And I will Remember your Prayer Request in New Orleans. I too would have a hard time leaving Scott and he would me too. BUT you can not sacrifice your kids or On Purpose take a chance of leaving them without ANY PARENTS.

On a serious note...
A lady we went to church with (and taught Sunday school with) back in Austin was diagnosed with unoperable, incurable cancer about 8 years ago. She's been fighting it every since. Sometimes she's okay and sometimes things are really bad.

She's been in the hospital for a few weeks now and it's been very touch and go. She's developed an infection and pneumonia. She's in critical care around the clock. He hubby has been with her, but had to be evacuated since the hospital she's in is in New Orleans. Her kids and rest of her family is back in Austin, so I guess he's going home until it's safe.

I'm sure it's so terribly hard to leave her and hope that she's safe and the hospital doesn't lose power. We all heard the stories of what went on in the hospitals during Hurricane Katrina. Anyway, I know not everyone here is religious, but maybe just say a prayer if you are and hug your babies hard if you're not.

This thing has me down a bit. I just hate that they've had to go through all of this. I couldn't imagine walking away from Kirt if it was him in the hospital, but my kids couldn't lose both parents .

OMG, I can't even imagine. My heart goes out to them.

I'll probably be out of the loop for the weekend since KC works from home, but he is off Monday! I have no idea if we will do anything, I'm still trying to clean the darn house and get things back to normal. Only place we will be going is the grocery store cause its barren in the fridge!

So I will upload my pics asap from focker fest, I took 800 pics over the course of the 10 days!!! Nutso!

I really had such a wonderful time meeting and spending time with you all! it was worth braving the heat and rain!

Ok off to the store...I'll be around tonight I think.

Ok my baby turned 3 in July and he is all grown up now-----he is officially potty trained!!!!!!!I cant believe it. I told him I had no diapers left on Monday and he said ok and put on underwear...and the rest was history.

Lots of company this weekend,trying to get in one last get together with everyone before school next week. day 1 down and only 2 more to go.

When we went to dinner at my MIL's Tuesday, we had chocolate pie for dessert. The "little kids" were laughing and saying, "We look like Daddy." This is the picture I took of them with Kirt.

So, I just called a bit ago and they were in the process of releasing my mum. (Jo, she's been in hospital since Tuesday. OK now, though.) So, that's good news.

D's mom called and I told her the saga, and she very generously offered to give my mom miles to come here if she'd relax more here than at home. That was sweet. I don't know if I can get mom to leave there now though, as grandpa's not perking up much on the rehab floor. (Jo, I almost didn't come to FL as grandpa had surgery on the 18th and we didn't think he'd make it. I don't think I told you that.)

We'll do our pizza and a movie night, but I need to figure out if I'm making stuff to take up to the lake tomorrow, or just buying something from the store. At this point, I'm leaning towards buying.

How'd I do???

I am not even going to pretend i can catch up... but I'm back! We got in last night close to midnight and spent the day unpacking and relaxing and finally now are waiting for some dinner to come (real pizza that I always miss on vaca).

I can't wait to see what everyone's been up to....so Janet hook a girl up with the goods!

I just want to say what a huge pleasure it was meeting all of you, it was a wonderful trip despite the rain!

They said that the composition of the mass was "complex" meaning that they cannot rule out the big "c". But my mom had a huge fybroid about 4 years ago that was totally benign (fluid filled), so that's the assumption I'm working on. The doc said that they won't know anything until they get it out of me.

He's still struggling. I made an appt. with the pediatric psychiatrist. It's for the end of Sept. The psycologist wants him to see that dr. and get some form of meds if he can't get this under control by then. I'm so torn. I don't want to medicate my baby, but if he's constantly struggling how will he make it through hs? I know I should be optomisitic but this summer has SUCKED big time.

Anyway, my mom comes on Sunday and I'm really looking forward to that. I need my mommy!!!!

I'm back and unfortunately STILL on vacation time! It's only 6:30 here, but in WDW I'd be hitting the parks!

Haven't had a chance to catch up yet, but wanted to stop in to say hi to all!

Hey All!

Just checking in with an update. I'm home now. The doc stopped by around 10:45 and basically said I wasn't an emergency and I could go home. So, I get to lay around my house until Tuesday when I can talk to my doctor and set up the surgery. Eric and the girls just ran up to the store to stock up on groceries and fill my prescription. I'm looking forward to a very boring weekend. The percoset is making me a bit loopy, so I won't be driving anywhere, but luckily, Eric doesn't have anywhere to go. So, he can watch the girls and I can do nothing. Anyway, everything seems to be fine right now and unless something happens between now and then, they'll be nothing new until Tuesday.

In a way I wanted to get it overwith and be done, but then again, I really wanted my own doctor's advise and for her to do the procedure, so maybe it's a good thing.

I've had several cysts and fibroids removed. My uterus is messier than a buffet after rush hour.

HI Fockers I'm back, exhausted but home. Murph left a little earlier toady after pug sitting and I have to say not happy with how she looks, can't wait for that appointment with the rheumy in a few weeks.

Well, I had an awesome day yesterday with meeska in Lubbock. No purse though.

Until today!!!!

I got a Fossil Purse for $64...off from $279!!!

Then...this morning my new niece was born.

Addison Riley was welcomed into this world at about 2 this morning weighing in at 7 lbs. 5 oz...and is 19 3/4 inches long.

I am going to Abq. tomorrow to see her!

Hi! Thanks for the well wishes. He's struggling, but doing ok. He has a friend over! I'm so happy about that. He's been avoiding his friends since the panic attacks started so maybe this is a good sign?

We had a busy day today and I'm exhusted! DR was up at 7AM when he peed the bed. At least Lindsey slept in.

My aunt came over at 8:30 to set up for the garage sale. The kids sold water, lemonade and cookies and made about $6.00. Lindsey was happy to add all that change to her Princesses piggy bank. LOL

About halfway through my aunt's husband calls and says my grandma fell and probably broke her wrist. My aunt headed up to the ER to meet them there. I guess my grandma tripped and landed on her wrist and broke the 2 big boes and then also the 3 little ones. Anyways, they admitted her for the night and has it set in a sling right now and will most likely do surgery tomorrow morning on it. My aunt said the doctor on call didn't want to come in and will just do it tomorrow. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but I know she was in a lot of pain from it.

This evening the kids and I walked up to the basketball courts and community center in town for our local community days. The kids had fun walking around playing a few games, dunking the cheerleaders, getting their faces painted and eating. I asked what DR's favorite thing was and he said his cupcake. LOL

So, we are all exhusted from being out in the sun all day.
