Well, I tried to catch up, but I don't speak Spanish.
Hate that I missed Mr & Mrs T!

Is everyone booking a trip with the new deal?
We are going June 6-13 with DVC points, but I was thinking maybe we should do the new deal and pay cash instead. That way I could save my points for another trip later.

I also read her on the dis that the deal is about 40% off rack rates and that the annual passholder deals are usually that amount. So then I thought, we'll just use our points as planned and if we decide to take another trip later, we can go when they are offering AP rates.

V - weigh in on here. What would you do?

Our short 2 night trip with our friends was a lot of fun. Our friends like to vacation in Vegas and this was her first trip to Disney. She liked it, but they like Vegas better.
I did ride TOT and it was an easy one - no long drops. Thank goodness! Josie got sick after the ride and started heaving. Mr Diz was making fun of her.
We loved food and wine, but Ollie does not like trying new things and is a very plain eater, which we knew but thought he would try something. He ended up eating pizza and ziti from Italy. Josie is from Peru and is much more open about trying new things, but she is about as big as my pinky and only ate 2 things, then got popcorn and ice cream. Of course, Mr Diz made fun of her for that and asked her, "Who goes to Food & Wine and eats popcorn and ice cream?"

We toured the new DVC BLT models. They are nice, but AKV rooms are nicer in my opinion. I like the way the kitchenette sits in the studio.

I'm home and free to plan!!! :cool1:

Well, as long as no snoopy kids look over my shoulder... :sad2:

So, I hear you all loud and clear on the castle vs. 1900. The girls and I did the castle in Jan, but the boys didn't. The stepsisters sound so dern funny, I was being pulled there. Now, that's settled. :thumbsup2

~~~~~~~~~~
Janet- I stayed at the back of POR and we didn't think it was that far for the kids. In fact, Aiden tore off running every time we went to the main house. It gave him room to run! ;) Then, we were right by the back bus stop. I really love it there and would have stayed there again for the atmosphere, but we were just too crowded. :rolleyes:
Mel- I'm so glad that things look good. :hug:
Lessa- My dates are 4/26-5/3.
She says as she wasn't here during a real one! :rotfl:
I'm fully aware. It was a nice gentle tropical storm. :goodvibes Still, I did kind of like the situation it created!
I'm glad I still look tan in pictures. ;)
You guys look great! :hug: Still loving your hair!
Dr. went really well. He said that it looks great. It's healing just the way he wants it to. I have to go back on Nov. 17th. That's only 3 days before Bob is scheduled to leave for Japan. I have to start a drop for pressure for now because they haven't opened up the small tube to relieve pressure yet and it's up to 17 right now. He said once he opens it up the pressure will drop and I can stop that eye drop. Still on the other drops for anti-biotic and inflammation.
He said I can stop the dialating drop and maybe when it wears off (in a day or so) I can drive again! So, all in all, good news I think!
::yes:: It really does!
have a great weekend everyone!!
You, too!
:rotfl: Sorry.
Is everyone booking a trip with the new deal?
Sadly, no.
Slow down Ladies... ...
Yeah CE.. I saw your "Sheet" last night .. Let's just say... "I'm watching You"
:lmao:
But why? :) Glad you had fun.
Pizza's finally here, back later!
Of course, I totally agree with what D said last night, "It's going to be hard to wait until Christmas." I wanna break that bad boy out and play! :rotfl:
Tell me about it. We've had the kids Wii hidden under our bed for about a month now. It's killing me!!! :worship:
Is anyone a POFQ fan (I know T isn't:scared: ), but anyone else. My DB and SIL loved it when they stayed there. I was looking at the map, South Quarter or North Quarter? Any particular building? We are considering it just because. Jimmy loves POP though so I am still :confused: Just want opinions becasue with the CM discount there is only a $180 difference between POP and POFQ.
JMHO but, Maddie like it there. My advice, don't pay for a water view or a river view. Request building 4 - it's right next to the food court, right next to the bus stop and 1 building over from the pool.:thumbsup2
Janet I love POR and remember T is a mod snob :rotfl: LY T :hug:
:snooty: I can't help it. :lmao:
I dont' like the look of Riverside. Looks too spread out if you have alittle one. Jimmy liked the pics of FQ though!
Don't listen to Jo - she'll have you walking all over the darn place! :rotfl2:
Thanks~ SD is doing really well. And the DR. went good too! See below!
Glad to hear you're on your way to a great recovery, Mel! :hug:
Sooooooo....
I tried to book us for June at the Poly for the bargain price of $2700 w/ park tix. The funding department denied me. :headache: Whatta CRAB! I'll have to work on him for a while, I've got a good 6 weeks, right?
He refuses to pay for a cash trip when we have DVC. I told him we don't have enough points for 2 trips. And you know what he said??? "EXACTLY!" :mad:
I may have to book it any way. Just for good measure. I mean what if he changes his mind in say... January? :rolleyes1
:stir:
Hi all!! Ok I haven't read anything today because I am a normal working person today and am working during daylight hours. So I logged in via phone (I love technology) to say hi to all my Focker friends :wave2: Anyway I'll catch up again later...seriously 10 pages again?? :faint:
I'm thinking about paying cash for the deal.
Here's something you can use to possibly sway him.
If you book a cash room, you can get a 1 day ticket, instead of the 7 days. Take your 1 day ticket and upgrade it to an annual pass, using your DVC discount. Then next year, take your yearly trip the week before your AP expires, so you won't have to get tix next year.
T! :lmao:
Angela- Where are the concerts held in Epcot? Do they always have them at a certain time? I'm so excited that Chubby Checker and the Wildcats will be there when we are! :banana:
I love oldies. :lovestruc
Well, I'm not Angela, but right in front of America in the World Showcase, there is a stage with seats.
Fuzzy Disney math at it's best! :cool1:
In front of the American pavilion. Yesterday they performed at 5.15, 6.30, 7.45. I would assume the times would be the same. Where did you find the info about Chubby Checker? I looked on the Disney site but couldn't find it.
I found it here under April.
I found it here under April.
Thanks! I checked that site but not in the correct place. ;) Davey Jones is always cute and I like Paul Revere and the Raiders. One year Three Dog Night played. I wish they would come back.
Anyone been to the Candlelight processional? I have wanted to but it's always so crowded to try to get a seat.
So, I guess I was trying hard to find a few more TS and I ended up with Ohana twice. One's breakfast and one's dinner. I just wanted a nice breakfast before we leave. :confused3 We don't have hoppers, so that plays a factor. I also tried not make Kirt eat steak too many meals in a row. :rolleyes1
I'm not super happy with it, but I don't know where to eat with the third TS at Epcot.
Hi, Z! Wow, normal person hours? ;)
***************************************
The kids chose Pooh's Heffalump Movie. Which I guess is kind of cute, but I'm a Pooh purist. :snooty:
It's over, though.
:rotfl:
Woody is wiped, and acting like it. :headache: Fridays.
It's time to deal with winding down and bed, so I may be back later. :grouphug:
Dawn - Unless you're doing it for the characters at Ohana, you should do breakfast at Kona on your last day. It's soooooo good. You can get Tonga Toast and pineapple-macadamia pancakes! It's right next to Ohana and it's really yummy!
The Grand Floridian is on the monorail, right next to the Poly. We went to 1900 Park Fare in Jan 2007 and it was really good. We didn't get the stepsisters and stepmother though. We had the mice instead! I would do it again for the stepsisters!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DH and I rented Baby Mama for tonight. Obviously going to watch it after the girls are in bed.

My stupid dog ran away again today. I searched for him for at least 30 minutes before he just came home. I was so mad! :mad: I told DH that he absolutely needs to get the invisible fence that he bought two years ago installed now! :mad:

No plans for the weekend. DH has a fire dept meeting tomorrow morning, but I've got nothing all day. It's supposed to turn cold tomorrow, so I'm hoping I might be able to get some online Christmas shopping done or maybe some scrapbooking....:rolleyes:

Hi Fockers This is a sad day One of my consumers (37) is in ICU and not going to make it ! I was at the hospital with her parents and it just tore me up to see them !! We think it was a clot as it happened sooo fast!!
