Morning! First day of school and work after a long, happy vacation. All hell is breaking loose now, so I'm glad to have had some time to relax, lol! Hope all is well here.

I started the kids on some workbooks to get them in school mode. Yeah, they really are lovin' that! NOT! :lmao:

Bet I can imagine the scene... I've been doing vocab flashcards with Leo the past few days.:headache:

Morning All!!! Had an interupted night with a STUPID phone call that couldhave waited till this morning !!!:sad2: Then I had a call off this morning !!:sad2:

Would you say Kyle is bored !!!He offered to wash the kitchen floor !!!:lmao:Thank goodness his friend eventually camr ou so now he is HAPPY:banana:
I think the girls are all set for school clothes now , I still have to shorten pants for Kyle .He is sooooo easy !:worship: The school wears uniforms :banana:School supplies are coming along just need 4 more 2" binders for the girls and I refuse to pay Office Max prices !! Anyone know anywhere that might have them cheap!!!????:confused3

try target or walmart. They are having all of their back to school sales and binders are usually pretty cheap if you get the basic types.

I got up early (8:45:lmao:) this morning which is my day to sleep in, so i could have a campus rep conference call. I rushed to vacuum the house and get some coffee before the call at 9. (vacuum because the dog shredded her rubber toy and dog bed and it was EVERYWHERE!) So i called and the code didnt work! :headache: so now we have to reschedule for some other time....and my getting up early was for no reason.

Guess what! I just signed up to be apart of the new disney parks campaign. All i know so far is that they are going on tour around the country with performers and giving out stuff. Ill be the person handing out junk i guess. probably just flyers, but whatever. I get to have a little disney magic and ill get a free jacket. Hopefully ill get to participate. They only take the first 15 people to respond per city, but i dont think there are too many CM's near sacramento. I responded from my iphone so im pretty sure i was one of the first after receiving the email. Unfortunately its not until late january. so itll be a long time off.

now that i dont have a conference call ill have to go study chem. bleh!

Afternoon Fockers!

I'm to lazy to quote this afternoon so :wave2: Hi everyone!

I need to get the kids some lunch and then hop in the shower. My sitter is wanting to take the kids tonight to the park for a picnic. She said I could join so I think I will. She's doing this as a back to school thing for Linds.

Lindsey starts 1st grade tomorrow morning. YAY! She is so excited.

Other than that nothing else is going on. Hope everyone has a good day!

 to everyone!

Jo, Dawn, Mel can't wait to see you all! :cool1:
Mo, I'd love to get together whilst you're here.
Janet, how are you? :upsidedow

Since my parents have been here, we've been busy. This morning my mother and I had hot stone pedicures. Lovely! :lovestruc Reid, my sister and my father have the start of a cold so it's Zicam all around for them. Hopefully Mitch and I don't get it. The shuttle launch was scrubbed last night so we may try to make it over to the coast tonight depending on how everyone's feeling. We have a water leak somewhere. It can either be fixed my ripping up the slab and repairing the pipe for $800, which does not include repairing the floor, the house is 40 years old so who knows when another leak will occur, or we can have the whole house re-piped for $4000. :scared1: I will definitely not be spending my big birthday next year on a cruise. :sad2:

My spidey-sense was tingling. Dawn's talkin' bad about me again! LOL
And it was all bad too :rotfl2:

More drama and more problems with the kitchen... do these things ever go smoothly? :confused3
Will they still be finished Friday?

So is there anything in this book that you don't know?
Lots of course :rolleyes1 It's very good, easily as good as the UG or Passporter :thumbsup2 Love the PJ's idea even better you don't need to get undressed when you get home :rotfl2:

Your pedicure sounds lovely, how does that work? And hope the pipe can be fixed cheaply

Not much gong on, I spent a few hours this morning labelling school uniform, Ellie starts big school (secondary) next Friday  That means both girls will be gone from the house from 7.20am to 4.30pm what will I do with myself? :sad1: :rotfl2:

Hey everybody.

nothing has really changed over here, still sucks a lot. We did go to therapy yesterday, which was good and bad. We were able to be very honest with each other but to a point I don't want because its too hard to hear some things. He really feels he doesn't have feelings for me anymore. We are going back to therapy tho, which I'm hoping is helpful in someway.

Where it stands now we are staying in this house until at least October since we have house guests coming end of September and financially it just can't happen.

The whole things just blows.

If anyone has my # I would love any text msgs u may wish to send. :)

I need to sleep, I'm not doing much of that these days.

   Kat!!

Hi to everyone, I will post later, I just wanted to let Kat know I care about her.

I know!!! You should take up a sport during the day!:lmao:

+++++++++++++
worked today and getting ready to go to hospital. Girls are busy--cheerleading, etc. Ab gets her license in 30 days and she is really excited. Hard to believe she is a junior.

I booked my plane trip to Paris for next year! (had to do it early do use some frequent flyer miles)---we are flying to CDG....stay 3 nites at Paris Hilton Arc de Triumph (not sure that's spelled right)........driving to Germany......staying 3 nites in an Inn that Daran visted 10 years ago..........driving back to Disney area and staying 2 nites at Marriott with some long French name..........flying outta CDG. I was trying to make all the hotel arrangments and made the mistake of googling "Paris Hilton"-----------don't do that.......no really......don't! We are using up all our Hilton and Marriott points but should be worth it!!

Jo--any thoughts appreciated.......trying to read this stuff is really hard---even the maps are in km which I just can't wrap my head around. And I'm trying to convert EUROS to dollars.........and the Germans seem to not use any decimal points and put ? marks at random spots! :lmao: (maybe I should use my "Hoofnagle" maiden name---then we could communicate!)

The family room has a german double bed for the parents and a high chair
> bed
> for the children.
> overnight price including breakfast and the use of our wellness area about
220,00 ? per night.
:lmao:

I told the girls that the "high chairs" would be ready for them! :lmao:

Oooh great idea, what do you suggest? :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Ummmm I've been to both France and Germany several times but doubt I can be much help :rotfl2:

I told the girls that the "high chairs" would be ready for them! :lmao:
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Be warned European hotel rooms are much smaller than US ones, well everything is smaller, meals etc!

Anyone heard from Janet?

When's CE home? I'm missing her!

Oooh great idea, what do you suggest? :rolleyes1:rotfl2:!
Hmmm......I've heard trampolining can be a lot of fun...AND work off calories if done for an extended time period! :teacher: :lmao:

Yeah, we are getting 2 rooms at the Hilton as they won't let 4 people be in 1 room...must be pretty small. The Marriott is a time share property---2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths......and only 161.....EUROS which is about $225 or something without points. I thought that was a good deal. Hey---How do you make the little E for Euros sign?

Anyone heard from Janet?

When's CE home? I'm missing her!

just tried to text Janet and got no response yet. Anyone else heard??

I'm sure David would support that choice of sport :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

What this one €€€€€ it's just on my keyboard along with this one £££££ :rotfl2: oh I also have $$$ :rotfl:

Well, we'll need all the details of your new sport----and if you win any awards, we'll be the first to congratulate you both! :lmao:

.........and nope.....Dell only let me have $$$$$$$$.......not even an Indian money sign........not that I know what that is.....maybe it's ^ or *........that's all I got. :sad2:

What's all this European dirty talk going on around here?

I'm dreading picking up B from school today. I have to tell her her whole schedule will be changed in order to change her elective, which was not her idea, but mine.

But, it was absolutely necessary... :sad2: Choir apparently has THREE out of town trips this year, four concerts and many other expenses I wasn't banking on. Also, they base the grade on attendance to these after hours practices and trips. Because of our commitment to dance team, I can't chance that something would fall on the same date. If she misses team more than 3x all year, she's dropped from the team. Which would devastate her.

Dance is her passion snd she can't stand to sing, so... ART it is! No outside school commitments!

I hope she handles it well. I know she didn't have anyone she knew in her classes, so I hope that will be okay. :guilty:

Kristel - I love your outdoors project! The work you have already done looks amazing! I can;t wait to see the finished work.

Jo- Yippee! One month! I'm excited for you!

TE- Great to hear that your step daddy is stable. to you!

V & T- I too have been working the kiddo on school stuff. Our teachers will thank us! BTW- I have a great site I use to print my own math sheets. TRY IT OUT

Dawn- I agree on the choir. I am sure Baylee is crafty like you and will love art!

Mel- Great news on the meds and JV Tennis. I hope this is a great school year for your family!

Angela- A hot stone pedi?!? That sounds to die for!

Kat- I am really, really sorry about the junk that going on.:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Hi Everyone I missed! I miss you tons and tons! I think the DIS has something against my computer, because it's constantly loading super slow... :headache::mad::headache:

Today is our last day of summer activities. Swimming lessons done, next is the final dance camp for TINK. She starts her regular classes in 2 weeks, when preschool begins. I've been working my DS on school stuff everyday, but TODAY marks the 2 week count down and

I have been bouncing for joy... DS got the teacher that we REALLY wanted him to get! She is the rock star of all of the 2nd grade teachers and everyone wants her. She gives each kid a special "pet name" during the school year and knits them hats and mittens for Christmas (she is not married and doesn't have kids). We're really hoping for a much. much better year.

Good Evening!

V is busy but stopped in to say ‘Hi’!

ROSIE said Kyle was so bored he offered to do chores. She needs 4-2” binders.

I can’t believe he was that bored! Way too funny. I say Walmart would be cheaper.

CEL BEL got up early for a conference call that didn’t work. She signed up for a new Disney campaign. She thinks she will be helping with flyers. She had to study for Chemistry!

Let us know about the Disney thing when you find out anything. Good luck with the chemistry. ACK!

LORI went to the park with the babysitter and the kids to celebrate Lind’s going to 1st grade.

I hope the picnic was fun and yummy.

ANGELA is busy with mom and dad. Reid, her sis, and her dad are getting colds. There house has a water leak under the slab which will be costly to repair.

Oh no! I always feared that happening in my other home. What a pain!

JO is labeling uniforms. The girls will be away at school all day at the same time.

Well, if you get bored, take a cue from Kyle and clean the floors!

KAT says that the therapy with KC was hard. She is super bummed. They are going back for another session.

Are you sure you can make it to October emotionally if things don’t improve? This is so tough. I’m sorry that you are hurting.

TE is getting her European trip planned. She found out that the money thing isn’t the same as here. They have high chairs for the girls, beds that is.

Sounds exciting.

DAWN had to change B’s curriculum around. Who knew singing could be so expensive? Dance is more important. Art classes are cheaper. She had to tell B this after her first day.

I hope she did OK with the other kids. It’s hard to be the new one. I’d take art over singing any day.

JV has missed us and says the DIS doesn’t like her computer. It’s the last day of the summer run. Swimming is done and Tink is just about done with the summer dance. 2 weeks until the regular school schedule starts for them. Her DS got a great teacher for this year.

I’m glad you are thrilled with this teacher. I’m sure it will be a good year for all of you. It’ll be good to see you back here too!!! You aren't the only one experiencing the slow down with the DIS.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Thanks for all the compliments on the patio and the PJ idea.

I am bored at work. We are still in shut-down. I think it will be a few more days until everything is up and running.

I have a countdown calendar on my fridge. We are nearing the 30 day mark now. :woohoo:

I hope we hear from Janet soon too!!!

:grouphug: to all!
