Kristel My "BASS" will be glad to hear she is now a Fish!!!:rotfl2:She has been called much worse :lmao:Sometimes our people have very "colorful language ":rotfl2:

I just repacked my shipping boxes and can get away with 2 !!!!:banana: My suitcas is packed but of course I will be repackinh next week and the week after to double check !!:rotfl2:

Typos are great!!! You should see some of the ones I catch before I post. :rotfl2:

The ex is officially in the land of potatoes. :woohoo: No sign of child support; FL suspended his driver's license due to non-payment, but that doesn't seem to have gotten his attention. Doubt I'll see a penny for a long, long time. Dirtbag. :mad: Leo's feeling a lot less angry about Daddy being gone, though. He finally spoke with him on the phone a few days ago and it went well. Again, PHEW!
Glad Leo is OK and does that mean the ex can't drive anywhere or just Florida?

So does that mean if we wear a pink shirt we can sit in the special section with you ??? :rolleyes1
Maybe :goodvibes and good luck with the new boss!

Just wanted to stop by and say that i love you all so much. it means everything to me that you all care and are offering advice and text msgs and love and hugs in general.
You're welcome :hug:

Janet Update:

She went to the Dr. today. She's out of commission for another week, they want her to see a specialist. Her diagnosis is still iritis.

Please send her lots of virtual hugs and good mojo! :wizard:
Will do, thanks for keeping us in the know :hug:

Woohoo! I had just ordered it 2 days before. That's fast!

These were on sale for $7 and $8. Donald is for Rockie.
Very cute!!!

Ellie had a great time shopping and at the sleepover, we didn't have to pick her up till 10.30am so Jess and I went and played golf first, we were on the first tee at 8am :faint: :rotfl2:

*yawn*
I'm sleepy this morning. I'm glad it's Friday. Of course, we still have to do school, chores and grocery shop. But tomorrow's Saturday! :yay: It'll be nice when the puppy's old enough to sleep in like Riley does with me. Of course, sleeping in for me is 8am!:rolleyes:

I'll check in later, gators! :cutie:

That IS fast! And cute contents! :thumbsup2

Technically, it means he can't drive anywhere. In reality, he just drove to Idaho. :rolleyes:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I spoke too soon; Leo got in trouble at school yesterday. Yes, the third day of school. :headache: Same old story: he talks too much and doesn't listen. I'm open to suggestions - punishment get the point across that school's serious, but doesn't seem to actually solve the problem. I need some TOOLS to help him stay quiet and attentive!
What's the latest on WDW dates around here - I'm feeling the need for a day trip soon and thought I'd see if there's a particularly good weekend coming up! :teeth:
I'm off out for a meal with one of my BFF's we haven't chatted properly for almost 2 months, it could be a long night :rotfl: :wave2:
V, our children must be one in the same. Lindsey's second day was yesterday and I asked if she was good. Nope, apparently she had to pull a straw :confused3 because she was talking to much. :sad2: I think I need some suggestions as well.
Have a great time Jo!
****************************************************
Linds is at school and DR and I just got back from a Target and McD's run. I have about an hour before I need to pick her up. Nothing else excititng is happening in my life. Hope everyone has a good day!
V & Lori, I am having the same trouble with Delta. Hope it is just an adjustment period and that it is over soon.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
DH and I have been adjusting to his new schedule and the kids school schedules and I have been having a difficult time even though he has taken some of the stress away from me. I think I finally figured out why.
When we first got married he did the majority of the parenting of his kids, I mine, and we shared with the parenting of Tau. Then he changed jobs that required a lot more time and so most of the parenting fell on me who works less hours and was closer to home. Being the control freak that I secretly am, I took my new role very seriously.
Now that his hours almost match mine he is wanting some of that parenting responsibility back and I think I am having trouble relinquinshing some of the control back to him. I know it sounds silly but this is hard for me. I think I liked calling all the shots and doing everything my way.
For example, Delta has been getting into trouble at school. I wanted to fix this as soon as I found out. Yet, DH told me to wait until he got home to let him handle it. I know most of you would be thrilled to have a DH that wanted to handle these type things but I was upset that he wanted me to do nothing. Maybe I have overstepped my boundaries as a step-parent, or maybe I am a control freak that needs some serious therapy :laughing: Either way isn't admitting there is a problem the first step to recovery?
Other than that we have been getting ready for our new boss. We took turns sitting in his office with the door closed to see if he could hear normal conversations.
We discussed how we are going to handle 'special situations' that may arise.
We drew straws to see who is going to train him
We drew straws to see whose reports he gets to review first.
And we also set up everyone with instant messaging so that we can communicate secretly.
We are sad. We know.
You guys are making me feel better already; at least it doesn't sound like terribly unusual behavior. Leo's my only one and I've never been around kids, save for when I was one, so I never know how freaked out to be about stuff!
Now that his hours almost match mine he is wanting some of that parenting responsibility back and I think I am having trouble relinquinshing some of the control back to him. I know it sounds silly but this is hard for me. I think I liked calling all the shots and doing everything my way.
Doesn't sound silly to me - I really like being the sole parent as far as active parenting goes!
And we also set up everyone with instant messaging so that we can communicate secretly.
:rotfl2: You've just described my office! :thumbsup2
Hola Fockers!
My, my lots of hugs are needed around here:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:
V - I'm heading to the World soon. The Plan so far is Universal 9/12-13 and then check into BWV late in the day of the 13th and then will be flying home 9/19. PM if you make it up I4;)
Angela - need to PM you....
So last I posted I had poison Ivy, well it got worse, much worse, went back to the Walk In place near work and it was infected, and this DR didn't think it was Poison Ivy so 3 prescriptions later...
Today it's now on my other arm, so I called my internist and left work early. Not sure if I ever told you guys that years ago I got very sick with Sarcoidosis, (it's what all the Ground Zero Workers are getting sick with now). I was sick Christmas 99 and early 2000. Anyhow I haven't been "sick" in years, but my internist (who is also a pulmonologist) thinks that what ever the irrident was, that my compromised immune system went haywire as sarcoid never goes away even if you aren't "sick". So now on top of the other meds, I'm on prednisone, large doses, UGH, watch me blow up now....
Namath is off for an ultrasound tomorrow of his bladder, recent check up showed something up in the urinanalysis UGH!
Today was 90 day mark for my Thanksgiving day trip (yes folks, 90 days until Turkey Day). Got everything I wanted, though I did some online and the rest I had to call at 7, I hate free dining:mad:
Murph is coming over tomorrow to book her airline tix, she wants to try and use her points. She hasn't had the nerve to tell the rest of the family that she is skipping out on T- Day, my one brother honestly won't care, he thinks its great she is so active (he just took her to the Jimmy Buffett concert in AC last weekend), the other skipped Mother's day, so the heck with him I say.(that would be the one I had the huge fight with after his daughter's first communion, and no still really aren't talking and no I don't feel bad either)
Wow I had a lot to say, I'm going to try and get a hold of Janet and check on her myself..
have a great weekend Fockers!
My quotes went POOF! :wizard:
V: That's all very normal behavior for a 1st grader. Limits testing and what-not. I'd say that as the mom to 2 boys, be glad that he's "chatty." Too often boys are quiet and get ignored since teachers are focusing on the "squeaky wheels."
I say explain that the rule at school is to LISTEN to the teacher but that if he has things to say to his friends it has to wait for lunch/recess. He's old enough to get it, but punishment outside school (for something like this) is probably over-kill.
JMHO....
******
I spoke with Janet. She's home still. The reason she can't see to type/tv watch or chat is that they're using Atropine on her. That's the drop the eye dr. uses on you to dialate your eyes to do the exam. She's doing them 3 times a day and won't be able to see squat till they stop (and likely a day or two later than that since they've got her on it so frequently.)
They're still using the Prednisone drops (Predforte) for her Iritis. That is to take down the inflammation and helps with the pain. The dialation drops keep her Iris from opening and closing in varying light, which rests her eye.
She's seeing an eye specialist on Tuesday to make sure there isn't anything else going on.
So far, no worries on Glaucoma or elevated pressures. Thank goodness.
She sounded good. Jim's home till Tuesday when he starts school again, but she's home for at least another week. No driving till she's off Atropine.
:hug::hug::hug:
On this side of the world, my eyes are not doing any better than Janet's. :sad2: Saw Dr. Seigle yesterday and he said the pressure is up again (28) and that he's going to order more surgery. He opted to needle it again (UGH) and see me next week. Our trip is in 3.5 weeks so whenever he decides to do it, it won't be before that! :mad: I'm resigned to the fact that I may be dealing with this for alot longer.
Hope everyone's doing well. I'm home making chicken fingers (Homemade), rice and corn for dinner. Tonight we'll watch a Star Trek movie (we're introducing the kiddos) and have popcorn.
LY MI!!!
I'm glad you were able to talk to her. After all, you're our official fuzzy Focker spoter. ;)
No surgery before our trip! He can poke you in the eye, but he can't stop you from drinking too much at F&W Festival!!! No sir! :snooty:
Mel, thank you so much for the update on Janet :hug:. I hope she can see soon, that has to be so frustrating.
As for you big hugs on your eye issues :grouphug:.
Happy Friday to everyone!
*yawn*
I'm sleepy this morning. I'm glad it's Friday. Of course, we still have to do school, chores and grocery shop. But tomorrow's Saturday! It'll be nice when the puppy's old enough to sleep in like Riley does with me. Of course, sleeping in for me is 8am!:rolleyes:
I'm sorry about Leo's behavior. Hopefully he will settle down once the rountine becomes more familiar.
Oh V, I'd really love to meet you, however, we will only be around from Sunday afernoon to the following Friday. :sad1:
I'm off out for a meal with one of my BFF's we haven't chatted properly for almost 2 months, it could be a long night :rotfl: :wave2:
Well I think it is great that your DH wants to deal with Delta. I can also see how good you 2 are at working together on the issues. The way I see it you aren't so much giving up control as taking on a partner again. I like the sneaky messages idea. :rotfl2:
I hope that the itch and infection are gone in time for your trip. I always have a bad reaction to poison ivy. I have been on prednisone. I stay way clear of the stuff when I see it.
Poor Namath. My fingers are crossed.
Wooohoooo and awww so sweet :rotfl2:
Last night was fun, except she was telling me all about her DH, I knew a little but he's been really sick recently, he keeps twitching and they've found he has serious never damage, still not sure what it is as they're waiting for more tests but he's convinced he's dying :sad1: So prayers and thoughts would be appreciated. Saying that we did have fun though as she wanted to talk/think about other things and have a laugh!!!!
It's beautiful blue skies outside and not sure what the plans are, D is at work but this weekend is a bank holiday so everyone has Monday off work, things is that normally makes everything really busy :sad2: I washed all the windows yesterday, literally hanging out of them :rotfl2: our window cleaner disappeared a while a go and my attempt is no where near as good as what he does so I suppose I need to find a new one!!!
Jess is funny she has made a spreadsheet already for our December trip, written in where she wants to dine etc etc, really don't know where she gets it from :confused: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have a good weekend all my favourite fockers :goodvibes
I talked to Janet yesterday. She sounds good, but will be out of work until at least Oct 1. She is seeing an eye specialist Tuesday (different from her regular eye dr). Keeping busy planning Jimmy's b-day and getting Jimmy back to school.
I'm taking Namath for his ultrasound in about an hour and Murph is coming over later to do some vacation planning and go to lunch.
I bought some work home with leaving early yesterday so I will doing that and laundry this weekend.
If you are in the Northeast this weekend, stay dry!
Later Fockers!
Wow. I didn't realize she'd be out so long. :guilty: Thanks for the update and I hope Namath's tests come out perfectly healthy. Have fun trip planning. :goodvibes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eh... Last night was boring. I enjoyed hanging out with my friend and eating sushi, but the MNO afterwards was boring. Everyone wants to talk about what curriculum they use or techniques for homeschooling, etc. I'm not interested. I don't know if it's because I'm secure in how I do things or if I'm getting burnt out. I'll have to see how this year goes, I guess. :confused3

We dont' have much planned today. Kirt's working until 1pm and Baylie has squad practice from 11-1. We cleaned the house yesterday so we could have family time later. :thumbsup2
