Dawn, I agree with everyone else...You need a do over trip anyway. a trip where you can actually be warm in Florida and not freeze your tushies off :thumbsup2

Well, I'm off to pay some bills and come up with a June plan. :surfweb:

Have a great Friday everyone! :wave:

oohhh a june trip !! wow, you really got andy on board!! spill it sista, how did you do it??? i really need pointers!!

Good morning everybody!

Angela, our dates are 5/16-5/23 and then off for a 7-night Disney cruise (to answer Janet's question).

Hey Kat! Can't wait to see your Tinkerbell pictures, :goodvibes
hi lessa!!
OK, we have the amazon.com Prime, which gives us free 2-day shipping. So when I ordered all that stuff yesterday, they said it would come Monday. But the actual Wii and the Wii Play are "out for delivery" as of this morning! :eek: The reason I'm :eek: about it is that the UPS guy tends to come late in the afternoon, so the boys would be home. I don't think this stuff will come in amazon.com boxes - most big electronics (like my printer) have always come in their own boxes.

So, I have to come up with some reason that we need to leave the house pretty much right after they come home from school, and stay away until it's time to go pick up the pizza (which we'd do, anyway) for our normal Friday night.

I have nowhere that I want to take them, really no errands to run. I'm at a loss.

And then I just have to pray that when we DO come back (in the dark) that they won't notice boxes on the front step! :eek:

And then I have to do this all again on Monday, when the Fit is supposed to come.

Sigh.

But D should be home on Monday, so that might not be quite as bad of an issue - at least one of us could stay home and not worry about them being spotted on the step.

I think I can take them to the library to "look for a DVD" and then invent a reason to go by the grocery store (that I just got back from :rolleyes: ) and then on to pizza. Maybe.

just tell them you need more toilet paper!!

or wine!!:lmao:

it's so hard to be sneaky when the kids are older and curious!!:headache:

Ruh-roh. I just checked the website and for March 20th-27th, for Jon and I at ASMu...it's only $1100...that's with park tickets.

:faint:

Ummmm...sounds like this would be a better deal for just he and I. I see SW dings to Orlando all the time for around $200 rt. This could mean we could get in and out for about $1500.

Minus the $200 gift card it would be $1300. No dining plan because it's not worth it with Jon and I. We could get a week for under $1700. :faint:

What should I do????
um, book!!!
All this planning going on is making me twitch!!!!!!!!

I showed DH the huge discounts being offered for the spring and he said "What are you doing?"

;)
does he mean what week are we going???
Jen2- Book it! :thumbsup2

All these trips are making me HAPPPYYYYY!!!! :lovestruc
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I haven't done any planning in so long! I don't have any folders or sites saved anymore. :sad2: My TGM ran out too.
Is it generally just wise to avoid EMHs? :confused3 That's what I did in January and it worked well.
I have to figure out what days we're going to be where so I can plan meals, but the May park hours aren't out yet. They also aren't taking ADRs for dates after March yet, so I can get a fair shot to book as anyone else. :cool1:
So, this is the help I need right now:
1900 Park Faire or the Castle?
I'm thinking with 7 days, we'll do 1 AK, 1 DHS, 2 MK, and 3 Epcot. Does that sound reasonable? (Lots of Test Track, Jo!)
I wish I could sit here and plan, but B has volleyball in 30 mins. I'll be back after 3.
don't do castle as it takes up 2 ts meals!!:thumbsup2
Good Afternoon! :goodvibes 5 pages since last night,,not bad:thumbsup2
I called Disney today with the codes. Its tough for us because there are 5 of us. I`m not sure I like the prices. I did 2 packages. one with dining one without. June 19th-26th, $4,188 2 rooms at POP With dining. water parks and park hopper...OUCH!
Same package without dining is. $2,900...huge differance...
I doubt Steve will be on board. he said he gets to pick the next vacation..:lmao:
that's a big difference!!
40 PAGES IN 3 DAYS...THAT HAS TO BE A FOCKER RECORD. Thanks in a large part to, "Floss Killer", Slate, and G-LUV...
Hey, I was there, too. :snooty: :rotfl:
Maybe you could send them to the neighbors or say the delivery is for the neighbors.
I thought about that, but they like to play outside, so I was afraid they'd still see the UPS truck.
Same: hot, humid, rainy. Rinse and repeat for July, Aug. and Sept. Generally, June is a bit less active as far as hurricanes go.
But I learned to love the hurricanes!
Is it generally just wise to avoid EMHs?
I certainly think so, as long as you don't plan to actually use them. And V's right, mornings are fine, but p.m. EMH's just overrun the parks. Happened to me again this year.
Oh and our wii fit from Amazon came in a brown Amazon box!
Good to know!
**************************************
Well...
They came early!!!!
The boxes arrived at 2:30. AND they were brown amazon boxes!!!
Pshew. So with Jo's knowledge above, I'm probably still OK for Monday, too, even if he comes later in the afternoon. :thumbsup2
Of course, I totally agree with what D said last night, "It's going to be hard to wait until Christmas." I wanna break that bad boy out and play! :rotfl:
I'm particularly pleased because I didn't really want to think about making up, then dealing with doing, fake errands. :lmao:
OK, all this talk about planning has got me in the mood to research for August. LIke it would take much to do that:rolleyes:
Is anyone a POFQ fan (I know T isn't:scared: ), but anyone else. My DB and SIL loved it when they stayed there. I was looking at the map, South Quarter or North Quarter? Any particular building? We are considering it just because. Jimmy loves POP though so I am still :confused: Just want opinions becasue with the CM discount there is only a $180 difference between POP and POFQ.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN...YOU HAVE NOT BOOKED YET ???:scared1: :scared1:
I know nothing. :rolleyes1
CE glad the Wii came, hope the other package comes in plain boxes too :thumbsup2
Janet I love POR and remember T is a mod snob :rotfl: LY T :hug:
But I learned to love the hurricanes!
She says as she wasn't here during a real one! :rotfl:
Sounds like a question for V. Doesn't she stay there? :confused3
Angela, lovely photos :goodvibes
Janet POR really isn't that spread out but remember I'm crazy and like walking :lmao:
V/Angela what weather should I expect in 4 weeks today???? :yay:
Jon hasn't even made it to his teen years...:eek:
Here's the thing. There is a teacher here at my school who owns a time share in florida through wyndham. He has said he could get me a 1 bedroom off-site for about $100/night. I would then have to rent a car. Should I do this? Do you think I could drive around by myelf?
OR...should I look at the website and see what I could get there first???
Yes, the teenage years are very interesting....I was a wild child in my teen years but he's such a good boy. Makes it really really hard to remember that he USUALLY makes really good decisions. He's NOTHING like his momma...LOL.
I like the Wyndham resorts but I think that's a bit steep. We used to rent a WHOLE 5 bedroom house (in a Wyndham resort community) with 3 bathrooms, and a full sized pool for about 1000 a week. That was only 3 years ago...:confused3 Maybe it's just me, but the difference in price once you rent a car and drive in the DANG entry traffic daily it hardly ends up worth it. That's why we finally bought DVC....
katt-- yeah we went a little crazy with the spanish last night!!:lmao:
oooohhhh are you booking a trip too??? sweet!!!:thumbsup2
mel-- glad to hear sd doing better and hope the dr appt goes well.
Thanks~ SD is doing really well. And the DR. went good too! See below!
okay mel, just read about sd's friends..... wow. teenagers are hard!!!
i just think back to when i was a teen and i'm :scared1:
Yeah, just wait Rachel! OMG, it's hard!
Have to have the park hopper! I wanted water parks, because its summer and we`ve only been to Blizzard Beach. We want to do Typhoone lagoon, and the boys loved Disney Quest.
Mel,,how did the Appt go? :hug:
Oooooh Carrie! I hope you book it! Sounds so fun. We are maybe going to book a week at Contemporary for just us in May....I am not sure on dates!
See below for Dr. update
You guys have GOT to stop chatting so much! :rotfl2:
Dr. went really well. He said that it looks great. It's healing just the way he wants it to. I have to go back on Nov. 17th. That's only 3 days before Bob is scheduled to leave for Japan. I have to start a drop for pressure for now because they haven't opened up the small tube to relieve pressure yet and it's up to 17 right now. He said once he opens it up the pressure will drop and I can stop that eye drop. Still on the other drops for anti-biotic and inflammation.
He said I can stop the dialating drop and maybe when it wears off (in a day or so) I can drive again! So, all in all, good news I think!
Bob and I are going to do the grocery shopping FINALLY! OMG, we are totally out of everything. No milk, no eggs, no juice, no meat, no veggies! It's awful! I can't even MAKE dinner, there's nothing to make!
My date night is looking BLEAK girls! HA!
Tomorrow is SD's sleepover (fingers crossed!) and then Sunday we are seeing the new Madagascar movie! Yay!
I am so happy about all of your trips! We are definitely going (all 4 of us, plus a friend for SD) in January. I want to add on a "mel and bob" only trip but don't know when.
I'm going to think on it over the weekend, then book!
MEL:banana:
I really like POFQ when I stayed there in December. I'd only stayed there and DL/POR, but I loved it-it's a nice size, clean, and I had few bus issues.
angela -- great pics!!
mel-- glad your md appt went well!! :hug:
okay, mike will be home shortly for the weekend. i have to work fri,sat, sun nights. but, i might have someone to work sat night for me. so , i prob won't be on much. sorry no spanish for me tonight!!
have a great weekend everyone!!
Janet POR really isn't that spread out but remember I'm crazy and like walking :lmao:
Actually, I agree with Jo. And I'm not a fan of long walks. ;) Neither am I a fan of POFQ, though it's not horrible. For me, it's a customer service issue; theirs sucks.
V/Angela what weather should I expect in 4 weeks today???? :yay:
DON'T pack until a night or 2 before you go! Honest Jo, Dec. is wacky in FL - it could be 80 and sunny, or it could be 40 and rainy. Chances are it'll be somewhere in between, but I always recommend Dec. travelers wait and check the forecast right before leaving. I also recommend bringing some cold weather gear no matter the forecast; all it takes is a rogue cold front dipping down to send night temps into the 20s or 30s. It's not often, but it happens. But bring a swimsuit, too, because you could also get a rogue warm front!
Maybe just check with me in a few weeks. :rotfl:
Dr. went really well.
GREAT news Mel! :hug:
