A lady I am in choir with... her husband committed suicide yesterday . Their daughter was in with their new grandbaby and they were having a family reunion... he left early to "Check on the store" (they own a "Feed and Seed") and he killed himself there.

HOW DO PEOPLE LOSE ALL SENSE OF HOPE... that this looks like it will END all your PROBLEMS ??

I'm so sorry, I really don't know why people do it, my childhood BFF hung herself 2.5 years ago, I was so angry at her it was hard to grieve IYKWIM!!!!!

Holiday's + Fuel =

What was bad is those that had booked tickets BEFORE this Fuel Hike.. getting hit with Fuel surcharges when they go to check in.

Did not happen to us in June.. but it did happen on some flights.
Or they were just being SNEAKY and charging us for extra luggage.
( it was tough but we avoided that as well)

FYI - per the Dept of Transportation they cannot change terms or service after the ticket is bought. THe new luggage rules, if you bought your tix before the new rules then they can't charge you for the additional bags, same for fuel charges.

Now our house is older.. built 1977... 2000 square feet But we pay $680.00 a month. It has...
5 bedrooms or 4 + office( one is really small.. that's where Scott's office/trainroom is) 2 full baths.. diningroom ..etc.
Split foyer brick and Vinyl.

OMG, I pay $1700 a month for a 3 bedroom ranch style house. And I bought before the market skyrocketed, I know folks who bought in my neighborhood at the height of the market and paid about 100k - 150k more than I did for almost the exact same house!

ANyone heard from T today, how is she and her gpa?

Girls, houses go for a lot here. I have close to 3000 sqf finished and unfinished walkout basement. Our lot is close to 3/4 an acre and we pay a lot for it! And we put a ton down and have a super low rate. And our property taxes could kill ya!

Then why did Delta try to tack a 25.00 charge on us because they counted our bags and saw we had 4 people and 5 suitcases

We told the lady one was carry on.. and she got a little snippy with us. Because the suitcase was just barely within the carry on rules.
Our tickets were purchased months before they started all the new rules.

I saw posted on a travel board that same thing was happening other places.

It was a pain but we managed to shuffle things and I had toiletries in all bags. Would have liked the toiletries all in one place.

Because most airlines figure people aren't aware that the DOT issued a ruling about all these sudden charges. If you complain and point out that you bought the tix before the changes and you are aware of the DOT ruling they back right down.

OK, I'm throwing my prices in too...
We live in a 1350 sq ft ranch (with the same downstairs FULLY finished (drywall, full size windows but no door to outside so they won't 'count' it as sq ftage...duh) I have 5 bedrooms and 1.5 baths.
We paid 210K for this house at the peak of the crazy about 5 yrs ago. There are 6 houses in my neighborhood for sale, 5 of them went into foreclosure. The one with the in ground pool and alot of sq ft was 435K to start. It sold in foreclosure to a guy from Alabama for 125K!!!! I don't plan on selling this house ever. I'd be lucky to get 100K!!!

JO: I'm certain that your sis can get quite alot for 7500 a mo. Mo would know this better than me, but isn't Morristown NJ/Succasunna NJ close by train?

Now that everyone's giving out deets on houses, I have to too...
We have 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, three living and dining. One living area is the formal and has a piano and a couch in it. Then one is the family room where we spend all our time. The third is our school room. Our room has an "exercise room" on it, but that's not going to happen. So, it's the school closet.
I love this house. We bought it new 2 years ago next month. Where we are we got a much better house than in Austin, so I was excited when we moved.
