I'm home from school supply shopping. Got all the stuff that Gus needed (except an expandable file, he has a preference which I didn't see at Target). I got him two pairs of levis, two polos, and socks at Kohl's. Didn't get sneakers for either kid yet, they still have some that fit. And SD's going to shop with me for the rest of his stuff. He's almost 16 and he has OPINIONS on what he should wear.... :confused3 Ah, teenagers. I hope that they did ok at the movie. Bob was concerned....

I'm making turkey burgers and mac n cheese for dinner tonight. Sounds so good. I'm starving right now!!! The popcorn smell at Target almost did me in. :rotfl2:

JO: Do you happen to know of a tea company that is more popular in UK than Twinings? A young man in the UK Pavillion was telling Gus and I about it when we were there in June and I've completely forgotten the name. He said it was better....

MEL:banana:

Mo welcome home  It was great meeting you and I have that TT photo on my photopass account :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Mel the most popular brands of tea here are Typhoo, Tetley, PG Tips. But they're all just normal teas

HI Fockers I'm back, exhausted but home. Murph left a little earlier toady after pug sitting and I have to say not happy with how she looks, can't wait for that appointment with the rheumy in a few weeks.
 I'm sorry Mo, but welcome back.

WHo has started trip reports that I need links for?
Does mine count?! No, i haven't gotten that far yet.

OK, here's my version of pimping

A Very Verklepmt Vacation

Jim went pick up Tink and I thought I'd take a little break and check in with you all. THe work done looks great, but now I have to get everything in order for Jimmy's birthday party next Saturday (His actual borthday is Monday!)
:scared1: What a homecoming!

Did we discuss the leaked Midnight Sun Already!!!!

I was just dropping by Sm's site and was very surprised by the message. I proceeded to read the first 12 chapters she had posted.

But I feel sad now. I can't believe people did this to her.

Hi Ladies,

Just checking in! Glad to see that Mo and T have returned from the Motherland. Man, I wish I was there right now instead of here!

So, the bright side of all of this is that my DH is doing the laundry! :laundy: He also went grocery shopping this afternoon and has been dealing with the kids too! What a great guy, huh?

Gotta figure out what I want for dinner. I don't feel like eating, but I know that I need to eat something. Maybe a turkey sandwich...

You STILL have not eaten ??

I have eaten, Katt. The doctor finally allowed me to eat at about 7:30 last night, so I sent Eric out to get me some pancakes. This morning I wanted to wait until after I saw the doctor before eating, just in case we could do the surgery today. But, alas, that wasn't an option, so I ordered myself a chicken salad sandwich around noon before I left the hospital. Since I got home, I've had some graham crackers with my meds around 4:30. Now, I'm ready for something else.

UIh, oh! Souns like Jodi's getting more spankings!

I've got some fudge bars in the freezer. I may just have to have one after dinner tonight.... :cloud9:

On a serious note...
A lady we went to church with (and taught Sunday school with) back in Austin was diagnosed with unoperable, incurable cancer about 8 years ago. She's been fighting it every since. Sometimes she's okay and sometimes things are really bad.

She's been in the hospital for a few weeks now and it's been very touch and go. She's developed an infection and pneumonia. She's in critical care around the clock. He hubby has been with her, but had to be evacuated since the hospital she's in is in New Orleans. Her kids and rest of her family is back in Austin, so I guess he's going home until it's safe. :guilty:

I'm sure it's so terribly hard to leave her and hope that she's safe and the hospital doesn't lose power. We all heard the stories of what went on in the hospitals during Hurricane Katrina. Anyway, I know not everyone here is religious, but maybe just say a prayer if you are and hug your babies hard if you're not.

This thing has me down a bit. I just hate that they've had to go through all of this. I couldn't imagine walking away from Kirt if it was him in the hospital, but my kids couldn't lose both parents . :sad1:
