Wow Jim isn't done until June 23rd and goes back Sept. 1st!:confused:

Our last day is May 28th and we go back on August 12th. So I think it works out to be about the same.

Morning, Fockers.
I was in a really bad mood yesterday. All this moving and stress has really been getting to me. :headache: I did some cleaning out of relationships and it felt good. One of my old friends was rude to me and I called her on it. The old Dawn would have just gotten upset and stewed. Not now. I'm not going to let people bully me- with their silence, with their words... Nope. My life is too busy and too great to waste time on people who aren't great friends.

:hug: Hugs for you, Dawn. We love you! And as long as you and Baylie are happy with the decision, that's all that matters, right? And also congrats on your anniversary! :banana:

True. We go back 8/25, though, so you will be done a month earlier, and back only 2 weeks early. ;)

But don't you get extended vacations during the year? We get three days in October, two weeks in December/January and a week in April. That's it for vacations other than a day here and there.

CE said:
So that took a while to sort out, then he said, "I've never seen a car do this before," if that tells you how the "breaking in" went. :lmao:

He finally got it open, but it took 3 tools - 2 stuck in my car - to do it.

But the spare keys are now back in the house. ;):lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Jess is about to cook our tea, beef chow mein stir fry and then she wants to try and make Nigella Lawsons French Toast doughnuts for dessert!!!

She can cook for me anytime!

We were supposed to go to F&W fest at DCA tomorrow, but looks like rain and you know how Californians are about the rain. :rolleyes1

Yeah, I remember....

Just as I was getting in the van to take my neighbor to pick up her car, my mom called. They are admitting my dad to the hospital. :sad2:

Good thoughts and pixie dust towards Illinois, please. :grouphug:

:hug::hug: You got it, CE!

Our last day is May 28th and we go back on August 12th. So I think it works out to be about the same.
Our last day of school is June 24 and we go back on Sept. 9th this year. It's about the same as you Jodi... we get 1 day in Oct, 2 weeks in Dec/Jan and a week for Spring break, 2 days in Feb, etc.

Yeah, I remember....
:laughing:

It's always cold and rainy... it's got to get at least 68 for us to get rain. And 68 is practically frigid. ;):lmao:

:sad2:

You're on fire today Janet :rotfl2:

I'm here to entertain...plus I was bored at work;)

I'm off to bed, not sure what's up with the girls they even made their sandwiches for school tomorrow, they've never done that :confused: Anyway one less job for me :rotfl2:

They're gonna ask for money ::yes::

Just as I was getting in the van to take my neighbor to pick up her car, my mom called. They are admitting my dad to the hospital. :sad2:

Pixie dust heading your way and to Illinois!:goodvibes

I don't know the details. My mom called me this morning crying about it. That is where she and my dad are from and we have family there. She said that a house in Conway caught on fire - doesn't know if they were burning something in their yard or how the fire started, but the winds were so bad, it spread it. At least that is her version. I'll have to read about it or watch the news.

Ack! Keep us posted!

Yes - we are going to Disney June 7 for a week.

:thumbsup2

Thanks to my Fockers for the support with school and friends. :grouphug: I feel good about the decision. I'm excited and so is Baylie. I can't believe she'll be in 7th grade this fall! :guilty:

That's what we are here for:hug:

======================================================

Evening all. Just cam in from a walk with Jim, Jimmy and the dog. I'm starting to get a complex. Tinkerbelle walks better on the leash for Jimmy than she does for me and Jim:confused3 Jim and Jimmy are in the yard, but they will be coming in soon to get ready for bed. SInce I don't have work tomorrow I will be up a bit later I'm sure. I'll chack back later!:goodvibes

Evening all !!Jo your French Toast Donuts sound yummy!!:thumbsup2
CE hope your Dad is Okay!!:hug:
Mo how are you!:confused:
Today went well with the girls !!:banana:They helped me with a whole lot of filing, went and cashed in a bunch of change for me at one of those change machines !!:cool1:went to pick up and cash a petty cash check and went to Walmart to buy a hairdryer for the group home !!:thumbsup2They said they liked the idea of being paid to shop!!:lmao:They had a blast with one of the consumers who is a total cut up!:rotfl2:
After they left I finished my financials ,all the accounts balanced and I did some other filing and really felt like I had a good day!!:banana::banana:

:lmao: Sounds like The California version of The Garcia's! We were supposed to go to F&W fest at DCA tomorrow, but looks like rain and you know how Californians are about the rain. :rolleyes1

Afraid you'll melt?? What the heck did you do during Faye:confused3

Now Fay was a different story all together. That was fine...it was warm and rainy... that NEVER happens here.

It's always cold and rainy... it's got to get at least 68 for us to get rain. And 68 is practically frigid. ;):lmao:
::yes:: I remember when I went to DL in february with marc. It rained and people scattered! Its a completely empty park after that. Of course its also freezing! rain...weather for the ducks. ::yes::

Just as I was getting in the van to take my neighbor to pick up her car, my mom called. They are admitting my dad to the hospital. :sad2:
:hug: :wizard:
I've been trying this, too, but not working out that well for me. I went in the grocery store yesterday and lettuce and cheese ended up costing me $25.

:lmao: DUDE, what kind of cheese did you buy???

I could spend $25 easy on cheese! Of course i also regularly have at least 7 types of cheese in my fridge at any given time. Chedder, monterey jack, provolone, swiss, mozzarella, parmesean, brie, and sometimes feta.:rotfl: Im a rat what can i say.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wanted to say thank you to everyone for the support.:grouphug: I know i am a little upset about the wedding thing, but never for a minute would i have considered leaving my friend. Even at my younger age i can tell you that i have witnessed friends coming and going. SOme i know i may not see again and thats fine. they were still great friends. Some, like CJ i know i could never be without. I tried being without her, but she was definitely a dear friend that i missed. Something just felt like it was missing without her in my life. I will always stand by her. Even in times we are more seperated i know we will still be friends. I always planned on including her in my wedding no matter what happens or if were not close, because i know well always be in each others lives in some way.:flower3: Anyway. Thank you for all of your opinions and advice. It is definitely comforting.
I have 2 midterms tomorrow and then i get to go home and meet the puppy...oh ya and the bridal shower:rolleyes1 I have a bit of studying to do and some stuff to take care of around the house before tomorrow. Hopefully ill be able to leave straight from work. Today after my first lab ended early, i came home and used my extra hour to clean. I was able to do some laundry, clean the cat box, vacuum, dishes, and make lunch and catch up on the dis.:thumbsup2 now i just have to pack and research a possibly wdw trip. oh...and study:teacher:
see ya later!
CE- hugs for your dad and family.
Thank you. :hug:
Of course! Hope he's better soon, CE! :hug:
Thanks, give Waldo a hug from me, too. :hug:
:lmao: I was going to say that!
Great minds... ;)
But don't you get extended vacations during the year? We get three days in October, two weeks in December/January and a week in April. That's it for vacations other than a day here and there.
We don't get anything in October, and just the 2 days at Thanksgiving. We did not end up with 2 weeks this year at Christmas - we went to school through the 23rd and were back the 2nd. But we get the week in Feb. and the week in April (which I detest, but oh, well...) I mean, it has to be 180 days, right? That's the law. So it all probably works out the same, but I hate the way we get ours. ;)
:hug::hug: You got it, CE!
Thank you. :hug:
Pixie dust heading your way and to Illinois!:goodvibes
I appreciate it. :hug:
CE hope your Dad is Okay!!:hug:
Thanks! I'm glad you had a great day!
That sounds about like mine. I am a bit heavier on the grated mixed cheeses and not so much the yellows, but I have American, lots of mixed, brie, feta, hot habenero, and two kinds of parm right now. :thumbsup2 I LOVE cheese.
now i just have to pack and research a possibly wdw trip. oh...and study:teacher:
see ya later!
Good luck on the exam, and it sounds like you got a lot done today!
******************************************************
I sent D to baseball with the boys, and I multi-tasked by coloring my hair whilst cleaning the office. I'm about halfway done in there. I am still fairly bitter about needing to do it. :lmao:(For those who don't know, stepMIL sleeps on the sofa bed in the office, because the queen-sized bed in my guest room isn't big enough for them to sleep together. :rolleyes:)
We quick showered the boys when they got home, and then we made fruit salad, which is what they both wanted for their birthday treats for school. :confused: Not that I'm complaining about choosing healthy, but it was hard to judge how much, what to send in to serve it, etc. Cupcakes are easy that way. (And I would have bought them. ;) )
So, that's done, and D is walking the dog now. I could probably go back to the office, but I can't believe it's nearly 10:00 already, so I think I'm done for the night. It's just that tomorrow we need to shop for their presents, I still volunteer for a half-hour in the morning, and we need to be at school at 2:00 for a first grade Earth Day assembly.
Also, the crazy, possibly addicted semi-friend's (where we debated an intervention - some of you might remember...) mother passed away, and the visiting hours are tomorrow night.
Then, the two birthday parties on Saturday, and suddenly, even though it's still 3 days away, Sunday seems to be coming awfully fast. :eek:
I just talked to my dad, and he FEELS fine, so he's pretty frustrated with being stuck in the hospital. They have no answers yet. Thanks for thinking of him, everyone. :grouphug: You guys are the best.
:cool1: FRIDAY!!!!!!!
JANET is planning out her crazy time of the year. She’s having BBQ and going to Hershey park. Have fun!
KAT – “If your bro doesn't understand then he's a butt head.” :rotfl2: Might get to visit with her grandparents and a friend next week. Fartin’ around today. She’s gonna party at the grocery Fri night.
CE’s Dad has been admitted to the hospital because his blood work doesn’t look good. :hug: He says he feels fine. Her kids got 2 invites to b-day parties this weekend. She locked herself out of her car. CE, I think the only time you stand still is when you are cleaning.
CEL BEL had pics of the puppy Pg 204, Post #3054. Adorable! Congrats of the mid term. Sorry about the BFF drama. And Congrats on getting to go to WDW! I like the way you think!
JODI says she has to clean her disgusting house.
ROSIE got through some normal interviews. She got a lot accomplished today. I'm glad you had a great day!!
V is still recovering from pulled groin muscles (horse rash). Now you know why cowboys walk the way they do. She is headed to Miami for the weekend. Have a great time!
HEDY is celebrating DSIL’s B-day. 6 months ‘til WDW.
DEB never found her docimeter ring. I guess that means no merit increase for you! J/K
DAWN - “I'm not going to let people bully me- with their silence, with their words... Nope. My life is too busy and too great to waste time on people who aren't great friends.” Hear, hear!!
She has the home inspector tomorrow. Her 13th Wed. Ann is Monday. Happy Anniversary!!!
MIZ DIZ is going to Myrtle Bch in July. DD had her 1st swim class. So cute with all the kisses to you.
JO lost her golf match due to her handicap. Whatever you say, JO. :laughing: She wants everybody to read her August TR. Jess is cooking. French toast donuts sound terrific!
MEL overslept. She was a biking machine this week.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
T says Mo is OK, just super busy! No sun on Fri. She and family will be hiding. :lmao:
I wonder if TE is still chasing goats?
Have a good weekend everyone!!!!
She said that a house in Conway caught on fire - doesn't know if they were burning something in their yard or how the fire started, but the winds were so bad, it spread it.
:eek: I hadn't heard this. Hope your family is ok! :hug:
Thanks to my Fockers for the support with school and friends. :grouphug: I feel good about the decision. I'm excited and so is Baylie. I can't believe she'll be in 7th grade this fall! :guilty:
:hug: I cannot believe someone would questions your decision for your child! I would think you, DH and B can figure out what's best for her.
Tinkerbelle walks better on the leash for Jimmy than she does for me and Jim:confused3
Sounds like a nice little bit of responsibility for Jimmy. :thumbsup2
I have 2 midterms tomorrow
Good luck! :goodvibes
That sounds about like mine. I am a bit heavier on the grated mixed cheeses and not so much the yellows, but I have American, lots of mixed, brie, feta, hot habenero, and two kinds of parm right now. :thumbsup2 I LOVE cheese.
On the Budget Board there was a link for a free subscription to the magazine Melt. As soon as I get it, I'll let you know how it is. :)
I just talked to my dad, and he FEELS fine, so he's pretty frustrated with being stuck in the hospital. They have no answers yet.
How frustrating that the doctors don't know what's wrong. :hug: Glad he feels better though.
Hahaha, i can't believe I only just learnt about this!!!!
I really hope some of you guys are around WDW at the start of October!!! I'll be wearing my LGMH and ready with the lime look!!!!
Hi! Welcome! Another Brit - you'll be able to understand Jo. ;)
I'm CE. :wave2:
********************************************************
I went to bed really early for me last night. I won the fight against the headache, but with all the craziness, I was just exhausted.
D didn't come up until really late, so I got the boys off to school.
Now I'm trying to wake up. I'll need to shower before going to volunteer, then we are ripping off to power shop before the assembly. ;)
They've backed it off to 83 as a high tomorrow, instead of 87. I know it's only 4 degrees cooler, but somehow it sounds MUCH better. :rotfl:I think it's that I'd round 83 down to 80, where I round 87 UP to 90. :rotfl2:
Anyway... Hope everyone has a good day. I will not be around much. I'll try to sneak on and let you know if my dad gets any news. :grouphug:
Doin' a drive-by...
I'm headed to my MIL's with the kids and the dog so the inspector can get his job done today. Then I'm going to come home, chill ALONE :yay:, and get ready for our date tonight.
I can't wait to have some slow down time and alone time today. I need it so badly. :rolleyes:
Angela- Thanks. You wouldn't believe the things people say. I get it from both sides about schooling now. :sad2: I have always had my kids best interest at heart. I don't know why it bothers other people what we choose to do. :confused3
Happy Friday, Fockers!!!! :woohoo:
I just talked to my dad, and he FEELS fine, so he's pretty frustrated with being stuck in the hospital. They have no answers yet. Thanks for thinking of him, everyone. :grouphug: You guys are the best.
Welcome!
Well, Miami probably won't be happening after all. It seems Florida is on fire. The Everglades have about 33,000 acres scorched and I-75 is closed for the second day with no end in sight. There's no other good route across the state, so I doubt I'll make it. Rats. :sad2:
In other news, I didn't know you can only have iTunes going on one computer and just managed to erase every song I'd purchased on my iPhone. Great. :headache:
Happy (?) Friday all! :grouphug:
Have a great day!
V, you should be able to authorize up to 3 computers - do you have it all at home? It should re-sync. :hug:
Check settings within iTunes to authorize another computer. :thumbsup2
YES!!!!! I found it - thank you! :hug: So, in theory, I can load up the music that's on my work computer (read: my entire CD collection) now and then go get the iTunes I bought on my phone through my home computer later (I synched those last night, so they should be there.) Right? :confused:
Good morning!
They are admitting my dad to the hospital. :sad2:
:hug:
She said that a house in Conway caught on fire -
I've heard about this on the news. Myrtle beach is our favorite beach vacation place :love: We were going there first week in June but may cancel if we go to Disney instead.
went to Walmart to buy a hairdryer for the group home
Do you work for a group home? What kind of group home is it? My church sponsors a group home for adults with mental disabilities. We sometimes volunteer to house sit for various reasons.
Funny story: I drive a fullsize 12 passenger van. Once while in the drive thru at our pharmacy the pharmacist asked if I was from the group home :confused: I said no we just have a bunch of kids that are going to send me to the group home one day :rotfl2:
I could spend $25 easy on cheese! Of course i also regularly have at least 7 types of cheese in my fridge at any given time. Chedder, monterey jack, provolone, swiss, mozzarella, parmesean, brie, and sometimes feta.:rotfl: Im a rat what can i say.
ME TOO!! my DH calls me a cheese snob :snooty: because I only like the good stuff.
Good luck on your tests!
I just talked to my dad, and he FEELS fine, so he's pretty frustrated with being stuck in the hospital. They have no answers yet. Thanks for thinking of him, everyone. :grouphug: You guys are the best.
Glad he is feeling better. Sounds like you got a full weekend.
Happy (?) Friday all! :grouphug:
Yikes :scared1: about the fires.
YES!!!!! I found it - thank you!
Glad you figured out the itunes stuff.
DH still hasn't asked his boss about taking off for Disney so I still don't know if we are going in June or October. I checked touringplans crowd index and he changed the June crowd levels from 5-7 to 8s and 9s!! :scared1: I should email Len and tell him to change them back because I liked the 5-7s better.
This is really frustrating because I don't know what I need to be planning for. I've made tentative plans but can't or don't want to finish until I know for certain when we are going.
I may not be around much today. My big boss is on the prowl if you KWIM. today is our co-op's last day so we are taking him out for lunch. Plus I am only workind 2 days next week and really need to do some catching up today.
This weekend is going to be very busy with two tball games, a senior banquet for my friends kids who are graduating, plus usual housework and getting ready for next week.
Sounds like a nice little bit of responsibility for Jimmy. :thumbsup2
Just as I was getting in the van to take my neighbor to pick up her car, my mom called. They are admitting my dad to the hospital.
Oh no CE hope he gets better :hug:
They're hoping to get in on Disney goodies. :rotfl:
No they know they're getting them already :rotfl2:
Sounds easy! I'll have to have Mr Diz make it. I can't seem to ever make breakfast taste good. :confused3.
They really were easy and so delicious!!!
Jo- I'm glad to know Baylie's not the only one who likes to do the cooking.
They can swap recipes on FB :rotfl2:
She can cook for me anytime!
I'll send her over :rotfl:
They're gonna ask for money ::yes::
Maybe but they'll be unlucky :rotfl2:
They said they liked the idea of being paid to shop!!:lmao:
I like that idea too :rotfl2:
I could spend $25 easy on cheese! Of course i also regularly have at least 7 types of cheese in my fridge at any given time. Chedder, monterey jack, provolone, swiss, mozzarella, parmesean, brie, and sometimes feta.:rotfl: Im a rat what can i say.
(For those who don't know, stepMIL sleeps on the sofa bed in the office, because the queen-sized bed in my guest room isn't big enough for them to sleep together. :rolleyes:).
But your beds are huge :rotfl2: So when exactly is the boys Birthday?
Hahaha, i can't believe I only just learnt about this!!!!!
Hi Torsie I live just up the road from you in Kent, stay and chat we're a friendly bunch even if they are all American ;):rotfl2:
So much for the recession :rotfl2:
Now and off to build a new DVD stand after I play a couple of rounds of Bejewelled
So what scores did you get? :rotfl2:
I'm exhausted, yeah I know I won't get any sympathy as it's all because I've been playing golf :rotfl2: Today was a mixed competition, remember the mixed foursomes discussion last year where I play with my partners ball :rolleyes1 Well last year we won the whole thing and today was the first round of this years comp and we won :yay: But I really am tired :rotfl2:
:Hi! Welcome! Another Brit - you'll be able to understand Jo. ;)
