Team Focker Watch Chat - Good Grief We Talk A Lot! Part 5

Reminder to my self - go back to page 32.

Sorry guys, no time to catch up. We're off to the gym, and since I had to reserve daycare time for the boys, I have to actually go when I say I'm going. ;)

Yesterday was crazy with the last day of school, then playgroup, thunderstorms, movie night for a "celebration" of the end of school, the boys waiting up for D, D being super tired because he'd been up since 4:30...

Yikes.

And of course, even though they were up late and it was the first free morning in a long time, they got up an hour earlier than they would for school. And fought like cats and dogs so that I had to get up and intervene. (They are allowed to come downstairs and play or watch TV if they want, without us.)

So I've had a long morning already.

D is flying again, so...

I'll be back later to catch up! Hope everyone is having a great day. :goodvibes

You not working in child care any more Amy?

I'm playing a big golf match tomorrow against the club champion, she's only 18 and plays off of 4, I'm actually dreading the chat more than the golf as she's so quiet and well I like to chatter away, maybe I can chat so much it puts her off :idea: :rotfl2:
Nope.I quit in May and will NOT be returning.I miss my babies but thirteen years of diapers is enough.BTW,I will post a pic later.I haven't forgotten that you wanted to see the hair.Its grown out alot but I changed the hair color.I posted a pic on myspace and thought of posting it here.
sounds like fun!! what beach are you going to?
Panama City Beach,Fl:cloud9:
Hello & Good Evening!
My name is Happy (not my real name...it's Melanie), but still the "Happy" part suits me!! I love to be happy!!!
Hello!!:goodvibes
Can you believe it?! My condo is literally 4.8ish miles from the Gulf. :( I do occasionally drag Leo to the beach anyway, and we actually have a nice time. I'm not into the water myself, given that I'm allergic to salt water, so we sit under the umbrella and read or talk. But I could happily do that all day... Leo's got a 1 hour time limit at the beach! :rotfl:

I am lucky that my kids love the beach.It also helps that we always go with other family/friends so they all have friends to play with.:thumbsup2

Kat,birthday looks great!:cool1:

Janet,loved reading about the trip.:goodvibes I will do a report when I get home but it will mostly be pics.My days are all the same when I am there.Wake up,sit on beach,eat dinner,sleep.:cloud9:
``````````````````
I know there was more to say but I have to go run errands.My engine light has come on and I need to find out what the problem is before I drive it to Florida.:headache:
Reeeeally?? Thanks for that, you may have saved my DVC! ;)
I feel the need to expand on my SSR/Poly thoughts...
I looooove my SSR! But the things I love about it are totally differnt fomr the things I love about the Poly; at SSR, I love the things only DVC can offer: kitchen, condo-like rooms, parking close by. But the Poly is like my dream escape - I'm willing to forgo the DVC amenities for a couple days at the Poly, but no longer than that. I'm in deep, deep trouble the day they decide to DVC the Poly!
And of course, even though they were up late and it was the first free morning in a long time, they got up an hour earlier than they would for school.
Isn't that always the way?! Leo routinely has to be woken up at 7am for school, but gets up on his own on weekends... at 6am! :faint:
Panama City Beach,Fl:cloud9:
Oooo, I've always wanted to go there!
Oooo, I've always wanted to go there!
My kids were the same way but now after a few weeks of late nights I have them sleeping until 9 or 10am.:cloud9:
I love Panama City.:lovestruc I have been going since I was about ten years old.Now that I am "old" we stay on the quiet end instead of the BUSY part.
Good Morning everyone! Sounds like everyone has a busy day ahead of them!
The kids and I are heading to McD's for lunch and a playdate in about an hour and then out to the mall for some shopping. I meant to go yesterday but never got to it.
Check in on y'all later.
Ok cat question---remember I'm trying to get my cat onto canned food but she is not happy. REALLY not happy with the puppy either. At 6 am (yes, I was up), I fed her Friskies salmon and a little of her dry food. Now, I see she actually ate some of it (yeah!), but threw it up (boo). What's with that?
I digress...I would try mixing the two foods. Mostly dry with a bit of wet now, and then ween her off the dry a day at a time. :confused3 Just a thought,
I was going to say mix the foods together, that should help. I feed my cat both foods. he gets a bowl of dry food all the time for whenever he wants it and I give him a little bit of wet food for dinner once a day. He's also a puker, it happens sometimes.
Your best bet for wet food is holistic food!!!! Friskies has so many preservatives and bi products. I don't give the cat anything in it that says bi-product. Even Science Diet has bi-products. I also don't feed him too much fish as thats not good for them. I buy a brand called Merrick for Bale, and he LOVES it.
Hope that helps.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hopefully I'm recovered from my tired spacey stupor I call yesterday. I need to finish cleaning up the house today and I'm going to start going through my cook books looking for new ideas. Other than that its a boring old Wednesday. I'm gearing up for Friday when we go see the in-laws again. Supposedly KC's brother is coming with us, I'll believe that when I see it!

Hope this isn't too small.I am in the middle with my best friend on the left and my SIL on the right.Jo,you probably remember my SIL from the PEEPS thread,Harleygirl.

I forgot to add that I'm making home made bread today. I have never done this before and dough and I do not get along. My biscuts always end up hard as rocks and totally unedible. So, this will be an interesting process. I'll have to let y'all know how it turns out.

Good morning all!

:wave2:

Sorry, not today... I'll do a week review on Thursday... Just don't have the time these days. :(

If we have to wait until Thursday, fine!

Reminder to my self - go back to page 32.

Hi Fockers, Just skimmed the last 2 pages.

I would be happy to take a flat Focker, just PM if you need me.

T - can't wait to read more Barbie stories.

V- Murph has a shore house that I never go to, give me a pool anytime.

Janet - welcome back, I'll have to go back and read, but I did see you had a beer.

Kat - hopefully you enjoyed your b-day, sounds like you had a hangover.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My oldest nephew, Ryan (Kelly's brother) graduated HS last night, and guess who cried like a baby.
OMG, I can't tell you how I will miss that kid when he goes off to college, he has the nerve to go 2 long hours away from home.
Ryan and I have done lots of things together over the years and it was funny at how many of his friends that graduated last night too have slept over my house. I've known most since kindergarten. Where does the time go?????
Hopefully I will get home at a decent time and be able to upload the pics.
While with kelly last night, she displayed some awesome FDM skills.
I get to the house and she runs over and says only 8 more weeks to Disney and I ask how many days is that and we figure it out 58. But Kelly says well today is almost over so that makes 57 and then she added, and Aunt Mo you are picking up the night before so we only have 56 :laughing:
I think we have a junior Focker!!!!
:wave2: Hi Mo!
I think we should name Kelly the Offical TFW Mascot. HEY TE....What do you think oh Supreme Leader:thumbsup2 Those are some fabulous FDM skilz she's sportin':smokin:
Hi just back from thwe graduation and lunch! It went well the girls looked great in their new outfits and jewelry, they are getting so mature looking ( note I said looking) :rotfl2: The real surprise was a gal I used to work with who has moved to Fla was there and we had a ball catching up and just plain laughing!! Than it got better her cousin works at Universal and she can get us FREE passes next year! DD is sooooo excited as she wanted to give Universal a try!!:banana: :banana:
Where do u get that? (would have to be either Petsmart or online for me). I printed a list of foods under 10% carb and the Friskies salmon qualified.....but then she got sick. The Purina DM that the vet gave me is only 6% but she won't touch it. She says life sucks now....and would someone come get this stupid puppy!
Here's baby Bear (his brother was bouncing on top of him on Sunday)..........BTW---I need a nap now--this is like having a new baby!
Reminder to self - page 34. (I only got two pages read? :faint: )
Did you buy anything:rolleyes1
Yup. :rotfl:
Gawgeous pics again doll! You have inspired me to (maybe) try to visit other spots around the world besides Disney. Maybe.
:rotfl: Well, there's always Epcot. ;) Seriously, it's one of the reasons we're not really considering DVC. There are other places we want to go. Blasphemy, I know. :lmao:
First interview is on Wednesday. Then, another on Thursday. Then, possibly one more this week.
We're leaving town on Wednesday for Albuquerque. But, we officially move July 4th weekend!
Since I'm not caught up, you may already have reported, but good luck today! :goodvibes You're moving so soon! :faint:
Well, you'll never guess who got fired today..... yuppers, Tour Guide Barbie. And you'll never guess who's taking her place.... yuppers.... ME! I got everything I asked for... 3 days a week (M-W), the salary I wanted & no problems for 2 weeks off in August- colour me HAPPY!!! I need a code for the Poly for 2 nights!!
That's awesome! :cool1:
OMG!! You'll never guess the faux pas I made today.... I accidentally called the doctor Dr. Botox!! Good thing she didn't hear me, but the other new girl did. She started giggling when I said that... I think I may have found a partner in crime.
NOOOO!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Oh it's all so pretty! Great pics CE!
Ooooh! Versailles! popcorn::
Thanks! Versailles maybe tomorrow.
How can I respect someone who I trained and who I know more than. Just because she cried that she couldn't move up. Excuse me? Whatever it has become ridiculous.
I'm sorry, Z. :hug:
it was fun, but i was ready to get home and down an adult beverage, kwim?!!!
Oh, dear... This cracks me up! :rotfl:
YUP... either my camera or my memory card freaked out and I lost 5 days of pictures. Sara has a few.. but not copies of all.
:hug:
Maybe today will be better. :)
Hope so... :hug:
Leo decides he's done with T-ball and wants to skip it to go swimming. Reason? "Don't wanna be sweaty." I was with him on that one - we did indeed skip T-ball (I don't think he found it to be very fun anyway) and Leo swam after dinner yesterday. He's turning into a little fish!
That's great. I think Buzz would have been with him. Woody was competitive at t-ball. Buzz liked playing with his hat. ;)
Granted, I had on my Charleston LaCrosse t-shirt, primarily because I was cleaning the house yesterday and it's a good house cleaning shirt. But this lady was flipping and she thought little ol' me was in charge :rotfl2: Finally I said "I'm just a parent."
So she grabbed her child off the field and shoved her in the car.
Man! I'm glad you weren't accosted! :rotfl2:
Jimmy is in his last 4 days of daycare - EVER.:scared1:
Woohoo! :thumbsup2
Well golf for me again today and I played like a lemon but played to my handicap so obviously not as bad as I thought :rotfl2: It's also really hot here today :thumbsup2
Jo? How does a lemon play? :scratchin
V- Murph has a shore house that I never go to, give me a pool anytime.
:faint: "The shore" as in the Jersey Shore? And you never go?!?! I dream of being able to spend summers on the north eastern coast and winters down here. :cloud9:
Kelly ROCKS her some FDM! :cool1:
She says life sucks now....and would someone come get this stupid puppy!
:lmao: Sounds just like my Bailey when I simultaneously took away her porch privileges (it was flippin' 90 - those doors needed to be closed!) and brought home a kitten.
Here's baby Bear
Oh TE, he's adorable! :goodvibes
Woody was competitive at t-ball. Buzz liked playing with his hat. ;)
:rotfl2: Yeah, the only part Leo liked was hitting the ball... he didn't want to run, throw or catch. :rolleyes: He did enjoy playing 3rd base, where he socialized with each passing runner. :headache:
:rotfl2: Aiden would taunt the guys with the ball by sticking out his tongue and running to home plate! What a crack up boys are! :rotfl2:
Me - What are you doing?
DR - Nufin'
Me - Oh OK...I'll let you finish pooping and let me know when you are done so I can change you.
DR - No mama! I won't let you know because I like my stinky little butt!
Gotta love kids!
:rotfl2: Oh, dear. My Buzz was going into 4 year preschool where he HAD to be trained. I finally bribed him with a dinosaur toy via an immediate trip to Target if he'd just go on the pot. It worked, and we've never looked back. :thumbsup2
I had an awesome birthday (the best in a while!!!). I'll make another post since I have pics.....
That's great. I loved the pictures and presents, too! :goodvibes
I'm playing a big golf match tomorrow against the club champion, she's only 18 and plays off of 4, I'm actually dreading the chat more than the golf as she's so quiet and well I like to chatter away, maybe I can chat so much it puts her off :idea: :rotfl2:
Good strategy, did it work? :rotfl:
Hello & Good Evening!
My name is Happy (not my real name...it's Melanie), but still the "Happy" part suits me!! I love to be happy!!!
Hi, Happy! I'm CE, SAHM to 6 year old twins. Welcome!
Here is my mini-TR from our weekend...
That all looks great!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm kind of quoting just a couple of pages at a time. But, I got it worked out that we're going to grill out at our "holiday friends'" place this evening, so I have to quit and go shower. D & the other DH are flying together today, so we'll have mom and kids time, then they can join us whenever. :thumbsup2 Between their vacations, ours, and her flight schedule, this may be the only night we have home in common until school starts. :faint: Ridiculous, I say...

Oh, and I did want to vent about the classroom assignments. I knew Buzz had gotten the teacher that our neighbor (who works in the school) isn't so impressed with. But she thought since he can read well, he'd be fine, so we decided not to mess with it.

I'm still OK with that aspect, but I AM really bummed that he doesn't have one close friend in the same room. Woody has at least 3 people he really likes, plus a few more from his kg room. Buzz has 1 kg girl, whom he never mentioned all year, and a couple of Woody's classmates, who were nice, but not his friends, ya know? I just feel really bad for Buzz. He just seems to have stuff like this - bad luck, I guess. If we get a broken Happy Meal toy, it's always his. My mom sends stuff in the mail, his is broken. It's never Woody. Buzz doesn't make a big deal about it, but it kind of breaks my heart for him. :(

So I asked him last night if he wanted me to ask about getting in the same room as "S" or "O" or something. He says he wants to stay where he is - they did go in the rooms and then met the teacher and such. I don't want to make a problem if he doesn't see it, but I'm sad for him. :confused3

I don't know. Sigh.

Don't fall over from shock.......but I have actually FINISHED my TR!!! (I'm giving myself 50 Focker points for that! :lmao: )

(the benefit is that you can still fit it in your carry-on!)

:rotfl2:

Where is T2? Haven't seen her in ages????

I was just thinking the same thing. :confused3

I know there was more to say but I have to go run errands.My engine light has come on and I need to find out what the problem is before I drive it to Florida.:headache:

Hope it's OK! :goodvibes

Isn't that always the way?! Leo routinely has to be woken up at 7am for school, but gets up on his own on weekends... at 6am! :faint:

Yep, that's how it goes here, too. :headache:

So, this will be an interesting process. I'll have to let y'all know how it turns out.

Good luck!

Boy you really got far behind!:faint:

::yes:: Y'all were chatty yesterday.

I can get them downstairs fine. There had to be some rules once they came up with Eggos from the toaster oven :faint: (for us, breakfast in bed) at age 3. Now they can get cereal but not hot food. :rotfl2: I am NOT a morning person, so this works. I usually have to get up to referree fairly quickly, anwyay. :headache:

Ah, well, it's socializing. That's part of sports, right? :lmao:
