Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Good morning all. Cold but sunny here today. Well cold relative to lat weekend. It's in the hig 40's as compared to the 70's. Guess I can't complain.

This is the start of the busy Easter week for us. I work tomorrow. Working at Jimmy's school on Tuesday, Wednesday is Jury duty, Thursday is Car inspection, OT and therapist for Jimmy, Friday last minute shopping for Easter, Saturday dying Eggs and getting everything else ready for Easter, and then Sunday is Easter dinner. I am also taking off the Tuesday after Easter for Jimmy's school awards assembly. I'm gonna need a vacation :faint:

Today is more SPring Cleaning. Dining Room , living room and the powder room. Changing curtains polishing the hardwood floors, etc.

And of course I feel like carp. Was thinking it was allergies but I am thinking that it is a simuns infection:sad2:

Hope you all have a woderful Sunday.:grouphug:

Hi all,

Did a quick skim, Hi all!

I'm at the dealer getting my car maintained. Ever notice how everytime the care gets to the dealer they always find something you should fix. Uh why didn't they tell me last time??

I'm planning a Birthday trip to WDW and my brother just got a PIN in the mail!!!:banana:

I want to stay at AKV regardless of not hearing good things about it. So checking out DVC points. If not I'll just use the pin for somewhere. I need to start doing some FDM.

Anyone have any recommendations for a dinner place? I'm thinking Jiko, but that's only if we stay at AKV. Do the dinner places do cupcake birthday thingies like the breakfast places?

TTFN! :tigger:

Does she play an instrument:confused3
Nope she was singing :thumbsup2

Jimmy is so excited becsue he got a pice of fossilized dinosaur egg. He now wants to start a whole collection. And for going and answering a few questions they earned their geology belt loops:thumbsup2
Sounds cool and could be quite a cheap hobby right?

Also want to get the outside Easter decorations up.
Easter decorations?????

Evening All !!! Good Day at work !!! :cool1:We had an Easter Tea !!! :)
Sounds lovely Rosie :goodvibes

Awesome, I liked staying at AKL but have heard that Kidani Village has looonnnnnng walks!

Beautiful day here, we spent the morning sowing seeds, the girls have planted veg and some flowers they made me get out my plastic greenhouse that I haven't used in about 6 years :rotfl2: I then demolished my old garden dining set, it's wooden and was totally falling to pieces so David can use it for fire wood and we set up the new set. D went to work so we did this whilst he was gone oh and our hour changed so we're back to 5 hours apart!!!

Then we went to an outlet shopping centre and I bought a pink Radley purse (wallet) I nearly got a bag too but it was one you actually have to hold so I didn't know if I'd use it :rotfl2:

Anyway, off to eat our roast chicken :wave2:

Hi ladies! I miss you all to bits and pieces!

The last time I was here, it was a different thread. I took a mommy trip to Orlando two weeks ago and it was a great trip, even without the mouse! I did get to visit dtd and had dinner at the poly, followed by wishes on the beach... And a few ladies joined me (mel and dawn). It was a hoot hanging out with them for a bit. I'm hoping to see them again, really soon!

How are you all? What have I missed?

Good Afternoon All!!

Our local mall had a new Vera Bradley store open today (I got a free notepad, and picked up the Purple Punch Turnlock Wallet I'm getting for Easter), as well as a new Nordstroms (picked up some stuff there as well). Easter baskets for everyone are done, egg stuff is ready!
Sounds like the Easter Bunny is going to be good to you. You got everything for the party done quickly!

Yep, it's strep. Jimmy is on Zithromax for the next five days. The doctor did say he was fine to go to scouts , which was good because he would have been so upset. He only has one black bead left to earn and he is so proud of himself!

Now he is winding down watching Diego's Great Dinosaur rescue before we head to bed. Tomorrow we have baseball signups and then a FIssil and Mineral Fair for Scouts.

Hope you all have a good night!
Sorry to hear about Jimmy!

Thank you all for congrats on my 100% !!! The test isn't really hard but there are so many things that are similar and most people mess up on at least one !! This time I didn't !!! AND I beat PHIL!!!!!!!!
:woohoo:

I was up in the night for a few hours and then the cats wanted to eat too early this morning. We have a baseball game so no going back to bed for me. Although I was up early enough to see Joan Rivers on QVC. So love her things, but no Kristel, I didn't order!

Anyone see my Vols lat night? Great game! I wasn't really expecting them to win and the ladies play today. I am expecting them to win!
:thumbsup2 on shopping. They must have had that game on at PF Changs. Lots of people were getting excited.

Morning, Fockers....
We've been home a few days, but I've been running like a mad woman the whole time. I'm about to take off again to take B and a friend to a hip hop clinic and dance pics, then soccer pics for A and a game. Then I think I can sit still for a while.

K's in the yard already working. While we were gone everything greened-up, so he's mowing, weeding, spreading dirt and trimming trees. I'm glad we'll be able to lay new grass soon. The dogs trakcing dirt into my house is driving me nuts! :headache:

The trip was really, really wonderful. We really needed it. I can't write a TR because I honestly can't remmeber where we went each day. It was a wake up and decide trip. The rain changed our plans as did how much we got done at each park. we looked at things and rode rides that we had never done before and that was my goal: to slow down and enjoy our vacation home. :cloud9: BLT was more than I could have asked for. I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else. :lovestruc

I got a job this week teaching 2s turning 3s this fall. It's a mom's day out, so I'll only be gone 2x a week, but it'll be nice to earn some money and get out of my house. :cutie: I also put up my pics on FB. Once I load B's pics, I'll add them to my album.

Have a lovely Saturday and I'll be back soon, I hope.
I'm glad you had a wonderful time! Congrats on the new job!

Hey all! Very busy day here today. We had Baseball sign ups (Which won't actually start until the week after Easter) and then we went to the Fossil and Mineral Show. It was really nice and inexpensive ay out. $5 for adults and uniformed scouts were free:thumbsup2 4 of the 9 kids from Jimmy's den went so they all had a great time. Sigging for fossils in a big sand pit they had. They gave them all types of free samples do they could start their own collections. Jimmy is so excited becsue he got a pice of fossilized dinosaur egg. He now wants to start a whole collection. And for going and answering a few questions they earned their geology belt loops.

Got home and we just vegged for a while, then we ordered pizza for dinner and watched some tv. I don't think Jimmy is feeling 100% smurfy yet, becasue he went to get his bath and went to bed without too much negotiation on how any stories we would read. He is zonked out now.

Tomorrow is laundry and cleaning day. I want to get the dining room and living room done, wash the windows and put up the spring/summer curtains. I also want to put the scrren into the stom door, but it is still a bit too chilly. Also want to get the outside Easter decorations up.

Hope you all have a good rest of the weekeend!
It sounds like you had a blast!!!

Evening All !!! Good Day at work !!! We had an Easter Tea !!! Was a HUGE hit and was photographed for the Agency Newsletter ! I invited some Seniors from the house I worked at before becoming a supervisor and they loved it !! We had finger sandwiches , salami and cheese horsdoeuvres and cheese and olive ones too !!Crackers and tuna salad , choc coated oreos and of course trifle !! We used china tea cups and my awesome staff did a great job decorating the table !! I can't post pix of the people but will see if Phil will upload table pix for me !!I just LOVE seeing them enjoying activities like this !!
I'm glad everyone had a great time. The snacks sound yummy!

I think the dealers treat women differently too. They are always amazed when I take them a list of things to check instead of the other way around. I'm getting to where I can do things on my own with Doug's help. Some of it is so easy, I can't believe they charge us for it.
Planning your birthday sounds exciting!!! I hope you find a good deal! I suppose most places would do a cupcake for you. This is what Doug and I got at Boma when we ate there for our anniversary:
WDW2008096-1.jpg

I didn't even request it. It was awesome.

******************************************************************
I am currently painting the stairwell to the basement. I think I have more paint on me than the walls. I had to stop and let the one side dry before I do the other side. I kept bumping the wall and getting the primer on me. Yep, I'm a real pro.

Doug and I didn't get home until after 11PM. We had a great time in Indianapolis with my friends. One small hitch - Doug had a localized seizure in his right side while we were waiting for our ressie time at the bar. I just grabbed him and drug him to an area back by the bathrooms that had a couple of chairs. It only lasted about 2 minutes but, of course, our table became available while this was happening. :rolleyes1 Every thing was great after that.

