Oh Jen 1~~~Tink is my kinda gal. Spunky. And I can say that...because she's your kid and not mine! ;)

Oh yea...talked to my guide for DVC today...

The incentives right now are da bomb.

But....with all of the change right now in our lives...I don't think it's a wise decision right now.

But, they are waving all but $500 of the down payment...which for us would be almost $2000. :eek:

Geez...life is getting in the way of my DVC.

Evening friends!

I love your dress, CE! So sexy!
T: Glad you're ok! :thumbsup2
G-luv: SO glad you got the DQ to do the right thing!

Nothing fun going on here. Dh got home around 8 pm. Grabbed the kiddos from their friends and made dinner at 830 pm! Yikes! Well, at least I got the cupboards in my scrapbooking room cleaned out! Yay me...:rotfl:

Had to pop in to say that the IL's called and they TOTALLY dodged the whole "when are you arriving" question. They purposely called before DH got home, and when I told him what they said (we don't know, we can't be sure, blah blah blah) HE WAS LIVID.

He called them and told them to come in Sept. or not at all. Then afterwards he said, "There." I was like, What? There What?! He said, so it's settled. I don't get how it's settled??? :confused3 I still have no idea when they're coming! And neither does he. He was frustrated with me when I told him that and asked me what I wanted!? Uh, I told you!!!

And I still don't have it. I have no idea when they're coming. :confused:

So, I'm going to start packing for WDW tomorrow. I am calling the sitter in the a.m. and setting her up. And then I'm going to party with my Fockers!
Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll go back to FL without coming to MI....

Greetings from the land of SHAKE and bake! :wave:

Wholly cow! It was quite an afternoon! I surfed that quake like a PRO! :cool1:

We're roughly 15 miles from the epicenter - and boy we felt it! Nothing like a good quake to get your blood going. V's right, I love them quakes, as long as they're not TOO strong.

Thanks for worring about me, Fockers!

LY! :hug:

Glad to hear you're okay, T. But can I put in a request for NO EARTHQUAKES when we're there?? That's late January 2009. Okay?? :rotfl2:

Hi CE. I will PM you if V starts the new thread tomorrow or whenever.

Thank you! :hug:

But, darn...a few nights at the Poly sounds really good right about now. ;)

Oooh....

But you're wise.

And I'm glad they owned up. :thumbsup2

Greetings from the land of SHAKE and bake! :wave:

Glad you're well, T! :hug:

CE- You are gonna be one hot momma! Wrap dress too, very flattering. :thumbsup2

Thanks! It does hide my flabby belly very well. :lmao:

Tink is so fun - when you don't live with her. ;)

Geez...life is getting in the way of my DVC.

Darn that life. :hug:

I love your dress, CE! So sexy!

Thanks! It's a shame D's not going to be there!:rotfl:

I'm sorry. :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My dearest and oldest friend, (Dr. Belle, from my TR and general conversation), came after dinner and brought me books and gossiped and just now left. I've seen her every day this week. I love having that time with her. :lovestruc
The boys have haircuts ($5 - a benefit of a tiny town) tomorrow morning. My mom is taking grandpa to a couple of previously scheduled appointments (oncology and such) and then the CAT scan from the fall as well. So, I think we'll have a quiet day. :thumbsup2 We may have lunch with Dr. Belle, and then I may see if my cousin wants to get together. She has two kids of her own and is raising her niece (her older sister's kid - long story...) and the boys always like to see them, though they're older now. I think the boys are 9 and 11 and the niece is going to be 13 soon.
Anyway, have a good early morning, everyone! :goodvibes
Not mean :hug: How much longer are you there for?
I go home next Thursday, about the 7th August!
Jo- How old are Em's kids? Are they excited to be moving? Are they school age? If so will her work give her $$ towards schooling? I have heard the schools in NYC are very competitive with wait lists and such.
Emma's kids are very young, Ben is 5.5 months and Ollie is 16 Months, so no excitement from them :rotfl2:
Yesterday the girls dance teacher called and told me that she's being featured in a magazine that highlights women business owners in our town. She wants C's class to come today and be in the photoshoot with her. How fun! I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the magazine with my baby in it!
Wow how cool, take a photo of it when you get it please!
Jo how am I enjoying Lowestoft??
Rosie you're being pretty lazy, just chilling round the pool mostly :rotfl2:
Leo fell off his horse yesterday. :headache: And I need to know if I'm being over-protective:
They should definitely have told you :headache: How is he now?
No, the IL's didn't call yet. We just got back from swimming lessons. Gus said the funniest thing! I asked how he thinks it's going and he replied, " It's going great. Except that my butt keeps sinking. You'd think it would float it's so round?!"
Ha!
:rotfl2:
ETA: Just heard from T - all is well there!
Phew, thank goodness!
Nope.
Tink did it.
Appears she pushed just the right concoction of buttons to turn the screen.
Go figure!
Wow she's one clever girl :rotfl2:
Ok who knew calling to make a postponement on jury duty would actually work!? I was hoping to plead that I have a pending disability hearing and want to postpone till after it.... the guys like "sure pick a date!" so November is it! Saves me the stress of going tomorrow!!! .
:yay:
Hello strangers! How's is hangin?
I just hopped on and saw the rumored CS dining plan for 09. 2CS, 2 snacks, and a mug for $26....sounds pretty good to me.
Hi K :wave2: The UK guests have been able to buy that DDP for a while now, it starts for trips in January!
Mom & I both found dresses at the Coldwater Creek outlet. I wasn't going to get one if she found one, but this was on super sale and really cute. It's a chocolate brown, which then meant new shoes, too, as I only brought black...
Lovely dress CE and wow those are some killer heels :rotfl2:
OK...so here's an update on our DQ situation.
Good result!
T you are one crazy Mama :rotfl2: Glad you're all OK :hug:
We're off to the beach today, that'll be fun with the boys :rotfl2: Ellie just loves the sea and luckily my Dad swims with her, too cold and brown for me :rotfl2:
BTW sorry I'm not catching up on any TR's, just here and the 86'd thread!
OK...so here's an update on our DQ situation.
They will be paying for Jon's medical bills (all of it...including what insurance pays), gas expenses, and they reimbursed my meals.
They wanted me to sign an incident report...and when I asked to take it with me to have my lawyer look over it...they offered to throw in emotional compensation.
So, on top of our expenses...they offered to throw in $1000 compensatory damages.
I'm going to put it in Jon's college fund...all of it.
But, darn...a few nights at the Poly sounds really good right about now. ;)
As soon as you said lawyer, they thought lawsuit ::yes::
Nice that they knew they were wrong though!:thumbsup2
LY! :hug:
How do the kids react? HAve they been through any before?
My dh decided to go out for a run...just when the kids were hitting the bath and shower. Thanks! I wanted to spend a little mom time catching up on my TR's. Nope! Noah brought is ark, because Tink decided to empty the contents of the tub on the floor. I wasn't sitting in the bathroom, instead just outside of it in a chair. I though she was filling cups on the tub ledge. Nope. She was PRETENDING to fill the cups, whilst she dumped the water on the floor. :rolleyes: :headache:
TINK! :headache: :headache:
Ummmm, can I say she is cutie...but I'm glad she lives at YOUR house;) :lmao:
Just so what your doing and plan like they aren't coming. If they decide to come, won't they be surprised if you aren't there;)
HAve fun CE. When do you go home?
Got it!:thumbsup2
Brown:confused: :scared:
BTW Jo, how did dinner with your mom go?
Good morning, ladies!
Tink! :lmao: Sorry, Jen, that's funny when it's not my kid! Did you mean to say DS's name? :confused:
Jen2- I'm glad they are going to compensate you for their screw up. That'll be nice to have for Jon's college fund. ::yes::
CE- Have a nice, quiet day. :goodvibes
T- You're quite the lady. I've never heard of someone enjoying a shake up! :sad2: ;)
Jo- We miss you! When are you headed home again? :flower3:
I'm sure there's more, but I need to head out to my post-op appt. I have a long list of questions. :upsidedow
I also have to go sign papers so we can close on our house Friday (refinancing). Mom called and said her doctor had an emergency, so she had to postpone my mom's surgery until next week. So, I guess I will be home tomorrow after all. :rolleyes:
Jo- I am concerned by the brown sea water...? What is that from?
CE- I love that you get to see old friends. I bet that makes your trip even better!
Mel- What's up with you IL's? What is so hard for them to narrow down a visit? Do they expect to show up when ever???
ooouuu--- You cleaned your scrap room. :thumbsup2 A lot of work that can be!
Morning Fockers ! Did a quick catch up till no internet DD is setting the new one up today hopefully~!This a.m. I am at the laundromat where they have free internet ! It,s just up the road from me and I believe is open 24/7 !!
Jo I like chillin by the pool!!Can't wait to go to Disney though! Am still undeciided about my solo trip next year whether to go in March or May!! Come on Fockers HELP!!!!
Lovely dress CE and wow those are some killer heels :rotfl2:
I know. I'll probably fall down. :rotfl:
Me, too, Jo. :goodvibes
HAve fun CE. When do you go home?
Looks like Jo & I will be arriving home at close to the same time. I THINK I'll leave here early in the a.m. on Tuesday, 8/5. That should put me home early afternoon on the 6th because we'll stop overnight instead of driving through like D & I do. The only other possibility would be to leave Monday the 4th if that somehow would work out better for mom having a "window" between my grandparents' doctor stuff. Woody has a filling scheduled for 8/7, so we have to be home before then! ;)
CE- Have a nice, quiet day. :goodvibes
Thanks, Dawn. :goodvibes Don't get a hand cramp from the signing. I once closed on a refi when D was out of town and so I had his Power of Attorney. I had to sign everything twice, once for me and once for him. :faint:
CE- I love that you get to see old friends. I bet that makes your trip even better!
It really does. :goodvibes The last few times we've been here, we've blown through in about 2 days, so no time for friends. Tomorrow I'm seeing the friend whose wedding I was in back in 2/2007 :thumbsup2 (one of the times we blew through in 2 days...) I see my parents fairly often because they come to us, but the friends... This is great!
Not that I've been nearly as much as some, but here's my two cents:
We really loved May. It was warm but not terribly hot, and really not humid. The crowds were low, even over Memorial Day weekend. I have friends (who have DVC) who have gone every year from roughly 5/10 to 5/20 and they RAVE about the crowd levels and also the Flower & Garden Festival at that time.
Solely going on rumor, I have heard that March can be tricky as far as avoiding spring breakers.
That's all I've got, but I'm voting for May! :goodvibes
Sorry Fockers, busy morning here so I can't reply, but I'm caught up and it sounds like maybe things are looking up around here today! :grouphug:
Hey fellow Fockers! Life's been getting in the way of my DISing...
For shame!
Anyway, I've missed a whole bunch of stuff so maybe someone can fill me in (again....:confused3 ) Seems like the umpteenth time I've asked so I understand if I get no response :lmao:
Today makes 45 days for me! I am officially paying that sucker off at lunch (talk about last minute eh? :eek:) and I'm so excited!!!
I know what you mean. This past weekend was nice because we actually saw everyone we wanted to see. We didn't spend too much time with my parents, but that's okay because we see them more often anyway.
--------
Well, day # 3 of camp and I got the playroom painted again. I did the first coat back on July 4th, but realized a week or so ago that it really needed another coat. So, I dropped the girls off and came home to paint. It didn't take long at all. I've even showered and eaten lunch and I don't need to leave to pick up DD4 for another 15 minutes!
Not sure what we're doing this afternoon. The girls want to go to the Y pool, but it looks like it might be raining all afternoon. Maybe we'll stop at the library and see about getting some movies....
