Mel- Fruit of Doom! :lmao: :lmao:

I'm glad you realized you haven't been doing the right drops. I hope you can give it some time to work before your next appt.

:hug: I'm sure it's upsetting to see your baby struggling. :hug: I'm hope you get some answers.

Jen- I am loving the new car. It's so much nicer than what I was driving. It smells all new and clean! :cloud9:

No problem on the MOA thing. You'll just have to shop more now! :rotfl2:

Lori- We have an outlet about 20 mins away! Not that I shop there ever. I dont' have the patience to go there with three kids and all those stores! :headache:

Tanya- I don't mind, of course! :goodvibes Your DHis such a good sport! :banana:

TE- :scared: No stirrup pants!!!:scared:

Mel- the weiners on the grill thing cracked me up. i know. I'm immature... :rotfl2:

Okay- I'm off to organize the schoolroom a bit so it'll be ready for tomorrow! :teacher:

Tretorns - I had a pair once, when I broke my big toe, they were cheap enough that Mom didn't feel bad about cutting a hole in them so I could wear shoes. Yeah, not a fan of them, sorry guys.

Am I the only East coast girl that didn't wear them?:confused3 I'm feeling left out.

Although, all this "nostalgia" talk brought a song to mind...who can finish this lyric...

"Skippies, they make your feet feel fine...."

LL - how's Michael feeling?

He's feeling surprisingly...great! :confused3 I'd STILL be curled up in the fetal position if it were me, but acting like nothing ever happened and even says his arm doesn't hurt anymore?

I'm just hoping that he remembers to be careful still...he's running around like a mad man right now as a matter of fact. Tony took him this afternoon to a friends house for a couple of hours and the friend gave him...Mountain Dew...he's spinning like a top.

I'm also hoping that he doesn't come to the realization that his casted arm is also an effective weapon...:rolleyes:

V - I spent the morning thinking of you... I am up early with the pugs each day , but today my back was killing me so after they did their business and ate breakfast I settled on the couch. While channel surfing I caught a show on Wealth TV (can you even believe there is such a channel:sad2: ) anyhow, that was just staring about the Louvre, it was the first part of 3, it was so good, I wanted to set the DVR to record the other 2, so while searching the programming guide it turned out part 2 was available via on demand. The whole point of this is both were very interesting from the historic and art standpoint and if you have Wealth TV look for it.:thumbsup2

Seriously? Wealth TV? :confused3

Anyone see Gone Baby Gone, I DVR'ed from Statrz last night, I really should do some work that I bought home and haven't looked at yet though....

I haven't seen it yet. Watched Into The Wild the other night - still not sure if I liked it. I sat through the whole thing, but...had a hard time staying tuned in. Maybe it was the sight of all the snow that made me tune out...:scared:

I also rented PS I Love You - hoping to watch that tonight...

LL- Sounds like you are one busy mama. Hope Michael's appt goes well on Tuesday and you get good news!

Thanks! Hopefully I'll have good news to report Tuesday night! :thumbsup2

So who was talking about the Tretons and wearing them with pegged jeans? I guess pegging is coming back into style. Here's Katie Holmes wearing her jeans that way...

katiestepfordjeansback1.jpg

All I can say is WHY????? :confused: I hated to wear my pants like that!!!

Are those Tom's jeans she's wearing?

DS15 has been fine today. He's still feeling a bit wobbly he says but he's not in panic mode at least. I told him I'll make an appt with his ped. tomorrow. He loves his ped. dr. He's a younger guy who is pretty cool (I think they identify-he's really tall like my ds) so I know he'll feel comfortable talking to him. He seemed cool with that idea, so I'll see when I can get him in tomorrow.

Mel - has DS spoken to his Ped about this before? Is he on meds - I'm guessing maybe not if these attacks are getting more frequent. Maybe they'll put him on a light dose of something like Klonopin. Although it'd be great if he didn't need anything at all...I (embarrassingly) suffer from an anxiety disorder and the drugs have really saved my life. There's nothing scarier than those attacks...the minor ones I can usually breathe through but boy those big ones can sneak right up on you and scare the carp outta ya...Let us know how he makes out...:hug:

Mel - :hug: for DS15, anxiety attacks are not fun, I have been having mini ones for a while now. Hopefully you or the ped will find out what is causing them. :hug:

I know, of all the pages, I decided to quote on TE's dh's undie troubles! :sad2:

Just had tell you guys the funniest story. When Ds15 was about 2 or 3 he was just done with a bath and I told him, go find your undies. They're in the dryer. He ran off to get them and came back all upset. I asked him what was wrong and he said, these aren't the right ones. :confused3 What do you mean? "Not the right ones...?" He said, Well these are batman undies. I like the other ones better. So, I'm racking my brain trying to think WHAT ones? He only has plain tightie whiteys and the batman ones...He prefers the plain ones???!!!

So, I say, Um the only other ones you have are the white ones. Are those the ones you mean!? He says, Yes. The ones with the apple. The Fruit of Doom ones....

OMG. :scared1: :lmao: :scared1: :lmao:

My dh and I laugh STILL about this!

---------------
I was going to type you guys a long explanation here about something INCREDIBLY stupid that I did but I don't want to hog up a huge post. SO, in a nutshell, here it is. The Dr gave me a drop (for the pressure) when he did the needling. It's called Alphagan. It's in a turquoise bottle/purple cap. He also gave me a bottle of natural tears that are in a turquoise bottle/turquoise cap for the dryness and scratchiness that usually follows a needling.

I just discovered yesterday that for a week(!!!!!) I've been using the tears INSTEAD of the pressure drop! I'm so out of it (I blame stress, Bob's job things, and DS's panic attacks *more on this later*) that I didn't even notice that the bottle was WRONG! SO!!!! No wonder my pressure was UP!

I can't wait to tell the DR. I'm calling him at 9:01 am on Monday!!! But, maybe that is good news...maybe now that I'm actually PUTTING the darn drop in it will GO DOWN!

And yesterday we went to see Batman. In Imax. It cost 62$ for the four of us and snacks. Five minutes after we sat down, DS15 had a massive panic attack and I had to leave with him. :guilty: I feel awful. I don't know what is going on with im. I don't know what to do. I can't calm him down. He was in full on panic mode from then (4pm) until I finally BEGGED him to go to sleep at 2 am!!!!!!!!!!

So, Fockers, I am TIRED. I'm heartsick over what is wrong with my baby. :guilty: I am calling the Dr. as soon as I can this morning even though it's Sunday. He's on call usually. I just don't know what's going on. Please subsititute all your well wishes and prayers for my eye to my baby. I am losing it.

And Bob's leaving town for 8 days tomorrow. God help me.

MEL:banana:

Mel...:hug: I'm so sorry babe. Everything will work out. :hug:

So I did watch Gone Baby Gone, good but dark, makes you want to grab your kids and hold tight.

And I was good and did a couple hours worth of work so I feel like I am ahead going into the week, of course come Wed when I have to go to Connecticut for the day. 6 hours round trip in the car with the VP and Sr VP:sad2: THink they will play the license plate game?

Evening all. Crazy day here. Went grocery shopping this morning. Then ran to Kohl's to get a Birthday present for the MIL. While there we got a new table and chairs for the patio. It was a $700 set, we got it for $130:woohoo:

After that we had the IL's over for the MIL's birthday dinner. They just left and now Jim and Jimmy are watching the Indredible Hulk (The original TV pilot) so I have a few minutes to Dis before bath and bed routine.

They cost a $1.99:thumbsup2

WOW - way to go Janet!!!:banana: Is it stuck in YOUR head now too?:confused3

Better warn the photopass photog's;)

Oooh...hadn't thought of that. You're right!:thumbsup2

I'm sorry, but that cracked me up Mo. :lmao: But thinking about it...wow...what in the world can you talk about with the big bosses for 6 hours:confused3

I'm thinking of a number between 1 to 500... :scratchin
99 Bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer... :mic:

Yep CT for the day Wed and then I'll know for sure tomorrow if I am heading to NM on 8/13 (VP thinks we are and she had me block my schedule already). If nothing else it will make the time before Wieniefest go fast.

Who are you hiding out from? ;)

While there we got a new table and chairs for the patio. It was a $700 set, we got it for $130:woohoo:

WHERE? I have been in search of a new table, after mine uplifited into the woods and all. :confused3

No new Artwork for my wall. But DH came home with a new light weight ski jacket!:confused3 (there is a new North Face Store in Uptown, where the Art Fair was).

I told him that after his 2 pairs of shoes, this new jacket and a bunch of running stuff...then there was all the stuff the kids got...

I'M going shopping for ME!

Are we allowed to do that as mothers?

Sometimes I wonder...

.

Kohl's! And they were giving $10 Kohl's cahs for every $50 you spent so I am going to take that and go back and get some picture frams and other stuff we liked for the new living room.

Top 5 baybee!

Wait...what does this say about me?

I have no life! :sad2:

crap...now I'm singing Momma Mia again.:mad: ;)

(the girls really like the movie last week!)

You are welcome TE!!! :teeth:

Are we allowed to do that as mothers?

Sometimes I wonder...

No...we are forced to live with holey underwears and bras with no underwire, socks that are thread-bare...

But good purses. Always gotta have a nice purse.

NO WAY! EVERYONE who was ANYONE wore TRETORNS! THEY ROCKED!
Hellz yeah! :cool1:

Okay, after reading all the Tretorn posts, i ahve a theory:

Maybe they were more of a Mid-Western Lake region thing?? As for era, well, I graduated in '88. Skipped 11th grade. Wore them 6th-8th grades. I'll let you do the math. :rolleyes1

Also hot at my school (which was TINY - 300 students from Pre-K - 12th) were Blukers, Docksiders, any kind of parka, Sporto Duck boots, plaid flannel shirts (long before the grunge movement), anything by Esprit, Stan Smith sneakers and turtlenecks with little bitty pictures all over (the coolest kids had the whales, horses and hearts.) :rolleyes:

V, wern`t you supposed to go to Buffalo this summer? :confused3
I was, but had to cancel - I wouldn't have enough vacation hours to cover that plus teh times Leo's school is closed. :guilty:
I`m going to IP DIP!!! :banana: Woo hooo!!!! :cool1:
Wooo hooo!!! :yay:

V: 90210.. seriously??? That's my favorite Addiction other than disney hehe
Oh yeah - I tried hard to wait on Season 5 until I'd finished Dallas Season 9, but I couldn't help myself. ;)

I can't believe my baby is starting Kindy!!! And I got a letter in the mail on Friday for when DR will be starting preschool. He'll be starting on 8/27. :scared1: I am soooooooo not ready for this either!!! Where have my babies gone??? (And to think, in the last paragraph I was just thankful for how grown up they were getting :laughing: )
:hug: I think we all go back and forth on that one!

Well we're having a big BBQ for all Dad's family in about an hour but it keeps raining :headache: Everything is done and I suppose the rain won't matter to the ones who want to swim in Dad's pool anyway :rotfl2:
Hey Mo? I'm starting to think Jo might actually be as British as she claims - where else does it rain that much?! ;)

BTW Jo, I was explaining to Leo that we'd be seeing your family again soon and tried to ID you guys by your accent... he wasn't getting it so I tried donning my faux-Brit accent and he told me I suck. Not literally, but i know that's what he meant. :rolleyes:

Fingers crossed - we have a drs. appt. on Tuesday for more x-rays...I guess to make sure that the bone the ortho surgeon bent in Michael's arm hasn't bent back:scared: . Maybe I'll get some kind of idea as to when he can get a smaller cast too...
Many, many good vibes heading your way! :hug:

I am so excited that all of you are willing to help. I'm just touched. :goodvibes
Dawn, I'm so sorry I haven't volunteered. :guilty: I love the idea, but things are so crazy right now with end-of-semester work, I didn't want to commit and not be able to follow through.

Fruit of Doom
:rotfl2:
I just discovered yesterday that for a week(!!!!!) I've been using the tears INSTEAD of the pressure drop!
ACK! I hope using the right drops makes a big difference and you can avoid the surgery mel! :hug:
Please subsititute all your well wishes and prayers for my eye to my baby. I am losing it.
How bout we cover you both? :hug:

I hope everyone has a great Sunday and this thread is free of bad juju!
Amen sista-friend!

Does he have a Rx for Xanex? I have a lot of friends who are on Rx for Panic attacks.
:rotfl: You can include me on that! My Dr. prescribed them about a week after my ex walked out on me. I went to her saying, "I just can't seem to concentrate on anything and my heart feels like it's racing. I can't figure out what's wrong." She said, in the calmest, most relaxed way, "Uh-huh. That's called an anxiety attack and you're going to need something to help with that."

I guess pegging is coming back into style.
NONONONONONONONONONONONONONO!!!!!!!! :eek:

The whole point of this is both were very interesting from the historic and art standpoint and if you have Wealth TV look for it.:thumbsup2
Thanks Mo - I'm totally searching for it tomorrow! :thumbsup2

I got Evan's preschool letter yesterday, too. He starts on 9/4 - I'm super nervous about him! He's such a mama's boy, I'm sure there'll be tears. :guilty:
:hug:

And do you know what I saw on The Children's Place page the other day while shopping for jeans for Lindsey? Stirrup pants!!!!:eek:
AACCKK!! My eyes, my eyes!!! :scared1:

I'm also hoping that he doesn't come to the realization that his casted arm is also an effective weapon...:rolleyes:
Cant' say I didn't warn you. ;)
Watched Into The Wild the other night - still not sure if I liked it. I sat through the whole thing, but...had a hard time staying tuned in.
I felt the same way, though I loooved the book.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi all. Busy day here: grocery shopping, swimming, sandals shopping (for Leo) and a heated game of battleship against my boy. I won. :teeth:
Speaking of heated... Leo just had a bad dream and was sobbing in his sleep. As i went to check on him, Gramma was heading that way. I told her, "I've got him..."
Gramma: "I can get him."
Me: "No need, I'm right here, about to open his door."
Gramma: "But he's sobbing!"
:mad:
Meaning what? That I - his MOTHER - lack the ability to soothe and comfrot my BABY?!?!
I just shot her a dirty look and pushed past into his room, where I hugged and spoke soothingly to him... whilst Gramma lurked in the doorway and Leo kept looking over like, "who's the scary person standing in my door?!"
THIS is why I keep my Rx for Xanax! :rolleyes:
