EDIT----I went back to see Leo split his chin...OMG .I am glad he is ok. I too am a VERY PANIKY mom. Thats what I do best
Yep, his chin doesn't look too bad, and he says is doesn't hurt. :thumbsup2 BUT... he's now got a head-to-toe rash. Near as we can tell, he's allergic to the stupid surgical glue! It never ends. :headache:

Let's just say that three overtired 6 year olds think EVERYTHING is funny! If I hear this conversation again, "You're a big poopy head"! "Oh yeah? You're a big, slimmy, hairy booger" again, I'll sign up for the funny farm!
:lmao: Turst me, even a single 6yo find bodily functions HILARIOUS when overtired!

Here's the final deal:

LOVE it! :thumbsup2

CE~ That's really nice. I love Ikea. I can do some serious damage in that store. Good thing the closest one is in Atlanta or I'd be living in one of those flat cardboard boxes they package all their stuff in :laughing:
I hear ya. There's one coming to Tampa soon. I'm doomed.

Morning, Rosie! :goodvibes

~~~~~~~~~~
Morning, all!
TE, the white glove delivery of the TV went really well. They had two guys and a dolly, and they brought it in, got it out of the box and onto the stand, and then turned it on to be sure it was functional.
Here's the final deal:
We're really pleased! The frosted glass was a bit of a worry with the electronic displays behind them, but they're very lightly frosted and I can read the clock, channels, etc. easily through the glass. :thumbsup2 We like these feet a lot better than what came with it, and though we will still need to find a permanent solution for the center speaker (that's the silver bit sitting ON the TV stand) we'll likely try to hang it on the wall.
This unit, though nearly a foot wider, feels less bulky to me, since it doesn't block up the wall. :thumbsup2 It's also less deep, so we have a few more inches of floor space. :banana:
Oh it looks great!! I'm on "standby" this morning---one delivery will be here between 10-2 (TV) and the loveseat between 2-3 (which is right when I'm supposed to get the kids :headache: so I gotta wrangle some family to go get them....and take Ab to the tanning place again :rolleyes: )
Glad the delivery went well for u. My entertainment center won't be here till next week, so they are gonna have to move the current TV off it's stand and replace it. The girls and I tried to move it this am cause DH forgot, and it was too heavy. Hope that's ok with them.
How did u connect?
I bought a surge and HDMI..........but still have my regular satellite box.
Good morning Fockers... :goodvibes
Thank you for all the hugs. :grouphug:
I'm feeling better today. I had a bad day filled with tears and very little patience yesterday. I called K crying at one point. I know he felt really bad. When he got home he took the family out for dinner. by the time we left, I was full, and happy. The kids were such crack-ups. I'm sure the people around us didn't appreciate their humor as much as I did. :rotfl:
So, today is our first of two days of dance pictures. I'm hoping the costume B wears tonight comes out really pretty. It's much cuter than the white ballet costume.
Well, I'm ready to start school. So, I'll check in later! :teacher:
HI all .. wondering if you are taking applications for your team..do i need a physical or anything??? LOL j/k My allergies are killing me today, so the meds are kind of messing with my head.
Anyway i just wanted to say hi, and was wondering if i can join in your chats...
We are counting down to our August trip...we went in February and the kids(and me)just can't wait for August 21 to get here. Will anyone else be down that week?????? Have a great day, looking forward to meeting all of you! <3
V- poor Leo! :hug: I'm glad he's not in pain, though.
CE- I like the new tv and set up! It's very classy looking. :thumbsup2
Dunbar- Heck, my 33 yr old husband had me in tears from laughing so hard yesterday with his dramatic description of fart humor on the way home from dinner. It's not just 6 yr old boys... :sad2:
Good morning, TE! :hug: I can't wait to see pictures! :banana:
Hi girls...
I'm kind of in a sad mood today. My mom was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension about a month ago. I had read up on it a bit, but not a lot because I like to be a positive person and I didn't know to what extent she has it. After her heart cath last month, she said it was mild. I thought that sounds "not too bad", but she's been acting weird.
She's been extra nice, and non-judmental (She's usually pretty hard to take some days). She came to stay over a week or two ago and hang with the kids and me. While it was just DH and I she said she felt the need to clean her house out so we wouldn't have to do it. I thought it was weird, but sometimes she can be dramatic, you know? :confused3
So, finally last night she tells me that her life expectancy is 2-5 years. :sad1: She told me that the disease is fatal and she thought I knew that. I knew something was up. :guilty:
I'm sad today, but I can't talk about it with the kids, because it's silly to worry them. I just pushed it out of my mind last night because it was late when we talked. but today it's getting to me.
I haven't spoken to my dad in years, and my relationship with my brother is really only there because of my mom... I feel like I'm losing my family. :sad1: I just want to cry.
Sorry to be a downer, but I kow this is a safe place I can say what I want and not worry about who I'm talking to getting upset too.
:grouphug: Thanks for listening... :sad1:
hang in there. i'm so sorry :hug: :hug:
CE - The TV and stand look fabulous:thumbsup2
Hope you all have a good day. I am at work, as usual, and my big project for today is cleaning/organizing the supply room.:sad2:
Thanks, and have fun with that project! :rotfl2:
Thanks - I would, too, if we lived just a tad closer. :rotfl:
I bought a surge and HDMI..........but still have my regular satellite box.
Thanks, and I think the delivery guys will be able to do that. :thumbsup2
We traded in our cable box and signed up for the HD channels, then connected to the cable box and surround sound with the HDMI cables. You might just want to call your satellite company and see what they say about receiving the HD signal. We now have about 20 HD channels way up high, then we can view the regular cable channels in widescreen format. All of it looks better. And the HD movies are fantastic!
Yep, his chin doesn't look too bad, and he says is doesn't hurt. :thumbsup2 BUT... he's now got a head-to-toe rash. Near as we can tell, he's allergic to the stupid surgical glue! It never ends. :headache:
Oh, no! V, what a mess. :hug:
Hi, Shannon. :wave: I'm CE, 36, SAHM to twin 6 year old boys, we live in NH. My husband D is a corporate pilot. The boys are code named Buzz & Woody. (I have a very unusual first name. After being "found" via my real name on amazon.com once, I'm very careful about posting it, and D feels weird if I mention the boys' names online. Sorry - just had to explain. ;) )
I'm one of the August trippers on that pre-TR V mentioned as well. :thumbsup2
Welcome to the pool of insanity, jump right on in! :goodvibes
Thanks so much! :goodvibes
Well, I'm sorry, but if no one drives you nuts, I don't know if you can stay... :rolleyes1
TOTALLY KIDDING! :rotfl: (But I am jealous.) Our relatives actually all live fairly far away, so we only get the phone drama, so it's not SO bad.
hey all, been busy, didn't have chance to get online yest. i thought they changed the dining plan and it did not include app or tip. anyone know? we're going in sept for free dining., never had dining before. already booked adr's , although i hate having everything so planned. we always like to just do what feels right for the day!! we'll still have a blast though. don't have time to mulit quote. so a general good day to all :) it's actually bright and sunny here, so i'm going to play outside with my 2yr old. then off to a doctor appt for my dd (7). maybe i'll have time this evening to chat!!
Hi Rachel, have a good day!
They did change the DDP from last year to this year to exclude the app and tip. However, there are starting to be rumors of them being adding BACK to the plan. We used it last year and loved it, went ahead and did it again this year even with the change because of all the character meals, but I will be most happy if the app & tip are put back! :thumbsup2
Ooh, ooh! Where did you hear/read these rumors? I read somewhere (I'm sure the ddp thread) that Disney may "look" at how things are going mid year and possibly make changes. I also took their new found kindness to AP holders as a sign that things weren't going as well as planned.
For our upcoming trip, I have gone from considering the Dxdp for the whole trip to just doing the dxdp for one night (split stay).
