It's pretty easy!

Sugar free strawberry jello---make this up and add a tub of Cool-whip free and 1 cup sliced strawberries. Pour into pie shells, add some sliced strawberries for garnish, and let it set for a couple hours! :thumbsup2
(I have several diabetic family members and this is a good lite dessert for everyone)

Sounds yummy!

Strawberry pie

1 pkg. SF cook and serve vanilla pudding
1 pkg. SF strawberry Jell-O
2 cups water
16 oz pkg. strawberries

Mix vanilla pudding and water in small saucepan and bring to a boil over low
heat stirring frequently. When it starts to thicken remove from heat and mix
in Jell-O until dissolved. Set aside to cool. While this is cooling wash and
clean strawberries and slice into the bottom of a pie pan. Then pour pudding
mix over the berries and refrigerate until set.

Makes 6 servings at 1 point each.

This is one of my favorite recipes. I have now lost close to 120 pounds and this is one of the things that helped me through it all. You can make it peach or whatever but the strawberry tastes almost like the real thing sans crust.

Have a great day gals!

I'm getting a 2nd opinion - with a specialist this time. My appointment yesterday was with a "newbie" and I didn't feel confident with him. He read my x-rays completely different than my general dentist and I lost my mojo with him, KWIM? :eek:

You've got to feel comfortable with who you'll be dealing with. One of the people I took #1 to see was looking at his xrays saying "He has an extra set of baby teeth that will need to be pulled before we do anything." I tried to explain to the man that he still HAD his baby teeth and the xray was showing adult teeth still in the gum, but he didn't believe me. We left and never went back.

:hug: to you, T.

CE ~ Got to LOVE a new vacuum! :thumbsup2

My day began with a Dr. visit for Leo - yearly check-up. But I dind't know a shot would be given, so we were unprepared. :( He's NOT happy with me.

Ack, darn it! :hug:

Sounds kinda Southern when I read that back!! :rotfl:

Yes, it does. ;)

My parents had a lab mix - she just really liked to run (and swim), but as someone else said, you've got the room. :thumbsup2

When I shut her out of the bathrom she sticks her fingers under the door screaming" I miss you!!"

I've said it before, I'll say it again, "I love that kid." :rotfl:

CE,you sound so excited about your trip.Can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures.:goodvibes

I am! And I'll take tons of pictures, I'm sure. :goodvibes

CE- Sounds like playgroup went wMel- What a bummer about the meat! It sucks when you have to return things that should be good in the first place! Lucky you smelt it and didn't ell, despite the brief down pour. Just think... you will be in Paris in just a few days! :cool1:

It did - we always manage to have a good time, but I was awfully relieved not to have the 16 kids in my house the whole time. :rolleyes1

Okay girls! I'm off for round 2 at the Gyno! I'm yet again...all GYNO-IZED!

