Hi all! I just got back from Myrtle Beach. Great time! Met my family there. We did the Jo!
We left DS6 in South Carolina. His first trip away from us. He is having fun and when I called today, he said he didn't want to talk to me.
Hey! Glad you had a good time! Where did u stay? Or is your family right there? I need a good place to stay there. We liked the Hilton just to the north, but are out of points now! DH was wondering about North Myrtle or even further north. Suggestions??
I'm sure your baby will have a good time. Is he with grandparents??

Well, team, we survived a pool party with 45 teenagers!
Yes! My first boy-girl party...
But it went well, and she had a good time. She is still asleep now with 2 of her buddies that came home with us.
Oh, and she made the JV cheerleading squad.:cheer2:
I was so nervous for her yesterday with that news and the party--felt like high school all over again!

No not much interest she loves her dancing (was in our towns Panto this year 200 girls auditioned for 80 spots!) and trampolining (she had her first competition on Sunday against 12 others and won :cool1: ) but she's very young and she will play one day, well she can hit it well already, as we're all going on golfing holidays so she'll have to :rotfl2: Keep at the golf and you'll improve really quick :thumbsup2

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I sure need it. Thats great about your DD and her dance, she must be very good!!:goodvibes
So there is competetitive trampolining in the UK? I dont think we have that here in the US.SOunds like lots of fun though. its great she good at more than one thing, she is a lucky girl:)

You are so brave to have a party with 45 teenagers! Congrats on :cheer2:

We did the Jo and stayed in a campground. My parents are both originally from Myrtle Beach so they go often. My sister owns a condo there and her boys live there. My dad has a macdaddy camper and it is nowhere near roughing it. DH would rather stay in a hotel. DS loves the campground because he gets more freedom with riding his bike around and playing outside all day. If you want a quiet stay, there is a nice Days Inn in Surfside Beach - very quiet. It is next to the pier and we love to eat at a restaurant right there at the pier. North Myrtle is nice, too. More things to do on that end. We stayed at an Embassy Suites there once that was very nice. If you stay in North Myrtle, you must go to Calabash and eat at a small place called Ellas. It's a mom and pop place with the best seafood.

I'll have to post up a picture of the golf related present I got my wife this past weekend..it may even make you and your golf playing DD jealous!
Oooh what did you get her? Does she play too? Well obviously not at the moment I doubt she could see the ball :rotfl2: Any signs of the baby?

Hey Mr. DB - I just noticed your tag! Congrats and in MY favourite colour. (Look Jo, I had 2 words with a "u" in them)
:thumbsup2 You're learning fast little grasshopper :rotfl2:

Thanks--I will add this to my MB tip spot. The Embassy Suites is next door to the Hilton and we thought it looked nice too--just around $350/nite if we don't use points though. I'll mention Ellas--DH has childhood memories of Calabash, but couldn't remember where to eat.

Well done on surviving, can't wait till mine are teenagers :rolleyes1 :woohoo: on the squad :thumbsup2
Thanks. No, I find this teenager thing un-nerving--(don't know if that's a word!)
I feel like I'm just winging it and hoping for the best. I guess I need to read a book on the subject(NOT from my steamy romance ones.....which doesn't help!)

I got a great deal on this. For some reason pink doesn't sell so well.

Hi there fellow Focker Watchers!!! Just wanted to pop in for a minute and say how much I miss ya's. Life's been more hectic than usual this semester - I'm up for five 10+ page art research papers in the next three months. :scared1: My progression so far:
Freak out.
Freak out more.
Denial.
Booze.
Start some research.
Realize I don't have time for research. Start fabricating.
Rip off my own work from another project.
Write myself into a circle.

That's where I left off to come Home to the DIS and frolic for a bit. My brain hurts! And. So do my hands. Well-aged people with arthritis should not go back to school in a field where writing is the primary focus.

Okay, I'm done whining.

Except. About Hurricane Season. Oh my heck, are we starting this AGAIN????

Anyway, I hope you're all doing well. WELCOME to our new members!
May the LIME be with you!:thumbsup2

DB my friend just bought a pink bag but it's all pink  :rotfl2: She absolutely loves it!

V we're still watching you too :lmao: So when do all these papers need to be done by? Is this your final year?

Is she supposed to carry the BABY in this??!!! :rotfl:
:rotfl2:
Kinda looks like it already comes with a baby--must be a girls cause it's pink and all.

Give her 6 months of carrying the baby around, and she can lug that thing around any course!:thumbsup2

Hey all-
Just remembered what AE told me last nite--
she had a field day at school on Friday. One of the games was for each kid to chew a lot of gum and then put it in a giant pile.
The "captain" of the team had to mold the "pre-chewed" gum into some kind of art form. (yes, I asked....she wore gloves!)

Their team molded the letters VT (for my alma mater, Virginia Tech)
But the winning team made a whole Mickey head out of used gum!

Kind of disgusting, but I had to admire that they did my 2 favorite things--VT and Disney!

Don't you just love all the things our kids learn in public school??:lmao:

Gloves or no gloves....YUCK! But then, again, I remember being a young teenager and me and my friends would exchange gum already chewed. Just the thought of that now makes me want to hurl!

OMG..........then I told AE what you said and she said "oh, me and Hannah do that to if we are out of gum........"
 Yuck! And that explains why they are both on antibiotics!

Yuck, yuck and yuck :faint: There again I can't stand gum as I ate it when I had a brace in and well it took forever to get it all off :scared:

Well-aged people with arthritis should not go back to school in a field where writing is the primary focus.

Um, you aren't well aged. What does well aged mean anyhow? Is that like the well brand liquor?

Except. About Hurricane Season. Oh my heck, are we starting this AGAIN????

Barry is visiting us today.

Barry is visiting us today.
Uh, is that Hurricane Barry or an uncle of yours??
It's raining a lot here today, but no one is complaining as we really needed it.

well, AE is complaining cause she wanted to go back to the pool. We are headed to see Pirates in a few minutes tho!

Barry is visiting us today.

I think we were getting some rain from him on Friday which was excellent. Today it's been ridiculously hot here and the air is so thick, kinda scary because the last time I remember this kind of weather happening Hurricane Andrew swept through here. :scared:

I think gum is disgusting. I won't let my DS have any. Also, if I ever saw a guy chewing gum, I would never consider going out with him. Isn't that funny!

:lmao: I'll tell her that! She is so happy to have her braces off that she is chewing Orbitz like it's going out of style!

FYI--wanted to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who recommended waiting till the end of the credits on POTC!
It was SO worth the wait! <<still fanning face--same fan used on Jo's thread>>

OK-- the ultimate question:
Which Orlando Bloom do ya think is hotter?
___Orlando the elf (Lord of the rings)--ooooh, blond hair
___Orlando the pirate (POTC)---ooooh, and with Johnny too!

That is an extremely hard question to answer but if I must give just one....it would have to be as Legolas only because that is where I first fell in  for him and I am a HUGE fan of the LoTRs!!
