Ok, here is our hourly SD report! Ha!

He made it through the whole day without visiting the office or the social worker. He went to all his classes and then stayed after for 30 mins to finish what he missed the last two days. I got emails from all but his history teacher and they were all so nice. They said that they talked with him, enjoyed having him in class and that he was completely caught up! He even felt good enough to verbally spar with the history teacher on a point he made. I said, yeah great now you're the kid who doesn't show up AND argues!

He is feeling very positive about today! He DID have a half of one of the valiums this morning before school, but that is a 1/4 dose and it wore off around lunchtime. He said he felt a bit anxious during the end of lunch (probably about the time it wore off) but he calmed himself!!!!

It's not over, but at least he had ONE good day and a weekend to prepare for Monday. AND the teachers were great!!!

We've got a sitter coming tonight so that we can go out for dinot sure what we're doing today. I started feeling twinges of pain a bit yestner. I figured it will be awhile before I feel like going out again, so we're going out to celebrate my birthday tonight. Since I spent my birthday on the recliner last Sunday. I'm trying to figure out where I want to eat.... any suggestions?

My supervisor was still there when I got in and he basically told me I got the promotion so . Now it's time to maneuver off the night shift back to the living.

Hi, Theresa. Nothing much new today. I called Mom earlier, but she'd just gotten to the hospital. She had the boys talk to Grandpa, which was sweet and cute, but I got no info, and the boys hung up. I've been meaning to call her back, but haven't. I figured she'd call if she knew something.

He ate his breakfast, though, and Mom thought he looked better.

All right, my garlic bread is ready. We'll be out 'til late.

It's one of those hour at a time, Class at time, day at a time things. No where as fierce as what you are facing... But that's what I'm telling Sarabeth about this school year.. One class at a time... One day at aTime.. 1 week at a time.. thats how you eat an elephant.. One bite at a time.

No problem! Mr. The King hardly ever lets me ride in the car because of my gas problems. I can hang on really tight

OK I'm NOT going.

His heart was in the right place tho. He thought i'd be thrilled to go but in reality I was move upset he couldn't go with me. I had fun solo but I would rather vacation with him. Then I found out my friend Laura who who I would be staying with had to work one of the days I was to be there AND that she couldn't afford to go into F&W. It just seemed silly to me to do it.

We had a long talk about it, we had a short cry about it. Then we went out for a walk for a while to cool down. Things are ok now. I mostly feel bad for not being happier about his trying to do something so great for me, he mostly felt bad I wasn't more excited.

So we got a credit on the plane ticket. That means we have a year to use it. So we are $200 closer to a trip of some kind for the coming year, so thats good I guess. I am secretly hoping New Orleans will be in our future come April or May. We'll see.

Thanks to everyone for letting me vent. I got me a great hubby but I think i'll stick to being the planner in the house!

Off to play some Sims 2.

So work wasn't tooo bad. It was steady, but not crazy except for the maternity department. My supervisor was still there when I got in and he basically told me I got the promotion so . Now it's time to maneuver off the night shift back to the living.

Ike is still heading near us, even though he moved a litte South. Unfortunately the hospital will most likely activate it's Hurricane teams so I will most likely have to work Monday night too. I just hope the outer bands aren't too powerful that it'll knock power out because that'll just suck.

Rain Rain Rain. I'm so sick of Rain! So we are staying in and cleaning up and siting down and working out our budget so we can save for another trip eventually and KCs all coveted flat screen TV.

The poor boy lugged a reg 27 inch tv from his brothers job in NYC to Brooklyn, on the subway, on a hand truck with a flat , only to find out it was broken and now we cant use it. I think our tv works just fine but he wants a better one. He was not thrilled.

Anyways i'm off to make breakfast for dinner.

We're home from date night. We ended up going to a Canadian-themed steakhouse. They have elk and bison, but we both had beef. It reminded me a bit of Le Cellier, but the ambience was better and the food was cheaper. The mashed potatoes I had weren't quite as good as the ones at LC, but the meal was still yummy.

We'll be gone all day tomorrow at my nephew's birthday party. So, don't get too chatty, ladies!

We just got home from Atlantic Beach. We got one rain band Friday morning and that was it....other than a stiff breeze. How is everyone else doing?

We took a mini vacation that was altered somewhat by Hanna. Our first stop was in Aurora, NC to visit the fossil museum. We didn't make it there before they closed, so we just hunted for shark's teeth for a few hours. Then we took a ferry over to civilization and continued on to the beach. We had planned to go to Ocracoke and up to Corolla to see the wild horses, but we will have to make that another time. I'll post the pic of the Loud Children with Jim Cantore. OMG! Y'all wouldn't believe how many drunk 50+ year old women were going goo goo over that man.

I wasn'tgoing to tell but I have some sad news my 16yr old cat died today ! They called me at work. DSIL took him out to bury him by some water he thought that would be nice !!I'm so sad but he was old and he died at home !
