Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Hi ya'll!!!
Thanks for the good thoughts. I'm still coughing quite a bit but everything else is better.

I got nothing...raining, work, boys at school. That's it. Hope you all have a wonderful day:goodvibes:hug:
Sounds like a quiet day. You need one every once in a while, ya know!

Morning Fockers !!! I worked a double last night and was too tired to Dis.
Steph has the charger cordnfor this somewhere and I can't find it so I prolly will DIE any minute.

Will chat tonight !!
Hi Rosie. I hope that you get some quiet days soon.

My toe is still killing but the Dr's phone was constantly engaged so I didn't get an appointment so I hobbled around today too. Thing is I have a golf match tomorrow and Wednesday so......... We bought a new outdoor dining set today, the old one was falling to bits, literally I sat on it last week and it broke, no comments please It's black and glass and best of all it was relatively cheap.
Please be careful while you are golfing. Sorry about the tween drama. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like dealing with them 7/24. :sad2:

D ended up deciding he didn't feel good at all, so we just came back here. Once they called that the car was done, he drove me to get it, then we both went to the gym. I stayed longer than he did, then went to the store.

Yeah, so... They didn't call until 11:15 or so, then by the time we got to the dealership, it still wasn't quite done. I was late to my drills, but oh well. Then, we had more court time to practice up for tomorrow's official match, but everyone had been there for a long time, so we wound up not playing for very long after. I went to the grocery store, and that's been my day.

D's going to take the boys to karate, and I bought stuff for 3 different, more unusual to us dinners (not my same old, same olds), so I have to pick one.
Nothing like waiting around all day for one call.

It's been days again that I even bothered to go online, the phone makes me lazy since i can check all emails and facebook from it.

Hi!

Been a nice relaxing weekend in NY. Beautiful weather. KC worked but sat after his shift we walked around the neighborhood, got some ice cream and got a platter of takeout for a new BBQ place down the block. It was a nice evening. We have been watching Breaking Bad all weekend too.

Yesterday we just chilled out at home, made a quick run to staples for a clip desk lamp since I had a coupon. I made some spinach/zucchini/white bean/ bacon lasagna, it came out really good. I also made a coconut cake in the crock, so that was dessert.

Been reading "Let The Right One In". I am dying to finish it and see what they did with the movie, very interesting book.

We leave on Thursday early morning (bus leaves at 845am) for Boston until Sunday late night. I am so excited just to get away!

KC's interview went great and his job is trying to match their offer, but it's doubtful, so hopefully they call him soon with some good news.

I asked the other day but dunno if anyone missed it: I have a square Hannah Montana Lamp and a Christmas stocking I want to give to someone who has kids who like her.....any takers???

Today is my catch up day with the internet and to start packing for our trip. Hope you all had a great weekend!!
Sorry I have nobody to take your stuff. I hope your weekend in Boston is fantastic.

This is the purse I got. You can see that because it's so cute, of course I needed it.

My sister is supposed to close on their house tomorrow morning at 9.00 and the current owner sold them she'd be out tomorrow by 6pm. My BIL is so mad at all the owners craziness, he's threatening to call the whole thing off if she's not out. She's known for a month the day she's moving, but she closes on her new house tomorrow as well and doesn't have anywhere else to go. A hotel?
That purse is very 'Eastery'. Very nice.
I don't know what the laws are in any other state but here in Indiana, the seller has so many days to move out after the closing. It states that on the contract. If they are not out by that date they pay the new owners a daily amount. I've bought 2 homes and neither was empty the day of closing. As the matter of fact, the people that owned the one that I am currently living in nearly had heart failure when they found out they would be paying me if they weren't out in 2 weeks.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

I did get the laundry done. I did cook a great meal for dinner. I didn't do much else. :guilty:

I guess I needed the sleep. Plus when I got up and started messing around with anything, I started feeling like poo again. I have to work for 3 nights starting tomorrow night so I decided to take it easy.

I watched 'Kirstie's Big Life' last night. She cracks me up. I hope this works out for her.

This Saturday Doug and I are going out to dinner with 3 of my friends. Doug loves it when he is the only guy. Everybody treats him so special. :rotfl2: Then he has to come back home with me! :rolleyes1 We are going to PF Changs in Indy. I made the ressies on-line a little while ago. This restaurant is near a nice mall so we'll probably go browsing for a little while too.

I'll check back in here on Friday, I think.
I hope everyone has a good week.

Here's a couple of nice Photopass shots. Robert was a great CM. He knew when to snap the shots and had us wait until the right moment.

The way it works with selling houses here is everyone moves on the same day, you have to have packed up your house and once the money is transferred you drop the keys at the estate agents and the new people can then pick them up. It all normally happens around 1pm but it has been known for monies not to got through till the next day, especially when the chain is long, so it can get complicated!!!

