Kat, I'm so sorry about the hearing.

Good job, Rosie!

Hi, T - what happened at the Disney Store? popcorn::

Janet, it's good for your parents, but yep, get DVC first. ;)

Hi, Mel! It was 77 here today, too!

Dawn, hope you're having fun. ;)

Jo, glad the golf went well! D's birthday is Sunday and the boys turn 7 on Monday. :thumbsup2
**************************************************
Well, I called my mom as soon as I walked out of the house, and she was bringing Dad to the field to do some work. His blood levels evened out, and even though they told him to take it easy, the good weather was too great of a lure, and since he felt fine the whole time, anyway... :confused3

He has a slew of appointments next week to see if they can tell what's going on, but for now, he's fine, which is good, but it's all just weird.

I got the stuff at the vet and went to the visitation - stayed maybe 5 minutes. My friend knew there was no one else there that I knew besides her, so she said, "You should go do stuff." OK... :confused3

So, I got the cake and cookies ordered (Buzz doesn't like cake.) Then I hit the dollar store for goody bags, which was fine. I picked up sandwiches from the pizza place (no one wanted pizza :rotfl:) and we watched Shrek the Third to finish up the series in the last several weeks. D is just putting the kids to bed now.

I'm going to try to finish up the office clean-up tonight. Tomorrow looks to be a little crazed, and I still need to do the "usual" guest clean-up, too - the office is just extra. :lmao:

I have no idea what time they'll turn up on Sunday, so I need to be ready for around a noon arrival, I think. We drive to their house in one day - they usually take 2 1/2 , and get here around noon that third day. I heard a rumor that they might try to do it in just two days, though - which I would imagine would mean a later afternoon arrival as they wouldn't stop as close to us as they do when they give themselves a second night in a hotel on the way. But we'll see if that really happens.

Everyone have a nice evening. Off to clean. Woohoo. :rolleyes1

DDis doing a sleepstudy tonite and I have the kids plus a cousin !! Fun wow!! :eek:Then next month I have to go to 2 appointments with her as a backup support person!!:rolleyes1Oneof the days I wassupposed to be in a Training, this should go over big !!!:scared1:

Hi CE. Hi Rosie! Is anyone else here tonight?

We won our tball game. We decided to stay in though because we have another game in the morning. I had to sort through all the candles (our fundraiser) and now i am exhausted.

Thanks.

 I hope you enjoy your ice cream.
Now i know why your the baker. That recipe looks good!

It was awesome actualyl, I tried a Cold Stone Latte- YUM.

I'm sorry Kat, hope you're able to appeal

I am and I plan to, I'm just frustrated...very very frustrated.

So... I almost killed a CM at the Disney Store today.
:headache:

SAY WHAT?! What happened??? How was F&W?

Kat, I'm so sorry about the hearing.

Well, I called my mom as soon as I walked out of the house, and she was bringing Dad to the field to do some work. His blood levels evened out, and even though they told him to take it easy, the good weather was too great of a lure, and since he felt fine the whole time, anyway... :confused3

I'm glad your dad is doing better!!

******************************
It's late. I lost track of today.

We went to Cold Stone. I had a Raspberry Truffle Mocha Latte. Great stuff. Then I went and applied at the store nearby that I have been trying to get to for a few weeks now, they were luckily still hiring!

Then we did the food shopping. $120 bucks for 2 weeks worth of groceries! We still need to pick up a few things that'll prob cost about $20-$25 bucks more but I think that's pretty darn good! We paid a bunch of bills today too.

After a long talk about the disability I am going to appeal. My biggest issue is not that I didn;t get it, but how I ma supposed to go on acting like I'm not broken in some way. I want validation for this pain I have been in these years. It's hard to think of a life pretending I'm ok, I feel as soon as I do that I'll seriously hurt my back somehow. Also not having a long term plan as far as work goes, really sucks too, and is weighing heavy on me.

Not to mention suddenly the cat won't hold down food.

Thank goodness it's almost midnight and a new day can start.

Night all.

