Shhhhh DD here :eek:

I thought that was cricket:confused3
Rounders is played with a long round bat with a bowler and fielders. There are 4 "bases" in a kinda square with a man on each base, you have to hit and get around the bases to get home, so very like baseball but no 3 strikes, or helmets :rotfl2:

Right off to watch Lost :wave2:

I just wanted to stop by and say Hi to everyone!

I hope you are all having a happy mothers day.

The wicked witch at my work quit so that should make work less stressful for me and I take my final for english tomorrow night.

My babies (puppies and kitten) pooled there money and got me nice new running shoes to help my legs get back to running after all of fractures and what not froma few years ago. So that was my "mothers day" present. :lovestruc corny and dorky, but whatev.

I have 4 days to decide on my DVC issues, I canm't decide what to do so it is stressing me out!!

Accident= my mom ran over my legs and stomach with her car when I was 17 ( a week before I turned 18) so its been about 5 years but its still taking a toll on me trying to get back into running shape. Up until I was running at least a mile a day, if not a couple.

Just a sad reminder that our kids grow up in the blink of an eye.

wow, your ptr video was awesome. i have to admit , it made me cry, happy and sad tears. don't know if it's because i'm emotional today or if it's bc i can relate since 2 of my 3 kids are autistic. i know exactly how you feel!!! :hug: :hug:

You must be a tough young lady.:hug: :hug: :hug:

What's the hang up on your DVC ??

Oh I will go into details. I'm alive so it doesn't matter anymore... I've come to grips with it. It was totally an accident. My mom and I joke about it all the time now.

I grew up at my grandmas house.We have 1/2 acre of land that is literally all trees, and there is no really sunny area except for the driveway, so for the last 40 years kids have played there with chalk, bikes, sunning after getting out of the pool etc.
That day was no exception and I was getting some sun since it was July. My mom didn't know I was home and drove up the driveway (a steep hill) and just drove over me.
Funny thing was she traded her van in (which sat her up high since she is 4'11") and got a ford focus which my brother had just said at the light before our house, mommy why did you turn the car off its only a red light. It wasn't turned off, it was just a really quiet car. I never heard it they never saw me. I was fine except for fractures and a crush wound to the leg (just a ton of swelling and bruising) I also had a broken toe, a really bad burn on my ankle bone and there were thank God no stomach injuries.

So all in all I guess I can say yeah, I am pretty tough :cool1:

We totally joke about it now so its all good.

AHHH the dvc. well I am a little leery about putting so much money into it right now when we have some bills we can pay off. I want to start with a small 25-30 point contract since we have the in cash. Financing it is possible and wouldn't hurt our budget at all but I also want to be able to go to rehoboth beach and other places so I think taking baby steps is the key. Hubby wants to buy full in at once.

Thanks for the luck! I will need it...

It doesn't help that I gained a ton of weight... that always makes it harder to run!!!!!

i know what you mean.... i was in shape before i had three kids !!! :confused3

Happy Mothers Day friends!!!

Been running from mom to mom-in-law today and now full of food! Really rainy and stormy here---under tornado watch which reminded me of TX!

HS---tell me about your upcoming Dallas trip! Can you stop by and see my friends near Keller (cause I really miss them!:sad1: )

this is the first i've heard about the tornados. been watching movies today.. hope everyone is okay.
THey came close but they did not cross into our county.

wow, your ptr video was awesome. i have to admit , it made me cry, happy and sad tears. don't know if it's because i'm emotional today or if it's bc i can relate since 2 of my 3 kids are autistic. i know exactly how you feel!!! :hug: :hug:
Thanks... it really started out as something different.. but the song woud not upload for some reason. Guess GOD wanted it that way for "Mother's day. BTW.. maybe it's the hormones :eek:
Yes ma'am they are real/

Tonight= One happy t.v. night! Happy Mother's Day to me!

YIKES... I FORGOT IT'S ON.. BYE GUYS !!!

i'LL BE BACK AND FINISH REPLYING LATER

That is something to be nominated.. Good practice for next year ??
do they have to do anything?? or it is strictly a "beauty pageant??"

DO anything??? :rotfl2:
Uh....well....you have to:
1. shop: need a casual outfit and a formal one (use the same one you wore to prom or switch out with your BFF)
2.. nails---git em done!
3. Hair--git it done too!
4. Makeup---mom will do that---all good southern mothers can do a pageant look in under 20 minutes!
5. Get backstage early to claim your spot---near outlet and something in the band room that can hang up your outfits.
6. Have mom scope out the competition and offer make-up suggestions to them.
7. Understand basic T, criss-cross, and other complicated pageant formations
8. Smile....till it hurts!

But, nothing other than that! :lmao:

:
Was that TE? :rolleyes1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
:rolleyes:
Good luck to her, I didn't realise you all still did beauty pageants!
:eek: Bite yer tongue! What do you mean???
STILL have beauty pageants? Heck, we have them every Friday nite, Sat afternoon, but seldom on Sunday. We have professional pageant moms who can coach your 6 year up to the Miss Mt Empire pageant (which as we know is just a stone step away from the Miss VA pageant, held in Roanoke this year......which I'm sure Katt already has tickets for!)
BA gets asked all the time what color her pageant dress is this year (but in truth, we cut back cause of all the cheerleading) It was green last year, BTW.
OK--------and I have a hysterical story about last nite's pageant..........there were 26 girls..........cut down to 10.....no, Ab did not make the top 10 (but then only 1 freshman made it, and I was sitting with her mom, so I cheered for her).......but anyway, they gave out superlative awards..........best dress..........best hair...........most likely to be in jeans first.........and my Ab <<sniff sniff>> won...........<<drum roll please>>
Most likely to trip and fall!
:rotfl2: I swear! She got a gift and everything! It was hysterical! (But she didn't trip BTW---she just has a known history of that! :lmao: )
can't get the pic to download now--been stormy...will try later.
Oh so you didn't have to do anything :rotfl2:
No talent presentation or speech to give. Just spend a lot of money and smile.
Miss Va is ALWAYS in Roanoke.. which makes no sense.. I think it should rotate in 3-4 different places. Because our Disney Trip ends the NIGHT of the prelims I will probably not be going this year, Sarabeth will go the last night. She need to see how it's done in the "BIG LEAGUES". While Sarabeth has done Pageants... Miss America is a whole nother ball of wax.
She will be old enough to compete for Miss Va Pre-teen next year. She would have been been in the Princess program but once again the Disney Trip.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Sorry !!!!: It is funny... "THERE SHE IS... MISS TRIP AND FALL" I think I would have gotten a little "Miffed"
:lmao: Sorry !
Uh.. if you need a good cry.. visit my PTR.. everyone else that's been there cried.
DD here as well :eek: but i've ridden rnrc and my back is still flat!!!:rotfl2:
O.K. I'll keep that in mind My "Mammies will not push out my back
Like I said you are a tough lady. I can only imagine if I ran over my kid. Thankfully you were not injured worse.
It doesn't help that I gained a ton of weight... that always makes it harder to run!!!!!
BUT REMEMBER WHEN WE RUN THESE B-O-O-B-S HIT US IN THE FACE AND WE CAN NOT SEE WHERE WE ARE GOING.( we also stop traffic) So NO Running.
Happy Mothers Day friends!!!
Been running from mom to mom-in-law today and now full of food! Really rainy and stormy here---under tornado watch which reminded me of TX!
Yeah TE about that tornado stuff... the ladies had us blown away thinking we were dead or houses destroyed. Nice to be worried about. they have been bad here in the commonwealth. Got close.. and that was enough.
