LOL, should we even bother to wait for it to hit 250 (which, I'm guessing, will happen sometime TONIGHT at the rate we're going!), or just start anew right now?!

I think wait until we hit 250 (or at least 249) We don't want the curse following us:scared:

Well thank god T is ok!

Maybe we should just start a new thread..... man we really do chatter on huh?

I'm with Tanya, just point me in the direction and I "SHOULD" be able to locate the X.

I am glad to hear T is okay. I am a bit concerned that she LIKES the earthquakes though. :rolleyes1 :confused3

Funny story, before we move...

I did some laundry and stuff, came back to the laptop to find that the screen was....

:upsidedow UPSIDE DOWN:upsidedow

I promptly yelled for my DH (who is STILL working from home, err. I mean playing tennis with ds and filling up the kids pool;) ). I thought FORSURE he was playing a trick on me.

Nope.

Tink did it.

Appears she pushed just the right concoction of buttons to turn the screen.

Go figure! :rolleyes:

If you ever need to play a joke on some, that would be a great trick! :laughing:

:confused3 I'm game for either way.

Since Katt's busy... Should I stay or should I go now? If go there will be trouble. If I stay it will be double...

Hey, maybe that's our answer! :lmao:

Ok who knew calling to make a postponement on jury duty would actually work!? I was hoping to plead that I have a pending disability hearing and want to postpone till after it.... the guys like "sure pick a date!" so November is it! Saves me the stress of going tomorrow!!!

:banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

I'm a happy camper right now! I'm going to make some chili and some blueberry muffins.

I'm leaving for Atlanta tomorrow for a work conference--prayers for me. Gonna drive by myself--about 6 hours if you pretend Atlanta has no traffic!

What's up with everyone?

TE - I didn't read this yesterday. If you check in tonight, pm me for my cell. We can meet for dinner if you have time.

Hello strangers! How's is hangin?

I just hopped on and saw the rumored CS dining plan for 09. 2CS, 2 snacks, and a mug for $26....sounds pretty good to me.

Hi there! That is a great deal! I hope it is true. But I wonder if they would still have a dining plan similar to now? :confused3

Kat- Great news! But, I think I'd rather go in Jan/Feb when it it too darn cold to do anything else. Too bad we can't choose when we are called to do it.

Tanya- LOVE the siggie! You earned that title fair and square girlfriend! (thanks for always helping me). :)

you are too sweet girlie :)

V, that would drive me nuts.

Glad T's OK - missed that bit out here in the sticks.

Kat, congrats on the postponement.

Mel, sorry. D of course travels constantly, but he's only ever gone 3 weeks if they get a new plane and he goes for training. Yikes. D likes China a lot, though. :thumbsup2

Hi S'late!

Dawn, good luck with your decision. :hug:

Someone PM me if we start a new thread - I am checking in infrequently enough that I'd be worried about missing it. ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, the shopping was successful. We picked up Old Navy pants (there's an outlet mall roughly 20 miles from here :thumbsup2 ) and shirts there, too. The boys got it in their heads that they wanted ties, so those came from Wal-Mart.
Mom & I both found dresses at the Coldwater Creek outlet. I wasn't going to get one if she found one, but this was on super sale and really cute. It's a chocolate brown, which then meant new shoes, too, as I only brought black... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: The shoes are very high-heeled - something I don't normally do, as I'm 5'10" anyway and slightly taller than D. But he's not here, and these have to be at least a 3" - maybe 4" - heel. I'm sexy! :rotfl:
Here's the dress: http://www.coldwatercreek.com/Products/Product.aspx?productid=41316&ensembleid=47230&Skn=outlet
And here are the shoes, but mine are brown:
Anyway, that was all good. I also bought some undies. :rotfl:
I should go see what the kids are doing... Catch you later!
ETA: Just heard from T - all is well there!
Whooooo. Thank goodness.
Glad you're ok T!!! :hug: Although it's sorta weird that you like earthquakes. :eek:
:lmao: Tink is a genius!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

OK...so here's an update on our DQ situation.

They will be paying for Jon's medical bills (all of it...including what insurance pays), gas expenses, and they reimbursed my meals.

They wanted me to sign an incident report...and when I asked to take it with me to have my lawyer look over it...they offered to throw in emotional compensation.

:confused3

So, on top of our expenses...they offered to throw in $1000 compensatory damages.

I'm going to put it in Jon's college fund...all of it.

But, darn...a few nights at the Poly sounds really good right about now. ;)

Greetings from the land of SHAKE and bake! :wave:

Wholly cow! It was quite an afternoon! I surfed that quake like a PRO! :cool1:

We're roughly 15 miles from the epicenter - and boy we felt it! Nothing like a good quake to get your blood going. V's right, I love them quakes, as long as they're not TOO strong.

Thanks for worring about me, Fockers!

LY! :hug:

CE- You are gonna be one hot momma! Wrap dress too, very flattering. :thumbsup2

T- Safe and sound, Mrs. Shake and bake. :thumbsup2 Now what is it about the shaken, do you like?

Jen, Jen- Glad to hear DQ did the right thing!

My dh decided to go out for a run...just when the kids were hitting the bath and shower. Thanks! I wanted to spend a little mom time catching up on my TR's. Nope! Noah brought is ark, because Tink decided to empty the contents of the tub on the floor. I wasn't sitting in the bathroom, instead just outside of it in a chair. I though she was filling cups on the tub ledge. Nope. She was PRETENDING to fill the cups, whilst she dumped the water on the floor. :rolleyes: :headache:

TINK! :headache: :headache:
