Well, I've gotten word that the Lime Green Mickey Head Car Decals are on their way to me...wOoT wOoT!

--Mr. DB

That cake is awesome!!!!!!!!! Martha Stewart has nothing on you.

OK that lime green driving, croc wearing know it all, isn't a Disser?????

Well on 2nd thought if she was a disser she would be much more knowledgable about DVC, now wouldn't she.

Oh, so I came here to post about something else and that awesome cake made me forget.

I was at Costco today and they have Jantzen skirtinis for 22.00. I have to say it is pretty slimming. I don't say that easy, but this suit will not cause me to get harpooned when lying on the beach.

Can't remember what thread we were talking about bathing suits, but anyway thought I would let you all know.

Do they come in lime green?

The Hasselhoff has a lime green speedo on order...

Love the cake Miz Diz....where did you find all of the pirate decorations??? Hope they have a great day!!!

We're having a pirate party tomorrow for end of school Look at my cake I made. It's not perfect, but I think pretty good.

My son's school had a water day today and I volunteered. I saw this lady who had a mickey antennae topper, a lime green car, and she was wearing crocks. So I say to myself - she's got to be a diser! I asked her if she ever gets on the disboards and she said, "No, I know everything there is to know about Disney. I used to live in Florida, I used to work for Disney, and we got once a year, so I don't go on the disboards because there isn't anything there I don't already know." I didn't say anything. I just kept thinking - you don't know the Focker's. That's something you would learn.
Then she went on to tell me that her family did no buy DVC, they bought Fairfield vacation club because DVC you can't transfer the title, you can't will it, and you don't get a deed.:confused3
I bought DVC, I have a title, DVC told me I can will it, and I have a deed.
I didn't say anything though.

Cake is great and you are so talented. I also think you showed great restraint in not setting that lady straight. Disney is ever changing and you are a fool if you think you know it all because you once upon a time worked there. My db gets that attitude sometimes and I just smile and nod at him.

They look like pieces from an ImagiNext pirate set. My son has one.

Be prepared for a mini-TR with pictures-- complete with dining reviews (Granny Ogle's Ham and Beans), country music, a little magic, and even a Disney Outlet!

I heard several of y'all (well, maybe 1) ask "what is Dollywood?"--------so stay tuned tomorrow to find out!

and I missed everyone!

You were gone??? :confused3 :lmao: :lmao: Just kidding. Welcome back and I'll be glued to my computer to read all about Dollywood!

Wow--there is actual interest in a mini TR about Dollywood--must be a slow Disney day!!

To set the tone-- this weekend was my 17th anniversary--until now we have always lived far-far away from grandparents and thus have never taken a trip without kids........in 14 years.....
and DH has been working 16 hour days.
So........we both NEEDED a trip......anywhere.....

And I picked Dollywood........cause it's a theme park......and it's pretty close..........and my MIL had talked me into buying season passes!

Now y'all know by now that I have a mini farm (20 acres) with lots of pets! So-o-o-o the first problem whenever we travel is what to do with all of them.:confused3

Here's what I had to do Friday am BEFORE we could leave:
_____ drop off Max (standard poodle) at my mom's house..........oh no, she is home from work sick with the same bug I had last week.....:flower3: momentary guilt over leaving Max with her..........still leave the dog

_____arrange Isabella (large cat) to stay here at the house.......fix litter box.......pour massive quantities of food into her feeder. Sidenote--Isabella is now 20# and is also short.......I measure out each bit of food she gets each day, but I feel really guilty for leaving her so she gets a whole buffet to eat while I'm gone.:thumbsup2

_____Horses (2)--give extra food and arrange for FIL to come by and feed them.
_____Goats (2)--ditto the horses cause they think they are horses too!

Ok! now animals are set!
Oh-- forgot the kids! Got to take them both to school and remind them of weekend: BA to grandmas house (MIL) and AE to friend's house. AE still seems much to happy for me to be leaving.

So, we begin to go!!!!
Now, let's back up to learn a little about Dollywood!

What is Dollywood?? This is the description from www.dollywood.com:
Unique as its namesake Dolly Parton, Dollywood theme park is a one-of-a-kind Smoky Mountain Family Adventure! Spanning 125 acres and nestled in the lush foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, near Gatlinburg, Dollywood is one of the most popular family vacation destinations.

Local definition: Hillbilly Disney: known for funnel cakes, BBQ, country music, mountain crafts, and quick weddings. Not known for bein' multi-cultural. Only language spoken/writtin': Mountain English. Southern English CAN be understood but any other dialect is met with confused expressions and mutterings about "Yankees" or "foreigners" :lmao: . Sweet tea is the universal drink.
Has a whole shop dedicated to:

Anyway, go ahead......check out the website....you get to see Dolly too! You DO know who Dolly is right??
I'll be fixin' to post some more when I catch another minute!

OMG, Tracy! That place sounds awesome! :thumbsup2

I wonder what kind of looks I would get there, being multi-cultural! :lmao:

An entire shop for Pork Rinds???? :scared: SICK!!! The 1st time I ever tried Pork rinds, there was a big ol black pig hair cooked into it!!! EWWWWW!!! :crazy2: I've never one again!

Great start TE love the bit about your Mum being sick but still leaving the dog :lmao:

Can't wait for more popcorn::

I'll be fixin' to read more of your Dollywood TR when yer done doin' whatever ya got goin' on...

If you've got any questions about Dollywood I'd be more than happy to answer (I only live about 35 miles from Dollywood).
