Team Focker Watch Chat Part 5.5: The Less-Cursed Version

Well, I've finally caught up from this morning. You ladies were pretty chatty! I don't remember everything, but I did want to say that Charlie is adorable, Ed, and Jen, your hair looks really cute. I got mine cut yesterday too, but it still looks the same.

So, I went to the hospital this morning for pre-op tests and the nurse looked at my chart on the computer and informed me that she didn't need to take any blood afterall! I guess they ran all the same tests last weekend when I was admitted and they don't need to do them again. The important ones have be done within 48 hours, so they'll have to draw some blood on Tuesday morning, but I figure one less needle stick is good, right?

I forgot to call DD7's school about lunch and by the time I forgot, it was too late. They only allow 10 parents per day to come in for lunch since the cafeteria is too small. I was about 20 minutes too late in calling. I had meant to call on my drive from preschool dropoff to the hospital, but I forgot. So, I went over to the school to drop off a sweatshirt for DD7 and wrote her a little note explaining what had happened. I've now got to remember to come in for lunch on Monday! The secretary is a friend of mine and she told me that she would write my name down now for Monday! It's good to have friends in high places, right?

So, I'm home from picking up DD4 from preschool and I think we're going to head to a friend's house to play for a bit before DD7 gets home from school. I'll be back later!

I just got home from spending that much on booze.

It's been a rough week.

OK Kc says to me a few minutes ago 'go take a shower i have a surprise for u to set up'. So I go into the bathroom for a while and I come out and he says "i wanna tell u now but i was gonna wait but u'll be mad if i wait so here' he then proceeds to hand me a JET BLUE ticket confirmation for SEPT 26-27th!!!!!!!

Apparently he has booked me to go to Florida for the closing of the adventurers club. He can;t get the time off and has been working with my friend down there, Laura, to figure out picking me up.

Honestly I know I gave him a carpy reaction because I don't really know what to say. No plans, nothing set up, someone I don't know coming to get me at the airport (L's friend because she has to work) and a return flight sunday at 11:30am. I am at a loss and don't know what to do.

She mentioned going to F&W but if not then what? I have to wait until she is off work today at 4:30 to plan this and I don't even know what the heck to say or do!

Last night we had Back to School Night, our first . We got to see the classroom, and meet the teachers. They seem nice. Can't really tell much after only a half hour, KWIM? We also picked up his uniforms. I will take pics on Monday, Jimmy's first day.

ahhhh, first day of school. can't wait to see pics.

I'm cleaning the house. It's awfully dirty and I haven't devoted a single second of time to it lately. The floor took TWO moppings! Blech!

Well, I got my nap in, but it ate more morning than it should have. I didn't fall right back to sleep, so that by the time I DID fall asleep, it was really too late to be napping, if you KWIM. So now I'm feeling behind.

I took a shower and now I need to run to the gym to turn in the forms for the rec swim team the boys will start the 16th. And I'll go to the grocery store that's over there - it's my favorite, but there's one closer to my house that I usually use if I'm not at the gym.

Carp. My dad's on the phone. My grandpa is having bleeding again, his back hurts and his lung function isn't good this morning. They moved him from rehab back to a "real" room.

It could be minor, but it could be the final thing... Gah. They're needing to talk to my mom - who's doing a bit better - about the POA forms and such.

Can ya believe KC is still sleeping?? Yep. SO I'm trying to be quiet-ish. He informed me last night that on one of his days off he needs to just "Sleep till I wake up" and today is that day. I'm bored already. I look fwd to him being home so we can do stuff together and he sleeps all day- MEN!!

OMGosh! I am giving B a spelling test before we leave and I'm trying to remind her to sound out the words so she doesn't make silly mistakes. So, I have been breaking up the words. "Crocodile. croc-o-dile. Wisconsin." You see where this is going, right? "Wizz..." We cracked up. Homeschooling=fun (Well, today anyway. )

I'm stressing out, I wanna be happy that he did this, it was a wonderful thought and I appreciate it but without a bit more planning I don't really know what to do, I';m less than enthusiastic about it. And now I feel guilty cause I'm not jumping up and down.

It's Hopeless... May have to do a ticker.. that says when this Thread will slow down again...

Evan's first day of pre-school was yesterday and after some tears, temper tantrums and the silent treatment, we got him off to school and he loved it! Although he did declare he doesn't really need school.

for the tantrums!!! but on the not needing school. that's too cute!

So I had another quote for a new bolier today and it came in at $7k Also after David spoke to a friend who advised us we called and asked for a second opinion on our boiler and what do you know he couldn't find anything wrong with it and connected it back up So we can now shower again, the man yesterday was obviously on a mission to turn boilers off

but, are you going to report the guy?? it sounds like he's just trying to get business installing new boilers. maybe some of those other people didn't need new ones either? that's crazy!!

it's tough not to plan , but better to be alone in disney than being alone at home while kc is working. i think you would have a blast kat!!

We have to finish up cleaning the basement tonight to get ready for Jimmy's birthday party. The rain looks like it is not going to hold off, so I have to entertain 11 kids in my basement for 3 hours

Jim wants to mow the lawn tonight and then I have to go food shopping to get the stuff for the party. Then I have to fill the pinata, make up the gift bags, and pick up the cake. Somebody please come to Philly and help
