Hey guys,
I need all of your advice. I cannot tell you how much I want to be on this team, but I feel as tho' I am letting you all down.
My weak link is my asthma. Every winter I develop a case of asthmatic bronchitis that lingers for months. I cannot run up the steps at work without coughing and trying so hard to breathe at the top. I attempted two run/walks since the start of this competition, but did not log them due to the extremely slow pace (could hardly call it exercise since I stoped often to wheeze and cough).![]()
I really think I will do well with the miles and time (I also bicycle), in a few more weeks, and I'd love to get to know all of you better(--and this was the way to do it), but I should probably drop out since I've already let Team 5 down as the only one not logging in at all. I don't know what else to do?

Marie, don't be ridiculous! I am also asthmatic, and we all know that we're all only one viral germ away from being in the same boat if we get sick. I've been fortunate enough (knock on wood) not to get sick so far this winter, but two years ago my bronchitis was verging on a pneumonia hospitalization. It happens.
Please don't drop out--it's a long year, and I'm sure you won't be the only one with circumstances that prevent you from working out. We need you on our team! For all you know, I'll get one of those nasty summer colds that sidelines me and you'll be the one logging the hours I can't get in.
Hang out here, let us know how you're feeling, complain when you feel frustrated about being sick, and know that you've got us all behind you.
Honestly, i don't care if we "win" or not, as long as we inspire and encourage everyone to do his or her best. Right now, if this post is your best, then thanks for taking the time to post it!

And for crying out loud, feel better! Take a nap. Drink some hot tea. Watch bad daytime television.
