Teacher discounts

For Borders, I was told it was only for school materials when I signed up.

Also want to add Verizon. We get 18% off our initial line, we are both teachers, but only 1 discount for the accont.

I was in Borders the other day and overheard the discussion between the customer in front of me and the employee.

The employee asked the customer if all these books were for her classroom. When the customer said no, the employeed told her that the only ones elligible for the discount were ones that she would be using for her classroom...

At about that time I got called over to another register so I didn't hear the rest of the conversation...

So I don't know if this was for some type of discount beyond the "normal"? Or maybe an ill-informed employee?

I have the card for Barnes and Noble teachers discount since we homeschool, and they always ask me if everything is for classroom use, and I just say yes.
they never have any problems with it. and yes I usually only buy things we will use in our "classroom"

that may have been a homeschooler in that line, borders gives the discount too

I haven't gotten any discounts at Staples but do use my Teacher rewards card to get a better return quarterly for the products I buy.

I too have found that the teacher discount at the S&D isn't always worth it after the fees are added. It also seems like almost every time that I call to inquire about one that they do not have any. I almost wonder if they only offer them when they know that teachers are in session.

We've used my discount at Apple by showing my badge.

hmm.. My teacher discount is the only discount that LOFT does let me combine with other offers.

I wish that I lived near your Loft. They always tell me that I have to choose 1 or the other.
