Dawn - Unless you're doing it for the characters at Ohana, you should do breakfast at Kona on your last day. It's soooooo good. You can get Tonga Toast and pineapple-macadamia pancakes! It's right next to Ohana and it's really yummy!

I second that, Jodi! :thumbsup2 We've done both and I actually preferred Kona's breakfast over Ohana's. After breakfast we did a monorail ride over to Epcot and rode SSE and headed back to the resort for our ME time. It was perfect!

BTW, still waiting for those January plans. Ahem. ;)

Hi Fockers This is a sad day One of my consumers (37) is in ICU and not going to make it ! I was at the hospital with her parents and it just tore me up to see them !! We think it was a clot as it happened sooo fast!!

 So sorry to hear that.

Well, I tried to catch up, but I don't speak Spanish.
Hate that I missed Mr & Mrs T!
It's good to be back. :grouphug: Not to fear. I expect we won't be dropping of the face of the planet again anytime soon.

Is everyone booking a trip with the new deal?
We are going June 6-13 with DVC points, but I was thinking maybe we should do the new deal and pay cash instead. That way I could save my points for another trip later.
We're booked for 6/4-6/11. I spoke to our TA this morning, and she was able to apply the 4 for 3 deal. $1,100 off our prior package price. :woohoo: It's still pretty pricey with one of the kids bumping over to adult pricing for the meal plan and tickets.

Speaking of kids, I'm off to put our youngest to sleep. I'll try to check in again later, or maybe Mrs. T...

We're flying into San Diego on Thursday, Jan 22nd. We should be to DLR by 1:00pm or so that day. We're staying at the HoJo's that night and will be driving back to San Diego late on Friday. We don't have any plans yet, so whenever you are available, we are too!

Sweeeeet! We'll I doubt I have anything going on either day, so when you firm up your plans, which should be soon (ahem ;)) we can pick a day to meet up. There's a great bar right smack in the middle of DTD, perfect for an afternoon cocktail. ;)

Oh and right next to HoJo's is Mimi's Cafe - they have a nice breakfast.

Dr. went really well. He said that it looks great. It's healing just the way he wants it to. I have to go back on Nov. 17th. That's only 3 days before Bob is scheduled to leave for Japan. I have to start a drop for pressure for now because they haven't opened up the small tube to relieve pressure yet and it's up to 17 right now. He said once he opens it up the pressure will drop and I can stop that eye drop. Still on the other drops for anti-biotic and inflammation.
He said I can stop the dialating drop and maybe when it wears off (in a day or so) I can drive again! So, all in all, good news I think!

That's awesome Mel. So glad to hear good news around here for a change:hug:

Tomorrow is SD's sleepover (fingers crossed!) and then Sunday we are seeing the new Madagascar movie! Yay!

thfingers-crossed-emoticon.gif

I am so happy about all of your trips! We are definitely going (all 4 of us, plus a friend for SD) in January. I want to add on a "mel and bob" only trip but don't know when.

August would be good so you could see me and Katt:rolleyes1

I really like POFQ when I stayed there in December. I'd only stayed there and DL/POR, but I loved it-it's a nice size, clean, and I had few bus issues.

Bus issuespopcorn::

Actually, I agree with Jo. And I'm not a fan of long walks. Neither am I a fan of POFQ, though it's not horrible. For me, it's a customer service issue; theirs sucks.

OK, this doesn't sound good!:sad2:

DON'T pack until a night or 2 before you go! Honest Jo, Dec. is wacky in FL - it could be 80 and sunny, or it could be 40 and rainy. Chances are it'll be somewhere in between, but I always recommend Dec. travelers wait and check the forecast right before leaving. I also recommend bringing some cold weather gear no matter the forecast; all it takes is a rogue cold front dipping down to send night temps into the 20s or 30s. It's not often, but it happens. But bring a swimsuit, too, because you could also get a rogue warm front!

::yes:: The one time I was ever there at Christmas time. It was 78 one day and then 32 the next.:sad2:

Our short 2 night trip with our friends was a lot of fun. Our friends like to vacation in Vegas and this was her first trip to Disney. She liked it, but they like Vegas better.
I did ride TOT and it was an easy one - no long drops. Thank goodness! Josie got sick after the ride and started heaving. Mr Diz was making fun of her.
We loved food and wine, but Ollie does not like trying new things and is a very plain eater, which we knew but thought he would try something. He ended up eating pizza and ziti from Italy. Josie is from Peru and is much more open about trying new things, but she is about as big as my pinky and only ate 2 things, then got popcorn and ice cream. Of course, Mr Diz made fun of her for that and asked her, "Who goes to Food & Wine and eats popcorn and ice cream?".

Glad you had fun. Welcome home:goodvibes

Janet- I stayed at the back of POR and we didn't think it was that far for the kids. In fact, Aiden tore off running every time we went to the main house. It gave him room to run! Then, we were right by the back bus stop. I really love it there and would have stayed there again for the atmosphere, but we were just too crowded. :r

Thanks!:thumbsup2

JMHO but, Maddie like it there. My advice, don't pay for a water view or a river view. Request building 4 - it's right next to the food court, right next to the bus stop and 1 building over from the pool.

