You and me both Jo. I have a closet full of shoes, but they all seem to fall into two categories: work and flip-flops. I like my Converse sneaks, but not for a lot of walking. And my fuzzy Crocs will be way too warm for temps in the 70s. I'm stumped, so let me know if you find anything good online!
I was hoping you could help me not the other way around :rotfl2:

Good morning
I am tired, very tired. P (my 3rd child:rotfl2: )played hockey last night and called at 1130 to say he was "stopping into the emergency room to get a few stiches". WHAT?!?!
He got a stick to the mouth and his lip is soo nasty. 6 or 8 stiches fixed that. He didnt get home till 315a and I just couldnt sleep.
Oh no, hope it heals well

Thanks for everyone helping me process that whole ugly work situation. I told Kirt when he got home that it had really upset me and he said it was already on his list to talk to his supervisor about when they meet this next week.
That's good that's he's doing something :thumbsup2

Here he is on "Della" last week :goodvibes :

Very cute and wow what a big horse!

Well, that's a good reason to have arms ache.
Not for me I hate shopping :rotfl2:

Right I'd better go hide my purchases before picking Ellie up :wave2:

:faint: It's going to feel GREAT down here for you! Forecast says highs in the mid-70s next week! :thumbsup2

Thank goodness! I'm tired of the cold. ;)

I am tired, very tired. P (my 3rd child:rotfl2: )played hockey last night and called at 1130 to say he was "stopping into the emergency room to get a few stiches". WHAT?!?!

Just a quick stop on the way home! :rotfl:

Thanks for everyone helping me process that whole ugly work situation. I told Kirt when he got home that it had really upset me and he said it was already on his list to talk to his supervisor about when they meet this next week.

Glad to hear it! :thumbsup2

So he'll need to start jumping or dressage now to be ready for the Olympics! ;)

Janet you would be in your swim suit at my house. Its 37 here in NJ today and my heat is on 72 NO KIDDING.It will get warmer as it gets colder out. On the downside my gas/electric in the winter is approx $1750-1900 per month:eek:

72 :faint: Our thermostat very rarely goes above 67!!!

$1750:scared1:

OH and anyone thinging of buying that PIXOS carp for christmas.....DONT. It sucks(to put it mildly) and I have little balls all over my floor...its driving me CRAZY

Thanks for the tip, Jimmy keeps saying he wants them and I chagne the subject:thumbsup2

Okay. Agreed. No badgering each other.

Agreed:thumbsup2

Thanks for the warning. My MIL bought my kids that stupid moon sand that I hate.

I change the subject on this one too:rolleyes1

Jon made Maria's Tacos...

It's a recipe from Meeska...

It has veggies in with the meat (turkey)...and the veggies sort of melt into the taco meat. It was yummy.

He even chopped onions!

What a great kid. He'll make a great companion to some dear soul down the road.

He can clean a mean bathtub and make a mean taco.

WTG Jon:cool1:

That's how I sold it to the HR committee. Since my two coworkers appointed me as the HR committee, it was not hard to sell. But, the conversation between me and the HR committee representative proved the need for more mental health expenditures.

Real tough sell huh:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Really hard day today. I'm not sure what happened to me but I had a really awful panic attack. Bad enough that I had to take one of SD's pills.

I wouldn't normally tell a bunch of people this. So, this is weird. But, I know some of you struggle with anxiety and so I figured it's a safe place.
Bob was comforting but he's leaving for Japan on Thurs. so he's completely freaked out about me not coping. I feel bad for giving him MORE to worry about.

My mom is coming from Tues-Fri. And, call me crazy but I just booked my MIL to come the for the week after. I just decided that I don't want to have to handle this alone. She's good in the respect that she does things the way I do them. (The FIL WON'T be here...) Well, anyway, that's my day in a nutshell.

Hope tomorrow is better!

MEL

How are you feeling today:hug:

Jo- I'm spending Thanksgiving in WDW!!!!! Animal Kingdom here I come!

:yay:

You asked...

Those pictures are great. I should see if I can dig up any from our trip to WDW in 76 or 81!

