Snow, snow, snow!!! we`ve got lots of it! I got alot of beautiful birds on my deck today eating my birdseed wreath. bright red cardinals, blue jays, a pretty one with a red head and striped wings. woodpecker? I should`ve taken pictures, but didnt want to scare them away.

In good news I was looking at flights out to British Columbia for the summer and I found one that is a bargain at $560! You are all probably thinking that is not much of a bargain but when plane fare from Toronto to BC usually runs $800 that is a bargain!

Busy day!

The big meeting yesterday was fine... no drama because we were all afraid to really say much of anything. First attempt at budget cuts comes Mar. 13 (yes, Friday the 13th - how appropriate), so I'll have some idea what's happening soon.

Allegiant Air has some 19.00 one way fares Flying from our local puddle jump airport. And even with all the taxes and what not... We come in around 100.00 per person round trip.

Played a golf match today and I shot 7 over par That is 5 under my current handicap And I missed a 2 foot putt and onlyjust missed several others! BTW Women start golf with a handicap of 36 and Pros play off of 0, well I cut my handicap today and it's now 11.1 (was 12.1)


We've been to Jessica's parents evening tonight and all her teachers think she's great which is always nice to hear, her History teacher especially thinks she's wonderful, I hated History but Jess loves it There again her teacher was rather nice, maybe I'd like History too

I have yet another match tomorrow, that will be my 6th day in a row playing golf

Interesting factoid...Bobby Jindal took his name from The Brady Bunch. Apparently he watched it all the time as a kid and he related most to Bobby.

It's still super chilly here so soccer practice has been canceled for both boys. Seems our blood is a little too thin for soccer in 30 degree weather.

Didn't do much today...some laundry and cleaning, and a quick run to the library. I've got book club tonight. I hope everyone has a great evening.

Is that pier still there? I remember going there several years ago when my Uncle lived in Gulfport!

I just saw they have new updates for rehabs. I was really nervous when I saw that Buzz would be down, but it's this week, not while we're there. Thank goodness! That's our favorite at MK.

I had planned on doing nothing today except for Lindsey's doctor appointment but ended up going to the store and Target before hand, picked up Linds, took her to the docs, and am now home getting ready to cook dinner. I'm doing a taco casserole. YUM!

Yep it is to see my dad and grandma. The reason that airfare in Canada is so expensive is because there are only two airlines really, Westjet and Air Canada. With only two they don't really need to be reasonable with their prices. If my dad lived closer to the border I would just fly from Syracuse to Seattle but he is a 10 hour drive from Seattle and then adding on the cost of a rental car would make it the same price as just flying there directly. What a pain.

Good thing is that Dad said he will pay half of our airfare cost so it shouldn't be too expensive for us to go out for a week.

Janet - Sorry to hear about the work situation, it is no fun working with something like that looming around the corner.

This week stinks. Not having anything real to do until Thursday. Thursday we are going to eat at brother Jimmy's and see a midnight showing of Watchmen. KC talked me into it. It's him and any people from work he can get. I'm only going because Fri he is going to see Avenue Q with Pants so I am stuck home alone.

I made BBQ chicken legs and some black beans & rice for dinner. and my carrot cake came out looking good.

I'm just bored really....off to watch some TV.

My day went fairly well. We won our match! It started off badly, losing 0-6 in the first set, but then we won the 2nd set 7-5, and in our league we play a "first to 10 (by 2)" tiebreak rather than a 3rd set, and we ended up winning that one 15-13. Tomorrow's against the really good team, though, so I still don't have my hopes up.

Then, D decided he would pick up the boys and bring them over, so I didn't have to do the mad dash to school and back to the gym. But when he brought them over, turns out that because several of the schools around here have turned to adding 15-20 minutes to the school day to try to make back some of the snow days, they've moved our class back by a half hour, and we ended up being there for a long time.

We ate at the gym, and then I took Buzz to the dentist and D took Woody home. Buzz's tooth is OK, but they really want it out. She used numbing gel and tried to just pull it manually, but it was still a little too attached. We're to call if it isn't out by Friday.

I'm down to 6 excerpts to read for the amazon.com thing, too!

I think we'll either try to catch up on more TV or I may try to finish the reviewing, so I hope everyone has a great night!

Well I had an exciting evening !!!!! Spent it at the ER with Steph who horsing around with Kyle fell on or off the table (not sure which) and hurt her knee ! We really thought it was broken but it was just a contusion !! She's in a lot of pain and hobbling around ! Is having a fit cuz they gave her an Elevator pass and she doesn't want to use it !! The way she's limping Class would be over before she made it up th stairs!!! Kids !!!!

My kids are off to school. I have to leave in a little less than an hour for my match - we are meeting and driving to it together. I am trying to decide if I should shower this morning or wait until after. People put on makeup and jewelry and all for these things (which strikes me as odd) so I probably should. I also need to quick shop-vac the van, in case I end up driving.

Oh, some good news! We did finally get the state tax money back from the 2007 taxes! Hopefully, then, this year's will go much easier.

Well, as it turns out, rumors of my death have been overstated....LOL.

The internet was down all day yesterday. Upon calling Comcast we were told that it could be 3 days before they repaired it and got it working again. So, imagine my surprise when Bob fixed it for me at midnight last night!!!

He called them from work and they figured it out, apparently....

Thanks to Dawn for passing the message though! And yes, Dr. Seigle says that I'm good for now! The pressure was 17, which is GOOD!!!

I am off to the gym after I drop Gus off at school. I'll be home by 11 though. See you peeps then!