Good luck! :rotfl2:

~~~~~~~~~~~
On my way to pickup, I called my FIL's cell. They were then (at 11:00) in Massachusetts - progress! Another state closer! And then they were going to stop for lunch... :rolleyes1 :lmao: It just kind of cracks me up - the other grandparents can't wait to show up, skip meals, drive late into the night, etc.
But it's really OK, as we are not used to long visits with or from them - the later they get here, the less time they'll have to deal. ;)
Oh, and Jen? The Gemzar was a good call. Grandpa, Grandma and Mom met with the oncologist yesterday. The radiologist had recommended 7-10 external radiations treatments followed by several internal radiation treatments with small radiated metal beads that are inserted fibroscopically, I guess.
The oncologist didn't think he was up for that much external radiation, so they are doing the Gemzar chemo with just the internal radiation.
They're doing 1 chemo/week for 2 weeks, with a week off, for a few cycles at least. The hardest part for them all is that he has to follow the chemo treatments with 3 days of injections (I don't know what they are) to keep the blood cell count up. Sadly, the doctors are a 45 minute drive from the house, and Mom has to drive them. So, they did the chemo yesterday, but that means she drives him up all the rest of the week. Poor grandpa - poor mom. :worried:
All this added to Mom having Dad's sister come to visit and Dad having his gall bladder removed 6/10 - and Mom's brother, who is somewhat useless with all this even though he lives ONE BLOCK from grandpa & grandma - moving to Missouri in a few weeks. Even though he's not sold his house. And neither he nor his wife have jobs in MO. :headache: They want to be closer to their kids, which is fine, but he's been pretty "deadbeat" for the last 10 years or so, and I can't believe he's doing this NOW.
UGH.
Hi Fockers,
T - so sorry about the ortho:hug:
Kate - that is awful about the dnetist and the baby teeth, well scary :scared1: actually
Mel - YUCK at the pork:eek:
CE - have fun with the inlaws and if I don't "see" have a wonderful trip, lots of pics please!
TE - labs love to run and have great dispositions
Everyone else hi ya, gotta go back to work!
Mornin' ladies!
Hi TE...we miss you:hug:
Oh--we went and looked at chocolate lab pups last nite! I'll download some pics when I take another break! DH wants to get one when we come back from the beach (they'll be 8 weeks then!)
I've never had a lab. Any suggestions??
Friends of ours have a lab. It's a great dog for kids. You have lots of land for them to run, which from what I understand is the main thing they need. Can't wait to see the pics:thumbsup2
morning, well, afternoon now!!!!
Good Morning Fockers! :wave2: Quiet this morning, eh?
Ack! I know how you feel, Rachel! My DS was the same way at that age, he's almost 4 now. He's still pretty clingy - my family calls him "Velcro Boy". I can't shower or use the potty without him either sitting at the door or sitting on the floor in the bathroom with me. :eek:
::yes:: that's my son. he's actualy sitting on my lap right now while i'm typing!!!
Thanks, not until Saturday evening, though I'm catching an airport shuttle around 3:00 p.m.
I hope your day gets better!
thanks, i just keep thinking about that margirita tonight!
we'll all have a drink (or 2, 3 ....) together!!
:lmao: okay i'm just cracking up picturing your daughter with her fingers under the door screaming. how old is she?
Okay girls! I'm off for round 2 at the Gyno! I'm yet again...all GYNO-IZED!
:lmao: :lmao: i'm glad i'm not the only one who does that!!
WOW!!! :scared1: that's soooo scary!!!
:wave2: Hi all! Long time, no "see"....and man, I had to read like 25 pages just to catch up! I've missed so much!
T - :hug: for the braces and :thumbsup2 on the new CR-V - I had 3 of them between 97 and '02. I had a Pilot too and I agree with Mel (at least I think it was Mel) about having to be legless to sit in the back...the new ones were supposed to be a bit bigger though...
Mel - Did I quote you right - was it you that made the legless comment? I've been reading for the last 2-1/2 hrs or so and now everything's blending in together. I did read that you were having some trouble "over there" - sorry to hear that. :hug: Don't know what I missed, but WOW - sounds like a lot.
V - loved the SATC outfit (with the red bag)...and your hair looked awesome in that picture girlfriend! Sorry to hear Leo got a shot...they ambushed Michael like that last year too at his yearly well-child visit and now that he goes for an ADHD follow up every 3 months, the first thing out of his mouth to every person he comes in contact with is, "You're NOT giving me a shot today!:mad: "
Mo - Glad to hear Murph landed safely - that must've been scary. I'm jealous of her - I want to go on vacation!
TE - LOVE the new furniture. Congrats!
Kat - I liked the clothes...very cute:thumbsup2
Janet - Hey girl. Like the siggie you've got now!
S'late - Hope you're having a great time!!
Jo - :hug: I was a bit lost with the photography board stuff and someone saying something bad about you (which blows my mind)...but wanted to send you hugs anyway. Hope you're having fun at Dad's.
CE - You're going to PARIS???? Woooo Hooooo!!!
Everyone else - if I missed ya's I'm sorry....I'm trying desperately to catch up and I feel like I'm shoveling sand against the tide...too much to keep up with!
:yay: Hey LL! How was your trip???
So, my kids are upstairs playing "Wait, wait, don't tell me" the quiz show from NPR, only #2 keeps changing it to "Wait, um, yeah, go ahead and tell me" or "Wait, wait, I think I know that one...no tell me." Think that's why they weren't a big hit at the party? :rotfl2:
Thanks for the hug. It was crazy, if you want details I'll be happy to fill you in but I'm just glad to be free of it. And all the Fockers have been so sweet. :worship: :lovestruc
Yeah. They did, but I had to make them open the package and let me smell it first. Is that weird? I was paranoid....:confused: :scared1: :confused3
It's been cooking in the crock pot since 10. Smells good. :thumbsup2 Cleaned the whole house and the entire time was thinking.............
They have a version of "Car Talk" too, only they call it "Ship Talk" and NPR is GPR (Galactic Public Radio). You have to chose a Star Wars character and call in about a problem with your ship. #2 does it all alone...all the voices, all the story lines...he's a hoot.
No way jose.... I think everyone just went to bed :( Just as I got on here too .... Dress looks great.... What format do movies have to be for the Ipod? MP4?
Whatever the program KC found for me converts it into...LOL. I just put the DVD in and with one click it converts. Easy as pie.
Morning Everyone! I'm not going to be around much today. I was about to put my pork loin into the crockpot with some terriyaki sauce and when I opened it, it SMELLED awful! I am SOOOOOO ticked off right now I could spit nails! I have to drive 15 miles to the DING DANG store to return it (and by the way, that's almost 3 gallons of gas!=12$$$) and then come home and clean my house. So, time just got shorter.... What is the issue with the grocery stores lately? I am so irritated. Food costs a fortune and this is the 2nd or 3rd thing I've had to return in recent history! :furious:
MEL
EEK on the bad pork! At least you got another and it's smelling good! I made honey robs in mine over the weekend, and it made so much that tonight we will have the last of them for dinner. BTW what new clothes did ya buy???
How is everyone today?? Looks like a nice day out! I plan to stay in tho and clean up so I don't have to over the weekend.
Tomorrow KC & his friend are going to see a random movie "Postal" which is apparently playing in 4 theaters in the country...so I may tag along and see either Indy or Narnia (again) so I don't have to stay home and be bored!
I'm still working on getting my ipod and my pc stuff in order....what a pain in the you-know-what!
Picked the boys up from football camp and took them out for pizza.Now they are all laying down.:cloud9:
I just got a call from a team that wants Peyton to play ball with their team tonight.Most of this team will be turning thirteen soon and Peyton is a very small ten year old.And the team they are playing against is Tyler's team! Tyler's team is also turning thirteen soon.I know Peyton is a good ball player but this makes me nervous.I told DH I would agree if he played the outfield and then he admitted they want him to pitch.:scared1: I don't think he should pitch against kids three times his size.:mad:
Katt: Got the same khaki shorts as you and the orange ones instead of the turquoise. I also got a few tops, but they aren't on their website for some reason. :confused3
One is orange and brownish/khaki tiedye which matches both shorts! Yay! The other two are sort of short sleeve wrap tops. One pink one light turquoise.
AMY: What is NPR? :rotfl: It's National Public Radio. They have great programs on. I personally love This American Life. Ira Glass is smart and CUTE! But they do alot of other programs like Talk of the Nation (news), Fresh Air, Car Talk, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and others.
Look for it on your radion (usually down in the 90's??)
DOn't bother trying to catch up...just jump right back in:thumbsup2
Ok, went to return pork (took me over an hour! grrr.) The girl gave me the money back and said, Uh sorry. Yeah, I want pork for dinner tonight....you'll be providing that for free, right?
Yeah. They did, but I had to make them open the package and let me smell it first. Is that weird? I was paranoid....:confused: :scared1: :confused3
Not wierd..I would have done the same thing::yes::
I spent some over the weekend....::yes:: New clothes!!!
Um, excuse me...where are the pictures missy:hyper:
OMG, Leo too! Wait, not groaning - I get "MOMMY! I need some quiet time to think." :rolleyes:
:rotfl:
How is everyone today?? Looks like a nice day out! I plan to stay in tho and clean up so I don't have to over the weekend.
Tomorrow KC & his friend are going to see a random movie "Postal" which is apparently playing in 4 theaters in the country...so I may tag along and see either Indy or Narnia (again) so I don't have to stay home and be bored!
I'm still working on getting my ipod and my pc stuff in order....what a pain in the you-know-what! [/COLOR]
Hi Kat:wave2:
Picked the boys up from football camp and took them out for pizza.Now they are all laying down.:cloud9:
I just got a call from a team that wants Peyton to play ball with their team tonight.Most of this team will be turning thirteen soon and Peyton is a very small ten year old.And the team they are playing against is Tyler's team! Tyler's team is also turning thirteen soon.I know Peyton is a good ball player but this makes me nervous.I told DH I would agree if he played the outfield and then he admitted they want him to pitch.:scared1: I don't think he should pitch against kids three times his size.:mad:
I think I'd be leary about that too Rachel!!