Today is my day off I plan on doing a lot of sleeping and a whole lot of nothing.

Hope you have a restful day:goodvibes

Yesterday I went to the festival of trees. They were so beautiful even if it is too early to have trees up!

Cool, but WAY TO EARLY!

It's never too early, my dear! I'm in full restraint mode...not allowed to put anything up until after Thanksgiving. So I cheat and listen to holiday music

:sad2: Decorations should not be put up until at least Black Friday!:thumbsup2

Just stopping in to say hello.

Well my arms ache after shopping all morning, I've managed to get most of the girls stocking things but need to go online to do the rest, can't stand the shops again. I also couldn't find the shoes I wanted, I really wanted some brown/beige sneakers to wear to WDW as we've been told to wear comfy shoes but I wanted something a little smarter than white sneakers

SO what did you getpopcorn::

Happy saw him the morning and said "you should have had your cage on dad" .

:lmao:

Thanks for everyone helping me process that whole ugly work situation. I told Kirt when he got home that it had really upset me and he said it was already on his list to talk to his supervisor about when they meet this next week.

Sounds like K has everything under control!:thumbsup2

Here he is on "Della" last week

3040846079_5f89f7a861.jpg

Love it!:goodvibes

By the way - I think the HR committee should approve a WDW vacation for the entire office.

Oooh, good idea:thumbsup2

Thank goodness! I'm tired of the cold. ;)

:sad2:

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Morning. Was just doing a quick check in before I am back in meetings with the auditors. Hope everyone has a great day. BTW Dawn, thanks for the email...it really has Jim thinking:thumbsup2

Happy saw him the morning and said "you should have had your cage on dad" .
Funny how my 6 yr old knows this but not DH:confused3
:rotfl: Out of the mouths of babes!
Bashful has a recheck for his surgery. His bandage came off last week and it looks AMAZING:banana:  YOu can harldy see the scar, its not red or raised.:worship: to the Dr.
Yay, that's great!

ADORABLE!!
Thanks! :goodvibes

So he'll need to start jumping or dressage now to be ready for the Olympics! ;)
::yes:: But he says "no" to jumping: "too dangersous Mommy."

Leo looks so important up there! How cute! :cutie:
Thanks! I can't get over how confident and comfortable he looked.

just a drive-by!! no time to quote, but a  to you all.

i have so much to do and need to get my butt in gear! maybe i'll be able to get on later.

happy hump day !!!!:)

Morning ladies! Just caught up on 12 pages, since I haven't had time to check in since Monday morning!

I can't remember everything that was discussed, but I do know that Mel needs a  and V is going to have a cold winter, but a really cute Leo on a horse!!

On the topic of thermostats, ours stays at 68 in the winter and 74 in the summer. If you get cold, put on some more clothes!

Christmas decorating should start on Black Friday, not before.

I've got a sick kiddo at home today. DD4 started throwing up at about 2:30 am, so she's home from school today. She's been good since about 6:45am and I'm hoping it's over, but she's feeling a bit puny and just wants to hang out on the sofa all day. Fine by me. I need to get some laundry done and some cleaning. I might even get some scrapbooking done!

Hope everyone has a happy hump day!

Good Morning Everyone! :goodvibes

I just read the last 2 pages - no time to quote everyone... sorry!

Mr. T - too cute! Love the pics!

T2 - for P, but :thumbsup2 for Bashful! Glad his scar is minimal.

Jodi - Hope your little one is better soon!

Rachel, Janet, Lessa, Angela, Jo, Jen1 & Jen2, Mary & Dawn - :wave2:

Janet -

V - Good idea on the Wii - you might try the Leapster to see if he's into gaming. Educational games only and at a fraction of the cost. :thumbsup2 And great photo of Leo on the horse!

Mel -

Geeze, I hope I didn't forget anyone!

***************************************************

Last night I had my first "official" Brownie meeting. It was so cute. Granted I only had 3 girls last night, including my own daughter, but that was actually perfect for me. They earned their first patch! I was so proud of them! :thumbsup2

I'll have 5 next week - 1 didn't show last night, due to school issues and another mother called me last night to join our troop. I would like to have a group of 8-10.