I'm the first posting? Sad... :sad2:

So, i guess you know you've been married a long time and you're getting older when, after dinner you both decide you're too tired to see the movie so you go home to watch t.v. K was asleep by 9:15 and I was out at 10! :lmao:
We really have been so exhasuted, though with all the moving and commuting stuff these past two months. :rotfl:
I tried to sleep more, but I can only sleep 8 hours, so I was up before 7. On a Saturday. When my kids are at Grandma's.

We had a nice meal, though. I enjoyed my cosmos and I even got all crazy and tried a green caramel apple martini. It was good, but the caramel was a bit weird in it. :confused3 I got the lobster, scallops and shrimp with red potatoes and asparagus. It was great. :cloud9: The lobster and srimp fondue in a bread bowl was so amazing too.

All in all, we had a nice time. We tried not to talk about work or house things. We did talk about how my MIL was annoying. :headache:

We went onver there in the morning since we had the inspection and she wasn't excited about A reading a book this week, she was like, "Oh good, I'll go find something for you to read to me." he was like, "No, I can only read my book." Then she said, "Well, that's part of reading. You should know how to read any book." Way to make him feel like he's done a good job, Grandma.

I also told her about B going to school in the fall because I knew the kids were uneasy knowing I wasked them not to talk about it with her. Of course, she was glad and while I'm sure she was trying to be supportive, but saying things like, "Well, she really does need someone who knows what they are doing to teach her algebra." ticked me off. K was annoyed with her too. I just get tired of hearing it. :snooty:

So, now I'm all worked up again. I better go get dressed so I can go pick up my babies from Grandma's. :lovestruc

Happy Saturday!!!

Kat- I'm sorry you're having a hard time.

CE- I'm glad you're Dad seems to feel better. :rolleyes1 He's cracking me up with the wanting to get out in the yard stuff.

Dawn -

Kat -

********************************************************
I've been up since before 8:00, too. The boys woke up about 7:10 (sleeping in a WHOLE 10 minutes ) and often I can send them downstairs and go back to sleep. But, as soon as I woke up, my mind started racing, thinking of all the things to do today, so I just gave up and got up.

I've started some laundry, and done some more "put away" in the office (I finished actually cleaning it last night, but one of my brainstorms was to move some stuff to the basement for a few days...)

The kids are already in a dither about the parties, and then I said they'd have to do something in their room, which started Woody on a rant about how Grandma is annoying because she wants to do things in the house in a way we don't. Believe me, I hear him, but... :rotfl:Probably not something I should encourage. :rolleyes1 ;)

I just wanted to drop in quickly and say hi - let you all know I'm thinking of you. Today will be pretty crazy through about 5:00. My friend who is the mom of the first birthday party invited Woody & me to her house after, whilst Buzz hits his second party. I want to, and it would probably be good for Woody (and it's supposed to be such a nice day!) but then if I do that, am I making myself insane? The other side is that the movie theatre is MUCH closer to her house, so that saves me driving 20 minutes home to do stuff and bring Woody, then 20 minutes back to pick Buzz up afterwards. :confused3

So, I'm trying to get a bunch of stuff done BEFORE we leave for the party, hoping then that I won't feel like I have too much to do tonight. The first party starts at 11:15, so we'll need to leave the house in less than two hours (it's 9:00 now...)

I'd better get to it, then - I need a shower in there as well. ;)

Have a great Saturday, everyone! :grouphug:

Okay, Fockers...
It's time to put your Disney lovin' budget crunching skills to work for a good cause!

A friend asked me to help her with making a terminally ill co-workers dream of going to Disney World become a reality. They want to go in June as soon as school's out.
I found that a stay from 6/10-15 for 2 adults and an 11 year old at the POR with the dining plan would be $2525. no hopping, no water parks, with a water-view room. Their budget is $3000 with plan tickets from Tulsa, OK.

Does anyone know of any disounts out now for that time period? I know we had a few of you going then too. :confused3

I WISH they could stay at the Poly, but it's too much. Any other sugestions? I'm asking if they need meals planned, etc. and offered to help with all the details.

Putting your planning caps on and help me out, okay?

I'm off to get the kids, but I'll check in soon. :surfweb:

Then I must be in good company. I did know your DH was a PGA from your TR. But I'm still having trouble figuring out who he is. Probably because I don't know the sport :rotfl2:
No he's not famous he mainly teaches :rotfl2:

So... I almost killed a CM at the Disney Store today.
:headache:.
How?????

Don't even listen to her, Torsie! She's barely British herself! She doesn't even drink tea. ROFL LY Jo, MI!!!
True but you all still love me :rotfl2:

The real question is: Who's ball(s) did you use today?
Well we started off with mine, brand new too, but he lost that on the 9th hole so we then played with his but we didn't lose his ball :rotfl2:

The kids have music and a kite festival tomorrow.
Sounds fun enjoy!!!

Here I am at Epcot last February!:) It took several months for me to learn how to just do this !!:lmao: But my Fockerfriends stayed with:lovestruc me !!
Rosie yo're doing great you are now living up to your Focker name :thumbsup2

Well, I called my mom as soon as I walked out of the house, and she was bringing Dad to the field to do some work. His blood levels evened out, and even though they told him to take it easy, the good weather was too great of a lure, and since he felt fine the whole time, anyway... :confused3
Sounds good, hope he doesn't do too much though!

We won our tball game.
Wooohooo

I am and I plan to, I'm just frustrated...very very frustrated.
I'm sorry Kat and hope Bale eats soon

So, i guess you know you've been married a long time and you're getting older when, after dinner you both decide you're too tired to see the movie so you go home to watch t.v. K was asleep by 9:15 and I was out at 10! :lmao:
:rotfl2: and what a pain MIL is how dare she say stuff

So, I'm trying to get a bunch of stuff done BEFORE we leave for the party, hoping then that I won't feel like I have too much to do tonight. The first party starts at 11:15, so we'll need to leave the house in less than two hours (it's 9:00 now...)
Wow busy day!!!!

Okay, Fockers...
It's time to put your Disney lovin' budget crunching skills to work for a good cause!

Wish I could help  Have you looked at mousesavers? Budget board? Do they need the DDP?

I've been on this computer far too much today :rotfl2: I was exhausted this morning but this is resting right? :rotfl2: I'm watching Summer Holiday, I can remember watching it as a kid and loving all the Cliff Richard songs :rotfl2:

Morning everyone! Sorry I'm late! :rotfl2: I had stuff to do, shower to take, and Bob and Gus to get MOVING! Gosh they're so slowwwwww on weekends. SD and I are off to music lessons soon. It's almost 80 degrees here already! Whoo Hoo!!!!

CE: Glad your dad felt good enough to get outside. Sunshine and some easy work will probably fix him right up! Keep us updated on his situation though. Don't make yourself nuts. Go to the friend's house, then you can have some sort of alone time before company. :thumbsup2

Kat: Kisses and hugs for you and Bale. :goodvibes

Jo: Ok, good. Glad to hear you didn't lose his ball. :rotfl: You aren't outside WALKING???? Why not!?:laughing:

Dawn: I'll noodle on the budget ideas for the trip while I'm out and about today. Glad you had a good date. And no shame in sleeping if that's what you both needed. I suggested something else though.....:rolleyes1

Debra, Rosie, etc: Have a great weekend!

I'm off for now. Gotta go close up the house and put on the AC. Not that it's terribly hot out but the pollen is INSANE right now and I think I'd better try to minimize the damage. :headache:

MEL:banana:

Well this day gets worse and worse.

Warning- depressing post ahead!

KC is visiting his sick uncle in the home where he is living. He has dementia and isn't doing well. They aren't close at all but it's still not a great situation.

All last night Bale was throwing up. Every like 2 hours. I tried taking food away and he still threw up nothing (or just gross stuff) or dry heaved. I fed him a bit of food at 8am and he seemed to keep it down but still threw up again after. I am waiting now to see if he throws up again in the next half hour and if he does I am calling the vet. Trouble is we don't have the $ to spend on more things for him. That and they close at 3pm and aren't open until Monday, and KC won't be home before 3pm today. He hadn't done his "business" in a day or so too and he finally did a few hours ago, I'm hoping thats what the issue was. I dunno anymore.

Then I got several phone calls from my cousin's husband. Remember the one of FB who was in jail and trying to connect with me. Well her husband just told me she committed suicide last night. I'm not really sure how to feel, I'm sad of course, but with so much else going on its hard to process. He seems to be trying to latch onto me too and I really don't want that to be a problem.

Oh and to top it off I have had 1 hour's sleep in the last 24 hours.

Here's hopin' your days are better than mine. Thanks for letting me vent, it always helps.

Off to the couch to pray for sleep and no more kitty puke.

Kat- I'm so sorry! :hug:It must really hard to handle all of that right now. Try and get some sleep. I hope Bale perks up and feels better. I think I'd take him in after that last bout. :guilty:

Kat:hug: Hope Bale is okay! Get some sleep!
It got back from taking a consumer on a CLEAN UP in Lewiston!I m tired He held the bag I did the picking up! Now I have a break till I go to my regular job!!:rolleyes1 The weather is warm but windy!

Jo: Ok, good. Glad to hear you didn't lose his ball. :rotfl: You aren't outside WALKING???? Why not!?
I've done enough walking this week :rotfl2: Probably about 30 miles

Well this day gets worse and worse.
Oh Kat  I'm not sure what to say about your cousin except I'm sorry  My friend commited suicide 2 years ago and I was so angry with her, you need to feel what you want to  I hope Bale is OK too

It got back from taking a consumer on a CLEAN UP in Lewiston!I m tired He held the bag I did the picking up! Now I have a break till I go to my regular job!!:rolleyes1 The weather is warm but windy!
Have a rest Rosie

David's gone to get the Chinese, we're having duck and pancakes yum!!! I just spoke to my next door neighbour, not the one who has a DD in Ellie's class the other side, they sold their house a few weeks ago and I haven't spoken to them since. Well they've sold it to an old couple so no all night parties or naughty kids :thumbsup2:rotfl2: And they're giving us their lawn mower too :thumbsup2

Well, I called my mom as soon as I walked out of the house, and she was bringing Dad to the field to do some work. His blood levels evened out, and even though they told him to take it easy, the good weather was too great of a lure, and since he felt fine the whole time, anyway... :confused3
Glad to hear he's doing better, CE. :goodvibes Dude, you're BUSY! :faint:

Oh Kat. I can't pretend to know what your pain is like, but I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this. Vent away, my friend.

 for Bale, too!
So, i guess you know you've been married a long time and you're getting older when, after dinner you both decide you're too tired to see the movie so you go home to watch t.v. K was asleep by 9:15 and I was out at 10! :lmao:
We really have been so exhasuted, though with all the moving
:lmao: Sounds so familiar! Sounds like you both had a great night, in spite of it being cut short.

Sorry about the MIL. That's one thing I'm happy about not having to deal with. ;)

I've done enough walking this week :rotfl2: Probably about 30 miles
Wholly crap, Jo! How many trainers do you go through? ;)

Cool on the lawn mower score. Is it for you or David? 'Cause if you tell me you mow lawns, I'm proposing, right now! :rotfl2:;)

********************************************
So I just realized I didn't tell you what happened at the Disney Store... Duh!

Ok, I bought Evan a toy from Disneyshopping.com (Mack truck from the movie Cars) and 5 minutes after we opened it up, it was broken. Evan was devasted so I called Disneyshopping.com and the girl on the phone told me I could take it to any Disney Store and they would replace it for me.
Evan and I head to the Disney Store and we find the toy (they only had 2 left! :eek!) and I tell the CM what had happened. She tells me sure, no problem. She does the paper work and then tells me I need to pay the difference. Como say WHAT??? The website was having a sale and it was $22.95, but the Disney Store price was $29.95. She said she could not give me the new one at the same price. Have you ever heard of such thing? It was defective, I was exchanging it for the SAME EXACT THING!

Well, I had to pull out my ghetto card and went off on her. She was adamant about not giving me the same price. I told her to give it back to me and I would just return it to the website. Then another CM over to see what was going on and she said she would "just give it to me at the same price". That pissed me off. She made it seem like I was trying to get away with something - so I called her a moron. :lmao: Yeah, I know, not a shining moment for me, but it was the most ridiculous thing ever! :headache: Anyway, I got the truck and some other stuff (not for free, of course) and headed out of that stupid store full of morons. Hmmf! :snooty:

Oh, and F&W fest in DCA sucked. :sad2: No food booths - just a wine booth and a beer booth. All the CS places had one "F&W Fest Feature" item, but that was it. I did have some freakin' outta this world chicken raviolli - OMG, it was a party in my mouth! I'll probably go back without the kids just to get my drink on. :teeth:

I took my Brownie troop to see Disneynature's EARTH. They enjoyed it, but save your money... it's Planet Earth (from Discovery Channel) all chopped up and James Earl Jones does the narration v. Sigorney Weaver.

