You Can... The phone is on my side of the bed.. so I'll be the one to answer.How you feeling this morning??

I'm doing okay. DD4 woke me up at 4:45 to go potty and because she had a bad dream. I started thinking then and couldn't go back to sleep. I'm not in any pain or anything. Just couldn't sleep.

Hey, in a vigilante related story, I don't think I told you guys about my BIL and his girlfriend...

They live in an apt. in Chicago, city proper. One day in July, her bike was stolen from their basement area storage.

They were ticked and filed a police report, but there's not much more to do - that was for insurance more than anything.

But she needed a bike, so they went on Craig's List and FOUND HER BIKE! So he went (with a friend. He is skinny and not intimidating) and made an appointment to "see it". They had called the police, but they wanted to use her as bait and he didn't feel good about that... So anyway, he "test rode" it, then said, "Hey, I'd like to buy it, but the problem is that YOU TOOK IT FROM MY HOUSE."

The guy claimed that he bought it off a homeless guy for $10 and wanted to turn a quick profit, but who knows? He gave it up without a fight, but now they're a little nervous because if he WAS the thief, he obviously knows where they live! :eek:

OMG!

:scared1:

She finally comes into me and says this (with a straight face mind you), 'I'm sorry to tell you this but Big Foot came and took your cell phone and dropped it in the toilet. I saw him do this and then he flushed the toilet and all I could do was stand there and say bye-by cell phone.'

I'm sitting there trying not to laugh and then she goes, 'Yeah...that's it. Big Foot came and took it.'

:rotfl:

I won $50 on a scratch ticket at work! :banana: it was a $10 ticket. I`ve never bought a $10 ticket before...I left Steve the $10 and am going to put the 40 away for the Trip in October..:woohoo:
Nice! :banana:

The news is trying to scare people by saying that tropical storm Hanna might turn towards us, even though the cone doesn't really show it hitting Miami :headache:. I hate the news during Hurricane season. :mad:
Ike is looking skeery though and right behind that is Josephine... :scared:

I know! My godchildren are coming next week. NO Hurricanes! :scared:

Got a pile of ironing to do this afternoon!

I always have ironing to do! :headache:

So you reading now then?????? :rotfl: Why can't you sleep? :hug:

WHEN I CAN GET TO IT.. I AM NOT USED TO HAVING 11 SUBBED THREADS . 10 being TR's PLUS MY OWN.. and now that all your FF people are writing TR's.. I am busier than a 1 armed mom with septuplets.

Not sure what my problem is... and last night I wanted to go to bed early... but Sara needed to study and I had a few after bedtime things to catch up on... so I went to sleep at close to midnight... up at 5:00:sad2: .
Go a lot on my mind and my leg is still sore... forgot myself and ran across the street this morning to do something for Sarabeth as the bus was coming.. and stretched that muscle again.:scared:

I imagine your mind is occupied with what you are facing.. that's why you are not sleeping. :hug:

Good morning Fockers! We are off for the 2nd day of first grade, then Tink has her first Dance class at her new dance studio and I am hopeful to get Costco in and vacuuming of the first level of my house. Tomorrow is Tinks first day of school and I get to work in my DS's class whilst she is there.

Jo- Great chunk of stuff done on your behalf. What is the weather like there? It has drastically cooled down here...fall is upon us!

Well, I'm off for the bus and then DD4's first day of preschool. I may be back this morning. I remembered last night that I have to go to the DMV this morning too. Let's hope that doesn't take forever! She doesn't get out until 1pm, so I should be home and check in before then.

Have a great morning everyone!

Good Morning all was supposed to be going in at noon but now have to go in shortly! Oh the joys of being a manager !!I will be in and out all day depending on work needs !! So will be checking in hopefully periodically!!

This job will be really laid back. I'm not used to that with the schools. Good news is that if I work about 15-20 hours a week I'll make 1/3 more than I made with the schools. Can't beat that. :)

:thumbsup2 That's awesome Jen!

Hi for the first time today ! Worked late and then had to go to open house at Jr High for the girls. Steph is having a hard time she is scared '*** she doesn't undarstand the schedule among other things. Samantha is her usualnon chalant self ! Oh itis going to be a fun first few days of the new school!!

:hug: It'll get bettre!

K doesn't think anyone will show up either. I don't what to think at this point. :confused3

Good Luck today Dawn and K! :hug:

Going to bed! Good night..I have a cat crying somewhere and I cant figure out where she is! Its mine,,,shes 17 a little white thing (Sally)...shes gone deaf in the last year. But we forget and call her all the time! :rotfl2: gotta go find the old bat!!

Oh no! Poor kitty! Hope you found her.

Been for a nice walk this morning, then I vacuumed and dusted downstairs, the girls have gone back to school so I can finally get this house a bit cleaner! Got a pile of ironing to do this afternoon!

Wow...you got a lot done Jo! I have a pile of laundry and ironing to do too. :headache:

I saw that on The Weather Channel that MN was having like high in the 60's. The kids know the soon to be ex lives there and asks about it when we watch that channel. Good geography lesson for them, I guess. LOL

Good Luck at the DMV Jodi! Ours usually isn't too bad but we live in small town USA. When we lived in VA and TX I dreaded going to the DMV's there! Enjoy your 'me' time!

Morning Rosie! Hope you have a good day! :)

Good Morning Fockers!

Dropped Linds off at Kindy about 45 minutes ago. DR has preschool this afternoon and I have about 2 hours to myself. I've already gotten the dishwasher loaded, a load of clothes in the washer and dryer and cleaned the family room. I'm torn on what I want to do with my afternoon though...relax in the 2 hours and play online or go to the grocery store by myself. I'm thinking the grocery store because we deseperately need a good stocking up! LOL

Anyways, have a good day and I'll be back on later! :)

:sad2: Chatty Fockers; I'm behind a buncha pages again! I tried catching up but my replies are spotty... forgive me?! :flower3:

It has drastically cooled down here...fall is upon us!
I can't even fathom. It's BRUTAL here in FL this week - little or no rain and highs in the upper 90s. :faint:

The news is trying to scare people by saying that tropical storm Hanna might turn towards us, even though the cone doesn't really show it hitting Miami :headache:. I hate the news during Hurricane season. :mad:
Ike is looking skeery though and right behind that is Josephine... :scared:
LOL, after Fay, our local coverage has all but ceased! Our nerves can't take anymore; they're just saying "we may get some rain from Hanna and we'll keep an eye on Ike and Josephine..." :rotfl:

Hey...does anyone use Bare Minerals??? I need opinions...I"m thinking of using it.
Kind of. I didn't like the foundation - colors didn't match my skin and made me itch. I use Neutrogena's mineral make-up in compact form, not loose. But I use Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil over it for a "flawless" finish!

I just think that it's a phase that most kids go through at least once.
I'll concur. Leo's quite the master storyteller, but he has recently gotten so he'll explain when something's a story vs. reality. :thumbsup2

What page do we start a whole new Focker thread. I just noticed tonight we are on 186!:eek:
Not till 250. Should be sometime tomorrow, right? :rolleyes:

V, I'll get those Michael Phelps pictures up soon. :thumbsup2
:yay: :yay: :yay:

So, since I'm not going to be alone with the kids here, K thought it would be best if he was here and could "protect our home" and call the police if someone comes.

I'm so nervous about it all. K's saying all this bullcarp macho stuff about taking the guy down and it's got me about to cry. He thinks he's funny, but I'm scared he won't just get the plate numbers and call the police like we were told to do. :sad1:

Anyway... the kids and I are going for haircuts and to run errands tomorrow so we won't be here. :guilty:
:hug: I'm sure it will all work out okay Dawn!

Jodi? :hug: :hug: :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I started doing some sketches for my Studio Art class...
NOT good. :guilty:
Really, I suck. Which doesn't surprise me - there's a reason why I'm an Art History major and not a Fine Arts major! :rotfl:
In other news, Leo wants to go to Dinosaur World. Badly. He asks every time we pass it on I-4 between home and WDW. :headache: I think he has undeliverable expectations of the place - he seems to think it'll be a lot like Jurassic Park. In the movie. :eek:
This, form the child who won't set foot on the Dinosaur! ride at AK. :rolleyes:
Oh sure, I finally gfet Jimmy to bed and all the cool kids are leaving
Sorry, dude. I was beat, too. I actually went to bed before 11:00, which NEVER happens...
I just got here!! and everyone is leaving? O-well,,,,
Hi Jen!!!
Night Jodi and CE and Janet!! thats all I`ve read so far...
Good morning, Carrie! :goodvibes
Hey...does anyone use Bare Minerals??? I need opinions...I"m thinking of using it.
I barely wear makeup, but my BFF swears by it. As do a couple of my SisIL's.
I was just talking to a friend whose DH just started a new job 2 months aga (He worked for one compnay for 20 something years and given a force retirement). At the new place they even time how long you are in the bathroom Needless to say he is looking for another job.
Well, now, THAT'S insane.
This job will be really laid back. I'm not used to that with the schools. Good news is that if I work about 15-20 hours a week I'll make 1/3 more than I made with the schools. Can't beat that.
Oooh, now, THAT is aweome! :thumbsup2
Sorry about your day of "kinda sorta" boating CE! Still fun though..but I know what you are talking about!
We just sat too long. The weather at the beach was no one's fault, but...
I won $50 on a scratch ticket at work! :banana: it was a $10 ticket. I`ve never bought a $10 ticket before...I left Steve the $10 and am going to put the 40 away for the Trip in October..:woohoo:
That's great!!! :cool1:
Yeah... He's not scary at all.
Nope. :rotfl:
I'm off to bed. I'll be around in the morning. We have to get school done before we go run errands. :teacher:
Nighty, night! :cutie:
Have a good day!
Going to bed! Good night..I have a cat crying somewhere and I cant figure out where she is! Its mine,,,shes 17 a little white thing (Sally)...shes gone deaf in the last year. But we forget and call her all the time! :rotfl2: gotta go find the old bat!!
What a long lake day CE, :hug:
::yes::
I hate the news during Hurricane season. :mad:
Ike is looking skeery though and right behind that is Josephine... :scared:
:hug:
So you go boating and just sit :confused3 I'm with you CE if you go on a boat you actually want to move :rotfl2: I also think people without young kids really don't realise that they need to be fed and go to bed!
Well, the thing is that they HAVE young kids. They have a DD7 and a DD4. But they're in a different town and so they start school an hour later than we do, and John also wasn't working early yesterday morning, so I guess they just didn't care as much. :confused3 The DD4 starts preschool next week, I think.
Wow, busy! I did laundry yesterday that I need to get put away, and I should clean up a bit. We'll see... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
You, too! :hug:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I'm waiting home because they are supposed to be coming to do my annual boiler check and tune up, but it was just "morning" - no specific time.
I don't want to go anywhere, anyway, but it's annoying to HAVE to sit, you know?
I should get that laundry put away, and then I'm due to hoover as well, ;)and the bathroom floor downstairs has mud footprints. The lady we bought the house from seemed to have put new tiles down in order to sell the house. She chose shiny white for the bathroom floor. Yeah, THAT stays clean. :headache:
I have a few more new posts to read, then I'll check in a bit later!
I can't even fathom. It's BRUTAL here in FL this week - little or no rain and highs in the upper 90s. :faint:
We're supposed to hit 88 up here tomorrow - figures that it's the warmest it's been since something like May 31st. :rolleyes:
:lmao: Go figure!
So the guy showed up just as I was typing the last bit. :thumbsup2
O.k. you all are up to your usual trick. This is way to many pages for one day. I am missing a lot but I did notice a new baby, way to cute for words. The group shot is just priceless. If someone can give a quick recap that would be great. I will not be able to log back in until tonight as I am working this afternoon and need to also get some food into this house. I like the new job but do find the lady who works the shift before me a little ditsy. She is sweet and all just I feel has no back bone and ditsy.
Yes... because it's on THOSE DAYS you think of all these places you COULD GO... BUT YOU CAN'T :headache:
BUT.. NOW that you are FREE you see NO NEED to go ANYWHERE:rotfl2:
That's what I call my Pap smear. But I guess you really mean boiler.
Good Morning Fockers!!
Good Morning Fockers!!
Good Morning, Deb! There you go, making me laugh again!
I'm just stopping in before heading to my chiro appointment at 9:45. Dropped off DD4 at preschool and she was never so happy to go to school!
I'll be back after chiro, vet and DMV (sounds like a great morning, huh?). My house is a disaster and I figure as long as I'm feeling good, I should probably clean it up. Garbage pick up is tomorrow, so it's a good time to go through stuff and clean it up. It's like I'm nesting.....but definitely not pregnant -- although my DH did call my cyst "Junior" over the weekend! :rotfl:
It wasn't awful, and I know I sound ungrateful for griping about a nice day out with friends, but it was just all a little annoying, you know? And if it had been Saturday and not Monday, I might have been better at going with it all, but it was the end of a long few days. ;)
Sorry, I just needed to vent that out. :grouphug:
Anytime, CE! Don't feel bad. I know excactly what you mean. That's why we pretty much avoid doing things with people that don't have the same "schedule dedication" that we do. It's too frustrating!
Yup, to you too dear! Hope the cops catch the perps!
Jumping in because I don't know where I left off.
Dawn, you have a crazy cable guy? Oh, and please don't think I've forgotten to get your kids SC stuff. I'm collecting and will get your address soon. Heck, they might even get pictures of Hanna as she rolls into town.
V, I'll get those Michael Phelps pictures up soon. :thumbsup2
Hope everyone is doing okay. :hug:
Lucky Kate! I wanted to see Michael Phelps! How are you?
I'll have to come up with a picture of him - he doesn't LOOK like a vigilante. :lmao:
Your brother is CUTE, CE! He's got that Geek Chic thing goin' on!
A good first day is always a good sign:thumbsup2
I was just talking to a friend whose DH just started a new job 2 months aga (He worked for one compnay for 20 something years and given a force retirement). At the new place they even time how long you are in the bathroom:scared1: Needless to say he is looking for another job:sad2:
Um, that's weird. And sort of mean.
Katt if you don't go to my TR soon well I'm gonna, errrrr, I'm gonna phone you, yes that's right I'm going to phone you at 9am every morning till you read it, that's my 9am not yours, bwahaaahaaahaaaaa :rotfl:
Ha! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That will teach her, Jo!
Well, I'm off for the bus and then DD4's first day of preschool. I may be back this morning. I remembered last night that I have to go to the DMV this morning too. Let's hope that doesn't take forever! She doesn't get out until 1pm, so I should be home and check in before then.
Hi Jodi. I read all your updates, so I'm caught up on the surgery. Keeping my fingers crossed for you still.....:hug:
:sad2: Chatty Fockers; I'm behind a buncha pages again! I tried catching up but my replies are spotty... forgive me?! :flower3:
Hi V! I know, aren't they the CHATTIEST?!!? Took me an hour to catch up. How's things? Oh, and I can't even draw a smiley face.....don't feel too bad.
==============
Ok, so today is SD's first FULL day. He was a bit worried last night, but I told him that he needs to be positive. He hasn't had an actual panic attack in 2 weeks and he has calmed himself down the couple of times he's had any anxiety. I'm really proud of him.
Today is my phone consultation with the ped. about him.
My mom is here still. I'm glad she's visiting but after a few days I'm ready for her to go to Bangladesh. :rotfl: Argh. I know, that's not very nice, but she's driving me nuts. She is taking pictures of the rabbits that run around my garden right now. :confused3 Last night we went out for Gus' bday and had dinner. She ordered her salad just like this: "I'll have the raspberry chicken salad but I don't want blue cheese so LEAVE IT OFF." Uh. How about a PLEASE????
OR A "can you leave it off?"
I'm just grasping at annoyances but omg. I wanted to crawl under the table. It was a nice place, but we don't go there often....thank god. Later on, Bob says, "Wow, she's got the manners of a construction worker." Nice. Yep. Thankfully, I taught MYSELF some manners.....:rotfl2:
And my boys have BEAUTIFUL manners....
MEL:thumbsup2
Since we have "Ventured" down "THAT" Road.
Mamogram Exercises
Many women are afraid of their first mammogram, and even if they have had them before, there is fear, but there is no need to worry. By taking a few minutes each day for a week preceding the exam and doing the following practice exercises, you will be totally prepared for the test, and best of all, you can do these simple practice exercises right in your home.
EXERCISE 1:
Open your refrigerator door, and insert one breast between the door and the main box.
Have one of your strongest friends slam the door shut as hard as possible and lean on the door for good measure.
Hold that position for five seconds.
Repeat in case the first time wasn't effective.. or IF YOU have... Larger than a "C" Cup, an ddid not get it all in the FIRST Time.
EXERCISE 2:
Visit your garage at 3 a.m. when the temperature of the cement floor is just perfect.
Take off all your clothes and lie comfortably on the floor sideways with one breast wedged under the rear tire of the car.
Ask a friend to slowly back the car up until your breast is sufficiently flattened and chilled.
Switch sides, and repeat for the other breast.
EXERCISE 3:
Freeze two metal bookends overnight.
Strip to the waist.
Invite a stranger into the room Have the stranger press the bookends against either side of one of your breasts and smash the bookends together as hard as he/she can.
Set an appointment with the stranger to meet next year to do it again.
You are now properly prepared!
The TOTAL Yearly Package Thingie....
"That's Having your "Tires" Rotated and "Check under the Hood";)
That's right Katt!! "Soaking the beans" and "slapping the monkey" too.
Bare Mineral!! Love it!! I have been using it for years now. I used to use liquid foundation. I love how natural and light and perfect it makes my skin look. It took about a week of practice before I was good at it. I love that it doesn't come off on clothes. The kids can touch my face and not "smear" it. I really love it! (can you tell ;) )
