I have been dizzy for almost a week. That sounds starnge but I actually have fallen several times and feel extremely tired all the time.
Hi Amy  As CE said have you seen a Dr? That doesn't sound good, are you drinking enough etc???

Jo,what exactly are "football boots"?
:rotfl2: Sorry our football is what you call soccer, so soccer boots :thumbsup2

Anyone get depressed when they don't have a trip planned?
::yes:: I still love reading all about everyone elses trips though!

So, thanks once again for being here for me to talk to and bounce things off and vent. All y'all are the greatest. :grouphug:
we are aren't we :rotfl2: So that sounds promising then CE and a year is nothing and as you said you can finish the house and really research stuff :goodvibes

Jess came home from school today in a right state, apparently she has a break time (15 mins) detention tomorrow  Now for those of you that haven't met Jess she is such a well behaved good girl so this has just devastated her! Her and another friend were mucking around with a boy called Alex, who used to go to their primary school so they've all know each other since they were about 4, at lunchtime in the classroom. Well the boy got into a cupboard and the girls closed the door (not locked) for a joke, he started to get out (they were letting him) when another boy came in and slammed the door shut whilst Alex's fingers were in it and he had to go to ER  So the teacher has just given them all detention, poor Jess has cried most of the evening and I said that after tomorrow it will be fine just keep apologising as really she was just silly not naughty, at least she will think twice now about doing anything worse!!!

I read this and all I could think is BE THANKFUL she cares.:goodvibes Tyler would feel bad about the boy being hurt but the punishment wouldn't bother him at all.:sad2: The only thing that bothers him is losing the cellphone or computer.. She sounds like such a sweetie..

We just need to do some organizing and also probably redo the downstairs bath. D did our upstairs one himself a couple of years ago, but I think we'd hire this out. It needs a new vanity and a new ceiling. And, if we end up staying put, it will be nicer for us. :thumbsup2

Jo, Sorry about Jess, She was probably scared about the boy huh? I hope shes O.K,

With all this other carp, I haven't told you about our weekend!

My friend Deb, who was over last weekend for the sleepover and is going back to work on 2/5 as a Northwest pilot, called Tuesday and said she'd found a resort up in the Lakes region of NH near some skiing that had 2 bedroom suites for $99/night for this weekend. The resort has two huge indoor pools, one with a slide.

So, we're skipping t-ball tomorrow evening and going up with them (each of us getting a 2 bedroom suite) and swimming. Saturday, we'll all ski, probably for a half-day - except for Deb's youngest DD who is 3. Then, Deb & I will take the kids back to the resort for swimming (she is less interested in skiing than even I am, and this will let D & her DH John get some "real" skiing in without the 5 and 6 year olds.)

Sunday, D & John will ski again whilst Deb & the kids and I chill at the hotel. :thumbsup2

So, it should be fun, but I won't be around past tomorrow morning.

DM- So sorry to ehar its been a rough week, we all have them! We are all here!!

CE_ Looks like thigns are going just as theya re supposed to! Good luck with everything!

My little guy has had an up and down battle the past few months. In and out of the hospital and ER. Just lots going on. He hasn't been healthy in a while. But, hopefully, things will begin to look up. Just a challenging time. BUT....the good news is we're planning another trip. Just he and I. Still for Christmas, but I'm not sure meeska will be joining us. SO...back to the DIS I come, to talk all things Disney again!

Awww sorry to hear it! A Disney trip is the best therapy-IMO!

Jess came home from school today in a right state, apparently she has a break time (15 mins) detention tomorrow  Now for those of you that haven't met Jess she is such a well behaved good girl so this has just devastated her! Awww poor jess!

Today is KCs work from home day so i'm on the carpy laptop. Andy couldn't make it today to take me anywhere but in the house while KC works so i'm stuck here. Oh well. We have the 1st season of Nip/Tuck to finish watching and I have to finish cramming everything into the suitcase! We shipped my food box this morning and it was only 12 bucks and it arrives the day we do which is perfect! I';m getting super excited now but I still have to make it through the weekend. We are spending the weekend cleaning the house (yea i'm one of those people who cant leave a speck of dirt when i leave for vacation) and getting pedicures together (I talked him into it). I'll prob be back on later on! Have a good one all!

DM - sorryt hings have been rough for you lately.

The lady who was dizzy (I lost my multi-quote, and am bad with names) - sounds like you might have an inner ear infection. I recommend getting to a DR.

Congrats, Mel.

And, am I the only one who understands Jo? ;) I had two british soccer coaches in college, a Brit and a Scot. They would get talking , and I would translate for the rest of the team. :lmao:

ps - GO Liverpool!

