Dad seems to think she's doing better. HIS sister, who travels a bunch and isn't married, came in all of a sudden Monday night to help, which is probably good. But then she backed their car into the postlady's. No one was hurt, but it's another thing to deal with, you know?

I think I'll follow CE's lead and go shower!

Happy started 1st grade and LOVES it. THis is his 1st year doing full time and he is handling it great. The teach is great too although he will get 45-60 mins of homework daily .He had homework the 1st day.

WOW. My friend's sixth grader is only getting an hour a night. That's a lot. We haven't had any yet for 1st - but I know we will. It won't be that much, though, I don't think...

I took a nice bath, but was interrupted by Woody bawlling. He's just feeling tired and worried about spelling, I think (he has his first spelling test tomorrow) but he's unhappy.

He loves school, as a rule, so my heart is breaking for him. I'm sure he'll be fine by next week - or maybe even after he sees that the spelling tomorrow isn't so bad.

Hi everyone! Its 4:30am and I can't sleep so I thought I would drop in and let you know I am still alive.I wish I had time to do a proper catch up but it has been several weeks since I have been on the dis. My computer crashed and we didn't have it for almost two weeks.I have also started a full time job.I haven't worked full time since before the kids were born and it has been a huge adjustment.All four kids are playing sports and I have been leaving the house at 7:30 am and getting back after 9:00pm.then laundry,etc...a little overwhelmed.Anyway I didn't meen to start venting,just wanted to let you know I miss keeping up with all your lives and hopefully this weekend(between going to my first college football game and two of my kids being baptised) I will get a chance to read about how wonderful Fockerfest was

Well, I slept like CARP. My tummy's all in knots. I have to go wake up Sd in a second because our power was out last night and I think his alarm will be off. I am wearing out fast with this school issue, thank GOD it's Friday.

Wow. I guess I know why the power was out last night. The WIND is incredible!!! And I went to open the family room windows that look out onto my back yard and we have a HUGE tree down across the yard and into the neighbor's! Whoa! Glad it went the other way, it could've landed on the gazeebo!

We have our playgroup parent potluck dinner tomorrow night, which should be fun. We're doing Italian, so I am bringing garlic bread. I told my friend that I feel lame only bringing that (well, and wine) but that's the beauty of these - with 7 people bringing something, none of us need to bring a lot, you know? The hostess does the main dish, so...

So I had another quote for a new bolier today and it came in at $7k Also after David spoke to a friend who advised us we called and asked for a second opinion on our boiler and what do you know he couldn't find anything wrong with it and connected it back up So we can now shower again, the man yesterday was obviously on a mission to turn boilers off