Thanks for the tip. That's what I was trying to figure out. If we went this route, which building to request. I was going with standard view, so I am sure that will have a factor in where we get put too!

Don't listen to Jo - she'll have you walking all over the darn place!

:lmao:

I tried to book us for June at the Poly for the bargain price of $2700 w/ park tix. The funding department denied me. :headache: Whatta CRAB! I'll have to work on him for a while, I've got a good 6 weeks, right?

He refuses to pay for a cash trip when we have DVC. I told him we don't have enough points for 2 trips. And you know what he said??? "EXACTLY!"

You got busted:rotfl2:

I may have to book it any way. Just for good measure. I mean what if he changes his mind in say... January?

Well if you have too:rolleyes1

Hi all!! Ok I haven't read anything today because I am a normal working person today and am working during daylight hours. So I logged in via phone (I love technology) to say hi to all my Focker friends :wave2: Anyway I'll catch up again later...seriously 10 pages again??

Good luck with catching up today:sad2:

Anyone been to the Candlelight processional? I have wanted to but it's always so crowded to try to get a seat.

We went once and loved it. Gary Sinese:love: was the narrator the night we went. Did you look into the Processional Package so you dont' have to wait in line for hours. You and Mitch could have a nice dinner and then go!:confused3

Woody is wiped, and acting like it. Fridays.

It's time to deal with winding down and bed, so I may be back later.

We are up for a while. Toon Disney has a Power Rangers Jungle Fury Marathon on. I pulled out the travel bed, turned out the lights, and am hoping Jimmy crashes before it is over!

Is HoJo's right across the street from the entrance. We stayed at the Carousel Inn (?) in '01 and it amazed me that we could walk to the main entrance and could see our hotel from the monorail!

Dawn 0 I agree with Jodi and T about O'Hana v. Kona. If you are going to Lilo and Stitch go to O'Hana the character interaction is great. If you just want a relaxing last meal go to Kona!:thumbsup2

========================================================

Sitting in the dark hoping Jimmy rashed while he is watching the Power Rangers Marathon. Jimmy and I are going to see Blues Clues live tomorrow while Jim paints. The Dining Room is painted, so all that is left is the living room and hallway! It has to be done becasue we are going furniture shoping on Tuesday!

Sooooooo....

:stir:

$2700 does not sound too bad! We're staying there 6/4-11, and our package price with the $1100 discount scored today still makes me a little  . Of course, before the discount it was just :scared1: .

Sun 5/3
Ohana (breakfast)
Leave

So, I guess I was trying hard to find a few more TS and I ended up with Ohana twice. One's breakfast and one's dinner. I just wanted a nice breakfast before we leave. :confused3
I am biased. We've always ended with the Ohana character breakfast. See http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=16321938&postcount=53

But, we're doing it for the characters :stitch: . I'll agree with most of the other posts on this issue that for a quiet breakfast with a wider selection Kona is a better bet.

This is Jimmy's favorite character meal and he was so disappointed that we didn't go this year. It is on our must do for August though ::yes::

=======================================================

Another POFQ question. Are the fridges included in the room? If they are they makes the difference between that and Pop only $100!

Also, are the characters gone from GG for good or just lunch? I need somewhere to see Chip and Dale!

POFQ has fridges. :cool1: Seriously, I think I waited for like 2 buses all week, it wasn't bad.

I am really leaning towards POFQ. Between that and POP there is only $179 difference (Real math, not fuzzy:goodvibes ). I really think Jimmy will like it and I am looking to try something new.!

Cut him off! If he is going to deny you your jollies, then return the favor. :thumbsup2

I know you want to go for your b-day, but what about the 1st week in Feb? The deal will be sweeter.

I think they're still there for dinner. I'm pretty sure they also appear at CM for breakfast and dinner.

Uh, Z? I can't believe I am asking this in November, but are you under a hurricane watch?

Do it - I think Jimmy will really enjoy the resort and the pool slide. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: You're too funny!

HEY! Where'd everybody go??? :confused3

uh.........wow ladies...........I think you've all out-talked yourselves in the last 24 hours! How many pages?? Janet--do we have a record? Wait---do we HAVE an official record keeper????
Volunteers? :lmao:

Focker Warning Alert----Readers of thread subject to being bitten by Disney Planning Bug........no preventative measures known, only cure is booked trip. Continue to read at own risk.

So.......who's planning trips??
I saw Dawn---and I recommend Cali Grill if you need a 2 TS.
Les Chefs for 1. But remember my crew likes fine dining.

Jo......course she gets a FREE trip!:snooty:
(I told Daran and BA all about the Moms Panel, and they were extrememly impressed and both said "WHY DIDN"T YOU APPLY???" )

Chip and Dale? Great idea! I vote for a Private Focker Chipp-n-dale show---Jo......recommend that, k???:lmao:

POFQ? Janet? I thought it looked pretty neat when we rode past it on a boat......but I really liked POR---just take some comfy shoes! I think my next stay will be at CBR tho---would have tried last time but pools were down.
