Thanks :thumbsup2

Day 2 at Barbieville. I spoke with my program director this morning and she told me to just stick it out. I'll be done in no time and she really wants me to stay there. I decided to suck it up and hang out for 8 more days, it is entertaining at least. popcorn:: The cattiness alone is worth staying for. These broads talk about eachother all day long, it's freakin' hysterical! TourGuide Barbie-TGB (the main receptionist - yes I decided to take Rachel's advice and name them) decided to call in sick today, so FatBarbie (Me) had to take over her position and basically run the front office. It was WAY more fun today! I actually got to do some "real" work! :banana: Alabaster Skin Barbie (asst. office manager) loved that I organized all of TGB drawers and work space, so that ought to piss TGB off on Monday. :stir: Stay tuned for day 3.

OK Am I thew only one that thinks the name FatBarbie is just plainw rong for you!? You can be Ethnic Barbie or Hispanic Barbie...anything but Fat Barbie!!!
Hope you're teeth are feeling better!

Adios Fockers (unless I'm back on tomorrow--we aim to leave by 10ish. ONly a 6 hour trip and we can't check in till 3.

Have a great time!!!!! :goodvibes

Kat: Tell KC if you don't sleep you'll be GRUMPY! ::yes::

I think after the long few days we had he is definitely aware that I am snippy and tired. :lmao:

Well I am off tomorrow and monday :banana: Time to Dis :banana: :banana:

Hope you get to relax a little on those days off!

Disney is looking LESS and LESS appealing :faint:

You NEED the vacation...run!!! Disney will make it all better!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today was crazy! He finished his game last night (beat it I mean) so thank god for small favors. I woke up around noon (catching up on the sleep I missed the past few days) and ten minutes later his brother calls and says he wants to come over! This is the brother who never spoke to me before, who left our wedding early and never has been to our house before. So I run around like a chicken with my head cut off and we clean and shower and are ready in like 1/2 hour. he comes over and actually hugged me and was pretty cool. He was here until about 8pm just hanging out and chatting. It was bizarre to say the least. I think KC is secretly thrilled because they used to be very close.
We just ordered some Chinese food since it's storming out. Have a great night everyone! And happy father's day to all the awesome DIS Dads!
Hi Kat! :wave:
Just popping on to say hi! I just got done helping my little one organize his MP3 player with new songs. The rule is that he can't add anything without my hearing it and approving it (he's 11) and he's NOT allowed to download it until I do the first part!
SO, it takes a LONG time what with me saying things like, "he said the girl he's with is EASY, that's NOT ok." *eye rolling*
And, "Um, what does he mean 'party party party' ?" "Does he mean with ALCOHOL?"
*more eye rolling*
Yeah. I'm the fun mom. :rotfl: Seriously, my boys are very good kids. Good grades, good manners and they have never given me a moment of worry but I swear they'll end up in jail if they listen to some of the carp out there! What on earth are those "groups" singing about? I'm a rocker. Really. Old school, Man! I have more metal albums than my kids do. They like alot of our stuff but then they like this other stuff too that boggles my mind! :confused3
I swear to you I have no earthly idea WHAT Panic at the Disco is singing about.
Mel:banana:
I swear to you I have no earthly idea WHAT Panic at the Disco is singing about.
:rotfl2: I love, love, love Panic at the Disco!
Katt: How about "Happy to be me" Barbie? :teeth:
Jo: Did you say jam tarts??? :hyper:
G-luv: Sometimes you gotta do whatcha gotta do. Good luck with the motha. ;)
Margie: :hug: for you and your little ones.
Katt: That totally blows! :headache: Try to put it out of your mind whilst in your happy place. :goodvibes
Janet: How'd the BBQ go? BTW, I become Brace Face Trace on Tuesday. :lmao:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So tomorrow is Father's day, right? Well with everything going on this week, I completely forgot to order Andy's new cell phone! :eek: I am presentless! Oh and I completely forgot about Waldo's gift too! :faint: I ran over to Target and grabbed Andy a canister of Almond Roca (his fav. candy) and a card, then I printed a pic of his new phone he is getting on Friday. I feel soooo bad! :(

Only 1 of my brothers is coming over tomorrow with his family. The oldest is going to sit at home with his wife because he doesn't like family functions (can you say "social issues"?) and my brother Rick (The Ducks) are going to an Angel game. At least the brother that is coming over has kids Maddie and Evans ages, so all is good there. :thumbsup2

:worship: Home again and praying the phone doesn't ring before midnight when I am OFF call! Say your prayers for me !!:worship: :worship:

Maybe I can promise him a game of "badminton" later. :idea: Right, Rachel?
hey, i really did play badminton!!! :rotfl2: i mean i played for an hour. no way, if you kwim!! :rotfl2:
but maybe that can be the new code word for it!!

D JUST got back from the office at 6:45 and went out to pick up pizza. So, it's time to get the table ready, etc., and then I probably won't be back tonight. Happy Friday night!

hi ce, have fun!

I updated the TR....just sayin....

i;m going to check it out, i promise!!

Bug however can drag toys out faster than I can clean a room. I get tired just watching him play.

Happy Fathers Day to all the Focker Dads

completely understand! i clean, then my kids mess it up, everytime, in about 5 minutes flat!!

Ok, so the more I think about this whole graduatio thing the more I have to This was done so much more for the parents than for the kids. You had to see these parents. Balloon Bouquets, Flowers, and enough video equipment to make Steven Spielberg jealous. IT was actually kid of ridiculous.

I really hope they don't do anything for next year when he is done PreK. Jimmy is just a "spotlight" kind of kid, KWIM...

wow!!! what are they going to do for high school graduation now?

The cattiness alone is worth staying for. These broads talk about eachother all day long, it's freakin' hysterical! TourGuide Barbie-TGB (the main receptionist - yes I decided to take Rachel's advice and name them) decided to call in sick today, so FatBarbie (Me) had to take over her position and basically run the front office. It was WAY more fun today!

this is definately going to be entertaining!!!! luv that you've named them, but you should NOT call yourself fat barbie!! no way!! i waiting for more.

sorry your teeth hurt, but losing weight is always a good side effect!!

I'm moving. To the same town as my motha. :scared1: I'm 95% sure. Jon has been having some health issues and we need to be closer to his doctors. I've lived in my hometown my whole life. A town of 35,000. And now I'll be moving to a city of almost a million. I'm quitting my job and I'm in the hunt for a new one.

it sounds like the move will be better for your son. change is always hard though!! :hug: to you!!

Adios Fockers (unless I'm back on tomorrow--we aim to leave by 10ish. ONly a 6 hour trip and we can't check in till 3.

have fun!!!

Rachel- The way I see it, you cleaned yesterday, so you are needing to do that again today.

i agree!! :rotfl2:

Thank goodness it is over... now I just get to spoil DH today and go see my dad as we are celebrating Fathers Day today since I work tomorrow...
Hope all the Fockers have a great weekend :)

i'll be working too!! have a good one too!

just for that .. I'm claiming your bets + an additional 10 points each... AND you have to sing "YMCA "in a thong Bikini.

I'll check back in later on today for a few. Have them suits on girls and in your best singing voice;)

okay you're too funny!! i would scare everyone away! :rotfl2:

What did everyone decide to do for Father's day? We're going to church and then just hang out. We have a nice steak dinner planned too. We bought K a baseball glove since his is falling apart, litterally. Then, of course, the yearly "My dad's the best" shirt. :thumbsup2

have fun! i'll be working on father's day! :headache:

Now listen here, Missy! You are hereby ORDERED, yeah I said it, to stop obsessing and have fun! Right Fockers? RIGHT?!!! Step away from the dust mop.
MEL

agreed!

We do nothing here. My dad passed away when I was in high school and my kid's dad's both left when I got pg. Neither wanted more kids. My dd is adjusted but it is hard on ds since he is only 4 he doesn't understand it. He has been talking a lot about his daddy lately. I could just cry when he starts talking about his daddy because I do not know what to say to him. Then he sees my brother with his son and it is just confusing for him. So we just pretend this weekend is just a weekend.

:hug: :hug:
Good Morning all ! Had an interesting morning that started at 4 am with a call to get in to work as the fire department was there and they neede to get into my office !

:scared1:

LIke I needed more. The short story is....
Downstairs toilet backed up into the shower.. THEN... began to leak out from under the toilet.. the seal had given away... Further find out.. flange is broken.. Cast iron sewer pipe is broken off.. We are going to have to chisel out the concrete.. and replace some pipe... maybe a LOT of Pipe.. will not know till they get in there.. no crawlspace.. so we have to DIG

Disney is looking LESS and LESS appealing :faint:

oh no! well, just try to let all your troubles melt away at disney!!

just love those lazy days!!

OK Am I thew only one that thinks the name FatBarbie is just plainw rong for you!? You can be Ethnic Barbie or Hispanic Barbie...anything but Fat Barbie!!!
[/B][/COLOR]

my vote is for hispanic barbie,, or better yet...hispanic princess barbie :goodvibes

So tomorrow is Father's day, right?
Only 1 of my brothers is coming over tomorrow with his family. The oldest is going to sit at home with his wife because he doesn't like family functions (can you say "social issues"?)

i forgot about father's day too!!! whoops!:rolleyes1

i think there's one with "social issues" in everyone's family. mine definately has it's share and in laws have more than their share. (did i just say that outloud?) :rotfl2:

Good Morning FOckers. SO busy yesterday that I never even got a chance to read. I logged onto the computer about 9:30 last night, check my email and then passed out. WEnt to the eye doctor, got home aorund 12:00. Ran out and got ice and last minute stuff for the BBQ, left to pick my SIL and Nephew up in Jersey and then came back here. BBQ was fun and Jmmy had fun running around in theyard, jumping in his "whale" pool and then running around some more.

Kett - :hug: SOunds like the time thast my fridge, oven, and dishwasher all died 2 1/2 weeks before we left for FLA in 2005, then we we came home the AC was dead:eek:

I can't believe he wouldn't take the trains as payment though :sad2::lmao:

HI everyone else. Too much to catch up on...who's giving me an update:rolleyes1

BTW: FINAL BETS listed above.

We have a Birthday party to go to today so I will chat with you all later.:goodvibes

Okay, I only had time to go back a few pages, so if I'm missing anyone or anything, I'm sorry! :grouphug:

We do nothing here. My dad passed away when I was in high school and my kid's dad's both left when I got pg. Neither wanted more kids. So we just pretend this weekend is just a weekend.
I'm sending you mnay hugs. :hug: My dad passed away 9 years ago and my DS is at his dad's this weekend, so it's just another weekend for me, too.

And here's the big kicker...I'll be moving in with my mother and until we can find a condo that's perfect. :eek:
:faint: Here's the good news, though - if YOU move in with HER, it's much easier to move back out down the road. Trust V. I suspect Gramma is here to stay. FOREVER. :headache: (Can you tell she's driving me nuts this week?!)

LIke I needed more. The short story is....

UGH! I'm sorry Katt - I hate when things just pile up on top of each other. :hug:

I'm a rocker. Really. Old school, Man! I have more metal albums than my kids do. They like alot of our stuff but then they like this other stuff too that boggles my mind! :confused3
:lmao: Thank you Mel - I'm right there with you! Shoot, I was punk, listened to bands like the Dead Kennedys, Social Distortion, Bad Brains... but I'm so hopelessly out of the loop nowadays it's ridiculous. Last night, I got my stereo receiver hooked up to the new TV/DVD/VCR and rocked out to a Grateful Dead DVD from my very first show. Yeah, I'm cool. :rotfl:

:lmao: That's all I've got - good stuff T!
Here's the bright side, I've lost 2.5 pounds, since I can't really eat much. I'm so excited - I'm just 1 stomach flu away from my goal weight. Heh heh heh.
I've got this great diet: I don't eat anything all day and when I feel like I'm going to faint, I eat a piece of cheese. :rotfl2: Sorry you're still in pain. :hug:

Adios Fockers (unless I'm back on tomorrow--we aim to leave by 10ish. ONly a 6 hour trip and we can't check in till 3.
Have a great trip TE!

Well, crap. Leave it to the Fuzzy Mathematician to drop $$$ on a new TV when my AC is on its last legs. :headache: It's not dead yet, but looking at the condenser unit, that's some kind of miracle. That baby's rusted out all over - looks like the fan blades are holding on by a thread!

So what do ya'll know about replacing AC parts? I got a quote for $3500 to replace the whole system.... to which my response was "Yeah, right. Forget it!" Seems I can replace just the condenser, though it won't be quite as efficient as replacing the whole shebang. He gave me an unofficial quote of $1600 - does that seem right? How do I shop around? Does anyone have a code?! :rotfl:

Morning Janet! :wave:

HI V.:goodvibes Rotten luck about the AC. I know that is about what my parents paid to replace their AC about 2 years ago. DId you ever notice this stuff happens right in the middle of the summer. Like when our heater died in the middle of winter:headache:

DId you ever notice this stuff happens right in the middle of the summer. Like when our heater died in the middle of winter:headache:

Yeah, and that's my fear... and my conundrum....

I'd like to let it ride until it actually dies. But then what if that's mid-summer and I can't get it fixed for a couple days? Conversely, what if I replace it before it dies and it gets washed out in a hurricane a week later?!

Quick, someone remind me why I chose to live down here. :headache:

Morning Fockers,

Just skimmed to catch up...

T - you have to stay there to give us Barbie updates:lmao: and could you please take some stealth pic, pretty please!

V - I have no advice regarding AC, but here's a hug:hug:

Katt :hug:

So the garage sale was a success, almost $300 made. I have a charity coming for a pick up tomorrow as I didn't want to bring the stuff that didn't sell into the house, so I packed it up and left it on the front porch. What they don't take goes to the curb Tuesday night for garbage pick up. Now that the house is straightened up I don't want that carp back in.

As for my Father's Day, it's a hard day for me now. Dad passed away Jan. 5 2006 and even though they say it gets easier, it hasn't for me. I miss him terribly. He truly was one of the good guys. Rarely raised his voice, always there for his kids and truly loved Mom. Even when he was housebound he never complained. His concern was always for what it was doing to Murph and how his illness was making her stay home too. I know he is in a better place, and I know he is watching over us, he is still taking care of us. Love ya Dad:hug:
