Just taking a short breather from the some brain-numbing documents...

Still car shopping. Really like the Hyundai Veracruz--lots of bells and whistles for good price (leather, 3 rows, AWD, adjustable pedals for me, and even a little cooler for drinks in front!)
Also like the Toyota Highlander. any body have one of these??

asset_upload_file768_15960.jpg
Not that one, but I'm on my third Hyundai and can't say enough about them! :thumbsup2 I had a Santa Fe for the last 6 years and loved it, though I'm even happier with my new Elantra.
Mrs. T picked out the Hyundai Entourage to replace the old minivan. Choice came down to the Toyota Sienna, the Honda Odyssey, and the Entourage, and the Hyundai won out in the safety/value/performance race. She loves it. :love:

Me too! :sad1: My northern NJ roots showing up. DS6 is a Falcons fan.

What can I do this year? I'm telling the kids on Christmas. I bought Disney blanket and pillow sets, but that's it since they are outgrowing character stuff.

What if I wrap my planning folder and a book and say, "??????"
I like the idea of the puzzle that I think Katt mentioned.

Are they into character autographs? You could wrap appropriate autograph books along with a "We'll need to go somewhere for you to collect some autographs - go to the computer to find out more" note. They don't have to be the standard Disney ones to keep the suspense. You could have a link to this web site (click here) and a note saying "Follow the link and let's start planning who you want to see". You can then have them give you some input on their top picks for the trip.

You may also find some of the printables available at this site (click here) give your creativity some sparks.

Hope this helps!

Catch y'all later. :wave:

I got Janet's card! I got Janet's card! She must like me bestest!!!!

........and love the pic Janet....I didn't even KNOW they made bikinis that small!

Well... She sent me a "Video Card".. but I am thinking that she got Jim's card confused with mine.. in which case.... uh....is my face red...??

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whew! I just read two chapters of history to the girls. :teacher: We're talking about the Puritans and different types of government. It makes my brain hurt. :scared:
We're taking a brain-ache break so they can color some more of their Jamestown books and I can DIS. :thumbsup2
When Sarabeth was discussing all that stuff last year in Va history My head was spinning too. They went into WAAAAAAYYY more detail than I did.
But we sure hammered Ky. History :rotfl2:
Katt--I liked the ride of the Highlander--but I would have to talk a lot as the sticker was $40K:upsidedow . Course that was a 09 and it had EVERY feature---nav, rear camera, I think it could talk to you in Spanish---I saw a "language" button so I'm just assuming!
Maybe it says the monorail things "the doors are now closing......" :lmao:
Por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
Are you an "AAA" Member... You know... you can either go to one of their Certified Dealers and get better prices... OR... Just use the AAA numbers to haggle... they WILL USUALLY come down so that THEY get your business and you not drive anywhere else.
Roanoke does not have a AAA Member dealer.. But Honda Met my price so I did not drive to North Carolina.
BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR HOMEWORK DONE..
2008 models will give you Haggle room :rolleyes1 I'm just saying:rolleyes1
Wow! You guys all have very cool ideas. :thumbsup2 I'll have to think on it some. :cutie:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started organizing my spreadsheet of where we're eating when and my timeline of when I need to get things done. It seems little sad looking since I didn't plan on doing the BBB or carriage ride this time. :confused3 I still need to plan time to do the Ride Along for K, though. :upsidedow
My kids won't trade. Only Aiden would walk up to someone to talk to them, and he'd probably lose them before we could get there. :sad2:
I'm thinking I may make a puzzle- the kind you can write on- and write a note on it. Or I may just wrap the planning folder and have the kids unwrap it. :rolleyes1
Do you have a really nice picture of all of you from the last trip? At CVS and Walgreens for $14.99 you can get it made into a puzzle. Before you wrap it, put it together (after the kids are in bed) and write across the bottom of it. Guess who's going back to Disney World???? Break it back apart, wrap it and have them open it Christmas Day and put it together
EDITED TO SAY: Write the saying across the bottom of the picture before you take it to CVS/Walgreens. Yep, I'm an idiot and like to do things the hard way
Ooh! Dawn!
How about this!? Make them breakfast and cut everything into MICKEY HEADS? Pancakes, fruit, toast? You can order a Mickey head cookie cutter!
Is that crafty?
Do I get something for being crafty?
OOH!
I did a puzzle for the kids in 2005. I had decided we were not going back that year.. then July got here and I booked 3 weeks out.
Used a picture I took at POP Century.. sent it somewhere... maybe Kodak...
and I announced we had a suprise... Sara, and Joshua put it together... and I had written on the picture( before I sent it for processing) We are Going Back !!!
Mel!!!! Yay for Bob being home!!! :cool1: Glad your feeling a little better. :hug:
Janet!! the pictures of Hershey Park were great. too cold though.
Wheres Jodi? :confused:
Jen! Pretty white christmas tree. :santa:
Hello to everyone I missed I had a whole weekend to catch up on!
`````````````````````````````````
Had a busy weekend. but I missed everyone. :hug:
Breakfast with Santa at the church Saturday morning, then home to clean up the yard and such since it was warm outside, I hung up the stocking for the chickens on the coop. :santa: We should`ve gotten the tree but we were too lazy.
My sister Elizabeth called to say she was on her way down. the kids were staying home with Mom and Dad. we had a nice visit. went to chineese food then to a party at my best friends house. she really had a great time! until someone made her 1 too many vodka and cranberry drinks. oops...I had to bring her downstairs to sleep on Hopes couch. She never drinks. everyone kept telling her that the City chick cant keep up with the Country folk! :lmao: shes not sure about moving. now that there is a apartment available near me shes starting to make small excuses like shes not sure if she can get out of her lease and will Jacob fit in down here and so on..shes getting scared I think, I would rather have her do that now than when shes already moved! :sad2:

I bought my ornament today and my Secret Santa!!! :santa: I still have my cards in boxes on the kitchen table. :flower3:

I got presents!!! :santa: :goodvibes Thank you very much to my Secret Santa! :hug: I won't reveal who it is until everyone gets their presents. Here are a few pics...

I've already put the towels up in my bathroom and hidden the chocolate pretzels from my kids! ;) I also got cards from Janet & Kristel. Thank you! I love the pic Janet! :goodvibes

It was the best part of my day! I had to go back into the doctor today to get some stronger antibiotics for my ear infection. When the doc took a look in my ear, he started to write me a prescription for Codeine pain meds. :eek: It must have looked pretty bad in there. I told him I didn't want it, just give me the antibiotics. I don't want my head to explode when I get on the plane next week!!! :scared:

I just hate cold/flu season. :headache: I hope everyone feels better soon! :grouphug:

Thanks again!!!

Feel better Michelle! :hug:

And so to celebrate... we put together this little dance for all of you...
There is still time.. so get to chatting ladies....

Mitch and I did this last year and had to call my sister & BIL to tell them to watch. We were laughing so hard they thought we were drunk! :rotfl:And we'd only had a few drinks.

Okay- So, a photo puzzle it is... Thanks, fockers! I couldn't have done it with out you. :goodvibes

Janet- I never would have figured out the write on it before thing! Thanks for clueing me in before I got mad that it wouldn't write very well! :lmao:

Mel- Yes! You get a picture of Mickey Mouse in a thong and feather boa for all your craftiness! Enjoy! :rotfl2:
I may do this one too. I buy the Mickey food sometimes and we watch every travel channel special about Disney, so it would have to be more obvious than this alone, but both is a great idea. Thanks! :hug:

Katt- I am so glad I can finally show everyone I know how to shake my junk! :thumbsup2

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I didn't get any cards yet, so I'm sure they will be here soon. :flower3:
Do you think it would be wrong to package up my cat and send her as a secret santa gift? I'd punch hole sin the wrapping paper... :confused3 :laughing:
:lmao: That was hysterical Katt!!!! It took forever to load for me. was just me? probably. computer has been acting wonky.
I hang mini stockings on the outside of the chicken coop for the girls, and 2 boys. one for each, so santa will come and fill them with yummy scratch...
