Another question for my Focker peeps...
Tell me about widescreen TVs. I have a 26" regular TV (read: sqaure) and I'm going CRAZAZY with all the widescreen movies & shows. They're reduced so much to fit the width of my screen it's hard to see much of anything. If I select a different format, everything gets distorted. Bleeeh.
So, I'm considering the purchase of an LCD widescreen TV. It would still be a 26" to fit inside my armoire, but I'd be working with a rectangle instead of a square, which I'm presuming will result in widescreen movies/shows actually appearing larger than they do on my current square screen.
A I right about that? Or will there still be a letter-box format? If there's still some letter-boxing, will it at least be larger than it is now?! I swear, I can't go through another football season nor watch another Harry Potter movie in widescreen format with a square screen!
