I am feeling soo bad for my friend.This year she has had BIG problems with her son in school(6th grade).He had always been in the gifted program with all A's and this year he has brought home F's.The work wasn't too hard but for some reason he wouldn't do the HW and other assignments.His test averages were all A's though.She just got a call that he failed. He has to go to summer school which will cost $400.they are having financial issues because her DH recently opened a business.I feel so bad for her.

Thanks. She said she thought she did well. The list is posted tomorrow about 4. We're going to swim all day, so hopefully that will take her mind off of it.

That's a bummer about your friend's son. I'd be majorly pi$$ed if he could do the work, but wouldn't. Does she "make him" stay home and do it before he does anything fun? That's working for us. B knows that she couldn't go to try-outs today or anywhere else unless her work was done. She also knows that if she doesn't make certain grades, I make her correct the work. She hates that, so she avoids grades under 85 at all costs.

I know I would have him work off that money for me all summer so hopefully he'd see it was a serious thing. I bet wasting the summer at school will motivate him. Poor mama.

I'm BACK!!!!! This time it was the right day! I seriously spent over 2 hours in the Gyno office. Most of it naked. YUCK! They had to do an internal ultrasound (other parts of the country call them sonagrams). Yes this was awful! When a lady comes at you with a wand the size of a dilly doe, I want to run away and hide! I did find out that I have several fibroids that they need to watch.

Dude, that sucks! I had that dillydoe poker when I had my sonogram for Maddie. When it was all done and the Dr. was out of the room, Andy asked if it was good for me! We were busting up so much the nurse had to ask us to quiet down.

I have got to run and get ds from school and then it is CULVERS Night for his school (do you all have Culvers Hamburger shops?) Culvers donates a portion of their profits for the night to his school. So every family come and eats there. I have to work part of it. Just call me car hop!

I am getting braces on my bottom teeth, but with my top, braces might not be an option due to bone density. I had at CT scan this afternoon and we'll know more on the 12th. It's been complete drama for me today.

I am getting braces on my bottom teeth, but with my top, braces might not be an option due to bone density. I had at CT scan this afternoon and we'll know more on the 12th. It's been complete drama for me today.

Oh T... I got NO WORDS HERE .. except.. that is 3 trips to Disney
Things like that are just too expensive. ANd NO ... I have not found ANY insurance that will cover Braces. I guess because too big of a % of people get them... they would have to pay for them. Even if it cost dear... it would have to be cheaper that most braces.

I do not have ANYPLACE to go to day and for a while EVERBODY WILL BE OUT OF MY HOUSE so now I have to get my priorities straight.. do I do house work or spend some serious time

Get over there and read!!! It's the last day....i didn't add in the two days we'll be driving home and stopping in Chatanooga...But, I guess I could.

morning all!!! well, i did have my margirita last night, maybe a couple ; but didn't get online. we went to my inlaws, about 15 minutes away (yeah, i know, too close ) but anyway, they have like 10 acres of land, so we played outside with the kids.
my mil was giving me the info on the wdw/ disney cruise vac in aug 2009. we're staying at wdw carribean beach for 4 days and then cruising for 3 days. she's getting standard inside staterooms. (there are 12 of us and she's paying for everyone! ) we're going tomorrow to AAA to book it. i might just pay for the upgrade to oceanview room. i don't really want a verandah bc my 2 yr old likes to climb and i would be a nervous wreck the whole time!!! so what do you guys think, would it be worth it to upgrade for more sq feet (30) and a window?

my mil is thinking about going with us in sept............but can't find a room at our resort with free dining....... so we'll see. it would be nice, but i kinda want a vacation with just us.. is that selfish?

Yes I LOVED the Smurfs that was one cartoon my mom and me actually watched together... Hey it beat... the "Bugaloos" and The Kids from C.A.P.E.R.

The family started a new business this year and though she said she tried to keep up with what was going on,I think he may have gotten a little lost in the shuffle.He constantly lied to them about his Hw and other things.I look at it and know I would have done things differently(he never missed any ball,etc) but I still feel bad for them all.Tyler talked to him yesterday and he is horrified that he failed.Tyler's advice? And yes,we have only gone on one trip with just the kids( and that was about 7 yrs ago) and it is one of my best memories.It was to a state park near here but we didn't tell anyone we were going until we were on the way...Not selfish at all for you to want it to be just ya'll on the trip.

I used to get up early to watch before school.And i did like the Smurfs.We didn't have many channels when I was little,too far out for cable.My parents were seperated the year I was 11 and I discovered nickelodeon in my mom's apartment.They got back together after 6 months and I went back to 3 channels until high school.

T, I'm so sorry sweetie!

Fave Sat. morning cartoons? I was a big Looney Tunes fan, especially Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the Roadrunner. I was definitely NOT a Disney fan, when it came to cartoons.

I also liked the Super Friends (Aqauman was a dreamboat! ) and Scooby Doo, but Scooby was a weekday afternoon show where I lived. My after school line-up consisted of Scooby, Gilligan's Island and the Brady Bunch.
