An Original Focker Poem by TE!


T'was the night before Christmas
And I just couldn’t sleep
Thoughts of old friends and new
Made me not get a peep

I went to the kitchen
in search of a bite.
If I filled up my stomach,
perhaps I'd sleep tight.

The cupboard was empty
the fridge, it was bare.
I searched in the crockpot
But no food anywhere!

I looked out the window:
Streets covered with snow;
It’s two in the morning
Could I still talk to Jo?

I spied my computer,
I’ll go bootup that.
Then take me online
for some Christmas Eve chat.

My puter came to life
without even a miss!
Thanks to Rosie's puter skills!
I’ll be able to DIS!

But-----where was my Janet?
And where was my Mel?
Oh Katt, Kat, and Lessa,
Jens and Jodys?— do tell!

My threads were all opened
And I waited to chat
But the Fockers were silent
Can’t imagine that!


No Dawn, V, or Ed
Wow--that's just great…
Not even a Tracy
for another update.

Maybe Z’s working late,
Or Rachel too!
Not even Angela or Mo-
To say “Miss you too!”




Where are Slate and Mary?
I felt so alone.
Guess CE’s with her hubby….
So I can’t use the phone!


But wait! One more refresh!
Now what do I see?
There's someone else out there.
Wanting to talk to me!

In wonder---I read:
"Hey---it's 3:53.
Your friends are all sleeping;
that's where you should be".

"Turn off that 'puter.
Take your hand off that mouse.
I have a few things
to drop off at your house".

"You know I can't stop there
while you're still awake.
I have schedules to keep.
Come on----Give Me A Break!"

In just a few hours

I received a card from Michelle. And let me say, it didn't travel well to CA. Poor card looked like it fell off the mail truck, got lost and found, ripped and taped before it made it to me. But it the Christmas greeting was warm and thoughtful.

It's because A: I've already given you one, B: It was stolen/ripped from the card (which sounds like what happened to Tracy) or C: It was one of the last cards that I sent and I ran out of the bracelets. What a wonderful trip it was! Truly it was the best trip I've ever had. Not only did I get to spend time with my family in my happy place... I got to meet IRL some of the greatest ladies who have become so dear to me.

The kids really did like it. As for me, the best thing about Northern California is the wine. Oh and the Chocolate.

I've come to the conclusion that I am a warm climate kinda gal. Anything below 60 degrees should be illegal. 40 degrees was far too painful.

Getting my hair cut today at 9 am. I have HAD IT. Can't stand combing the snarls out for one more day. Argh! So, I'm thinking shoulder length. Bob's not thrilled but he'll get over it. I hope....
Unfortunately, I can't afford to have it colored by my usual girl right now (it's 125 for cut/color) so I'll be doing it myself. What do you guys suggest (I remember some of you doing it yourelves....) that I use? I haven't done my own color in years and that was back in the "poor" days when I used whatever was on sale at Kmart! (dude, that was sad....)

Ok, gotta run. I have to pack Gus's lunch and then shower. Today is the first day in 2 weeks that BOTH my kids will be at school. Halleluhah!

Sorry had to laugh @ this. My mom got home Saturday and Sunday morning asked me when I was going to decorate. So I told her I wasn't decorating this year. She was shocked and worried about me. I told her I might decorate after Disney. We'll see. I feel Grinchy this year too.

Haven't bought cards yet--but I HAVE thought about it!

Oh BTW---I ordered these Cheer mom shirts for the group on ebay--this lady embroiders them with our girls hair color, skin tone, and uniform!!

We had a fun weekend in San Fransisco. The Polar Express thing was really, really cute. The whole story came alive during the hour train ride. They had everything from the hobo to the tap dancing waiters to the Christmas bell.
