Morning. What a Monday...

It's T-minus 96 hours until our budget is due - and NO ONE has the faintest idea what cuts might be in it! :sad2:

Never made it to the beach yesterday; Leo was tired, it was windy and we knew the beaches would be packed anyway. :sad1:

My allergies are at their worst; the oaks have amassed literal drifts of yellow stuff all around my condo. I miss breathing.

And neither Leo nor I was any too pleased to be dropping him at school in the freaking DARK. :headache:

Here's hoping it's a much better day for the rest of Fockerville!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

So our cookie booth was a HUGE flop! :headache:
I'm sorry T! I saw a troop selling outside our grocery store and thought of you guys, hoping you were having a great sales day.

Dude. This time change has mucked me up.
Tell me about it! Ugh.
Guess what! 12 days until my trip!
Yay!!! :yay:

I won my golf :yay: So we're through to the next round, it was so windy and my face is the same colour as my sweater, red BTW :rotfl:

Jess is out with a friend and Ellie is upstairs with her friend so everyones happy today, oh and David is starting a fire so that makes him happy :rotfl:

:cheer2:

You're not a bad mommy - you're a good mommy who sets boundaries. ::yes:: And the walking plan sounds great!

Thanks CE. :goodvibes

Hope your feeling better!

:worship: Girl, you ROCK! I actually think you're a GREAT mom for doing that. :thumbsup2

Thanks T. :goodvibes

Sorry about the cookie sales and that it didn't go so well. Good Luck on the other days that you decided to do it. Who knew there was such a stiff competition on getting places. How's Waldo feeling?

Well Mom is now officially educated in all things Star Wars, we just finished watching Episode III. So if she is still clueless come May when we are at Star Wars Weekend it is officially not my fault. :rotfl:

:lmao:

Lori, my mom used to threaten us with leaving the store too. I never remember actually leaving, but the thought apparently was enough to keep us in line.

Thanks Angela. I do have an update on this.

Hi Lori! Yes, it was me. I will post it after this post!
I think it's GREAT that you took the kids home when they were bad. Too many moms threaten but don't follow through!

Thanks Mel. :goodvibes

And thank you so much for the banana bread recipe. I'll be making it today and having my house smell wonderful. :) I made the chocolate zucchini bread last night and it is YUMMY! The kids liked it so I'm hoping Lindsey's class will as well. My kids aren't picky eater though so we'll see how things go.

I have a suggestion for the white shirts... if this does not work... it's over
"BIZ." that Powder laundry soak stuff... I usually double the amount it says for a troublesome pre-treat.
Put the shirts to soak in something in as Hot of water as you can. I have even boiled water... and dissolve the powder then submerge the shirts and let them soak overnight. The wash them in some reg detergent... if the stain are still there.. :sad2:

:thumbsup2 I gotta say the Biz Boil works like a charm.

Booo! Why am I up when it's dark? What a crock. :headache:

That's what Lindsey said when I had to get her up this morning for school.

Sorry you didn't get all you needed done this weekend. But have fun with going back to school.

***************************************************

Morning Fockers!

UGH...this time change is no fun! Lindsey didn't want to get up this morning but at least DR slept in. He just woke up and is laying on the couch trying to wake up. I think he and Lindsey both have allergies hitting them so they are not in the best of moods. LOL

Update on the store: We went last night and I guess my leaving the other day did help them learn. We had just left a family birthday party and stopped there on the way home. I was telling my family what I had done and my aunt talked to them about listening to me. We ended up seeing my aunt in the grocery store and she reminded them again. :rotfl:

Not much planned for us today. Both kids have school and I was planning on walking DR to school but have to see if the rain holds out. Its gotten colder but its not freezing like before. I'll just be happy if the snow stays away. March is always a weird month for us weather wise. One day it could be 60 and the next 20 with snow.

Hope everyone has a good Monday! :cutie:

I won my golf :yay: So we're through to the next round, it was so windy and my face is the same colour as my sweater, red BTW

Congrats, my dear! :goodvibes

I want to know who in their right mind though that WHITE shirts would be good for 5 year olds.

That sounds, um, stupid. ;)

Well Mom is now officially educated in all things Star Wars, we just finished watching Episode III. So if she is still clueless come May when we are at Star Wars Weekend it is officially not my fault.

Oh, good! :rotfl:

CE, Mitch would love a boat too. No idea what we'd do with it so maybe you could just store yours here.

::yes:: there you go!

I was VERY lazy also.....
Hope you are feeling much better now.

Thanks, but not much. My neck is not wanting to turn to the right, still. :headache: My tummy is fine, though.

Hope you guys are enjoying the day. It's POURING buckets outside. Crazy rain. We're under a flood watch!

It rained all night Saturday night here - we were under a flood watch yesterday, too. It was sunny and in the 50's. Sigh.

Right now I know I am eating at In and Out, other than that not sure, well other than 4 beers with T:lmao: Good thing the hotel is walking, or stumbling distance:rotfl2:

Oh, I love In 'n' Out. :lovestruc

Anyways hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather here is getting really nice which makes me happy!

Good weather helps, for sure.

The motha is gone. We survived the weekend!

Woohoo!

I have survived the weekend.... Now I just have to make it to Tomorrow night and I am home free.

Good luck today!

I'm bitter.

And tired.

And in need of ice cream.

Lots of ice cream.

I'm sorry, hon.

Guess what! 12 days until my trip!

Wow, that's exciting!

Morning! :goodvibes

Another drive by...I'm trying to stay caught up but it's not easy!

I hope all is well with everyone!

Good morning!

We leave in two weeks exactly!

Exciting!

Good Morning!!!!
Yep it's me. Your eyes aren't lying. The roofers should be here any minute. I didn't figure I'd be able to sleep. Besides I stretched out in Doug's recliner around 9:30 last night and the next thing I knew it was 11:30. (All recliners seems to have that power.) I hit the hey early.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I'll do an update in a few. I gotta get some bills paid first.

Have a good day!

Morning everyone.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes.

How was Chicago?

My allergies are at their worst; the oaks have amassed literal drifts of yellow stuff all around my condo. I miss breathing.

We don't get that until May or June, but I sympathize, and offer a . I'm sorry.

Good luck with the budget carp.

Man...

So, we went up to the "Lakes Region" to see about marinas and boats. Even though D had checked online, and marinas were saying they'd be open Sundays starting 3/1, we only found one place open, and there wasn't a lot there, used. But it was a pretty day for a drive.

We had told the kids we could have Indian food last night (they wanted it on the way home from skiing on Saturday, but there's no place to get it that we know of in that direction.) It was fantastic!

Then, I had an invite to a Partylite candle party, that I wasn't that enthused about, but was feeling like socializing.

I like candles OK, but the stuff is expensive and I don't have a lot of free flat space to put it.

The salesperson did a drawing where you could win stuff, or get a card that said, "Have a party." She said, "If you win, you will expect me to give you the stuff, so if you get 'have a party', I'll expect you to have a party." Then she said if we didn't want to chance it, we could turn the envelopes in.

I should have turned it in, but almost everyone else did, so I felt bad. D'oh. NEVER feel bad. I got, of course, the party.

I'll do it - it's not a big deal, and I could get a lot of free stuff - but there's not a lot of free stuff that I want. :rotfl:

Oh, well. It's a chance to drink wine. And I do kind of really want an $80 wall-decoration/votive holder for my dining room. I've been eyeing them on Pottery Barn for a while, so... It's fine. And I'll want some more candles for it, and I have a thing that I got from a party years ago that holds pillars and sits inside the fireplace as a decoration for the "non-fire" months, that I never got the pillars for, so I could use those.

But, stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. :rotfl2:

Anyone want anything from Partylite? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

And then the party was at one of the playgroup mom's houses, and I was the only one of the group there, so I didn't even really socialize much. :headache:

Then, of course, after two days of 50's weather, it's snowing like the dickens out there. When I checked yesterday morning, the forecast was for a mix, getting up into the 40's, so no big deal. By the time we got home last night, the forecast had changed to 3-6 inches of snow. I am somewhat surprised there was no delay for school, but then as it's supposed to continue, I suppose they felt it was either cancel or go - delaying wouldn't make sense. D had to leave at 5:00, so I'll be doing the clearing later on.

My neck is still sore, the time change (which I love as far as late light, but hate getting used to, if you KWIM) is in full force, so I may take some Advil and try to rest up before I have to go snowblow and such.

Can you tell I'm a little cranky today? :lmao: :lmao:

Hope everyone has a happy Monday! I'm going to work on a happier attitude! :goodvibes

I'll just be happy if the snow stays away. March is always a weird month for us weather wise. One day it could be 60 and the next 20 with snow.

::yes:: We were typing at the same time, and if you read mine, you'll see that is EXACTLY what happened to me today! :rotfl:

Gotta love March.

CE- I might want something. I do like their candles because they really smell up the place. I was just thinking this morning I wish I had one to light before someone comes over for a showing. You know how they say baking cookies makes your house smell like a warm place? That's what I was thinking. ;)

Funny you should talk about it right after I was thinking it!
:lmao:

I'll see if you can see a catalog on the internet or something. ;)

When do you think you'll have the party? I know there's a pumpkin spice I love love love, but that's too fall-ish for now. I'm thinking a sugar cookie one. I'm sure they have a site. :goodvibes

Good morning!! :teeth:

I'm tired as heck...this time change is yucky!

Just checkin' in real briefly. all around.

Anyone have any advice for a mom with a son who doesn't care about reading? Not a son who isn't ready to read, a son who doesn't want to...
:confused3

I'm so frustrated. All the resources I've found are for younger kids and he's just put off by them. If it's hard work, be doesn't want to do it. The family's comparing him to Camryn and wondering why he's not reading. I am getting crabby and fed up.

Is this something that you think would work for a kid who only knows the sounds of the letters? I guess I could read most of the page outloud and have him do words for himself here and there... :confused3

Sorry if I kill any floss. Here we go.....

Z had to cancel her Disney trip. :sad1:

G-Luv had a visit from the Motha. She's has nothing to rant about. 12 days until her Disney trip.

Lori's kids went nutso in Walmart. She grabbed them and left the store. They were angels after that. She has a kid that actually likes zucchini.

Katt has been very busy. She doin' a lot of fly-bys. Oh and she swears by Biz for the clothes of little boys.

T said Waldo had to go to the ER. He had some 'plumbing' issues. Her cookie booth got shut out by a scheduling problem.:sad2:

Janet's zoo trip got rained out. Yesterday turned into P.J. day. She's helping with a silent auction for school. Jim is sick.

Jo has been eating cake and winning at golf.

Mel partied at some of the local dives. Does your mouth still taste like a dirty ash tray??

V got Leos picks for camp. They suck at mini golf but had fun.

Tig has had his hands full. The project he was working on at work has been scaled back by at least half. :scared1: His wife has been caught up in the scale back at school. She is looking for another teaching job.

Dawn is done with the realtor. She hopes to have the house on the market by Thur.

Kat has had to spend all weekend with a visitor who wouldn't leave. KC's uncle had been there since Thurs. He finally left yesterday. Now she can parade around at her braless leisure.

TE was glad she popped on here. She had forgotten about the DST thing. She's been chatting with goat people about Sugar. I think Sug stopped walking a week ago. I hope she gets better, TE!

CE's ski weekend went well. She had to rent boots because they forgot hers. She was feeling kinda puky yesterday. They went to check out boats but not many places were open. She went to a candle party that needed more wine.:lmao:

Mrs TK wants to start a petition to stop DST. I don't think she'd have too much trouble getting some signatures here.

Mo is dealing with fibro flare. Planning her Cali. trip with T's help.

Rosie's ke board is un er war any. So she's happy. She's been having internet problems too.

Lessa says her mother is a Jedi now. I still think you ought to let us send her some trivia questions.

Angie went to a Braves game. They won. She has been packing.
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

I love the smell of my apple pie candle. I buy these soybean ones from Molly's candles. They are cheap and burn forever. I've tried some of the expensive ones. They are great. But not any better than what I get.

They are pounding away on the roof as we speak. I hope they get done before I have to leave for town. My appt. for the taxes is at 2 PM. I'll be leaving at 1.

I noticed they haven't posted the park hours for Sept. yet. I think they will be the same as last year. I just want to check before I make my final decisions.

It was the one book that peaked DS9's interest when he was around 6.

They probably won't be up until June now that they have switched to the 90 day rule.

Well that sux. I want to start my PTR. I don't like to change things a lot like some people. :rolleyes1

Kristel I love reading your recapsand as Lessa said Disney are posting the park hours 3 months in advance, so the June ones came out at the start of March!!!

Went for a nice walk today and then just chilled this afternoon :goodvibes
