TEAM FIVE: Herc's Heroes--Post miles/hours here!

Hi guys...Just checking out the competition... I think stamp collecting sounds very exciting... don't you! I think all you guys should start and give up the whole running thing! :goodvibes :lmao:

Shan--I don't think I could do a trail run. I'd be too busy making sure I don't trip on anything!

You guys are doing great! You have much to be proud of!

Stacie

Hi team!

Hate to report I've done absolutely no working out since my last report on Friday. I was supposed to do 10 miles on Saturday; instead I took my dad to the ER and spent the next 2 days there at the hospital with him. After a couple shiny new stents yesterday he is back home today. Instead of working out, I cleaned his house and spread his pinestraw for him. Hopefully I'll be back on the wagon tomorrow.

GO THE DISTANCE, HEROES!
Renee

Mon: off! (something about back to back races mumble mumble sore)
Tue: 1 hour bike, 17.77 miles

Actually Matt you should take the whole week off. Your body recovers quicker than your brain so you should rest it. Think about it, all that jarring from the running causing your brain to bounce around in all that open space and really wears it out.

Some brain cross traning is a good idea, how about tomorrow you do a spirited hour or so of leggos. Or you can practice coloring inside the lines.

Helpfull Panda:hippie:

That Panda is always SOOO helpful...
Was hoping to get a DVD done tonight but it hasn't happened yet. Promise to get it done tomorrow on my day off. Yea!! :cool1:

Yes, that Panda sure is helpful. ;)

Larah, you can do it! Tomorrow you'll be swept with a desire to workout (that's the best I can do for motivational :confused3 ). :)

Me? 45 minutes of pilates on the floor while watching Biggest Loser (it just didn't feel right watching it while sitting on the sofa).

does snow shoveling count? if so I shoveled for 2 hours yesterdayprincess:

Contrary to popular persuasion I am not taking the week off. ;)

However today was my first official taper run, so mileage these next couple weeks will be slacking through the mary on 3/2.

Wed: 4 miles, 37:34

Felt pretty good, a little sore post-weekend, but was running solid pace faster than previous weeks with less perceived effort, so obviously the "speed-racer" attempts are helping in that respect.

Contributed a little to our cause this morning. :lmao:

Ran 2 miles / 21:23
Warmup & cooldown .50 / 10:00

Let's go Herc's!!! :cheer2:

I am so tired of this weather. Cold, icy, slushy, crud. I need spring and sunshine!

Did manage to get 3 miles on the Gazelle this afternoon, 31.40 minutes.

Allyson

I'm still unable to do much - (my back spasmed))

I did get 10 min of walking in - but I truly forgot the number (it was under a mile so I'm going to just record it as exercise minutes)

(see Marie you're not alone!! baby steps!!)

Matt be careful about that taper madness...

I second the tired of cold, snow and ice - we're in line for more!! Its been so long since we've had this much snow in Februrary!! (we've been known to be hit with a blizzard once - but now 4 times!!)

(PS Thanks for the support on the eye2eye shirts!!)

I had hopes of doing more later, but now I'm doubting myself so I'm posting now. I did 4 miles, 55 minutes with my pal Leslie. I, too, am ready for this dreadful weather to pass. Fortunately I leave on Saturday for Orlando! Yahoo! Just have to figure out where to jog down there since we aren't staying on Disney property...

So hi, I'm a total slacker here. I still haven't fully recovered from bronchitis and I continue to feel like I am hacking up a lung. The fact that I have a 10K in a few weeks and I have run twice since the Goofy is actually starting to freak me out!

So I apologize for having not contributed to the cause too much yet.:guilty:

Your doing fine sweetheart. The other teams are so worried about you guys having a couple of triathaloners on this team that they are freaking any way. If the rest of you start getting miles to I'll never hear the end of it. So please just relax and get well.

Whats up Heroes? Just finished my last workout for the week so I decided to post my totals.

Total Miles: 63.28
Total Time: 4:45:00

Good luck team and stay healthy.

Wow--we've been busy heroes, haven't we?

As for those feeling under the weather or in the repair shop....

Last night I told dh I was cold; he told me to pull up the comforter. I yanked it and didn't realize there was a 45 pound weight holding the comforter down (the dog had climbed up) and wrenched my shoulder/neck, pulling my now-knotted up trapezius (trapezius is my arch-enemy). Now my neck is so stiff I can barely turn my head, so I'm icing the muscles down every 20 min. for 20 min. since I got home from work; I'm about to give it 10 hot minutes in the tub and go to bed!

Taking today (and probably tomorrow :( ) off from the workout sked. to let this relax.

Sorry, guys. :(

Thur: 1 hour ride on the trainer, estimate 18 miles

I fly out to Death Valley, CA for a camping trip with DW and my fam, and then we're doing a couple days in Vegas on the way back, so you won't hear from me until Wed or so. Will post what little training I get done over there though. ;) Goal is to do my 13 miler on a route that includes Badwater, the lowest point in the US at over 200 feet BELOW sea level. :woohoo:

Here to report my paltry total for today, which means for the week after dealing with my dad's health crisis.

2.5 miles in 35 minutes
2.8 miles in 26 minutes

Tomorrow will be a long run, I hope!
Renee

Just got back from a 5 miler - 10:34 pace. Glad it is over, every run this week hurt. I'm a tad scared about the next two weeks - I have two really long runs (for me at least) and this week was supposed to be a recovery week!

OK...
So here are my week totals -
ran 14 miles / 2:32:47
warmup & cooldown 2.5 miles / 0:40:00

16.5 miles / 3:12:47

Go team! :cheer2:

Duckie, I added .50 miles onto my total this week cause it wasn't on the spreadsheet from last week. Hey, every bit counts, right? ;)
