Sorry if I kill any floss. Here we go.....No floss died in the making of this response.
Z had to cancel her Disney trip. Sorry Z!
G-Luv had a visit from the Motha. She's has nothing to rant about. 12 days until her Disney trip. Glad you survived it Jen! The time change is throwing our family for a loop as well. Another few days and it should settle in, I hope...
Lori's kids went nutso in Walmart. She grabbed them and left the store. They were angels after that. She has a kid that actually likes zucchini. WTG Lori!
Katt has been very busy. She doin' a lot of fly-bys. Oh and she swears by Biz for the clothes of little boys. Hi Katt!
T said Waldo had to go to the ER. He had some 'plumbing' issues. Her cookie booth got shut out by a scheduling problem. Sorry about the cookie booth. If I could only get rid of all the ones in my kitchten, I'd be doing a bit better.
Janet's zoo trip got rained out. Yesterday turned into P.J. day. She's helping with a silent auction for school. Jim is sick. Hope all are feeling better.
Jo has been eating cake and winning at golf. Hey Jo! Yup, babysitting class. DD11 is now certified via a class from this organization - www.safesitter.org.
Mel partied at some of the local dives. Does your mouth still taste like a dirty ash tray?? I think we already compared notes on our happy hours over the weekend.
V got Leos picks for camp. They suck at mini golf but had fun. We're pretty much the same on the whole putt-putt experience.
Tig has had his hands full. The project he was working on at work has been scaled back by at least half. His wife has been caught up in the scale back at school. She is looking for another teaching job. Jenny's been busy sending resumes, so we're keeping our fingers, and toes, crossed. Thankfully, her current contract runs through the end of August, so she has some time for the search. I've still got to give the student we interviewed at work the bad news. I hate to do it, but I'm not going to have a choice. It didn't happen today, but more on that below.
Dawn is done with the realtor. She hopes to have the house on the market by Thur.Good luck with the house sale. On the reading question, you may want to try the local comic book store. DC and Marvel have some series out for young readers. When DS wasn't too interested in reading, we made a few trips to the comic book store and picked out some comic books for him to read with me and Jenny.
Kat has had to spend all weekend with a visitor who wouldn't leave. KC's uncle had been there since Thurs. He finally left yesterday. Now she can parade around at her braless leisure. Glad you have your home to yourself again.
TE was glad she popped on here. She had forgotten about the DST thing. She's been chatting with goat people about Sugar. I think Sug stopped walking a week ago. I hope she gets better, TE!Ditto! Hope Sugar's doing better!
CE's ski weekend went well. She had to rent boots because they forgot hers. She was feeling kinda puky yesterday. They went to check out boats but not many places were open. She went to a candle party that needed more wine. Hope you are doing better. Sorry to hear about the new snow storm.
Mrs TK wants to start a petition to stop DST. I don't think she'd have too much trouble getting some signatures here. Where do I sign?
Mo is dealing with fibro flare. Planning her Cali. trip with T's help. Hope the flare has died down some. Have fun at DLR.
Rosie's ke board is un er war any. So she's happy. She's been having internet problems too. Hope the new keyboard arrives in a hurry.
Lessa says her mother is a Jedi now. I still think you ought to let us send her some trivia questions. These are not the droids you are looking for. We've never made it to the Star Wars weekends, and given that both Jenny and I are big Star Wars people, it's a bit of a shame. It's not going to happen this year or next; maybe sometime after that...
Angie went to a Braves game. They won. She has been packing.Give DS6 a few more years and I think we may have to do a father-son trip for a pre-season game (and ESPN weekend if I can swing it right).

They are pounding away on the roof as we speak. I hope they get done before I have to leave for town. My appt. for the taxes is at 2 PM. I'll be leaving at 1.
I noticed they haven't posted the park hours for Sept. yet. I think they will be the same as last year. I just want to check before I make my final decisions.
I've got my appointment Thursday morning, and I'm not ready for it. We'll have to do some organizing tomorrow night, so I'll be ready. It really sucks about the delay in hours posting. We're also a bit upset over the 90-day ADR window.
I just wrote BBB re a scam I received !!! Called the company ad when I said I didn't blieve it they hung up!!!!MMMMM!!!!
I think we'll see more of this as the economy worsens.
i tried to make coffee this am , and water started pouring out of the bottom of the pot!!

i have no clue how it got a hole in it! so , i'm coffeeless!
Oh no!

How did you survive?
Online check in for my cruise is complete!

I hope y'all have a blast on it! I think we're gonna pass on cruises for a while. The kids enjoyed the one last April, but I think WDW would be a better fit for the next several years.
OMG! I just experienced the attack of the demon toilet!
I'm glad y'all survived the experience.
These aren't as good as I'd like but the middle of the afternoon is not a good time for picture taking.
See the Mickey head?
I love it!

As I said, DS and I will have to make a trip in the next few years.
Yes, it seems like it finally is starting to taper off, but it's still coming. There has to be at least 5 inches out there. I am waiting until the city plow comes through again to snowblow. The kids were about 20 minutes late on the bus coming home, too.
I really hope this is the last storm for you this year!
Once dinner is over it will be bathtime and get some Benydryl for nite nite time. Thank goodness!
So, Lori is the Benydryl for you or the kids? I sometimes wonder whether I should take it or give it to the kids...
Hi Mo!
Hi Mel!

I thought I hit a quote of yours, but somehow it's not here...
---------------------------------------------------
It's been an exciting couple of days.
Yesterday we had the Purim Carnival. Tonight is the actual begining of the Purim holiday, but we did not make it to tonight's activities as I'll explain below. As background, Purim is holiday commemerating the downfall of a tyrant bent on genocide through the activities of an unlikely hero and heroine. It's a pretty upbeat holiday. Kids dress in costumes; people put on comedies and parodies. The tradition is to drink to the point where you cannot distinguish the hero from the villain of the story.
So, I was in charge of coordinating the preparation and serving of lunches to about 250 people at the carnival. That went fairly well. We did eventually run out of hot dogs, so we had to upgrade the last few to chicken lunches. The girls came home with some interesting colors and glitter in their hair and some face painting. Jenny took over at the end and helped with clean-up, so I could run with DS to his cub scout meeting that afternoon.
We visited a fire station with his cub scout den. The tour started with a good fire safety presentation by one of the fire fighters. This particular station also had a fire fighting museum. They had a vintage engine from the 50s.
The day ended well and everyone got to sleep at a fairly reasonable hour. Today started out well. Everyone safely off to work and school. I got a call at around 10 to come pick up DD11. Apparently, the fifth grade was having a rash of hair lice. DD11 was one of those identified. I'm not sure she really did given the glitter and colored paint from yesterday's carnival. But, it's not something to take chances with. So, I spent a good portion of the rest of the day picking up the right supplies to do kill the lice, and we did the first treatment. We've got to repeat the treatment two more times over the next two weeks. We've also been tracking down linen, stuffed animals, clothes, etc. and doing lots of

. Speaking of which, I think it's time to switch the loads, and I think I'll go join Jenny and the girls for a bit while they watch Dancing with the Stars...
I'm looking for a better day tomorrow!

Have a good night everyone!