My ex-supervisor, who is a terrific guy and all of us know him, has a son that is a manager at PF Chang's. We asked to see him. He didn't know us. We acted like there was a serious issue and told him it was with one particular person - his dad. It was so funny!!! I think he nearly collapsed when we all started laughing. He gave us all 10% off of our meals. That was so nice!

We did some retail therapy mostly at Macy's. They are having a huge sale plus one on my friends used her Macy's card with some coupons to get us some more discounts. :woohoo: It's good to have friends!!!

Alright, I need to go switch around some laundry and then finish painting. I have to get some hoovering and dusting done too. It's back to work for 3 nights tomorrow!!

Have a good night and good week!!

Hi, everyone!

I've been reading along, but can't find the will to quote. Sounds like the weekend is going pretty well for everyone, so that's good.

I don't even remember when I posted last. D called me from GA on Friday to say he'd arranged for a dumpster to come. We can have it for 2 weeks, so not only was the thought to dump the old bathroom stuff, but also try to get to the crap in the basement that's been in boxes since we moved in - that was Dec. 2001.

Anyway, the bathroom is completely gutted except that he's not got the tub out yet. All the drywall is down, the vanity's out, etc. So far, the floor looks saveable. The toilet is even still installed (thought he'd have to take it out to get the drywall behind it, but no - so we're still operating with two bathrooms, which is nice.

Yesterday, I ditched/consolidated some stuff in the basement, but I knew the majority of the stuff down there was left from the last cleanup, roughly 2 years ago, was left because it was all his junk that I can't make decisions about.

So, today he asked why I wasn't down there more, and I said I needed him for the rest. He gave me the go-ahead to lose all the old college texts and airplane manuals, so I am done! I saved his memorabilia, but got rid of probably 7 boxes of crap.

I am sneezy and itchy, but I'm done. My neighbor also clued me into a solution for the usable books. I guess at the Wendy's here in town, there's a Savlation Army type of bin, but it's for books. They donate to shelters, etc., and if they determine that there's no use for the books, they do recycle the ones they don't hand out. :thumbsup2 Perfect. So, I have a large bin for that, and I have some stuff that I'll probably try to sell, but for the most part, what's left is fine to stay. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

D's going to be gone from tomorrow through Wed., but hopefully then he can get right into the rebuilding on Thursday. Wish me luck. :rotfl2:

Oh, and in between my work in the basement, I got my stapling all done! I'm so excited!

Hope everyone continues to have a nice day/evening. It's not very warm, but the kids have been outside nearly all day, minus the time that they helped with the demolition. ;) They did do their homework, too, so it should be an easy night.

::yes:: Jimmy got cupcakes at Boma and at 50's PT!

Easter decorations?????

Just a few little knick knacks!

Livingroom and diningrooms done, curtains hung, Easter knickknacks out. Still have 5 loads of luandry to do:sad2:

Should be a fairly quiet evening. Sausage and Pierogies for dinner, easy peasy and then vegging until bedtime. My sinuses are kicking my butt:headache:

Have a good one all!:goodvibes

I think so too. I have a cousin who's a mechanic so I try to go to him for things that I figure aren't supposed to cost that much. I take my care because I have a tires for life thing on my car and have to take it to the dealer for it's scheduled maintenance stuff, but I think this is the last time I'm going to do it. It's just not worth it, they don't even change my spark plugs. :sad2:

When you make the ADR tell them you are celebrating a birthday and then remind them when you check in:thumbsup2 Haven't even attempted to look at V & A,since Jimmy can't go anyway.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Good morning all. It's raining and its not gonna stop until sometime tomorrow. BUT, I'm not going to complain becasue if it was colder this would be 20 - 25 inches of snow, so it can rain all it wants ::yes::

Had to get up a bit early this morning because I forgot to hard boil an egg for Jimmy to take to school to decorate today. I hard boiled 6, he ate one:lmao: and I sent the other 5 in with him incase of cracks and in case any of the other kids forgot theirs:thumbsup2.

Sinuses are kicking my butt, and the tylenol sinus stuff that I usually use isn't doing it for me. If I am still like this tomorrow I am going to call and see if I can get into see the doctor.:sad2:

Other than that not much happening here today. Work, but it is my only day this week so tha's adefinite plus.

Hope you all have a good day and hopefully I can check back later:grouphug:

I keep telling myself that this rain could be snow too. At least they are calling for a really nice Easter weekend and the rain gets me out of going to my grandsons baseball practice.

I wonder if my granddaughter needed an egg for school she never said anything and my daughter doesn't always remember to look in her bag on friday. That was nice of you to send in a couple of extras.

I hate allergy season, now until October. My one eye has been tearing constantly so I may be heading to the dr myself tomorrow.

++++++++++++++

I have had a productive day despite the rain. My mom came to my daughter's house and we went through 8 of the boxes that were in the garage from when she moved. They were ALL CLOTHES and there are more down there. We sorted out 4 boxes of things that the kids have outgrown. One box is things she won't want to get rid of for sentimental reasons, one box is clothes for the baby to grow into and one for mikey to grow into. The remaining clothes will fit them now. My daughter works 6 days a week and just doesn't haev time.

I am taking advantage of the Spring break to get Mikey potty trained finally. He will be 4 in 25 days it needs to be done. So far we have only had accident and that was in the bathroom where he tried to go himself. :thumbsup2

I have meetings at church 3 days this week. We had to shut my church and merge with another because of a dwindling parish. The new church members treat us like we are aliens that have invaded their territory. I was put in charge of an Easter Egg hunt after church sunday. All of a sudden "they" are doing it. I don't really mind because to some extent there was a lack of communication but what they are doing is weird. They bought enough eggs for each child to have 3. They are stuffing them with jelly beans only. And the best part is that only the very little ones are allowed to participate. The older kids, 8 and up don't believe in the Easter Bunny according to them so the kids should not be allowed to participate if they don't believe. I managed to change that part. My grandson may not believe in the bunny but he believes in candy. :rotfl2: I am also buying some gummy bears and safety pops for the real little ones but really, just jelly beans? Each child will be allowed outside to "hunt" but the second they have three eggs they must come back inside. Last year at my old church we had 300+ eggs for about 15 kids. It was a free for all and the kids had a fantastic time. My dad is one of the people in charge so things will change but I may go crazy before they do.

I will be in my happy place in 32 days. That is my new mantra. :lmao:

Oh well my daughter is done work soon :woohoo: so I have to get the kids ready to pick her up. I am buying a new DVD player and the Snow White movie so I wil be happy tonight until the Big Bang Theory comes on.

Have a good day all.

Wow it's quiet around here!!!! I've been spending quite a bit of time entering comps, I should see loads of prizes rolling in soon :rotfl2:

Today D painted our bedroom ceiling then we went to the mall where we bought 1 CD :sad2: then it was the supermarket and home to chill. It has rained most of the day and Boo has not been happy :rotfl2:

Tomorrow I have a golf match so hopefully the rain will disappear :thumbsup2

My family's here and it's been better than last time although I need to learn to let them not bug me so much. It's just stupid things that they do so I don't know why I care.

My sister is having the moving van come Saturday although they are no where near packed, so we'll see what will happen. Reid is excited about his new blue room. Yes, he picked his room because it was painted blue. It will be repainted but still blue. :rotfl:

Truly, right now, with the toilet working, I don't even care. I assume he's going to have to take it out to put in the new drywall, but it's not so bad if it's just a day or so.

If you're anything like me, part of it is knowing that you're GOING to get irritated, so the little things immediately bug you more - there's not a lot of build up. I feel that way with both MIL's.

Good morning all. I did my duty and went to school to sell the Phillies tickets and the bowling tickets. Came home, have a load of laundry in the washer and one in the dryer. Will head back to school later today for the 1st grade "Spring" party (can't call it an Easter Party even theough they will be coloring eggs, making baskets, and having a visit from a 6 foot bunny:rolleyes:).

The eye doctor just called and both mine and Jimmy's glasss are in so that is something else we need to add to our list of things to do this week. Yeah, that list wasn't long enough:sad2:

What is everyone else up toopopcorn::

Good Morning! :goodvibes

I have been reading along, but just haven't had the time to quote, really. :sad2:

Cookie sales are FINALLY over! My girls sold over $9,000 worth of cookies! Thanks everyone for helping out!

The kids have minimum day all week and then a super minimum day on Friday. They literally go to school, have recess, have an assembly and then they go home. Why bother? Ugh.

Not much else going on here.... same old routine.

OMG, last night I busted the kids playing with Evan's inhaler meds! :faint: Evan pumped 1 pump into Maddies mouth and 2 pumps into his mouth. I immediately broke out in hives! I was so furious with them, scared and angry. I yelled so loud they both got really scared. I felt so bad afterward, but what they were playing with was serious stuff. :headache: These kids are going to be the death of me.

And then I wanted to kill TE for leaving the meds in their reach. I always have it in my backpack, but when we left for WDW in January, I put it in her closet. Well, apparently she put it in the linen closet right next to the kids bath stuff. Smooth move, mom. Ugh. :sad2:

I'm off to clean house...the kid's rooms need straightening and then I have to hoover upstairs. BBL, I hope!

Hey, Jo - a new little neighborhood grocery store opened here and they have a British section. I found those gravy granules you were talking about and a bunch of weird stuff I have no idea what it is. They have some kind of pickled stuff and vegimite (sp?) oh and cream in a can? WTH is salad cream, anyway? :lmao:

Cookie sales are FINALLY over! My girls sold over $9,000 worth of cookies! Thanks everyone for helping out!

Fantastic, now does your troop get a portion of that or does it all go to the national council, or whatever?

The kids have minimum day all week and then a super minimum day on Friday. They literally go to school, have recess, have an assembly and then they go home. Why bother? Ugh.

Those kinds of days drive me crazy. Why not just have a full day on Wednesday and give them Thursday and Friday off:confused3

Ack! Glad they are ok?

I don't think I want to know :scared:

I'll answer for Jo as I am sure she mentioned it !!! It is a salad dressing creamy white in color a thin mayo consistency and the flavor is something like miracle whip /sandwich spread !!! It is usually the salad dressinfg of choice in England!!!

Had time to do some running around this morning but not all so still have a lot to do!!! Have to be at work in half an hour so just a quick post !!!

Everyone have a GOOD Day!!:grouphug:

My 2 aged 11 and 13 would not be happy if they weren't allowed to participate but I would tell them not to hog them all :rotfl2:
It has rained most of the day and Boo has not been happy :rotfl2:
Tomorrow I have a golf match so hopefully the rain will disappear :thumbsup2

I did put my foot down on the participation thing. If a child doesn't want to take part that is fine but I am not telling the "older" kids that they aren't allowed.
Last year we didn't really care how many eggs they found as we had over 300 eggs for 10 kids. I always over plan the amount. Our kids are very good though they will make sure that everybody has a fair amount without being asked.
I know what you mean about Boo. My cats are driving me crazy today because they hate the rain.
Hope you have a nice day for golf.

Which church?

I went to Resurrection Episcopal church in Mayfair. We merged with Emmanuel Church in Holmesburg so we are now Emmanuel-Resurrection Holmesburg Episcopal church. It was a homecoming in a way as my old church started as a mission of my new church.

+++++++++++++

Can I scream I HATE RAIN. If it isn't 2 feet of snow it's 3 inches of rain. I want the sun.

I had an early start today. My grandkids saw the dentist for the first time now that my daughter has insurance. Mikey has no cavities and did really well. :thumbsup2 They had him in the quiet room because of his sensory issues. Crystal didn't do as well. My daughter's in-laws believe in bottles to put the babies to sleep, chocolate milk bottles  and since she lived with them she followed their advice. Crystal needs surgery to take care of her cavities. She has 8 cavities and one tooth needs to be pulled. They do the work surgically so it is done all at once and she won't remember it. This way she doesn't develop a real fear. I am a little upset because my SIL's parents are such idiots. They also did this to their grandson who is Crystal's age. He had to have silver caps put on 5 teeth. Thankfully these are all baby teeth.

I bought 2 really nice hanging plants yesterday for $5 each. The spider plant has babies all over the place. I wanted to get better hangars for them and they don't sell the nice macrame types any more. I will have to make something because the plastic hooks are not going to last.

Oh well I am off to babysit the kids now. I am really hoping their father gets home early as I have 3 chapters to read, an exam next week and my paper due the following week. But then I am off to Disney. :woohoo: I got more Mickey mail yesterday so I have my luggage tags, ME tags, and all the wonderful little extras that come with it. Now I'm waiting for a photopass CD early offer.

Have a good day all.