The boys have skied a few times. Woody's got D's natural athletic ability, poor Buzz is my kid through and through. :rotfl2: They have fun, though. I think Buzz will be fine with a half day - I wouldn't be surprised if Woody doesn't want more, but we'll see. Deb & I are really trying to NOT have to ski much ourselves and also to give the DHs quality time. ;)

CE_ Looks like thigns are going just as theya re supposed to! Good luck with everything!

Thanks, Kat. :goodvibes

Sounds like fun. I havent tried skiing with Happy as I think Bashful is way to young for that. We will stick to ice hockey for now(not that Bashful does that but at least in indoors)

I read this and all I could think is BE THANKFUL she cares.:goodvibes Tyler would feel bad about the boy being hurt but the punishment wouldn't bother him at all.:sad2: The only thing that bothers him is losing the cellphone or computer.. She sounds like such a sweetie..
She is Amy and as you say it's good that she cares!

Oh, poor Jess. Give her a hug from me.
I will, thanks CE

Hi everyone,
These boards are driving me crazy:headache: ...THey are soooo slow. I dont think its just me as all other sites are super quick.
Yep sooooo slow for me too, I thought all the new improvements would make them quicker

JO- Oh poor Jess:hug: ,hope she is ok. It is so hard for them to understand when they are such good kids especially when they didnt mean harm it was just a silly thing. I hope the other boy got detention too. Does the teacher know HE was the one who slammed the door??
Yep he's been given a weeks worth and apparently he's already had 15 detentions, so much for the nice kids going to the Church school :headache:

Jo, Sorry about Jess, She was probably scared about the boy huh? I hope shes O.K,
We used to live 4 doors away from the injured boy so they know each other pretty well, I also know his mum very well  :rotfl2:

With all this other carp, I haven't told you about our weekend.
CE that sounds amazing, have a great time :goodvibes

We leave sat morn bright and early:)

Yeah, as I said the DD3 of my friend is going to be in the daycare. And Buzz will be done with a half day, I'm fairly confident. And I'm barely good enough to help them. We're going to get the 3 kids (my two and her DD6) into an hour-long lesson, then my hope is that the DHs who are GOOD skiers will take them around for a few more hours, whilst Deb & I do what we can. Then, when we take the kids away, the DHs can head for the summit. ;)

Really? What colour is he having ;) :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

Hmmm...maybe my title should be "Self-appointed official TFW English to english translator". ;)

There you go! I keep thinking that Theresa is the one who deserves my title. :3dglasses

Hi everyone.I haven't dissed in a week:scared1: and feel a bit lost again.I did glance at the last few pages.I have been dizzy for almost a week. That sounds starnge but I actually have fallen several times and feel extremely tired all the time.

Hope you feel better soon. Let us know what happens after the Dr. appt.

.Last night Rachel asked if we could go for her bday(March) and burst into tears when I told her no.

Poor thing:hug:

Move update:
OK. D just called from the gym, as he'd gotten off the phone with M again. He was very talkative and in the mood for sharing, which was good. ;)

He's going to definitely go down and see M whilst he's in Vero Beach next weekend - probably even staying over Sunday night to watch the Super Bowl. He'll take a resume down, but he told M not to "hold" the job for him. He said he felt too on the fence to be interviewing now. He told M that he couldn't think of anyone he'd rather work for, and if the job was in the Midwest we'd be packing.

M was totally understanding and did say that his company does hope to get another plane ordered in the next few months. They build these planes on order, though, so it would probably be about a year before they actually had it in their possession. At that point, they will be hiring again, and M definitely wants D to think about that time frame.

In the meantime, D will have seen the area, and he mentioned us going over that way "when we're down there" (side YIPPEE as he must be planning on August!) so that I could see it, too. :thumbsup2

D can also see if things get better at his current job, or stay the same or get worse. He mentioned one of the current people in particular - if he were to be promoted to M's old job (they haven't filled it in 9 months, and D is most senior but doesn't know that he would want it as he's stressed enough as it is) D would start getting ready to go, as he really dislikes this guy and would see it as an indication of the bosses not getting what's going on with most of the rest of the pilots.

Also in the meantime we're going to make a good concerted effort to finish up the projects on the house and get it in a better sale condition.

Although I was kind of inexplicably ready to go, this makes sense to me too. It's not a "never", it's taking steps to move on if necessary, but more slowly. And I'm very happy to know what D's thinking, and to not stress about it any more right now.

So, thanks once again for being here for me to talk to and bounce things off and vent. All y'all are the greatest. :grouphug:

Sounds like things are starting to fall into place, even if it means staying in NH:hug:
