Well I had an exciting evening !!!!! Spent it at the ER with Steph who horsing around with Kyle fell on or off the table (not sure which) and hurt her knee ! We really thought it was broken but it was just a contusion !! She's in a lot of pain and hobbling around ! Is having a fit cuz they gave her an Elevator pass and she doesn't want to use it !! The way she's limping Class would be over before she made it up th stairs!!! Kids !!!!

Well, as it turns out, rumors of my death have been overstated....LOL.

The internet was down all day yesterday. Upon calling Comcast we were told that it could be 3 days before they repaired it and got it working again. So, imagine my surprise when Bob fixed it for me at midnight last night!!!

He called them from work and they figured it out, apparently....

Thanks to Dawn for passing the message though! And yes, Dr. Seigle says that I'm good for now! The pressure was 17, which is GOOD!!!

I am off to the gym after I drop Gus off at school. I'll be home by 11 though. See you peeps then!

hi everyone! i've been working past 2 days, so didn't have time to check in . hope all is well with everyone.



well, i know we just moved , but i'm really thinking about moving to fl in 2 yrs. we could pay off our debt and be debt free. woo whooo! my husband' s job is great, but we don't like it here at all. don't say anything about it on fb though. my mom is on there and i don't want to hurt her feelings. so, i'm going to concentrate on paying off bills. i've already picked angela's brain (thank you angela). we're thinking of either orlando or tampa. i've researched and oralndo area has some great schools north in seminole county. houses are reasonable. now , i have to get some input from v! i know you all probably think i'm crazy , but i've dreamed of florida for the last 10yrs. if i can get all my bills paid we will be in a good place financially to do it. you only live once so i figure we should just go for it.

Ya know we have been talking about it too! It would take at least a year until we would be able to. We are also working on paying off bills first. Also KC needs to learn to drive first so I don't have to shuttle him around. It's jkust talk right now but I understand where you are coming from!

I knew I shouldn't have said anything about enjoying a nice, normal week. Last night Kirt came home and told me all the people who are losing their jobs, including his old boss, his 2 daughters, and his SIL are all being fired tomorrow. Kirt will have to work there starting Friday. So, lots of commuting. That's not that big of a deal, but I'm really pissed that his company won't give him a letter stating they will buy our house. Without that, our builder won't start on our house.
He wants us to list our house ASAP, sell it for less than it's worth on the market, then he'll pay us the difference. I don't know if I can trust him to do that, so I'm nervous. Also- I'm so mad that I may lose my lot and we'll have to find a place to live while they build. I'm too stressed and mad to even go into more detail.

Needless to say, I'm packing like a mad woman today. We're hoping to have the house ready by Monday to list. Kirt's going to take off tomorrow so he can get stuff done too.

Morning! Check this out... so Leo's friend's mother called me yesterday (remember, I sent her a note about Leo wanting to get together with J?) and I'm not sure what to make of it. Let me put it this way: if it were a guy calling, I'd have said to myself "Okay, he's 'just not that into me'" and have been done with it, lol! She started off telling me that they're a very busy family so it's really hard to make any plans. Then went on to say that J has sports Sat. mornings, but maybe they'd be able to stick around the park and play after that - I should give them a call some Sat. afternoon and we'll see, because (again) they don't make plans in advance.



I feel like I got the brush-off! She was nice, don't get me wrong, but clearly not eager to go out of her way to make anything happen, y'know? And in MY family, we have to plan. Doesn't have to be days in advance, but I'm not going to hang around all day on the few Saturdays I get with Leo, wondering of J might be available that day.

When did it all get so complicated??? Making friends and doing things with them just seemed so much easier when I was a kid.

Thats just weird. I didn't know people who had kids could live life unplanned!? I plan everything and I don't even have kids yet!

This has not been my week for sleep. I feel asleep late and woke up early. BUT I have been reading a good book- "Good in Bed" By Jennifer Weiner.

NOTHING going on today at all. Luckily the weather is looking up so it's helping my meh mood some.

Poor Kc didn't get home from work until after midnight yesterday and went back in at 10 this morning! He's gonna be a bowl of fun when he gets home later!

Anywho...off to update my TR and play some Animal Crossing to kill the time!

Well, we lost this match, but it was darn close. The first set, we lost 6-2, but in those 8 games, I think we went to deuce at least 6 times (that's good, btw.) So, it was closer than it looked, and then we were at 4-5 in the second set when the timer went off. The club we played at today only gives us 1.5 hours on the court, rather than the 2 hours we get at home and the other away place. So, since they weren't winning by 2 games, we had to play a one-point set-deciding tie-breaker, and we lost, but it was good playing and I don't mind too much.

I just got home about 45 minutes ago, and the boys will be home in about an hour, when we will whisk off to their yoga class.

I'm going to try to read another couple of my amazon.com samples, so I'll check in later. D isn't home until after dinner, and he's flying with a young, single guy who lives in our town, and he's just informed me that they will probably stop at a bar on the way home. So, I likely have all evening to catch up.

This is insane!!!!!

We've been tossing around ideas at work for getting our name out to wider audiences without cost and the idea of blogging or using a social utility like FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. seems to be top on the list. Fair enough; I agree that FB (the only one with which I have any experience) might get us into a younger business sector.

Here's the crazy part: my boss wants to REQUIRE all employees to join FB and connect to our work page to spread the word! I explained that I do not want my work and personal lives combined - that I haven't seen some of my FB friends in 30 years, (let alone EVER, lol!), and they don't need to know about where I work. It was suggested that I'd have to create a secondary account just for work. Great - now my name would be out there twice and people looking for me personally wouldn't know which is which, plus how would a second account do anything to spread the word if I don't add any friends to it?!?!

David - is this even legal????

My day went fairly well. We won our match! It started off badly, losing 0-6 in the first set, but then we won the 2nd set 7-5, and in our league we play a "first to 10 (by 2)" tiebreak rather than a 3rd set, and we ended up winning that one 15-13. Tomorrow's against the really good team, though, so I still don't have my hopes up.

Talking of FB be careful about the notes, I was reading something about seemingly innocent notes asking for Mothers Maiden names, place of birth, childhood pets could easily be used for identity theft. I filled in the one about first born then deleted it the next day as I suddenly realised that someone would know Jess's DOB, place of birth, full name, my name etc etc and could do something not nice. Sorry to be a downer but just think



Played golf yet again today, it was the quarter finals of the 4 ball thing I'm playing. It rained all night so trolley's were banned So I had to carry and the course was sooooo hilly. We also lost by loads, I think I used all my good golf up yesterday My eyes are now horrendous and I'm going to make an appointment to see the Dr tomorrow!

Both kids had school today and I enjoyed my quiet time in the afternoon. Cleaned the family room and kitchen. Did a couple of loads of laundry. DR's taking a nap right now but I need to wake him up once dinner is ready. I'm making Italian sausage with green peppers & onions and it smels so good in here! Linds and I made some pancakes once she got home so the kids could have them for breakfast in the morning. She had fun with it.

That's about it for me. Linds wants to play on the computer and I need to get the noodles started.

I would have a problem with this, too. I haven't read the entire article Jo posted, but it mentions setting your friends into groups and you can set privacy settings on each group. I don't know if that would help you out.
