Jo, as a former server, I couldn't agree more. I was hesitant to work the weekly buffet brunch at my restaurant, figuring on way less in tips. In fact, the sheer volume of tables moving through just about made up for the lower tip amount per table. And SO much less physical work! It wound up being a nice break from the Fri. and Sat. night madness.
Phew, glad I'm not the only one to think that way!

Leo's home!!!!
:yay: :yay: :yay:

Still excruciatingly HOT down here. WHY are we meeting at WDW in August?!?! Oh yeah, Jo's fault. LY/MI!!!
And you all love me for it :rotfl2:

he ended it by killing himself and his four year old son.
OMG that is horrendous, why take the child too?

Oh yeah, There'll be some re-programming , for sure! ;) Chekc this one out... he let him watch JAWS!!!! And here I was all worried it would be Batman.
What!!!! OMG that movie scares me even now :sad2:

They did cut him a "Break" and reduced the mileage a little.. so no or for less points on the old liscence. Still... $5.00 for every mile over .. Grand Total is... $75.00
Hmph.. and he is always telling ME to slow down. Where he got nailed in a KNOWN SPEED TRAP :sad2:
Whoops at least they reduced it a bit!

Hi all! I am in Harrisburg for a training and I AM BOREDOUT OF MY mind, but I have internet access so it is bearable. We are only supposed to be here until 2:00pm.
Well at least you can DIS :thumbsup2

You have to post lots between now and then ::yes::
Well if you insist :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

D & I may go try to play tennis at the park nearby, though.
For a change, anyone would think you like tennis or something ;) :rotfl2:

I just got a call from a market research company which I do "paid studies" for. I qualified in every question...BUT AGE! They were looking for young adult woman.:confused3 I am now considered to be in the older adult category. :sad2: What!~ I mean, yes I am getting some greys here and there, but I still got my grove on, dress fairly "in style", dine at "posh" restaurants (when I can...well I guess, only from time to time) and I'm only 35! Next they'll through me in with the grannies. ;) (no offense to any grannies).

Bummer... I could of used some extra WDW cash.
I do a few surveys for cash and when I hit 35 I went into the next age bracket too :sad2:

I survived Walmart. I was beat, but B's so sweet :lovestruc , she carried all the groceries in and I made the kids help put things away.
You've trained them well :goodvibes

OK...I updated my TR again...

I expect many witty comments and accolades.
Again!!!! Wow you're on a roll Missy!

The keylime pie was delicious, a bit rich but that might have been the carton of double cream and tin of condensed milk in it :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Tomorrow is Lady Captains Day at the golf club so it's a free competition with prizes followed by a small meal and drinks, should be fun!

Some power outages due to a heat wave. We have been lucky tho nothing out so far. I'm just trying to keep the power to a minimum.
Hope you don't get effected

So sorry! One of my 1st boyfriends killed himself a bunch of years back. i don't get it either, at all. I'd rather be depressed than even consider it.
Another one :sad2: I wouldn't have the guts to do it:sad2:

I went to look for new TR's (like I need anymore) and found one by a girl who turns out to be from a circle of pen pals I used to be in that started from fans of the New MMC (circa 1994 ish)! I was really excited about finding her!
How great :goodvibes

OK listen...I"m pricing Christmas airfare. And for real people...I will be paying per person what I normally pay for both Jon and I round-trip.

What is up?

I'm looking at at least $400-500 per person.

Can someone explain this to me?

Holiday's + Fuel =
money1.gif

What was bad is those that had booked tickets BEFORE this Fuel Hike.. getting hit with Fuel surcharges when they go to check in.

Did not happen to us in June.. but it did happen on some flights.
Or they were just being SNEAKY and charging us for extra luggage.
( it was tough but we avoided that as well)

Leo's home!!!! :yay:
That is great. Good luck with the de-programing

And the worst.. THIS IS BAD GUYS...

A lady I am in choir with... her husband committed suicide yesterday . Their daughter was in with their new grandbaby and they were having a family reunion... he left early to "Check on the store" (they own a "Feed and Seed") and he killed himself there.

HOW DO PEOPLE LOSE ALL SENSE OF HOPE... that this looks like it will END all your PROBLEMS ??
This is very sad. I do not know how someone reaches this point. Here is a  and all will be in my prayers.

Tomorrow is the dreaded "needling" at the Glaucoma Drs. I have done a pretty good job of putting it out of my head till now. I tossed and turned all night. :guilty: I really don't want them to have to do surgery again though, so I guess I'd better toughen up. I think today I will take the boys swimming at the lake. I don't think I'll be up for it for a week or so after tomorrow.
MEL:banana:
Hope all goes well .

Well, DD4 seems to be totally better this morning, although she's still milking it a bit.
Glad she is doing better.
****************************************************
It is hot here but the heat is supposed to break. It is going to go down to 60 tonight. I will be able to turn of the air :yay:.

Jen- Airfare is CRAZY! A little birdie (NWA Exec) told me to book any airfare we are wanting through next year. They are raising airfare 25% by fall and another 25% by early winter. YIKES!:scared1: I have our Nov./Dec trip booked, but trying to book flights for our winter (non WDW trip... I know GASP).

Jo- So is a tin of condensed milk, a can as we refer to it as? I bet the pie was superb! My DH LOVES him some KL Pie!

Dawn- Good for you for getting your youngins and yourself out of the house for a bit. Now you go and enjoy your peace and quite, without munchkins.

Katt- When are your Disneyfying yourself again?

Kat- New TR's. Yippee! That will keep you busy! :thumbsup2

Yep we call canned goods a tin :)

OMG my DSis Emma has just called to say she is moving to New York ASAP :faint: :sad::sad:

Kat she wants to know the nicest parts of NY to move to!

And another ? She has $7,500 a month to spend on rental! The office is at Grand Central Station (I think) and she only wants to be about 30mins by train away!

Also do US real estate people work weekends?

Definitely. But I would call and make a weekend appointment with a realtor on a weekday because their administrative staff may not be in the office on weekends. A lot of open houses, etc. are on the weekends though, so they do work on Saturday and Sunday.

I thought they would be, her company has relocation people but she wants to do a visit in a few weeks time so wanted to know!

Kat and/or Scott can tell you for sure, but that sounds like it should get her a nice place, even in NYC. Now, if she were moving to Indiana, she could get herself quite a place for that!!!! I'm imagining 10,000 sq feet, huge estate with a pool, barn with horses, etc.

can I be here friend...LOL.. that will probably get her a really nice place, esp if she is willing to be 30 min away by train, that gives you nice options.

TE- I'm planning a trip in December to DFW to go to American Girl stuff and go to the Book Depository. I wish you were still there!!! :sad1:

Is anyone watching So You Think You Can Dance? I know V likes dance shows... B's dance team planning on going to the convention that several of the choreographers from SYTYCD are doing this year. How fun will that be?! :dance3:

Dang...it's slow around here today.

That's it. Just thought I'd put that out there.

HI! Hope you didn't go too nuts being bored. My day got more interesting... out of boredom I went to look for new TR's (like I need anymore) and found one by a girl who turns out to be from a circle of pen pals I used to be in that started from fans of the New MMC (circa 1994 ish)! I was really excited about finding her!

That's the kids' game. I'm playing Build in Time. I've been through all the levels now I'm playing until I get expert on all the levels. :cutie: :surfweb:

I haven't tried that one yet

No joke... Our payment is about $1400 and ours in a 1750 sq ft. with a three car garage in a nice neighborhood.

:scared1: 1400.00 ??

Now our house is older.. built 1977... 2000 square feet But we pay $680.00 a month. It has...
5 bedrooms or 4 + office( one is really small.. that's where Scott's office/trainroom is) 2 full baths.. diningroom ..etc.
Split foyer brick and Vinyl.

Our house was built in 2001, is about 2700 sq feet and we pay slightly less than $1000 per month. Our yard is somewhat small (1/4 acre), but we live in a great neighborhood though and our house is not on top of our neighbor's, if you know what I mean.

What's amazing to us is that we built our house here in Indy for less than what we sold our townhouse for in suburban DC!! Can I just say that I love Indiana!!!!! In fact, I checked recently and a townhouse in our old neighborhood in Fairfax County was going for almost half a million now!!! I can only wish we would have held on to it as an investment!