My girls literally used the bathroom during a 90 minute film, no less that 5 times. :sad2: They were driving me bonkers. Oh, and Evan ate his weight in popcorn and then barfed it all back into his popcorn bucket. Nice. I think I need a night out with Andy tonight. **big, heavy sigh**

So, i guess you know you've been married a long time and you're getting older when, after dinner you both decide you're too tired to see the movie so you go home to watch t.v.
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

and  on the MIL issues.

Have a great Saturday, everyone! :grouphug:
Hope you had fun at the birthday parties.

It's time to put your Disney lovin' budget crunching skills to work for a good cause!
I second jo's suggestions: Mousesavers and the budget board. Not much discounts for June though unless they have APs or are FL residents. AAA membership would be worth the discount if nothing else is available.

Debra, Rosie, etc: Have a great weekend!
Hi Mel. Sounds like a busy day. Hope you have a great weekend too.

Well this day gets worse and worse.
OMG Kat. I am so sorry about your cat and your cousin.

Now I have a break till I go to my regular job!!:rolleyes1 The weather is warm but windy!
Hi Rosie!
And they're giving us their lawn mower too :thumbsup2
Awesome :thumbsup2

We had a lazy morning before heading to our tball game. We were losing the first three innings and came back and won in the bottom of the last inning!:cool1::cool1: However, Delta got sick at the end of the game. Zeta took him to the doc in the box and he has strep  So now I am just looking for symptoms in everyone else.
my ExMil and Fil showed up to the game. First time I have seen them in a year (the last time being in court). First time they spoke to me in 4 years! The last time was when they told me i was going to hell and that I ruined my kids lives.

It is a lovely, yet hot day. The kids all played outside on the trampoline (watch it!) with the water sprinkler under it. We call it our rednecked water park. :rotfl: My brother rode his bike over and we got to visit for a while. And I did some Disney planning for our i guess we are going in June trip.

Tonight we have the senior banquet but I am second guessing since Delta is sick and I dont know if I want to take all the kids by myself.

Have a happy Saturday everyone!!

Well just popping in to let you all know what happened. After finding out Bale has pancreatitis(sp?) and some bowel issues that would have made him on steroids forever (with possible side effects) I decided to put him to sleep. The worse part was KC wasn't there. He was on the train on his way home from seeing the sick uncle. The awesome people at the vet waited after hours to see if KC would make it, he didn't. About 4:00pm today I was in the room with Bale when he got the injection. it was super fast, thank god, but really weird and creepy and sad all at once. I'll get his ashes next week sometime.

I'm def NOT ok. 17 years is a logn time to have a cat, he was my first child. SO I am trying to stay distracted, trying to remember to eat and trying to to bawl too much. KC is napping now and then we are going to go out walking just to be out of the house. It's so lonely without him.

anyways just keeping you all updated.

Oh, Kat. I am so, so sorry. Take your time. We're thinking of you.

************************************************
I am reading, but not having time to comment. The movie was pretty funny, I have to say, and Buzz was glad to see it twice. It got up over 94 on my van thermometer, though. :scared1: So much for lowering the forecast to 83. And it's still around 80 now at 10:00 at night!

I got a new roman shade for the downstairs bathroom and installed that after leaving Buzz at the second party. That was good, but then I didn't get the other stuff done that I had planned to do.

I think I'm good now, though. I need to do floors in the morning, but that's about it - and I wouldn't have waited to do that, anyway. D worked really hard outside all day - the yard looks great, and he pressure washed the siding, too. :thumbsup2

Tomorrow is his birthday, and he kept insisting that we shouldn't get him anything because he bought the boat. ;) The boys and I feel weird, though, so we're going to take him to breakfast, and then I think the first time we go boating, we'll get him a little something for the boat or whatever.

I think we're just going to chillax - well, that's inaccurate, as it's still 76 INSIDE my house  - for a while. Have a good night, everyone, and one more  for Kat.
