m glad the team won. I hope they find out what is wrong with your foot. That type of pain can’t be caused by too much Cadbury, can it???

V says lawyer friends are good to have. Her refi should be closing very soon.
Cool about the movers. Yay on your closing. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that those papers get signed quickly.

TAZ won’t have any baseball teams, just t-ball which is OK with her. Her granddaughter did well in school and her grandson is doing great in base ball. She is getting ready for her trip with her mom to WDW. It’s a little over a month away.

CE has been playing tennis against some good teams. She’s bummed because they didn’t win even though they did well. She was overwhelmed with the book sales stuff that had to be done by today. D wants to redo the bathroom.
As long as you are satisfied that you did well, that’s what counts. Keep at it and perhaps it will turn around for you. Sorry about the book stuff getting dumped on you. Isn’t that the way it goes though? Good luck with the bath renovation.

You know that you love to be busy! I am sorry about the loss of your friend. I’m sure she will be missed terribly. On the PP shot, I haven’t seen any from that point of view so I guess it is ‘new’. We were there at the beginning of Dec. I think it was around 2PM when one of the musical shows was happening at the castle. We were actually getting ready to leave the park from Tomorrowland. It was on the bridge that connects TL with the circle of the castle. Robert did an outstanding job for us. Funny thing is that nobody else was getting their photo snapped when we walked up. We waited about 5 minutes for the right time and still nobody came up to get their photo taken. I think we made Robert’s day!

ANGELA is having the parents over tomorrow. Plus she is meeting a friend for the last Braves game. She saw a hat she likes at Macy’s.

Z said the parks were crowded last weekend. She and Yani got season passes. She says the cupcakes at MK are wonderful.

I’m working on the man cave. I need to finish the primer on the ceiling. Then I need to primer the stairwell too. I just got done patching some holes and scuffs. We still need to get the glue off the floor. Doug had been working at it but it takes a while for the solvent to soften the glue up. The smell is horrendous. We open up a couple of the basement windows when he does it.

It was beautiful here today but a bit chilly. We took 2 of the dogs for a walk. It’s about a mile and a half from where we live to the end of the road and back. Doug walked the whole way with no pain or issues. That makes me happy as I would have to rent a ECV for him come October if he was not able to walk a great distance. He also said he moved his wrist yesterday morning. It took a lot of effort but that is terrific news. The therapist said he is improving slowly with his arm too. I so hope that he can get back to work by the end of May. Keep your fingers crossed.

Tomorrow is the date with friends at PF Changs in Indianapolis. It is supposed to be a nice day. I just love to get out when the weather gets good.

I’m getting hungry. We’re having hotdogs, mac and cheese and green beans. Simple but yummy.

He also said he moved his wrist yesterday morning. It took a lot of effort but that is terrific news. The therapist said he is improving slowly with his arm too. I so hope that he can get back to work by the end of May. Keep your fingers crossed.

Yep, it's strep. Jimmy is on Zithromax for the next five days. The doctor did say he was fine to go to scouts , which was good because he would have been so upset. He only has one black bead left to earn and he is so proud of himself!

Now he is winding down watching Diego's Great Dinosaur rescue before we head to bed. Tomorrow we have baseball signups and then a FIssil and Mineral Fair for Scouts.

Morning, Fockers....
We've been home a few days, but I've been running like a mad woman the whole time. I'm about to take off again to take B and a friend to a hip hop clinic and dance pics, then soccer pics for A and a game. Then I think I can sit still for a while.

K's in the yard already working. While we were gone everything greened-up, so he's mowing, weeding, spreading dirt and trimming trees. I'm glad we'll be able to lay new grass soon. The dogs trakcing dirt into my house is driving me nuts!

The trip was really, really wonderful. We really needed it. I can't write a TR because I honestly can't remmeber where we went each day. It was a wake up and decide trip. The rain changed our plans as did how much we got done at each park. we looked at things and rode rides that we had never done before and that was my goal: to slow down and enjoy our vacation home. BLT was more than I could have asked for. I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else.

I got a job this week teaching 2s turning 3s this fall. It's a mom's day out, so I'll only be gone 2x a week, but it'll be nice to earn some money and get out of my house. I also put up my pics on FB. Once I load B's pics, I'll add them to my album.

We went to Jess's spring concert last night and wow was it loud, they had traditional stiff like orchestra and choirs but also some rock hits, there are some very talented drummers at her school!

Oh and I'd like to thank Angela and Mitch for their hospitality as last night they drove me back to the airport from their house where I'd been staying for a few days, they even stopped at the shops so I could buy milk duds the things I dream huh


I've managed to do the first coat of paint on the spare bedroom walls and I'm off to do the second, so see you later

Hey all! Very busy day here today. We had Baseball sign ups (Which won't actually start until the week after Easter) and then we went to the Fossil and Mineral Show. It was really nice and inexpensive ay out. $5 for adults and uniformed scouts were free 4 of the 9 kids from Jimmy's den went so they all had a great time. Sigging for fossils in a big sand pit they had. They gave them all types of free samples do they could start their own collections. Jimmy is so excited becsue he got a pice of fossilized dinosaur egg. He now wants to start a whole collection. And for going and answering a few questions they earned their geology belt loops

Got home and we just vegged for a while, then we ordered pizza for dinner and watched some tv. I don't think Jimmy is feeling 100% smurfy yet, becasue he went to get his bath and went to bed without too much negotiation on how any stories we would read. He is zonked out now

Tomorrow is laundry and cleaning day. I want to get the dining room and living room done, wash the windows and put up the spring/summer curtains. I also want to put the scrren into the stom door, but it is still a bit too chilly. Also want to get the outside Easter decorations up.

Evening All !!! Good Day at work !!! We had an Easter Tea !!! Was a HUGE hit and was photographed for the Agency Newsletter ! I invited some Seniors from the house I worked at before becoming a supervisor and they loved it !! We had finger sandwiches , salami and cheese horsdoeuvres and cheese and olive ones too !!Crackers and tuna salad , choc coated oreos and of course trifle !! We used china tea cups and my awesome staff did a great job decorating the table !! I can't post pix of the people but will see if Phil will upload table pix for me !!I just LOVE seeing them enjoying activities like this !!
