I can be the new board translator as I lived in LA for a bit ;)
It's OK I now have them saying whilst and chucking it down, they're trainee Brits :rotfl2:

Hahaha, I'm sure they're a lot frendlier than us brits if my experience has anything to go by!! Where in Kent do you live? I grew up in Welling, the ghetto of Kent!
I was kidding they're a really lovely bunch, I live near Maidstone and DH works in Sidcup so not too far :thumbsup2 So should we call you Torsie?

I passed T....
;)
Bejewelled? :rotfl2:

I've got CE's Italian beef cooking, it smells good :thumbsup2

I probably wont be on much in the weekend because ill be at my moms house. Have a great friday and a great weekend everyone!

CE- Any word on your dad??

T - How's Waldo??

Yesterday was BAD. When KC came home from jury duty he checked the mail and in it was my disability letter. Can ya guess who didn't get it?!

I was beyond emotional, I'm mad and sad and frustrated all in one, still am. Most of the reasons in the letter were a load of carp and it really upset me. I can appeal, and I plan to, but without insurance and without a lawyer my chances are seeming slim.

So needless to say it was a long night. I didn't sleep too well. Too much in my brain for sleep.

I am really messed up about this. Now today KC & I have to have a long talk about what to do next. I think we are going todo it over some Cold Stone because KC has the free birthday ice cream coupon good until the 27th. Then the shopping tonight. He's still sleeping, it was a late night for him too.

The only good thing to come out of yesterday was I needed to distract myself so I made a new recipe! It came out really good and it's pretty healthy too! The measurements are weird because I halved the recipe for one loaf only.

Cranberry Raisin Honey Oat Bread

1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries (I used 1/2 cup of crasins)
1 cup raisins (I soaked mine in rum first)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 8x4 inch loaf pan.
2. In a medium bowl, stir together flour (I sifted mine first for lighter bread), baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and oats.
3. In a large bowl, mix together honey, vegetable oil, eggs, and milk. Mix in flour mixture until just moistened. Stir in cranberries and raisins. Divide batter into prepared pans equally.
4. Cook for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a tester inserted in the center of the loaves comes out clean. (took me 40 min)

Anyways off for some coffee and to get KC up.

over $200 later and I feel like I got nothing:sad2:
Hi. I KWYM about the $200 for nothing and for the laundry. My afternoon sitter who gets the kids off the bus does a load a day and I still have about 7-10 left on weekends.
:thumbsup2 on the empty grocery strolre

Hi Torsie I live just up the road from you in Kent, stay and chat we're a friendly bunch even if they are all American ;):rotfl2:
:snooty:

where I play with my partners ball :rolleyes1
that's what she said :rotfl2:
Jo, please don't faint but I have to confess something. I have never played golf (unless you want to count putt-putt).

Have a great friday and a great weekend everyone!
You too Sam!

I got our state tax refund. As soon as I get the feds I can pay off another credit card

So............ after chatting with mom Jim and I have been contemplating. What you may ask? We are thinking of skipping WDW next summer :faint: and doing up DLR/CA/SOuthern Cal for 10 -14 days in 2011. Nothing written in stone, but now I need some West Coast FDM!:thumbsup2

We had been thinking about this for a while, but mom infomred me that she and day are going to give up their jobs at WDW in the winter. They have had enough. They still love it, but my dad is going to be 80 in November and my mom is going to be 73 in July. I think they deserve some rest, no?

I was chatting with T about this earlier and she planted a seed too. (Thanks enabler:rolleyes1) I need to talk to mom and dad about getting DVC before they quit so they can get the CM discount on that. Off to do some Fuzzy DIsney Figuring to try and sell them on it:thumbsup2

Haha, awesome!

I was kidding they're a really lovely bunch, I live near Maidstone and DH works in Sidcup so not too far :thumbsup2 So should we call you Torsie?

Cool, not too far at all!

Yes Torsie is what everyone calls me, my real name is Victoria, but my parents don't like Vicky so they've called me Torsie since I was a baby. :)

that's what she said :rotfl2:
Jo, please don't faint but I have to confess something. I have never played golf (unless you want to count putt-putt).
:rotfl2: Oh and BTW I've never played either. The last i heard about golfing around my family was years ago when my mom accidently sold my dads clubs(i think that what theyre called:rotfl:) in a yard sale for $10
He still bring it up now and again.

Oh wait...I do remember playing when i was little. of course i was hitting the ball into a crocodiles mouth and his tail was throwing them back to me...:lmao:
Yesterday was BAD.
 I hope you enjoy your ice cream.
Now i know why your the baker. That recipe looks good!

:thumbsup2 I smell some Fuzzy Math!

Yay! come party in the hydrophobic state!

Good luck with the DVC! I think the discount is like 15% and if they miss the offer, you can always convince the kids to do the college program one day and use them.:rotfl2:

I just finished midterm 1 mammalogy. It was pretty stressful. It was wishy washy in parts. But my next test is at 1 and im pretty sure ill kick butt on it!

Wish me luck. and BTW thanks to those that already did!;)
I think I already did but good luck!

Yesterday was BAD. When KC came home from jury duty he checked the mail and in it was my disability letter. Can ya guess who didn't get it?!
I'm sorry Kat, hope you're able to appeal

that's what she said :rotfl2:
Jo, please don't faint but I have to confess something. I have never played golf (unless you want to count putt-putt).
When I was explaining the competition last year it got a bit silly :rotfl2: And don't worry that you haven't played golf, most of the Fockers haven't but they're used to me boring them about it :rotfl2: Did you know my DH is a PGA golf professional?

And don't forget "tampolining." :rotfl:
Hey don't blame me for that one that was all you and your dirty minds :rotfl:

Sounds good Janet and I definitely think your Mom and Dad deserve to retire!!!

Yes Torsie is what everyone calls me, my real name is Victoria, but my parents don't like Vicky so they've called me Torsie since I was a baby. :)
:thumbsup2

Oh wait...I do remember playing when i was little. of course i was hitting the ball into a crocodiles mouth and his tail was throwing them back to me...:lmao:
:rotfl2:

I just fell asleep for about 30 minutes, I never nap so must have been worn out :rotfl2:

YES!!!!! I found it - thank you! So, in theory, I can load up the music that's on my work computer (read: my entire CD collection) now and then go get the iTunes I bought on my phone through my home computer later (I synched those last night, so they should be there.) Right?

Yep! :thumbsup2

You'll probably just want to be sure you manually manage the music - it's a setting within iTunes when you have your iPhone plugged in, so that you don't "replace all" - you'll want to just add the stuff you bought to your CD collection. :thumbsup2

No word from my parents yet. I was out all day and am leaving again - I'll call mom whilst I'm out. I'm off to the vet (for Frontline) and then the visitation for my friend's mom - then to the dollar store for party favors.

Catch you all later! (I read everything, but no time to quote it all...)

Thats awesome. We want to do DL but flying times 7 is way out of our budget. And driving cross country doesn't sound appealing to me either because we will need at least two weeks vacation to enjoy which we do not have. I hope it works out for you. And yes, 80 is def time to retire and enjoy but get DVC first! So they only worked winters?

Oh wait...I do remember playing when i was little. of course i was hitting the ball into a crocodiles mouth and his tail was throwing them back to me...:lmao:

Good luck on your next test :thumbsup2

Then I must be in good company. I did know your DH was a PGA from your TR. But I'm still having trouble figuring out who he is. Probably because I don't know the sport :rotfl2:

DH was confused on when the payday was. He thought it was today but it is next Friday. Good thing I didn't pay off the CC because he needs some of that money to get through next week.

and he still hasn't asked his boss about june!!!
I just want to point out that I was happy going in October. He is the one that suggested we move it up which to me the sooner you go to Disney the sooner you can go again right? But him making me wait like this is not nice at all. It is 42 days away and I need me some planning therapy.

So... I almost killed a CM at the Disney Store today.
:headache:
I passed T....
;)
You did what??? :headache:

Waldo's fine, thanks Kat. He's ready for surgery on Monday.

I was just trying to save you some money. :teeth: :rolleyes1
Yes Torsie is what everyone calls me, my real name is Victoria, but my parents don't like Vicky so they've called me Torsie since I was a baby. :)
Welcome Torsie! I am Tracy, but they call me "T" here because we've quite a few Tracy's.

Just as I was getting in the van to take my neighbor to pick up her car, my mom called. They are admitting my dad to the hospital. :sad2:
Good thoughts and pixie dust towards Illinois, please.
Of course, CE. Hope things are ok.

Mel- You said Meat Market! *giggle* ;)

Thanks to my Fockers for the support with school and friends. :grouphug: I feel good about the decision. I'm excited and so is Baylie. I can't believe she'll be in 7th grade this fall! :guilty:
Ha! Meat Market!
You don't have to thank us. We just want what you want!

Kristel said:
MEL overslept. She was a biking machine this week.:thumbsup2:

Yep! I was. Strangely, I've been really tired in the mornings....? Hope things are good with you. Did you tell your brother you won't be going to dinner etc?

.........
Hi Angela! How's life?

Hahaha, i can't believe I only just learnt about this!!!!
Hello and :welcome: I'm Mel. I'm from Boston, Massachusetts originally. I live in Michigan now. I have two boys and a great husband, NotBob. (His name's NOT Bob.....) Glad you could join us.

They've backed it off to 83 as a high tomorrow, instead of 87. I know it's only 4 degrees cooler, but somehow it sounds MUCH better. :rotfl:I think it's that I'd round 83 down to 80, where I round 87 UP to 90. :rotfl2:
I do that too! ROFL!!!

CE said:
I'll try to sneak on and let you know if my dad gets any news. :grouphug:
Any news yet?

I can't wait to have some slow down time and alone time today. I need it so badly.
Yep. You do. Have fun. Hug Kirt for me.....LOL

Well, Miami probably won't be happening after all. It seems Florida is on fire. The Everglades have about 33,000 acres scorched and I-75 is closed for the second day with no end in sight. There's no other good route across the state, so I doubt I'll make it. Rats. :sad2:
Sorry about Miami and the Iphone. Bob and the boys have done that a bunch of times. It's such an oversight on the Iphone's part, I think!!! Hope it works out!

This weekend is going to be very busy with two tball games, a senior banquet for my friends kids who are graduating, plus usual housework and getting ready for next week.
Have a great (but busy!) weekend!

Now and off to build a new DVD stand after I play a couple of rounds of Bejewelled
The laundry never ends! Ugh!

Hi Torsie I live just up the road from you in Kent, stay and chat we're a friendly bunch even if they are all American ;):rotfl2:
Don't even listen to her, Torsie! She's barely British herself! She doesn't even drink tea. ROFL LY Jo, MI!!!

Today was a mixed competition, remember the mixed foursomes discussion last year where I play with my partners ball :rolleyes1 Well last year we won the whole thing and today was the first round of this years comp and we won :yay: But I really am tired :rotfl2:
The real question is: Who's ball(s) did you use today?

I passed T....
;)
Did it hurt? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
See, I'm funny too!!!

Hello everyone! I worked at the library this morning until 11 am. It was nice, seeing the kids. I've been away for almost a month with all the stuff that's gone on here!
It's a balmy 80 degrees out. That's NUTSO for Michigan in April. I can't believe it. We're having steaks on the grill tonight. Yum!

The kids have music and a kite festival tomorrow. I'm looking forward to Sunday even though it's going to rain. The race in Talledega is Sunday and I have the whole day to do laundry and chill. The next few weeks are crazy on our schedule. I hate how they crowd every single school event into the last 4 weeks! Makes me nuts.

Hope you guys have a great weekend.