I'm at home today, I've cancelled my golf as my foot is still killing. I went to the Dr this morning and she is sending me for an X-ray but thinks I may have arthritis  I have a club match tomorrow though so will have to play then :rotfl2:

Oh we got the cat flap fitted yesterday so I thought I'd let Boo out, guess what she did? Straight up the *&^%$$£"*&^ tree :headache::headache: Well she's on her own, she can get back in so tough luck little girl!!!

Well Boo is out, she came right to the bottom branch so I could grab her from the top of the ladder, really good for my foot ;) but I have a big scratch on my hand now because although she wanted to come out she didn't IYKWIM :sad2: I've also tried to teach her how to use the flap :rotfl: But when she came back out she ran straight for the tree :headache: I shouted no, she thought about it and bum shuffled back down so fingers crossed she's learning. Who thought having a cat was easy :rotfl2:

That's how my closings have all gone, too. Only the last one fell apart - my movers showed up drunk and minus a guy. They took so long to get stuff out of the old house, they were nowhere near done by the time we were to close... and we couldn't close while I was still in there. :headache: Thank goodness for good friends with a Jeep and a trailer who loaded up the rest of my stuff and got it out of there. The movers had the nerve to fight me over the final cost, stating that because it took longer than expected I'd have to pay more! The good friend with the Jeep was a lawyer. The movers soon saw the error of their ways. ;)

Morning Fockers! Long time, no see, right?! Life's been busy. Work is a little more settled; we won't have any more information on job cuts for a few months, so we're just waiting and wondering... I got news that my refi is close to closing; my secondary lien-holder just needs to say "ok" and we'll be ready. Here's hoping!

Not much else going on. Thinking about hitting the Flower & Garden Fest this weekend with a friend and her DS. I took Leo to Dinosaur World last weekend - that was several hours of my life and $25 I'll never get back, lol! But he loved it. :confused3

Happy Tuesday all! :grouphug:

Morning all. I have been lurking the past couple of days. The weather was nice all weekend but now its gray and rainy, not a great mood maker.

My son and I didn't get a team to coach this year with baseball and I was a little mad about the reason. We had 2 kids ask not to have us this year which was fine. We knew the one kid wanted to go on the team with all of his friends and the other kid . . . let's just say we didn't want him back because of the mom. She thinks her little prince is the next King of Baseball. He isn't that great and she went off when he didn't make the all-star team again. It is probably better this way because my son works nights right now but my grandson will be on one of the better coaches teams and now I can take a ton of pics of him playing. I will still have the T-ball team though. Three of my grandkids will be on it. I am already practicing my quote, "Crying? There's no crying in baseball." The girls always break down in tears at least once a game. :rotfl2:

I am busy getting ready for my trip, 38 days away. My mom has some food issues because of a weird disorder - she has hemachromatosis and has to be careful about iron content in food. I have been checking all the QS menus to make sure we will find a variety of choices. She doesn't want to do any TS meals. :confused3

HAve a good day all.

::yes:: Sorry about not getting the other team - I'm sure that the reason would tick me off, too.
*****************************************************
I need to run - I've got to drop off the book fair "go home with the kids" packets for approval before we copy it all tomorrow, to hopefully get it out by Friday. Then I have an official tennis match at 12:30. I've showered and printed everything up, but I should go!

Have a good day!

happy tuesday everyone!

Im on the way to so cal and am currently sitting in the sacramento airport. My flight was cancelled so i have to wait an extra hour and a half. I had to leave at 7 this morning to catch public transportation and drop my car at the amtrak station. Only 2 more hours of waiting to go.

But i get to go to DL tomorrow! (the real mecca ;)):banana:

Hello all!

Not too much to say really, just packing for the Boston trip this weekend. I am charging up all the electronics and filling them with the proper movies/music/games.

I am excited to be getting away BUT I really fear this will not be fun for me. It's a gaming convention, and I like games but I dunno. I am going because KC wants me to, and I'm sure we will make fun but I'm going to be sure to bring good books with me for entertainment. The convention is in walking distance of the hotel we are staying at , so if I am really bored I can go there.

No word about KC's possible new job yet.

The rainy weather is killing me, making my ambition very low.

Anyways off to pack! Have a great day!

I'll check back in here on Friday, I think.
I hope everyone has a good week.

Have a good one:goodvibes

Here's a couple of nice Photopass shots.

Saw them before but they are awesome!:thumbsup2

Day from heck here. Crazy busy at work and other aggravating things that I can't go into detail about. Unfriended someone on FB, and it reminded me of why I HATED High School.;)

Just ate a quick sandwich, becasue after leaving here I have to go to Jimmy's school. Tonight is the Spring COncert and the Home and School has a table set up for all of our fundraisers. I am going to to work that.

Jimmy officially got his report card yesterday and he did awesome.

4= Advanced in Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading:woohoo:

3 = Proficient in Computers, Music and Gym (which I am surprised with becasue he HATES gym!):yay:

S =Satisfactory in all those non graded things like following directions, etc.

0 Days absent this trimester!:thumbsup2:dance3:

Boston is a very small big city - do you know where the hotel is? Anyway, much of the main sites are totally walkable from each other, unlike NYC or Chicago, and the T is generally useful. ;) Have fun! Even if I can't see you, I can try to give you some tips!

Lost the stinking tennis. :headache: I get frustrated because I can play so well in the drills/classes, etc. and just can't ever seem to get it together for a match. Though, today, I think the other team was just better. There are only 4 teams in our "flight." One has never lost. The team we played today has ONLY lost to the first place team, then there's us, who always lose to the first two, but always beat the last place team... So, they're just good. What can you do?

I did feel like we played OK, so I have to hang onto that.

Then, I feel like I'm totally overwhelmed in book fair details today. I spent the morning and afternoon after the tennis on that stuff. It's the piddly little stuff like volunteer scheduling, getting the stuff printed TO copy, etc.

And, just because this is how things go, I turned down the pleas to go as a chaperone on the kids' field trip tomorrow because we have to do this copying. My co-chair, who has a son in Woody's class, forgot that we were copying and agreed to go. :headache: She's going with her DD's 5th grade on Thursday, and we wanted to have the stuff out on Friday. :sad2:

Sometimes you just have to be happy that you've played well rather than whether you won or not because as you say sometimes the opposition are just better. I suppose that golf is better for that due to the handicap system  Sorry about the book stuff :hug::hug:

Jo Hope you get to the Docs for your foot soon !!

Kat a couple of years ago the girls would have loved the Hannah Montana lamp.. But they are TEENS now !!! 'Nuff said !!!:rotfl2:Now if it was New Moon stuff ..Oh yea !!!!

I have been working crazy hours and it wont stop till Easter !! I have to pass meds on Sundays in the morning at my second job !!! They have a staffing crisis !!!:scared1:Could it be that the Mnager has ZERO people skills :confused3:confused3
Also had very sad news the RN at the 2nd job who I got along with very well died of cancer a couple of days ago .The Wake is tomorrow !!! I am really sad about this as she was a CHARACTER!!!:sad2:

Nothing else really going on as I haven't had time for anything !!!:rotfl2:

Will chat tomorrow prolly late as I have to work and go to the Wake !!!

Mitch made it to Wisconsin and when I checked the weather, the lows were supposed to be in the 30's. Good thing he packed gloves. ;)

My parents are coming Saturday, so I need to clean the house sometime even though they are not staying with me. I have been putting it off for too long.

Our last Braves game is Saturday so I'm meeting a friend for lunch to give her the tickets. It's supposed to be a beautiful day for a baseball game. :goodvibes

Will Pm you over there;)

Another crazy day at work. If I can get through this week all will be ok, since I am only working Monday next week.

Spring Concert was really good last night, boy those kids work hard and it shows:thumbsup2

Was talking to Jimmy's music teacher last night and she told me that next year she makes all the 2nd graders try out for the Primary chorus (2nd and 3rd grade) I asked her if she realizes that Jimmy can't carry a tune in a bucket:lmao:

Jimmy has been dropped to every other week for OT, so that was cancelled today which is good, I can get things done here. Tonight is library but thats about it.

Hope everyone is having a lovely day:goodvibes

Hey guys!

Back from the World...well back since Sunday, but now is when I'm getting around to being online. The trip was great, but the parks were soooo crowded that we ended up not doing much but shopping and eating. OMG they have the best cupcakes at MK too. :thumbsup2

Yani & I decided to upgrade our passes from December to Seasonal Passes so there will be more Disney trips this year for us!!:banana:

Doing a sneak post from work. Not much going on, but just wanted to say Hi! ::::wave:::::

Our school has everyone do the concerts in first and second, then the chorus is for 3rd/4th. They still go to music every week, they just don't perform.

Jimmy has been dropped to every other week for OT, so that was cancelled today which is good, I can get things done here. Tonight is library but thats about it.

Sounds not bad! ;)

Woot, woot!!! :cool1:

**********************************************************
Well, it only took me about an hour and a half to do all the copying, which wasn't so bad. I'm not as ticked, now, either, because it was really going to be hard to do in tandem. Last fall, I copied all the sheets 400 or so times, but this time I copied everything for one classroom, then the next, etc., which was a ton easier on the copier and it'll be easier to staple and sort. I had no paper jams! :rotfl2:

Then, I talked to the secretary, and she said to not worry about sending things home until Monday, anyway, because weekend stuff gets overlooked. So, now, I have all the way until Monday to do the stapling, and my co-chair might be able to help do that on Friday. A classroom at a time isn't so bad, and so... :thumbsup2

Got the neighbor coming over for dinner/hanging out until his parents and brother get back from the high school orientation deal, but that's about it for us, too. No karate on Wed., and that's all I've got! :goodvibes
