Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Just a quick update. Mom is not doing well at all. She is currently receivng hospice and it could be anywhere from 2 days, 2 months, 2 years. I wish (a bit selfishly I guess) that it goes quickly. I don't want her to suffer.

I may not be around much, but then again I may becasue like TE said, you need that mental health break.

Will keep you all posted. Thanks for the hugs and good thoughts. YOu guys are the best:hug:

TE - :hug: for you and nana.

sigh---another tough day at the hospital. She had a MRI this afternoon and we should get the results this evening. She is totally unresponsive and the doctor says that is probably permanent. Only positive things is that she had a living will that clearly states her wishes--so we will honor them and go to hospice care. That made the family meeting go easier.

I'm taking the girls to see her later this evening--just needed a mental break for now.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: to both of you.

:sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

Janet and TE, just want to say that I'm thinking of you both today and sending many, many virtual hugs to you and your families. I'm so sorry. :hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Yay and I'm sure you'll be ready in time. Why did your surgery need moving?

It's only been moved a couple of days. My girls can work out the babysitter issue if I am closer to a weekend. Instead of Tuesday it will be Thursday. Of course I may still need a monday and tuesday off so I don't see the difference. :confused3

Our weekend was fun although we did get lots of rain. Luckily lots of the stuff was indoors. We went ten-pin bowling, played badminton and Table Tennis twice and spent quite a bit of time in the pool. The slides etc were fun and they even had a big family raft ride type one but after being spoilt with Team Boat Springs at BB it was pretty rubbish :rotfl: I also managed to read a whole book which was pretty good :thumbsup2 We did have a bit of a problem with Jess, she got incredibly grumpy on the Sunday and wouldn't join in anything so then I flipped and got grumpy too :rotfl:

Then yesterday was the final of my County/State knock out, there were loads (OK about 20) people walking round and I played the biggest rubbish ever, honestly I could drive and putt but just couldn't hit an iron to save my life. We lost and I don't care that we lost but I'm so upset because I feel very humiliated, I know I came second out of 65 pairs but it's the fact that I made a fool of myself :sad1: I know people probably don't even care but........... :rotfl:

Sounds like a great weekend. I'm sure you're being way too hard on yourself. Second out of 65 sounds pretty good.

+++++++++++++++

Morning everyone.

Another wet and dreary day here. I never got to the Disney store but I did buy a new camera. I wanted something small to keep in the car or my backpack.

I had an interesting night. My dog, a doggy door and woods do not equal pleasant things sometimes. Jim was out of town and the dog brought me a present. Thankfully she did take it back out but I did not have a fun night and she was banished to the basement.

Not much else here. Hope everyone has a good day.

I was skimming through , didn't plan to post.....

But I wanna send a million :hug::hug::hug::hug::hug: and thoughts to TE & Janet!
:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

My BFF & Fam arrive tonight so I'll be back next week sometime, after they leave. Hopefully I can check in and see whats going on here and there. Have a great week everyone.

Nana passed away at 11:15 am today. Very peacefully--both her children were present. Really hard day. Looks like the funeral will be Sat.

Janet--so sorry to hear about how sick your mom is---I didn't realize that. Keep us updated.

Hi everyone

As I said above I do skim now and again but never seem to have time to post a reply. Hope all is well with everyone and back to school went smoothly.

DS5 started Kinder and he LOVES it. We only have 1/2 day kinder in our town. DS8 is in 3rd. He of course loves it too. They are finally in the same school!!:worship:

Me---I just run around like a chicken without its head.:lmao:..I volunteer alot at their school.
DS8 is still playing hockey. OMG it is a HUGE commitment. Thankfully he is a good student so not a problem. These games are GOOD. I have no interest in hockey but seem to find myself yelling and screaming and banging on the glass like a lunatic:rotfl:. There is nothing better than to see my baby score a goal and watch him raise his stick in the air and them his teammates giving him the high 5!! Last game he scored ALL 4 GOALS. Can you tell Im a little bit proud of him:cool1::rotfl2:
Back to disney in Nov!!!4th time this year!!:woohoo::woohoo:
Hope to be "around" a bit more

So sorry !!:hug::hug:We had hospice for my DMIL. They will make her and you as comfortable as possible !!I was amazed how accurate there final days description were !!It really gave you the time to say what you neede/wanted before the end . When she passed it was truly a blessing to know she dies in her own apartment surrounded by her family!!:cloud9::hug:

Oh, Tracy... I'm so sorry for your loss. :sad1: You're so lucky to have had such a wonderful nana. I didn't have any grandparents on either side and K's only gpa died before A turned one.
