So the garage sale was a success, almost $300 made. I have a charity coming for a pick up tomorrow as I didn't want to bring the stuff that didn't sell into the house, so I packed it up and left it on the front porch. What they don't take goes to the curb Tuesday night for garbage pick up. Now that the house is straightened up I don't want that carp back in.

As for my Father's Day, it's a hard day for me now. Dad passed away Jan. 5 2006 and even though they say it gets easier, it hasn't for me. I miss him terribly. He truly was one of the good guys. Rarely raised his voice, always there for his kids and truly loved Mom. Even when he was housebound he never complained. His concern was always for what it was doing to Murph and how his illness was making her stay home too. I know he is in a better place, and I know he is watching over us, he is still taking care of us. Love ya Dad:hug:

:thumbsup2 on the garage sale. and :hug: for your dad!

Hey...Where's Z?:confused3

Good Question!!!????:confused3 :confused:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After all the non sleep these past few days you'd think I could have slept for hours last night., We laid down about midnight, I was thrilled. Then I woke up at 4:30 and never could get back to sleep! I think I'm taking a Tylenol PM tonight so I can get back on a normal person's schedule. I hate insomnia!
We did a whole lotta nothing, i tried to sleep, KC worked and then we went for a little walk ad got some $5 subway sandwiches. Now he's on the PS3 and I get to DIS.
Hope everyone's Father's Day as great!
OMG, Lessa, Rome? Wow, I wish I could go to Rome. Well, I guess I could if I stopped spending all my money in Disney!! :confused3 :rotfl2:
So, what did you do today? Anything fun? I'm folding laundry right now. And I'm also trying to watch the race that I taped from earlier today. Want to watch it before someone tells me who won! ::yes::
Tomorrow I am taking my DS to get his learners permit. I feel old. :sad2: He's 15 and 1/2. I guess I should be happy that he waited as long as he did. In MI you can be 14 yrs. 9 mos. when you get it!! Yikes. :scared1: He's a good boy, so I'm not worried that he'll go hot-rodding around. I'm worried about all the other people who are yapping on their cell phones!
:offtopic: I know, but I have to share. You guys will totally get it. Just realized that "the time" is here. I'm elated! Why? Because I thought it was gonna show up on Friday when we leave for WDW....maybe it will be OVER by then, now!!!!
Dance with me Chicas!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
Mel :banana:
Yeah I know, I was really bummed that I couldn't go. He is over there for a week for work and asked if I wanted to go, the hotel would have been paid for, all I needed to cover was the plane ticket. Well the flights were all at least $2000. I love Rome but all my money has to go to my tuition right now. Would have been nice to go back, someday. :goodvibes
Nothing exciting unless you count lying out in the backyard tanning and reading exciting. :lmao: Now I'm at work dealing with dumb people who somehow set their trash cans on fire. :headache:
That's great Mel, don't you just hate when it messes with your vacation, last thing one wants to deal with, especially in Disney! :lmao:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Do you know how many times I had to read that before I got it! :lmao: That's so cool, 'cause now that I get it and can totally relate, because I'm hoping I get it before I go too! Nothing worse than going to your happy place with it. I prefer to leave it at home. :teeth:
Hi all. Jimmy is sound asleep:woohoo: but I am still doing :laundy: I have 4 loads to go. Normally don't have that much, except when the sheets are changed and the shower curtain, etc. Plus all Jimmy's extra clothing came home from school on Friday. I am going be up late:faint:
Sheesh T, glad you got me now! Ha! :rotfl2:
Yeah, I wanna leave mine home too. My DH laughs everytime I say it, but "I long for menopause."
Bring on the chin hair and hot flashes!
Mel:banana:
So I need to get something off my chest, and I just know my Focker friends will give me an HONEST opinion.::yes::
This is a pet peeve of mine, and I want to know what you all think. What do you all think of people who say one thing, ie don't do something, and then turn around and do it themselves. The old do as I say, but not as I do.;)
Talk amongst yourselves.:smokin:
PS Please excuse all the typos. I am on Jim's work computer and it is a MAC. I HATE IT:headache:
Now you know why it was really hard to put up with my motha on my trip! ;) :rotfl2:
Hmmmmmm...depends. There are things in my life that I have done that I would never want Jon to do. I hope he will have learned something from my mistakes. So, in that case...do as I say not as I do.
BUT...I hate hypocrites. Those people who say one thing and do another. Chaps my hide.
You got an example??
I know what you mean Janet. I like to use the phrase "Practice what you preach" but it is a pet peeve of mine as well. Then you wonder do you say something or just let it roll off your back?
If things stay true to form, I will get mine the day leave to come home. Just puts a cap on an already carpy day :sad2:
I tell Jim the same thing all the time:rotfl2:
Janet: totally agree with all above. I hate the double standard...
I see lots of lights on but apparently no one is home. Come on people. I have 3 loads of laundry to get through. Keep me awake. :banana:
Yes, say for example that you were unfriendly to everyone you met but then when someone was unfriendly to you, you attacked them? Publicly. Letting everyone know what a hypocrite you were....say for example...that.
yeah. that would make me angry too.
Mel
