Hi all!

I've been reading along, but haven't really had time to post. It's that crazy week before school starts that I just dread!

I haven't been able to call Janet, but our last conversation she said she wouldn't be on TFW as she was still unable to see. :confused3

I'll call her tomorrow and post more details. :thumbsup2

Be on the lookout for an update to my TR!. :teeth:

Oh that makes me worry so much about Janet, I pray she gets better very soon. Please let us know when you talk to her.

Since my parents have been here, we've been busy. This morning my mother and I had hot stone pedicures. Lovely! Reid, my sister and my father have the start of a cold so it's Zicam all around for them. Hopefully Mitch and I don't get it. The shuttle launch was scrubbed last night so we may try to make it over to the coast tonight depending on how everyone's feeling. We have a water leak somewhere. It can either be fixed my ripping up the slab and repairing the pipe for $800, which does not include repairing the floor, the house is 40 years old so who knows when another leak will occur, or we can have the whole house re-piped for $4000. I will definitely not be spending my big birthday next year on a cruise.

The pedicure sounds really great! Sorry about the colds and I hope they stay away from you and the rest who aren't getting them. And oh no to the pipes! Neither solutions sound like fun but I hope you can get it fixed quickly.

Not much gong on, I spent a few hours this morning labelling school uniform, Ellie starts big school (secondary) next Friday That means both girls will be gone from the house from 7.20am to 4.30pm what will I do with myself?

I was wondering if your girls started back to school around the same time as us. Can't wait to hear more about how you improve in golf while the girls are gone. :thumbsup2

Hey everybody.

nothing has really changed over here, still sucks a lot. We did go to therapy yesterday, which was good and bad. We were able to be very honest with each other but to a point I don't want because its too hard to hear some things. He really feels he doesn't have feelings for me anymore. We are going back to therapy tho, which I'm hoping is helpful in someway.

Where it stands now we are staying in this house until at least October since we have house guests coming end of September and financially it just can't happen.

The whole things just blows.

If anyone has my # I would love any text msgs u may wish to send.

I need to sleep, I'm not doing much of that these days.

Oh Kat...I am so sorry.:hug::hug::hug::hug:

worked today and getting ready to go to hospital. Girls are busy--cheerleading, etc. Ab gets her license in 30 days and she is really excited. Hard to believe she is a junior.

I booked my plane trip to Paris for next year! (had to do it early do use some frequent flyer miles)---we are flying to CDG....stay 3 nites at Paris Hilton Arc de Triumph (not sure that's spelled right)........driving to Germany......staying 3 nites in an Inn that Daran visted 10 years ago..........driving back to Disney area and staying 2 nites at Marriott with some long French name..........flying outta CDG. I was trying to make all the hotel arrangments and made the mistake of googling "Paris Hilton"-----------don't do that.......no really......don't! We are using up all our Hilton and Marriott points but should be worth it!!

Jo--any thoughts appreciated.......trying to read this stuff is really hard---even the maps are in km which I just can't wrap my head around. And I'm trying to convert EUROS to dollars.........and the Germans seem to not use any decimal points and put ? marks at random spots! (maybe I should use my "Hoofnagle" maiden name---then we could communicate!)

The family room has a german double bed for the parents and a high chair
> bed
> for the children.
> overnight price including breakfast and the use of our wellness area about
220,00 ? per night.
:lmao:

I told the girls that the "high chairs" would be ready for them! :lmao:

:woohoo: for the Paris trip planning. Everything sounds really great!

What's all this European dirty talk going on around here?

I'm dreading picking up B from school today. I have to tell her her whole schedule will be changed in order to change her elective, which was not her idea, but mine.

But, it was absolutely necessary... :sad2: Choir apparently has THREE out of town trips this year, four concerts and many other expenses I wasn't banking on. Also, they base the grade on attendance to these after hours practices and trips. Because of our commitment to dance team, I can't chance that something would fall on the same date. If she misses team more than 3x all year, she's dropped from the team. Which would devastate her.

Dance is her passion snd she can't stand to sing, so... ART it is! No outside school commitments!

I hope she handles it well. I know she didn't have anyone she knew in her classes, so I hope that will be okay. :guilty:

 Sorry about all the changes and I hope B handeld it well. BUt it does sound like a good thing that it was all changed around. Does she know anyone that goes to this school or is all new to her?

Hi Everyone I missed! I miss you tons and tons! I think the DIS has something against my computer, because it's constantly loading super slow... :headache::mad::headache:

Today is our last day of summer activities. Swimming lessons done, next is the final dance camp for TINK. She starts her regular classes in 2 weeks, when preschool begins. I've been working my DS on school stuff everyday, but TODAY marks the 2 week count down and

I have been bouncing for joy... DS got the teacher that we REALLY wanted him to get! She is the rock star of all of the 2nd grade teachers and everyone wants her. She gives each kid a special "pet name" during the school year and knits them hats and mittens for Christmas (she is not married and doesn't have kids). We're really hoping for a much. much better year.

We've missed you to Jen! Thanks for the link. I've been working with both Lindsey and DR these past couple of weeks and haven't minded too much.

Glad you were able to get the teacher you wanted for DS. I'm pleased with who Lindsey got as well. I'm hoping this year will be better for us too.

I have a countdown calendar on my fridge. We are nearing the 30 day mark now. :woohoo:

:woohoo: AWESOME!

 Hi T! Thanks for the Janet update. I hope she's feeling better and will be back here soon.

****************************************************

The picnic with our babysitter was fantastic. We went to a local park and she hot dogs and corn on the cob on the grill. Then she made Linds some really good cupcakes for back to school.

This is the park we went to (we go all the time) and it was such a nice night. Oglebay Park She brought some kick balls for the kids and then a baseball set. The kids played kickball while we ate and then played baseball afterwards. Lindsey and DR then ran down to the playground area and played for about an hour before we had to leave.

They are now both in bed pooped out. Between the end of the day and baths they were done for. LOL

Linds is ready for her 1st day tomorrow. I don't think she's nervous but we'll see in the morning how she is.

I'm off to watch some DVR'd shows. Have a good night everyone.

.........and nope.....Dell only let me have $$$$$$$$.......not even an Indian money sign........not that I know what that is.....maybe it's ^ or *........that's all I got. :sad2:
So that means that English stuff is better than US stuff, right? :rotfl2:

I'm dreading picking up B from school today. I have to tell her her whole schedule will be changed in order to change her elective, which was not her idea, but mine.
I'm sure it'll be fine, will it change immediately?

Jo- Yippee! One month! I'm excited for you!
Thanks :goodvibes and I'm so pleased about your son getting the nice teacher :thumbsup2

I have a countdown calendar on my fridge. We are nearing the 30 day mark now. :woohoo:
Wooohoooo

OMG what did she have?

Linds is ready for her 1st day tomorrow. I don't think she's nervous but we'll see in the morning how she is.
I'm sure she'll be fine :goodvibes

You know I'm going to MNSSHP well we all talked about costumes but as it'll probably be hot still and we dont want to carry big costumes in our luggage we've gone for matching t-shirts. Just from the Disney Store but where you can have your name printed on too, I'm so pleased as I didn't want to wear a big costume :thumbsup2 Do you think people will see us coming as there will be about 50 of us in pink shirts :rotfl2:

Good Morning Fockers!

Lindsey is off for her first day of school! :woohoo: She wasn't nervous at all (well, maybe a little) but once she got there and saw all her friends from last year she did wonderful and went along her merry way.

So now it's just DR and I for the next 7 hours. LOL

Here are a few pics though...

And her forced smile because she thinks her mom is nuts for taking all of these pictures and all she wants to do is talk with her friends...

She's made a few friends from dance and church since we've moved here, so she knows those girls. :thumbsup2 She seems much better this morning. We got to chat with her new math teacher and she was very funny, so I think that helped. :teacher:

Lori- She's a doll. I love the look when she's talking to her friends. :rotfl:

My family said they were coming over to swim this morning and of course, I haven't heard from them. :confused3 No big deal except I haven't done anything yet waiting for them, and yesterday they were supposed to come over when Reid got up from his nap, but ended up going to the outlet mall. Communication is not our strong suit. :rotfl:

I don't think I commented, but I do think it is going to look great. I love home improvements but lately I haven't had the time or money. Please keep us updated.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I woke up this morning and was only able to roll out of bed knowing it was Thursday and that meant I only had one more morning of work this week. It was only while I was in the shower that I realized the error in my logic. In case you didn't know - TODAY IS WEDNESDAY. Needless to say I have been in a funk all morning.

Delta is driving me crazy. THis is the third week of school and he has had two potty accidents, lost his take home folder (still can't find it), lost his $46 check for his lunch money (still can't find it), left his karate bag at school, forgot his planner, has had 3 sad faces, and yesterday he got a sad face for slapping a friend in the face  I sent him to his room until his dad came home and he got mad at me and said he didn't understand why he was in trouble. :headache: :headache: :headache:

DH was running late so I took him to football practice. After practice we ate dinner and DH told him that they were going to have a talk after dinner. He sent him to his room and by the time DH got up there Delta was asleep. So no talkin to last night. I hope he does good today because I have no patients for him right now. :sad2: I am at my wits end with this child. The next time he forgets something I am going old school on him and making him write "I will not forget ______" a hundred times.

So that means that English stuff is better than US stuff, right? :rotfl2:

:

I believe it means other countries are supposed to convert everything to American! :lmao:

How do you write 4,200.00 Euros??? Wondering about the puctuation.

++++++++++++
Dawn---you did the right thing with choir. BA had to switch out of band last year for the same reason--starting in 7th grade, she had to practice out of school and that conflicts with cheerleading. (She wasn't heartbroken---and neither were my ears---screeching flute!

+++++++++
Janet textd me back yesterday and said that she was ok but still with eye problems as T mentioned. Maybe we should all write really big for her! :thumbsup2

+++++++++
Got back from hospital and dad gets to come home this afternoon! He's very happy. He will continue physical therapy at home which is good.

Sounds nice and easy to deal with. I'm going to get one of the shirts too and follow you guys around. ;)

Ooooh please do :yay: I suddenly thought if it had just been you and Mel no hubbies I could have maybe got you free tickets to MNSSHP too!!!

Are you going like this

Now that's a super idea :rotfl2: Sorry about the Delta problems

I believe it means other countries are supposed to convert everything to American! :lmao:

How do you write 4,200.00 Euros??? Wondering about the puctuation.
Whatever :snooty: and I have no idea :rotfl2: I think you don't bother with the decimal bits if they're zero so that would be €4,200 Good news about Janet and your Papa :thumbsup2

 to everyone!

Jo, Dawn, Mel can't wait to see you all!
Mo, I'd love to get together whilst you're here.
Janet, how are you?
Can't wait to see you too!!!!!
Sorry about the pipe repair. That stinks! We had a similar problem in our other house (on a slab) so I feel your pain.

That means both girls will be gone from the house from 7.20am to 4.30pm what will I do with myself? :sad1:
Talk to us, of course! :rotfl:

If anyone has my # I would love any text msgs u may wish to send. :)

I need to sleep, I'm not doing much of that these days.
Sorry things are so messed up, Kat.

I told the girls that the "high chairs" would be ready for them! :lmao:
That's pretty confusing! I tried booking a trip to Austria once, and gave up when I was unable to find out WHAT type of beds we'd have.
It's a big deal to us....:sad2:

Anyone heard from Janet?

When's CE home? I'm missing her!
Not since I texted her on the weekend. She was heading towards home. I hope she's ok.
CE should be home this week sometime, I think.

What this one €€€€€ it's just on my keyboard along with this one £££££ :rotfl2: oh I also have $$$ :rotfl:
I don't have the pounds one but I have the others...

Mel- Great news on the meds and JV Tennis. I hope this is a great school year for your family!

I have been bouncing for joy... DS got the teacher that we REALLY wanted him to get! That's awesome that you got the right teacher! That always makes my year too.

Good Evening!

We can leave our hubbies alone that night. They won't even miss us...:rolleyes1

Hello peeps!
Things are rainy here. I am really glad though, as SD hurt his knee playing tennis and he had his first match today. They've been rained out though so that's good for now.
I had my librarian friend, Laura, over for lunch today. It was great! We had sammies with yummy tomatoes from Bob's garden. And pasta salad, hummus and rice chips. Oh, and I made brownies. Delish. Good friends, yummy food and good conversation always makes my day!

So, what are you guys up to?

Gotta run to go pick up Linds and then stop at the library to pick up some books I had put aside for us.

TTFN! :tigger:

Hi there!

:teeth:

Thanks for keeping us informed on Janet! I hope you survive the next couple of weeks with the school stuff. Are you still going to do Scouts?

I think they are used to big groups in the same t-shirts. They'll just be thinking, "Oh it's some of those people."

Third day of school, and I'm hoping all will settle down today. If I don't have to run to stores, appointments and rehersals tonight, that will help.
I should only have to take B to youth group.

I'm going to try and post my plans on our ptr, but I have to finish making the pictorial directory for dance by tomorrow night, so it may be Friday.

I'm glad things will be going at a slower pace now for you. I'll be checking on the PTR.

My family said they were coming over to swim this morning and of course, I haven't heard from them.

OH MY! Poor Delta! Maybe he just needs time to get adjusted to the schedule.:confused3 That's has to be frustrating.

I do the day mix-up all the time. With my work schedule it's easy.

Loved the chain-gang pic! :rotfl2:

Janet textd me back yesterday and said that she was ok but still with eye problems as T mentioned. Maybe we should all write really big for her!

Got back from hospital and dad gets to come home this afternoon! He's very happy. He will continue physical therapy at home which is good.

:lmao: Poor Janet! I'm glad to see your dad is getting to go home. Are you and your mom going to help with the physical therapy? Or do you have someone coming in to do it?

Hello peeps!
Things are rainy here. I am really glad though, as SD hurt his knee playing tennis and he had his first match today. They've been rained out though so that's good for now.
I had my librarian friend, Laura, over for lunch today. It was great! We had sammies with yummy tomatoes from Bob's garden. And pasta salad, hummus and rice chips. Oh, and I made brownies. Delish. Good friends, yummy food and good conversation always makes my day!

So, what are you guys up to?

Mel

The lunch sounds wonderful. I hope SD's knee is OK now.

Nothing exciting here!

Talk to all later!

Sounds great Dawn, is she enjoying school?

Ooooh please do :yay: I suddenly thought if it had just been you and Mel no hubbies I could have maybe got you free tickets to MNSSHP too!!!
Oops! That's okay, Jo. :goodvibes

She seems to be enjoying school so far. We'll see. :cutie:

Good job, momma.
Oh, and hurry up and update our PTR. Sheesh! :lmao:
:headache:

Look what I found on Disney Shopping! I want to buy this for the kids for Halloween. :yay:

I want that game Dawn! I loved Clue as a kid! How much is it?

Jo- You will find plenty to do... I have faith in you! :thumbsup2
Wait... why are you going to MNSSHP with 50 others?

Angela- I hate waiting around. I feel for you. Maybe you could give your family communication books for Christmas> ;)

Lori- Lindsey looked awesome! I hope she has a fabulous day!

TE- Great News!

Mel- Have you had a dry summer too? I see you want the rain to keep it up.

Deb- Hope the rest of your day was better!:)

Hi to everyone I missed!
-----------------

Now what is wrong with Janet. I could see from FB that she was stuck in FL, ill... what happened? Poor thing!

I've been cleaning all day. Poo! DS is heading to a Sleep Over Tonight and I am supposed to attend an info meeting for Tink's preK. I've been through it several times before, so I'm thinking I may skip.

Laundry folding, putting away is next... ICKY! :headache:

Oh... all you scrap bookers will appreciate this... I have finally completed DS's birth -1 years book! There were a few missing layouts that needed to be completed and I can finally say I'm done... yes, the kid is almost 8! :upsidedow I have a problem with scrapping in order. I do a layout here and there, what ever mood I'm in. I'm weird that way... and many others. :rolleyes1

It's $40. The title is a link, if you want to check it out. I love Clue too, so I thought it would be a good way to play as a family. I'm wondeirng if they'll have it at the parks or if I'll have to order it. It says it's fromt he parks, so I'm guessing they should have it in stock. :confused3 I'd hate for them to run out.

:rotfl:

Maybe we should all write really big for her!

I'm so glad he's home. :thumbsup2

:lovestruc Nothing is better than homegrown tomatoes.

I love it! Maybe I need it for Reid, and put it up for several years. ;)

Hey, it's done! :thumbsup2

My family finally showed up at 11.30 and then at 2.00 they were ready to go to lunch and couldn't understand why I needed to take a bath. Because I'm skunky! :rotfl2: We decided to meet later for dinner. :thumbsup2

Kristel: Perhaps they'll mistake Jo and her friends for a Brazillian touring group?

JenV: Hey, I'm all over the place with scrapping. I don't do anything in order. Just whatever strikes my fancy that day!
Oh, and I wanted it to rain because SD's knee hurt. :goodvibes

Lori: You are blessed to have such a great sitter. :lovestruc

Angela: Yeah, my FIL actually said I shower too much. ROFL! I said, "Hey, if you can stand me that's great. But I can't stand me!" :lmao:

Dawn: Cute! Disney Clue would be FUN! I'm gonna look on Ebay for it!

Who'd I miss?
Oh, Janet's eyes were bothering her before her trip. She was diagnosed with Iriscitis. That's an inflammation of the iris of your eye. I have that. The technical diagnoses of my eye issue is Glaucoma 2nd degree with Iriscitis. That means that the inflammation of my iris caused the eye pressure to go up (normal is around 12 or so) to 70. They did emergency surgery to lower it.
Drops are used to treat Iriscitis. They are prednisone drops (a steroid) which unfortunately RAISES eye pressure. She was doing the drops before she left and the redness and pain were improving for her. Then she called me shortly after she got to FL and said the drops were hurting her really bad. I told her they shouldn't, they should eliminate the pain but she should talk to her Dr.
She later told me when I texted her that she had an upper resp. infection and a sinus infection. She was REALLY sick! She couldn't eat or get out of bed.

I haven't heard since. If she's saying that her eyes are still blurry, that is really a SERIOUS issue. I hope it hasn't caused an eye pressure/glaucoma issue for her.:hug:

I'll call her tonight and see how she is.
