4th grade had their "Field Day" today and they actually had to take the activities inside. It was too hot to do anythign OTHER than the "water games"

Sara got overheated and several other kids did too. Shame.. we had a picnic planned and a lot of other games.. just too hot.

I was melting out there. I just kept telling myself.. "It's practice for Disney...It's practice for Disney"

Katt, I LOL'd at this when I read it.... I was telling myself the same thing!

I wish they had cancelled or rescheduled N's field day! It was AWFUL. SOOO hot. We had dozens of kids sitting in the shade, not feeling well. I wanted to slap the gym teacher who came outside (FROM HER AC'd GYMNASIUM) and said, "Hey come on you lazy bones!! Get up and enjoy field day!!!" Uh, hello, it's heatstroke!

Duh.

Storms just went through. Whew! No tornados here but north, west and south of us.

Janet, hope you stay cool tomorrow. Can't wait to read your updates!

It's super hot here !! Put air conditioners in all the bedrooms and livingroom so at least it's bearable now!I'm off for 3 days now, no plans really but upstairs needs cleaning and as it's cool now I think I'll tackle it tomorrow while the kids are at the fishing derby with DSIL. Then there is a birthday party in the pm which I probably should make an appearance at. Maybe I'll go to eat It's my great nephews but my ex will probably be there and well I'd rather not!! but then I feel bad for DN !! Decisions !! They understand why I don't go and would actually rather I went !! an d that includes ex ( not really) DSISIL !!!Had to differentiate between DSIL !!

Well, let's see... I went to school, got my hair done, hit the mall for some shopping and collected my birthday gift from Sephora and had a casual dinner with my kids and DH. It was perfect!

Tomorrow is the big shin dig - my bro's bday is the 2nd, mine's today and Waldo is tomorrow, so the whole family will go out to a nice dinner.

Yep! that was me! I actually had to wear Steves fleece coat to work!
but its going to be 91 tomorrow which will feel really good, the bummer is with all the rain and cold air the pool is going to be freezing!! its nice and clean too..

Janet I hope your garage sale goes well. We decided to postpone ours. The thought of lugging all that stuff out of the garage and into the driveway only to have no one show because it's 98 degrees... So we'll hope for cooler temps in two weeks. Of course, we still had one woman ring our doorbell at 7:30 last night asking if we had household items or jewelry for sale

except 1 had places to be today.. so did I till Scott VOLUNTERED
to help out and work there today. At least he is getting PAID TO TALK ABOUT TRAINS AND PLAY WITH THEM

I am about to take a trashcan to Sara's room. She has not cleaned it for 3 weeks. She has been grounded for a week and lost her allowance for the past 2 weeks and she just does not care.
So I am probably going to take some drastic measures.

Not been taking my iron supplement like I am supposed to. I HATE PILLS.

The BIG COUNTDOWNS ARE ON... Kids have 1 1/2 days of school and we have

10 days till DISNEY

We have a party for C's friend today, so I'm taking her to that. Other than that, I'm going to do a few projects to get things clean and price my books for the book sale I'm hosting. I'm hoping to go to surgery beforehand and my friend will help me out by taking my books. She's so sweet!

had to sleep in BA's room last nite, as the downstairs heat pump has stopped.......on one of the 4 days it is over 90 degrees here.
They are supposed to come "mid morning" to look at it---probably should take a shower, cause they'll come when I'm not expecting them too.

Morning everyone!

Today we are having a cookout. This will be a challenge as my back doors are still shattered! But, I'm going to the market in a minute to get last minute foods. We're doing a burger bar...burgers with all kinds of toppings! Yummy. I think I can have 1 sm. burger on a light bun with no cheese for 4 pts....Darn WW. Hubby has christened this diet as "NO REST TILL THE FEST...." ha ha ha
It's going to be scary hot and humid here again. I'm trying to think of it as FL prep as Katt said.
