I would have a problem with this, too. I haven't read the entire article Jo posted, but it mentions setting your friends into groups and you can set privacy settings on each group. I don't know if that would help you out.

I got that postcard in the mail too, I didn't mention it because I can't use it and it made me sad.

KC is STILL at work....he went in at 10am....I am not thrilled and left him a sink full of dishes to do because I did my nails today and I'm not ruining them. I can appreciate wanting to work hard and getting things done but he's gone ALL day Mon, Tues and Wed and it's getting on my nerves!!!

I prob won't be around much tomorrow as we are hoping tog et to the city early and do a little shopping before going to meet up with everyone and seeing Watchmen.

Evening all just home from another 12 hour day! I had Defensive Driving Class today. It is mandatory for us!! Good thing is we get it paid for and we get paid On top of tha we get 10% off car insurance !!!

This IS insane. But that article that Jo posted - I read it a few days ago and have now separated my friends. You all can see everything, but D's mom, aunts, my mom's friends who've friended me, etc. may not see it all, if you KWIM. It might be harder to do if you're supposed to post specifically about work, but yeah... It could be the way to go if you wind up having to do it. I'm so sorry, though.

Played golf yet again today, it was the quarter finals of the 4 ball thing I'm playing. It rained all night so trolley's were banned So I had to carry and the course was sooooo hilly. We also lost by loads, I think I used all my good golf up yesterday My eyes are now horrendous and I'm going to make an appointment to see the Dr tomorrow!

I'm sorry you a) had to carry clubs; b) lost; and c) can't see. I keep trying to tell my optometrist that I can't see, but he says I've just probably gone from 20/10 to 20/20 and he won't correct it.

D called and he just landed, but he is going to go out for a bit. The bar closes at 11:00, so it's not a wild night.

I have to get the trash out. Grrr. We weren't here last week, so we have that, but the week before was the last nasty snowfall, so I chose - because the pickup is usually around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday - NOT to put the cans out where they'd be in the way of the city plows and so forth. For the second Thursday snowstorm in a row, though, when it snows, somehow the d$@# guy comes sometime before 7:30. Why he'd come early when it is nasty out is beyond me, but the upshot is that I have 3 weeks of trash here, because I hauled it out 2 weeks ago, only to see that my neighbor's was already gone. There's actually not that much actual TRASH, because I am a recycling nut, but I am going to have to carry out rather a ton of cardboard, cans, office paper, etc.

Oh, but guess what???

I just finished my reviews! I got an e-mail this morning that the Kindles are in stock and will ship very soon after the deadline, which is Sunday.

OK, I am going to get the trash out, then probably go take a bath. I am sore, and still have my fun class tomorrow morning to get through.

Ok I did not feel refreshed after my last vacation. I was looking forward to Girls Weekend and can't go. School is just kicking my butt this term. I said to heck with it and for my birthday I am spending the night in Chicago. I got a killer room deal for only $99. I can ride the South Shore train in to the city for $9 and park my car for $8. This sounds like a reasonable birthday gift to myself. I will leave this Sat and come back on Sunday an whole new woman. I told Nana she needs to watch Bug. She said she will do that at the hotel pool. I just need to find a cool place to have dinner on Sat and a cheap place to have lunch on Sunday. I also found out the garden show is going to be starting this Sat.

School will be out on March 20 and when I enrolled for next term I was handed a packet of papers. It was my graduation information. Ya me! I finally will have my first degree.

I hope all is going well for everyone. If any one can tell me anything about how the South Shore trains run and what they are like on the inside that would be great. It seems someone here took a trip to Chicago on them and that was how I knew about them. Also food and activity ideas for the kids would be great. Thanks ladies.

Morning everyone! Busy Mel today!

I am going to the gym, then home to clean the house. Tomorrow the H.S. has a half day (for exams) so I am working at the library in the morning and then picking up SD at 11. No time for cleaning with that schedule!

I went to bed at 9:30 last night. I was so tired. Don't know why but suddenly i was exhuasted! Feeling much better this morning though.

It just bugs me that for over a year, it was always 10:30-11:00. It was no problem to walk it out when I put the boys on the bus. (The summer, it was often earlier, and I did always take it out before, but I think they are trying to avoid the school buses.) Suddenly, anytime that it is crappy out on Wed. night and the plows will be through, THOSE are the 7:00 days.

He hasn't been here yet, though, of course, and it's 7:25.

I'm excited about my fun class.

I have an electric trolley which is like the little push along ones but you don't have to push/pull Glad I could help on FB!

I went to the Dr and she just gave me a prescription for some anti histamine pills and eye drops, not sure if I'll get them as you can often buy the same stuff way cheaper than the cost of the prescription so I'll have to see. I also said about the apple allergy and she said yeah people do get allergic to stuff Anyway my eyes are so much better, maybe because I'm not playing golf today will have to see how they are this evening!

Sounds like a wonderful birthday plan! I'm not any help as I've only driven through Chicago but have never stayed. I would definately say take the train because driving around and in Chicago is no fun! And congrats on the graduation papers! Your so close!

I put him to bed, watched the news & weather and then hit the hay. It was nice to get that sleep, especially when my cat decided to give me a 6 AM wake up call. I don't have to be up until 6:45 with the kids. No idea what her problem was but she kept walking all over me and meowing.

Just got back from dropping Lindsey off. DR is still asleep so I get a few more minutes of peace and quiet.

DR and I have to head to Walmart this afternoon. Linds has a doctors appointment for a re-check. She had an ear infection and really bad cough from her sick week and was on antibiotics. She seems to be over it although she was saying her other ear hurt her now. Lindsey is 6 years old and this was her first ear infection ever. Can you believe that? I'm just very surprised since DR seems to get one just about every winter. He didn't get one this time around though.

Never seen those before. I guess I'm just used to seeing golf carts. Are most of your couses flat or hilly? It seems like all the good ones around us are hilly and a golf cart really is a must.

I saw that article myself a few days ago. Sometimes I have actually just selected people who would be allowed to read "notes" and some notes I have not replied and did at all.. just because of the nature of the "Note".

And what was the thing about any pictures and videos, stuff said is Facebook property or something like that and even if you delete it.. they still have it , own it and somehow one day it could come back and haunt you ??

They are not supposed to come up streets here till AFTER the kids , especially the small ones catch the bus.. but sometimes they roll through right around 7:30 instead of after 8:30. Yup I've made the PJ TRASH DASH a few times myself. They make two passes here up each side of the street so IF you Miss your side you can catch the other if you are quick enough

You are lucky it's the first.. but it does not make it hurt less. You know that heat will ease the pain right ?? And for the cough... do you have a Warm mist Vaporizer and some Vick's stuff you pour in the water ?? It can help that cough.

Got to do some house work today.. we have a home inspector coming as we are refinancing and taking a little of our cash equity.. to pay our Taxes and pay off our only credit card debt.
I know they don't care about what the house "LOOKS LIKE" they are just making sure the house will appraise for the Amount of the loan. Uh yeah I think we can swing a 105,000 house value .. tax assessment is around 155,000 and houses around her sell for 160,000-180,000.

Yep, I can vouch for that. My allergies have changed a lot over teh eyars. Wasn't allergic to dogs as a kid - now they bring on an asthma attack. Was horribly allergic to crab as a kid - not as much now. My most recent new allergy is to eggs; that one stinks!

So, with many, many thanks to Jo, I've got my work/personal FB issues fixed, I think! I alreayd had my Friends sorted into groups, so I just added a "Work" group and gave it virtually no rights to anything on my FB page. In theory, I should now be able to be an administer for our work page (when we get one!) and network with people there without them seeing anything personal. I feel MUCH better about the situation now. PHEW!

In other news... summer camp info. is trickling in and it looks like we'll have our choice fo times for Horse Camp this summer. Yay! Wish I could go, too.

Spring appears ready to grace us down here at last... forecasting 80s by next week! WDW is calling me....