I take my coding test in 3 weeks, so I've got to start studying today. I'll check in later. Hope everyone has a good day!

72 :faint: Our thermostat very rarely goes above 67!!!
I just changed ours into f and we have it set at 62 :rotfl2:

SO what did you get popcorn::
Can't say just incase a nosy DD looks here, but lots of little things!

Thanks Jo
All set for WDW moms?
Yep, we're all chatting on facebook and they seem like a really lovely group. We aren't allowed to be told anything about our itinerary though which is frustrating :rotfl2:

T your Brownie meeting sounded great, when I did Rainbows (aged 5-7) I had 16 of them :faint:

I'm glad it went well, T. We did cub scouts for a few years. :scared1: So glad when #1 said he was done with that.

Hi girls. Thanks to everyone for the hugs!

I saw the Dr. He said it's no wonder I'm having trouble coping with all that's been on my plate the last few months and with Bob leaving. He gave me a small prescrip for Xanax. He said go ahead and take them if I need them. No worries. But, he said if I go through them quick I should see someone for more "targeted" therapy and help. He's only my family dr. He knows my family really well though and I knew he'd understand my issues.

So, I had some soup. That was the first meal since bfast yesterday so that's good.

Oh, and I have a sinus infection! So, once I get the meds in me for that I should be feeling GOOD.

My MIL is coming on Sat. She's staying until Bob comes home! Thank goodness. (Never thought I'd say that!)
And I called my mom and told her that the MIL will be here while SHE Is. She's cool with it.

Thanks again everyone. It's so nice to have you!

MEL

Love the old pics! :goodvibes
Thx!

Sorry to hear about the injury and hectic evening. Hope it all heals well!

David- Wow! Your cousin was sporting one tiny top! :lmao: Thanks for sharing the pics.
I sent her an e-mail copy of it. I haven't heard anything back. She's married and has two children of her own these days.

Here he is on "Della" last week :goodvibes :

3040846079_5f89f7a861.jpg
Cool pic! :cool1: I had a chance to audit horseback riding in graduate school. Tuition was the same whether or not I took that class, so I figured why not. It was a blast.

Mr T - You are still stinkin' cute!;)
Thank you! :goodvibes

By the way - I think the HR committee should approve a WDW vacation for the entire office.:rotfl2:
I've tossed it around as a company retreat or annual meeting, but the budget really has not been there. The tax deductability rules are also pretty complicated and would require more work days than play days. :confused3 Maybe I could moonlight as a travel agent, then I could chalk it up to research and business development. :rolleyes1

Real tough sell huh:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
I stated my case very eloquently. I'm saying that as the HR committee; otherwise, you might consider that comment as a bit of puffery on my own part.

Those pictures are great. I should see if I can dig up any from our trip to WDW in 76 or 81!
Thanks! You should. :thumbsup2 Those pictures refreshed some great memories. :)

:woohoo: Good going! I've really enjoyed watching both DDs participate in these activities. DS just started cub scouts this year. I'm the assistant den leader, and so it was really cool to see all the boys get their first patches and belt loops at the last pack meeting. :yay:

Oh, and I have a sinus infection! So, once I get the meds in me for that I should be feeling GOOD.
Hope things calm down a bit in your life. I'm glad to hear you've got some support coming to help. Take care of yourself! Sinus infections are no fun, and at least for me, tend to stick around if I don't get adequate rest.

==============================
I've got the kids home from school. I've done a pretty good job of keeping them on task for homework. It has not been too conducive to getting work done from home. :sad2: Of course, it gives me a greater chance to catch-up with y'all. :cloud9: I can deal with interruptions every 5-10 minutes while I'm DISing, but it doesn't work very well when I'm trying to focus on a document for a client.

Mrs. T should be home from work :teacher: in about 45 minutes, so I'm hoping to squeeze in a couple of hours of work after I tag her into the ring.

 Sorry!

My mother takes Adavant for anxiety issues. Sometimes small things send her into a tailspin, other times - not so much. She worries about everything. I am the complete opposite - it almost scares me to say I am more like my father. It takes ALOT to get us worried.

