The retired colors are on the little cars in the lower right hand corner
Uh... How did the kids react ??
Ah... now what about the ones they "RE-Named" like "Indian Red"
Do they even talk about them ??

Actually here is a pic of the display about the one's with the name changes. Can't really see the cards for what they say!

They can do a lot of damage!!

Oh...and chicken and ground beef. But, nada in the way of any actual sustenance that Jon can ingest. Whatev. My motha's a loon.
OMG---I had no idea! The poor little crayons--the last of their line.....![]()

Wow--that never happens in my nursing home!hey everyone!!! i'm working a double today, i;m out in triage, so i'll be on when i don't have anyone !! i have an inlaw story i want to ask your opinion on ,but i will probably have to wait until tomorrow when i'm not at work. i just want to know if i'm being witchy or reasonable!! of course, i think reasonable, but want some outsiders opinion.
but in other news, it's been a crazy past 2 days. last night, my dh hit a deer with all 3 kids in the car. thank god, everyone was okay. don't know about the deer-- he couldn't find bambi-- it was dark out, on a country road. but, car is not okay!!!so , insurance company will come out next week, but our deductable is $500!! sucks! but it could be much , much worse. nobody was hurt and that's all i care about. okay, still sucks having to shell out the money

then , at work last night, some pt went postal. security came out. cops were already there for something else. so cop is trying to help. this guy dives towards the cop, so cop pepper sprays the guy , right by the nurses station.we had a full er. quickly shut all the doors. but whole staff was coughing , eyes watering. that crap disperses and lingers forever!!!
dude, we should be on that show life in the er!!!![]()

They rushed her to the hospital last week. SHe is on a feeding tube (comfort only) and she was dehydrated
As my friend was telling me all this it didn't sound right to me and I said to myself "self ask TE that if proper care was administered with the feeding tube would this woman be dehydrated?"
I carefully calculate the fluid needs for my tube fed residents and then calculate how much water the formula contains, and I have the nurses give them extra water through the tube for meds and to meet their needs. Their needs can greatly increase quickly though if they have a fever, infection, etc. which makes it tough. It's a big red flag if anyone gets dehydrated so I watch it pretty closely.![]()
ACtually I thought about you today too TE. My girlfriends mother is in a nursinghome, she is in the end stages of alzheimersThey rushed her to the hospital last week. SHe is on a feeding tube (comfort only) and she was dehydrated

.No, I'm a dietitian and diabetes educator (RD CDE)...I had been working outpt diabetes for years and just recently started PT in a 200 bed rehab/long term care. I really love it though--I find it really worthwhile working with the elderly and I like being able to get to know them.thanks all for your concern![]()
the kids didn't even react really. dh said it was not much of an impact. he only expected to see some scratches. well, he got out of the car and the whole front bumper is dented and hanging off on the side. side panel dented and hood dented. we have a honda pilot and it must be a good car to take that kind of hit and not really "feel" it. so it's all right, just a major.
te-- yeah, i worked in a nursing home when i first got out of nursing school and nothin like that ever happened there. i like it in er , tho!!! what do yo do in the nursing home, are you a nurse?
hello everyone else.
the posts are all screwy, i have to go back and see if i missed any!!!
I'm pretty sure that you won't have to fork over the money for the deductible. usually, it's taken out of the check they give you right off the bat. Maybe you can find someone to do the work for $500 less?
You shouldn't let Jimmy hang out with them anymore in case it's contagious!
I also napped.
My fabulous hubby is still working his buns off. He's cleaned out the whole garage out and is taking 3 loads of stuff the the Goodwill and it's 10p.m.! He also mowed and watered the grass, played with the kids, went to the grocery store, did a bit of housework, cooked dinner and had to go in to the office for 2 hours to get some guy a part.
I couldn't do all of that on a good day!

Do you like the ER?? In TX, I worked in a indigent care hospital and our ER was like a combat zone--lots of people, no beds, and many drive-by shootings/drugs, etc. ( I just got called in to do some basic diabetes education---didn't work too well when they felt like crap then...)

thanks, everything is good. just a pain in the behind!!! have fun seeing wall-e!! oh , read your tr, can't wait to see what happens with motha!!Rach...hope everything is okay!
Tomorrow we're off to see Wall-E!!
