Good morning! I have some catching up this AM, but wanted to stop and say HI! My DH woke me up with his snoring, so I am going to read the DIS and see if I can fall asleep again.

This is what my mother had planned...
So not much then ;) :rotfl:

OK...whoever was responsible for me reading the "Twilight" books...you are in trouble. I'm supposed to be doing stuff. What I'm actually doing...is reading!
So it's good then????

I finished my school paper this morning - yay! - and I've settled in on a maaaaaajah (said in my very best Posh imitation) project: making a photo book on Shutterfly for Leo, ages 0-5 years. It wouldn't be so challenging if the first couple yearts of his life weren't pre-digital photos. There's a whole lotta scanning going on...... :faint:
Wooohooo on your school paper and Leo's photo book sounds lovely!

And to tell DisneyJo that you are my new favorite. My best Aunt is my Aunt Jo. She is a Disney fanatic. So in my head, when I read your posts, I hear her voice.
Does she have an English accent? :rotfl:

The only problem is Jo isn't really a Brit,

Just a few facts:

1. Does not likes tea!
2. Does not likes Benny Hill
3. and Does not like Monty Python

Now I ask, what self respecting Brit admits such things,

and if I remember correctly isn't she a little fuzzy on the monarchy?

Did you go to Britain on vacation?;)

Yeah, but Jo's Brit accent is questionable, at best;)
Yeah, yeah, yeah Mo I know you love me and my Englishness really :rotfl:

Is anyone else very jealous by this statement? :rolleyes1
Someone actually lives in the Castle so I've never seen it up close before, I didn't even think to take my camera :headache: They're going to do it again next year!

D & I starting moving our bedroom stuff around this morning in anticpation of building the Ikea stuff we bought last week. We've got the bed moved, the yucky dresser outside, the "going to the guest room" dresser in the guest room, and the new TV stand built.
Did you get it built yet?

Katt are you honing in on MY Jo !! Jo you are my BESTEST!!:hug: and I prefer coffee to tea, can't stand Benny Hill or Monte Python!!I really think they both are more popular over here than in England!!:rotfl2:
I definitely think you're right Rosie, those programmes are way more popular in the US than here!

okay, castle, garden , lounge, tea. this sounds just all too cool to me. i can't wait to visit england. one day we will go. we can stay with you for a few weeks , right jo? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Of course :rotfl2:

Hey Janet are those kids related to my nephew? They look very similar :lmao: Sounded like a fun day but as you say looks like a once only trip!

last night, my dh hit a deer with all 3 kids in the car. thank god, everyone was okay.
OMG I'm so pleased everyones OK and how horrid about the patient :eek:

Here are some pics of Jimmy with his new roller skates
Cute :goodvibes

I feel so lazy, but I know that I feel better today than I have all week. So, it must be the right thing to do.
See we were all right, rest is the best medicine :thumbsup2

Good morning! I have some catching up this AM, but wanted to stop and say HI! My DH woke me up with his snoring, so I am going to read the DIS and see if I can fall asleep again.
Hi Jen :wave2:

Well we could here the girls next door in their tent (Ellie went on a sleepover party next door) at 11.30pm when we went to bed and heard them again when we woke up around 7.30am, when I collected Ells she said she was the first to go to sleep at 2.30am :eek: So not much sleep for her :rotfl: About 2 hours ago she fell asleep on the sofa which she so needs, kind of mucks our day up though, oh well!

Janet - nice mini trip report, I have always intended to go ther and have never made it

Rachel - glad the kids weren't bothered by it, very scarey. Here in NJ you can collect your deductible from the state ( or at least you could). The state is responsible for controlling the population, etc. My SIL got hit a few years ago and they got their deductible from the state refunded.

Jo - of course I love you, I just question your Britishness;)

Jen - you still reading?

Morning to everyone else. Not much planned here other than some serious couch time.:thumbsup2

Good Morning all. We are off to a friends house for some swimming and some lunch. Just thought I'd check in and say hi :wave2: Hey, did they move the smilies around again!:confused:

Janet- I love the pics! Something's wrong with those other kids' faces. :eek: You shouldn't let Jimmy hang out with them anymore in case it's contagious! :rotfl2: :duck:

:snooty:

Also- A has been asking for skates, but we live on a hill. I'm so scared already when he comes fish-tailing on his bike down the hill, I can't handle skates, so I've been ignoring him.

We live on a hill too. I figure I have to let him get the normal scrapes and bruises we all got as kids--plus I mostly stay inside when he is on them:rolleyes1

I carefully calculate the fluid needs for my tube fed residents and then calculate how much water the formula contains, and I have the nurses give them extra water through the tube for meds and to meet their needs. Their needs can greatly increase quickly though if they have a fever, infection, etc. which makes it tough. It's a big red flag if anyone gets dehydrated so I watch it pretty closely.
Alzheimers is really a sad way to go--takes away your whole life.

THanks for the infor TE!

Hey Janet are those kids related to my nephew? They look very similar :lmao: Sounded like a fun day but as you say looks like a once only trip!

Maybe they are some long lost relatives:rotfl2:

Definitely for the under 10 set. There were a couple of older kids who were there becasue of little brothers or sisters. They looked bored out of there minds!

And I'm still reading. I stayed up until about 1 reading the 2nd book. Yup...finished the first book in a day.

So, now I'm on to New Moon. Very good.

I'm also house hunting now...so...wish me luck on that! :faint: I don't think I can stay very long with my motha and all of her Lean Cuisines! :rotfl:

Good Morning Fockers! :goodvibes

I am so confuzzled with the DIS being so wonky. Had to laugh at someone's comment about Jimmy only to find the original post w/ pic on the next page! WTH?? :lmao:

Quoting is way to hard this morning.... too much Smirnoff Ice last night.:sick:

V- your flickr project sounds wonderful... wish I had the energy to do something like that! :thumbsup2

Janet - loved the photo's from the Crayola factory. Maddie would so love that! :goodvibes

Rachel - glad to hear no one was hurt. :hug:

Jen2 - what's wrong with Lean Cuisine? :lmao:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Ducks came over yesterday to swim and BBQ - we had a great time laughing and drinkin'! :drinking:
Got nothing planned today but perhaps some pool time with the kids. Gotta work on my color. :beach: NO-V ;)
Happy Sunday Everyone! :yay:
3. Have DGD take another pix:hug:
4. Get to Walmart only to find no memory card in camera.:eek:
5. Call DD where is memory card she says Dog ate it:scared1:
6.Buy another memory card and have DGD take pix # 3:thumbsup2
7. Rush to Walmart before anyone can touch it !!:cool1:
8.Had assistance doing pix and it will be ready in 1 hour!! :thumbsup2
:lmao: I know what you mean! I got nothing done till all 3 books were read! (and then I read them again slower!)
And I'll read them again before Breaking Dawn comes out!
that sounds fun!! from working in the er, i can say there are lots of people who could benefit from some diabetic diet teaching, kwim?! i just luv er, i found my niche there!!! i liked the residents in the nursing home, but as a nurse, it's very hard. there is sooo much to do and you have to supervise the nursing assistants. there were some good ones and there were some not so good ones. even when it's crazy, i gotta luv my er!!:goodvibes
:thumbsup2 Yes, the CNAs do seem to require a lot of attention. We have minimal turn over here there, so many have worked over 20 years--it's a small town too so everyone knows the residents and families which is nice.
I used to work with some former ER nurses--every time they heard a code, their ears would perk up and I'd have to talk them down and say "that's not for us!" (trauma junkies! ;) )
=++++++
well, I actually worked this morning to make up hours from the beach. Running the pup around now and then planning to go see Get Smart. ANyone seem it.
Dang--he's chewing the computer cord.:eek:
And Disney Jo, could you drop the accent so you and my head voice match :hug: TIA
I'll try :rotfl2:
Jo It's Ready !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wooohooo can't wait to meet her :rotfl:
I found some photos of our local Castle where we had the fun day yesterday! It was also on our local news tonight and it was fantastic advertising, basically the Church needs $500,000 to redo the roof and so there are loads of fundraising events happening and they even said on the news that you can buy a tile for the roof and gave an e-mail address :thumbsup2
That's interesting.... I also heard on DIS unplugged or read somewhere there was talk of upping the basic dining to 50 and reincluding the appy and tip... no idea if that has been confirmed yet
It doesn't say anything on the Virgin website about that, also I wonder when they do free dining (if they do it) which DDP you'd get :confused3
Do I have to tell you to take it easy too Kat? Watch your back Missy!
take it easy girl!! i would say, go have some drinks. that's what i would do if given those 2 choices.
I didn't clean we went out instead...details to follow!
OK...whoever was responsible for me reading the "Twilight" books...you are in trouble. I'm supposed to be doing stuff. What I'm actually doing...is reading!
Punks.
LOL See? They are so good I'm actually re-reading them!
Kat - you're not gonna like me.... fond though my memories of PI may be, I'm with WDW on this one, strictly from an economic viewpoint. It's not making money anymore, and FL's economy NEEDS money coming in. Sorry! That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they find a way to keep AC a part of the new complex.
I agree to a point. I just disagree with them closing Ac & The Comedy Club. I have seen that the other clubs don't get much traffic, but closing the whole thing and making it another shopping area? Just seems like less to do at DTD then, to me anyways.
Katt- I am going to PM you, I have the recovery software you need!
~~~~~~~~~~~
SO we went out instead last night! It was my friend's 30th birthday. we went to a little dive bar type place, had some beers (weird for me, not a beer drinker) and then when they left we went across town and went to another bar! I think I am too old for clubs/bars sometimes...lol... everyone was going crazy I felt old. We stayed out pretty late and today I was a mush most of the day trying to recover. I ended up meeting a friend of a friend who knew me from my wrestling days, that was funny!

Now KC is doing the grocery shopping and I am going to bake some Peanut Butter Bread, a recipe I found in my new Paula Dean cookbook. I hope it turns out yummy!

Hi all. Hope you all had good days. We spent the day at JImmy's friend Matt's house. They got in the pool at 12:30 and got out at 6:30:eek: We got home, threw Jimmy in the bath, had grilled cheese for dinner, and now Jimmy is laying on the floor half asleep:banana: Hopefully he will be asleep soon:thumbsup2