There's a line in the movie "Steel Magnolias" where Shelby tells her mother "I never worry, 'cause I know you're worrying enough for both of us!" So true with my mother.

You do have ALOT on your plate, girl - just remember, baby steps. You've got tons of support here.

Well I am really glad you are doing better! And if nothing else at least watching your MIl & Mom together should be interesting , right? ;)

Rant Enclosed:

So I have given up trying to get the thanksgiving I want. We are going to KC's parent's house (in guam or a 2 hour train ride). His mom is cooking most of the meal, which is not much (turkey, roast pork, stuffing, rice and beans) and I am making mashed sweet potatoes and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

KC's dad lost his job, again. The one he had for the last few months was temp apparently. So his mom says "times are hard". This annoys me. I know it seems wrong to be annoyed by it but I have reasons that I will only be sharing with you guys, as not to offend my lovely hubby. His mom over spends. She buys to buy, they have so much stuff its crazy, clothes that are in the package and bedding up the wazoo. she's also a heavy smoker. When dad lost his job a while back she tried to say she wanted to quit but as soon as he was working she was smoking again. That bugs me too.

KC has offered them money and whatever else they need when we really don't have much to give. There is even talk of he and I moving into their apartment if his dad can find work as a super again(you need to live in the building you are a super for) so they don't loose the apartment they have.
I guess I am just annoyed that we seem to care so much and they seem indifferent to our efforts. Darn non-emotion showing people.

And then there's the talk for the 3rd year in a row about why we wont be there on christmas again. that'll be fun. So much to look fwd to.

Popping in quick-like because I just remembered... I keep forgetting to tell you guys about THE PERFECT PARKS BAG!!!!

I think I found The One. For real this time. ;)

It's this one - the Classic Hobo from LeSportSac. I got it in Peacock and used it Sun. at the MK. It was nearly perfect in every way!

Why?

I can wear it across my body, which is my preference. Don't have to remove it to get on rides.

Light as a feather, but holds a ton of carp. At one point, I had in it: a sweater, bottle of water, keys, phone, first aid kit, gum, snacks, lipstick, LL's touring plan printout, wallet and Leo's Power Ranger. And I'm pretty sure I could've stuffed more in.

Waterproof. Which places it leaps and bounds ahead of my Vera Bradley bags, especially for summer.

Easily accessible outside pockets that ZIP.

It's only fault is a lack of bottle holders on the outside. I have these great stainless steel water bottles, but I think I can buy neoprene sleeves for them and hook them onto the strap, so problem solved.

FYI, it comes in a bunch of other patterns/colors. Check Macy's and LeSportSac's websites.

Just keep changing the subject Janet.I cant stress that enough:rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

Christmas decorating should start on Black Friday, not before.

Thank you, and radio stations should not start playing CHristmas music before then ::yes::

Rant away...that is what we are here for.

I forgot to tell you all that jimmy has a Science Fair coming up (yes in Kindergarten:confused: ) so we have been working on his project. I am so proud of him...he is so into it. The project is onclassification of dinosaurs and what they eat (ate?). He is so proud of him self, becasue other that some cutting (He cut a couple of dinosaur heads off;) ) he has done the whole project himself. I will have to take a picture of him with his project when it is done to share with you guys!:thumbsup2

I bought it for my trip to DLR in 05-it ripped before the trip was over.

Well, I suppose that's a good thing. :confused3

I guess I am just annoyed that we seem to care so much and they seem indifferent to our efforts. Darn non-emotion showing people.

Apparently they are related to Mitch's sister. :sad2: Mitch feels like he and his sister should have a relationship because his parents have passed away, but after years of trying and no reciprocation, he decided that, for his sanity, he doesn't need her. He'd do anything for her, but cannot have her in his life on a regular basis. He finally has come to the rationalization that even though he loves his sister, he doesn't like her as a person. Not to say that KC shouldn't have a relationship with his parents, but I know exactly what you're going through.

It's this one - the Classic Hobo from LeSportSac. I got it in Peacock and used it Sun. at the MK. It was nearly perfect in every way!
